She listened to the footsteps quietly, listened to them make their rounds through the hall as she sat there, watching the door. She had no idea what time of day it was, or what day it was, what month or year. She had no idea. All she knew was that today was the day she was getting out of this hell hole. Another round, and then another, the guards walking through their usual routine. It never changed. There was always two guards, always walking opposite each other down two different ends of the hall until they turned around. Hauling herself up, she made her way towards the door, peeking out quietly, only ducking back when a guard passed by her door. The hall was quiet minus the footsteps and she grinned silently to herself. First, the door. Once that was open it would be a cake walk, or at least that's what she thought. You know she could totally take on two well armed guards trained to combat her and the other freaks, two fit men who were well fed and well rested. Yeah, she had this. She eyed the door, looking it over before gritting her teeth as her hands grew a bit, the clawed ends growing larger until she punctured them through the metal door, making a loud noise that caught the attention of the guards. Right, okay now just slowly....rip the door apart. With a bit of effort, she managed to rip a hole in the door. Step one: Get the door open, check. Step two: don't get killed. "Hey!" a guard exclaimed as they rushed over, pulling out their guns, and one pulled out his taser. They weren't supposed to kill unless absolutely necessary. And so the woman took a step back into the shadows of her cell, taking a deep, slow breath. She had this, and if not, well, at least death would be welcomed. The guards inched closer, warily, watching the darkness that the woman lived in. Until suddenly black threads shot out and grabbed one, dragging him into the cell screaming and it wasn't long before the noise died down and the other guard opened fire into the cell. Okay yeah she should have thought that out better, pressing herself close to the floor and swearing profusely under her breath. And then the click of an empty magazine reached her ears and she grinned, darting forward and rearing her hand back before thrusting it forward through the man's chest. "You almost got me," she mused, ripping her hand free.
Stepping over his body, she looked around, squinting in the light of the hallway, swaying a bit because that had been too much action at once for her underfed body. Right, step two: don't die, check. Now onto step three: figure out which of the freaks was still alive. Looking around at the cells that lined the hall, she swallowed a bit. They were probably locked as well. Turning back to the guards, she stumbled forward a bit, searching for a key before she pulled it off his belt, looking them over and then at the cell doors. "Great," she muttered before standing up, pushing her dirty hair out of her face. One by one she went around, unlocking the cell doors and when she finished, she stepped back to watch the others emerge, if they ever did. Hey if not then maybe they were dead and they weren't dragging along. She'd only take the ones who were alive. She had no idea that there was a security camera watching and at the moment a group of guards, armed and ready, were headed straight for the hallway they were in. Did the woman have a plan? Nope. She had no idea that she'd actually make it this far, so at this point she was ready to just wing it.

There was an oddly calming rhythm to the quiet moments. The steady tapping of the guards' boots as they patrolled the corridors wasn't unlike the ticking of a clock and she often found herself counting the steps as they continued onwards. These comforting pattern was only broken when the guards switched out and the next pair took over. The pattern was a good thing. It meant nothing bad was going to happen for a little while. She could let herself relax and take some time to breathe. She listened to the boots pass her by, then let her head fall back against the wall, eyes beginning to flicker closed as she felt herself drifting off.
The peace didn't last. After a heartbeat, a screeching sound reached her ears, the sound of metal scraping against metal. Sitting upright like a shot, she fixed her gaze on the door as her stomach began to twist and churn. This wasn't part of the rhythm. Which meant something bad was happening. She immediately scrambled into the far corner, pressing her back against the cold surface. Then came the gunshots and the fear of further torture disappeared, swallowed by something else altogether. This was something else, the guards almost never used their guns, not unless something had gone horribly wrong with one of the others in this place. It always ended with the same glimpse of a gurney wheeling a covered body down the hall, taking it somewhere else and leaving those unfortunate enough to survive behind. The shots soon died down and she sighed, burying her head in her elbow and waiting for the steps to start once more.
Except they didn't. Instead, she heard the scraping of a key in the lock and the grind of the hinges as the door swung open. She wasn't sure what she expected to see, maybe the barrel of a guard's gun or one of the lab workers ready to start something new and twisted. Instead she caught a glimpse of someone in the doorframe before they continued down the hall, leaving the door open. She just stared at it for a moment, not sure how to respond. Perhaps it was a trick. It seemed like something a bored, curious mind might try to see what sort of reaction one could get from a captive. But then again, if it was indeed a chance, she had to at least look a little closer. So she drew herself up to her feet, knees quivering for a moment as she took a few cautious steps forwards and looked through the open door. And it wasn't the only open door from the looks of it. Every door was being flung open and Eliza took one more careful step across the threshold to join the people in the hall.

