OOC XD poor Alistair, he's just there, not sure where this hostility is coming from.
IC Alistair jumped slightly in surprise when Marcos was just...there, but he kept it to himself pretty well and offered him a welcoming smile. "Hello Marcos," he introduced, honestly he really got the idea that the guy didn't like him, and Alistair just couldn't understand why. He really didn't think he had done anything to deserve anyone there's hostility, what, bring them to the house of winds, tell them there are others like them, unite them. He didn't understand it at all. However Alistair was also the embodiment of politeness, so he was going to be just that, polite. No matter how the other person acted.

amaryllis ielvagthere are no bargains between lions and men - - -A pest. That was all that Marcos was to her: a pest. A sweet pest, granted, but a pest nonetheless. He was always at Amaryllis's side calling her pet names and complimenting her and that soft wind was definitely no stranger to her skin. "Marcos, what a pleasure," she managed to grind out. Marcos wasn't her most favorite person on earth but Amaryllis could deal with him.

(Oh no! Poor Alistair! Marcos is such a brat though!)
Marcos nodded quietly to Alistair. Acknowledging him at least. At Amaryllis' greeting though he arched his brow lightly and rolled his eyes. "Always so unhappy to see me, you seem." He then sat himself back and stretched a bit before buckling his seat belt and glancing out the window. "Where are we going then?" His question a bit curt but that was Marcos after all.
Truly, it wasn't that he disliked Alistair, it was that he disliked him being close to Amaryllis in this sense. He appreciated Alistair's openness and geuinine care, also that he'd found Marcos and told him about this place. In retrospect, had it not been for Alistair he would not have met the beauty of Amaryllis. Perhaps he shouldn't be so cold towards him? That fleeting thought was quickly expunged though, as his eyes moved back to Alistair and he watched him carefully to ensure nothing transpired between him and Amaryllis.
(And thank you Zip!)

OOC And to think, Alistair doesn't even want a relationship right now. Poor thing, getting thrown into all this.
IC "We we're going to town. To the pet store, Amaryllis wanted to look at the snakes and we were hoping they would have puppies, afterwards we were going to a few other places. I need notebooks, some people wanted a shake, they're in another car though. Amaryllis suggested a movie," Alistair explained with ease, leaning back in his seat and focusing on looking out the window, for when the driving actually started, considering he had a tendency to get car sick. It really wasn't fun, but he kept that to himself for the most part.

amaryllis ielvagthere are no bargains between lions and men- - -In a display of true merciful kindness, Amaryllis allowed Marcos to stay in the car and ride along with them. Who was she to deny someone getting out of the house? She understood all too well what it felt like to be cooped up and isolated and, even though he could go anywhere whenever he chose to, Marcos was more than welcome to come because of that.
"We're going into town," she answered as she turned around to reverse out of the garage. Amaryllis did her best to avoid his gaze but, unfortunately, it was inevitable that their eyes would meet. When they did, she quickly turned back around and headed down the driveway. "Nocona wants a milkshake, Alistair and I want to see a movie and I want to go to the pet shop and get a snake. You can go off and do whatever you want, Alistair and I will be fine alone." A sly move to try to insinuate that Alistair and herself were more than friends, one that hopefully both of the boys picked up on.

As their gazes met Marcos smirked in the slightest, he always enjoyed the sight of her soft gaze. Marcos then listened to each explain the trip and nodded quietly. Though, at the description Amaryllis gave, he arched a brow and cast a gaze towards Alistair. It was obvious Amaryllis had intentionally not offered for Marcos to accompany them to their destinations. Why did she insist on pushing him away? Rolling his eyes once more e seemed to pout for a moment. "I would like to see the pet store as well." He muttered after a few moments of silence. "What movie will you see?" Finally came the next question. Obviously apprehensive about the two of them being alone together, like a father almost. His eyes moving from Amaryllis to Alistair, then back again.

Amaryllis Ielvag there are no bargains between lions and men. Amaryllis rolled her eyes, pretty much coping Marcos as he questioned her about what move they would be seeing. "I don't know, Marcos," she said in an exhaustive sigh. "I don't watch much TV, therefore I don't see many movie commercials, ergo I don't know which movies are out. Why does it matter?" It was certainly going to be a long car ride.

IC "You could come with us, if you wanted," Alistair suggested as he was an oblivious idiot and if Amaryllis had been suggesting they go to the movie alone, as some sort of date or something, Alistair did not catch on. "If that's okay with Ama, of course. Because I really don't mind," he explained with a small, simple shrug. He was looking forward to visiting the pet store though, maybe they had chinchillas. Which were basically his favorite animal ever, they were very soft, how could anyone not fall in love with them? Then of course, a movie could be fun...though he had problems sitting around for too long, especially when he couldn't get up and move around every so often.

Marcos huffed like a child having his fbeen punished. "It was merely a question, cariΓ±a." He muttered as he began to pick at his nails a bit. Then his gaze snapped up to Alistair when he suggested Marcos come along. Nodding in response he inwardly smirked to himself. "I would happily come." He simply replied, a hint of smug enjoyment in his tone. His mind flicked over the pet store then, Marcos enjoyed animals though was a bit uneasy around snakes. And seeing Amaryllis was headed to get one, he felt a bit of uneasiness get to him then. Marcos put up a good front of stoic, uncaring but truly, snakes were some of the most terrifying things to him. He preferred his creatures have legs and fur, not slither on their bellies and engulf other creature whole. A shiver moved up his spine at the image of that thought and he looked back ahead to the pair and waited quietly for Amaryllis to respond.

Amaryllis Ielvag there are no bargains between lions and men. Amaryllis flashed a quick glare at Alistair as if to say, "How stupid can you be?" Unfortunately, though, she didn't have the ability to be that rude so instead she just groaned and continued on driving. She could tell that Marcos was going to be pretty much insufferable today and she made a mental note to annoy him more by being as affectionate towards Alistair as she could.
After they exited the driveway and the tires hit the paved road, Amaryllis turned on the radio to an indie-rock station. The car was too quiet without music. As she let her hand drop from the buttons, she drifted it towards Alistair's arm and gripped it gently. "Thank you for coming along with me. I couldn't stand to be inside a day longer."

IC Alistair stiffened as his arm was gripped, he was so uncomfortable with this stuff, really he was, but it would be rude to just tell someone to please don't invade his space. So he just...put up with it. "It's really no problem. Getting out was a good idea, and I think a lot of people at the house really could have used a trip out. It's good for all of us to get out for awhile," he agreed, glancing over at Amaryllis and flashibgvher a quick smile. Then after he looked back to the window and watched as things began to pass by. "Besides, I don't think anyone could resist a chance to go to the pet store. Do you think they have chinchillas? Those are some of the best animals out there, so soft and adorable," he said, rambling on just slightly about them.

As Amaryllis reached and hooked Alistair's arm, Marcos tensed and clenched his jaw. He knew she was doing it on purpose but I've couldn't make it not bother him. Pushing his gaze out the window he tried to just listen to the music, though their conversation was too distracting. "Did you know Chinchillas hail from Peru?" He mutters, attempting to be polite for a bit, though it came out a bit strained and slightly hostile. "Store don't often carry them without special request though." He added then. Not being able to help himself at a jab towards Alistair's happiness and enthusiasm. His gaze moved to Amaryllis' in the rear view mirror before he looked back at the passing world beyond them.

Amaryllis Ielvag there are no bargains between lions and men.Amaryllis smiled wider as Alistair brought up chinchillas. They were sweet animals with great dispositions, even without her working her magic on them. She wouldn't mind owning a chinchilla but she would have to keep it away from any snake she bought - but maybe that wouldn't be a problem with her abilities.
"Chinchillas are so sweet. If they don't have any, I'll make a special order," she said with a pointed glare into the rear view mirror that was aimed at Marcos. How rude was he, dashing Alistair's hopes like that? Tsk tsk. "Marcos, can't you be quiet for maybe ten minutes?"