Last night- was it night? It was hard to tell when one lived inside a windowless building their entire lives -Vella had slept approximately five minutes, total. This happened a lot. Visions of spooky things to occur, only that they never occurred. The scientists were never concerned or thought anything of it, seeing as none of these "visions" ever came true. So when the young woman heard the sound of metal shrieking, gunshots, and finally the turning of locks? Well, let's just say it was all a little to familiar for comfort.
She sucked in a breath, pressing her back against the cold wall her cot was bolted to, drawing her knees to her chest and toying with the hem of her white dress. Being the scientists' favorite, she got special privileges, such as some nice clothing, or extra food, or in general better treatment. There were still times of excruciating pain, though she was pretty confident that she experienced that much less often than her fellow experiments. Now, she wasn't saying she didn't want to leave. The idea of finally being free was as enticing as ever. However, the trouble arose that if whoever had gotten out gets caught, and she was with them, she could kiss her special treats goodbye. That is, if they didn't simply kill her.
Vella stared at the door as it was tugged open, spotting a malnourished body at the entrance only for a moment before she heard more doors opening. Whoever it was, they were letting them all out. But what if this went wrong? Her nightmare hadn't ended well. One wrong turn down a hallway, and a pile of nondescript faces were left dead on the linoleum ground. Her brow furrowed, lips pursing. Was it worth it?
Although she was shaking, Vella pushed away from the wall, delicately placing her stockinged feet on the cold floor. A sharp intake of breath hissed between her teeth, though she couldn't tell if it was from shock of the temperature or disbelief that she was actually doing this. When she finally, gingerly stepped past her door way, her features immediately twisted into an expression of disdain. "Hey! Hey, you! Maybe you'd like to introduce yourself to us!" She huffed, glaring down the hallway towards Raven.

The man concealed within a sealed cage perked up at the sound of the door shifting open. He didn't hear much from within his cell, and over time, he had associated this noise with misfortune. "Crap, what now?" he muttered, dragging himself to his feet. When no guards kicked the door open with guns, he became curious, creeping forward in his claustrophobic padded cell. Prying the door open, he peered out into the corridor, where he saw other people and mutated experiments out in the hallway. Aleksandr slowly joined the group lingering in the back, cautious. He didn't know if one of these experiments were just set to detonate by one of the crazy "for science!" guys in the back. He was, however, familiar with what they were capable of, and the limits seemed nonexistent: physical, or moral.

Teigue was having a grand ol time in his cell. His very, very plain cell. Hell, they didn't even give him anything to sleep on, it was completely empty, as last time he had a cot he managed to mangle the bed frame and bludgeon a guard with it one fine testing evening. And so, many of his nights were spent sitting on the floor, switching through all the channels that ran through the facility. You'd be surprised at the amount of gossip the guards chatted about over their radios, and boy he felt like he was watching some sweet, sweet reality tv every night. Of course, that was when they weren't plotting what to do with the other experiments next.
And that was exactly how Teigue found out about the break-out. Being placed about 4 floors under, he was getting none of that easy freedom. What he assumed was a normal day was promptly interrupted as the usual radio buzz turned frantic, everyone and their mother shouting about how 'the freaks had gotten loose!'. It made his heart race and he scooted his way towards the door, frantically pressing his hands to it as if they would suddenly open for him. It was as manual as you could get, and no fancy electronic locks for him to screw with. He only knew that the guards switched off the keys, and that likely one of them was somewhere on the scene of the current crime. With only one way to solve this dilemma, Teigue pressed his forehead to the cold concrete and closed his eyes, drowning out the sounds of real life and trading them for something digital, something that whispered at him constantly. After a bit of sifting, considering the facility's walls were so immensely thick, he zeroed in on one of the security camera feeds that definitely displayed a whole bunch of escaped experiments. Turning all the security cameras towards the one main girl, the tall one, he scrambled around the frequencies until he rode one of the dead guard's radio, letting out a bit of static before calling out to her in a crackled and faraway voice. "Yo! Can someone let me outta here?"

Raven slowly turned around to face the others, eyes locking on the girl and narrowing a bit,"Raven, what's it matter to you?" she snarled before looking at the others. She honestly had no idea what to expect, she didn't know if she expected more or less to have survived, but not that it mattered, so far it seemed that everyone who was alive was healthy enough to at least walk. Now they just had to find their way out and it would all be good to go! Jumping at the sudden noise coming from over a radio, she frowned and eyed it warily,"who...who's talking?" she asked, because hell if she knew! All she knew was that the radio was talking to her. Slipping through the crowd, she crouched down and worked on getting the radio off the belt before standing up,"and where are you?" Oh how she hoped this wasn't some trap and they were about to lose their newly earned freedom, and she really hoped it was just another freak waiting to be set free. She definitely hoped it was the second option. Making her way back to the front of the small crowd, radio in hand, she looked around at the others, strange eyes scanning over each of them silently, getting a head count because hey, that would be important for when they got out of there. She'd need to know who they'd lost on their way to the outside world. "Right...well I'd love to get to know the rest of you, but that's going to have to wait until later, because right now we need to get out of here. After finding out where this loser is," she stated, holding the radio up before looking at the door and eyeing it, her free hand growing out again and she grit her teeth as she punctured it with her claws and worked on ripping it off, grinding her teeth together before it was off and she let out a breath, peeking her head out warily and looking around. She was still completely unaware that guards were on their way up to their floor to subdue all the little freaks that happened to get out.

Vella wasn't sure if she hadn't been expecting Raven to comply, though she certainly looked taken aback. People didn't talk to her like that, not as far as she could recall. Hugging quietly with indignation, she crossed her arms, eyeing Raven. "Fine then. Hello Raven. I'm Vella."
Her introduction was for naught, seeing as the girl almost immediately turned away to address other matters. Vella couldn't blame her, though she was still a little pissed. Glancing around at the others as Raven spoke, she noted how the others looked much less pristine than herself. Still worried, this was enough to at least make her stand taller with her usual, haughty pride. She raised a brow at the radio, hoping Raven knew what she was doing. Wincing at the excruciatingly loud noise of the door getting torn off, the look of disdain returned to her face. "Think you could be any louder, Raven? And do you even have a plan beyond being...unnecessarily destructive?"

Genuinely, Teigue was surprised that someone cared enough to reply. He had sort of chalked the rest of the experiments up as sort of loners, and he couldn't blame them with the treatment they received, but surprise, they had hearts! That was, unless they showed up to kill him, which looked like a potential outcome considering how intense that whole destruction thing was going for this girl. "I'm 4 floors below you, you could take the stairs to the left at the end of the hall, butttt I'm like 80% sure there is an army after ya," he responded, doing a quick sweep of more video feed. It was a lot all at once, and it took him at least a minute or two to sort through it all like organizing photos or separating film. "There's a floor vent by the stairs on the right that can take you down a few flights, my door has a delightful sparkly number 8 on it."

{ Sorry this is a bit on the short side. I'm on mobile c': }
Yoongi would have escaped a long time ago (or tried to) if the scientists weren't smart enough to keep his body in such a malnourished and weakened condition that passing through the steel door of his cell would have literally ripped him apart. He was desperate for freedom, for some way out of this mess, but he wasn't so far gone that he would commit suicide.
It was just as well, because one day (or night, he couldn't tell anymore), the predictable sound of footsteps coming up and down the hall ended in the sound of gunshots and Yoongi wasn't sure what he was expecting to happen after that, but it certainly wasn't for his cell door to be opened. He sat there for a while, staring at the open door, wondering if his mind was playing tricks on him, wondering if he tried to step through it, he'd find that it was still closed and this was his mind's way of telling him to give up and let himself disintegrate into nothing.
It took a whole minute and a half for Yoongi to gather his legs under him and stand. It took another minute for him to reach the door and slip past it. The fact that it was indeed open confused him until he saw that all the other cell doors were open as well and there were...there were other 'freaks', like him, standing there. He said nothing, only wandered a bit closer to them, trying to understand what was going on even as the blood was pulsing in his ears and his head was swimming with newfound hope.