IC Oh. He didn't know you had to make a special order for one, that was disappointing, but maybe they could make a special order and then everything would by far be worth it. "Well, I didn't know that's where they were from. I guess you learn something new every day," he said, glancing back over at Marcos with a friendly smile. (This is short cause my phone is about to die, sorry!)

Marcos flashed a glare to Amaryllis now, something he didn't often do, but that was truly harsh. He scoffed and clenched his jaw, "Fine." He muttered simply. If that was what she wanted from him then he could oblige for now. But, with Marcos, it was truly a question of how long he could hold his tongue. Though he was typical a quieter individual within the whole group, in smaller areas such as this he had no problem making his opinion know. A sarcastic a rather hot-headed Spaniard, true to his nature and true to his heart. His gaze moved back outside, and remained there for the time being. Now it was a waiting game between he and Amaryllis to see who would win this round.

(Thanks s'more! ) Shelby sat on a lawn chair in the yard, leaning back and enjoying what time he had. Today was his day off after all. He wanted to spend some quality time by himself. Which was nearly impossible for him to do, considering being alone left his susceptible to all of the life choices that he had made previously and the outcomes of every single one of those choices. But Shelby knew better than to leave himself prey to, well, himself. He was currently sat down with a news paper folded up neatly in one hand to allow for him to read the specific news story that he had chosen, and a white mug of light brown coffee in the other hand. Taking a sip, he looked into the mug before swallowing. Most people drank coffee with creamer. But Shelby had gotten into a bad habit and was drinking what might as well have been creamer with coffee. Just like she liked it. Shelby stopped that thought, shook his head, grunted lightly, and looked back down to his newspaper. He hummed softly to his himself as his one good eye slowly scanned the page, sending information to his brain to be processed and stored. And that's basically how Shelby's entire life ran. Mechanically. At least, that's how it had run for the past 5 years. Setting down his coffee, Shelby unfolded the newspaper to turn the page before folding it back up neatly, place it in his lap and taking a sip of coffee. Suddenly, Arsinoe stepped out of the building behind him. He silently watched her walk over to the green house, or the black house as he had labeled it in his own head considering its contents. As she reached for the door handle, Shelby cleared his throat before speaking out. "Oi, missy. Dontchu see the sign on the door? Bloody hut'll kill ya before ya let go of the handle." He said to her, his medium toned voice accentuating his British accent.

Arsinoe Akielosthe moon has awoken, with the sleep of the sun the light has been broken, the spell has begun Having someone just randomly start talking to you wasn't exactly something that made Arsinoe smile and be kind to the person. Instead, she generally went out for the attack - which was exactly what she did when Shelby began talking to her. Arsinoe instantly whipped around and fixed her dark, unsettling gaze on him. "Excuse me?" she hissed, looking a bit feral as she posed her body to face the older man. In fact, she looked wholly unnatural.
"I am the poisoner, I am the one who requested that this be built. But maybe you should take a step inside without a mask, since you obviously know so much?" Pleasant, she was. Truly, she couldn't figure out why people didn't like her. But in all honesty she didn't like people and had adopted her personality because of it. When she got too close to people, they became too annoying for her to handle. "Piss off."
Amaryllis Ielvag there are no bargains between lions and men. Finally Amaryllis was awarded some peace and quiet. She felt a bit rude for how she had acted, though, and it was obvious by the way she started to stress her bottom lip. It was a nervous tick she had developed when she had been a young girl and she had, unfortunately, carried it into adulthood as a very obvious tell of her emotion. The silence was too much to handle now, even with the radio on, and she reverted to her kind personality after a few more minutes.
"Sorry, Marcos," she muttered in apology.