Eliza couldn't believe her eyes. She had known there were others and she had known there used to be far more of them, but was this really all that remained? This group was small, frail, and obviously going to die as soon as the guards spotted them. Perhaps it would be better to just stay in her cell.
Then again, she was no fool. The likelihood of the entire project being scrubbed and restarting from scratch after an escape of this magnitude was probably very high. Even if she didn't go, she would end up dead sooner or later. Taking a deep, shaky breath, small cheeks smoke began to rise from her hands as she twisted them nervously. She was staying.
As the voice came in over the radio, she tilted her head to listen. How was he doing that, how did he know about the guards or the vent? It sounded far too shady and far too risky for her and she cleared her throat before she spoke, though her voice was still extremely hoarse from disuse, "We should just go. If it's a trick, we're dead. If it's not, it's too much time wasted wandering around this place."

Hello Night :,) so basically Raven took out the two guards on their floor and has freed everyone, but poor Teigue because of his poor conduct is in a different cell on a different level because he doesn't know how to behave xD so now he's contacted them on a radio and telling them there are guards on their way and where to find him x3 and Vella is being a whiny butt and yeah c:

Raven barely registered Vella's introduction, she was more focused on working on getting the group out of there after they found out where the loser on the radio was. Okay so this would probably be harder than she thought, trying to get this group down to where the separated one was, and then getting them out of there. "Right, thanks, guess we'll see you in a bit, and if you're tricking us, I'll rip your head off," she warned before looking down at Vella. With a smirk, she leaned forward a bit,"babe, being unnecessarily destructive is my entire plan," she turned back towards the open door, looking over at Eliza,"don't worry, sweetheart, you'll be fine. I plan on getting every last one of you freaks out of here alive. Maybe not in one piece, but you know, it'll be fine I'm sure," she smirked before stepping out. Looking towards the stairs they'd ben warned about, she eyed it warily, looking around at the rest of the hall and finding there was nothing in it to barricade the door with. Alright so this would be fun. "Come on," she ordered, heading for the floor vent they'd been told about and ripping it off, stepping aside and grinning at the group,"off you go, I'll be right behind you. Gotta make sure nobody gets through that door. So in you go, and do try to stay together, wouldn't want one of you straying and getting lost or killed."

Aleks swung his head as the rapid conversing took place, trying to pick up if these guys knew anything that he didn't. It seemed that they were going on a rescue mission to save another experiment, but at the risk of their own freedom. He didn't like the thought of him getting stuck here with doubled security measures just because some other experiment wasn't there with the rest. He liked the 'cut our losses and get the hell out' option. But, his opinion didn't seem to matter, nor did he speak on it. The seeming leader of this rag tag team had already made up her mind. He was reluctant to risk his newfound freedom, but no man left behind appeared to be the policy. Besides, looking at the corpses of the guards, he wasn't sure he was ready to defy the one that introduced herself as "Raven".

Destiny heard the guards outside in the hallway. Looking up from where she sat on the floor of her cell, she jumped a bit at the sound of gunfire. Had someone broke into the facility? Or had someone broken out? Either way, she didn't like how the noise died away as if nothing had happened. It brought an eerie feeling that sent chills over her body. This wasn't normal, and the girl didn't like it.
Then her cell was unlocked. If she listened carefully, she could hear the other cells being opened as well, followed by voices. There were no guards barging into her cell to drag her away, which was odd. Standing slowly, she crept towards her opened door and peered outside. The occupants of the other cells were literally running down the hall. Were they escaping? They were dead if they were, but if they managed to get free...
that thought was enough to urge Destiny from her own cell, following the others. She had no idea what was going on or what would happen, but if they could actually make it out of this place, she would follow.

He hadn't been paying enough attention to catch the girl's name, but Yoongi didn't bother to ask for it. If someone was going to willingly take charge, he would not complain, not with the state that he was in. The floor vent was ripped off and the girl stepped aside. Yoongi studied the opening to the vent and he thought of how much easier it would be if he could afford to allow his body to slip through the ground, if only he could afford to allow himself to teleport. But his body was fragile and it would not survive.
So he walked over to the vent and he dropped through it. Not his most brilliant idea, but the thought of freedom drove him forward. He'd been wanting for freedom, for even a vague sense of it, for so long and he would not pass up the chance to be free. If going down to save this other person, whoever he was, was going to bring Yoongi one step closer to that freedom...well, he wasn't about to complain.
