ƖƝƬƦƠ:
The year the Beasutals began their rise was 2023, and the Human world is dying. The humans had used up nearly 90% of the planet's environment in their over population and greed. The leaders of the time in needed to stop the deforestation and poisoning of the world's water. The great minds in the genetics field of that time found a way. They worked out a mutation virus that would decrease the human need to build and expand. Turning back the clock genetically on them so to speak. They searched out and found 12 different people To test it out. When the tests came out successful for all 12 they went and showed the leaders what they did. However, The leaders did not like the results given to them. In their minds, the scientists were supposed to change nature make it bend to the will of the humans, not bend the humans to the will of nature.
But the scientists persisted explaining how their tests on animals and humans were successful. How this new race of humans, called at the time Caro hominis worked. This race was not uninformed like humans. Each test subject turned into a different animal. With different needs. This allowed them to adapt to a habitat that best fits them. This way that area was supporting only those that can survive there and not be overwhelmed by a bunch of people. The 12 that were tested turned into two sets of different animals. Two Spitting Cobras, Two Persian Leopards, Two Wolves, Two Lunar Months, Two Rabbits, Two Bald Eagles. The leaders labeled these 12 as failures and demanded their deaths. This shocked the female Cobra as she and the others had suffered too much already to be labeled a failure. She and the others revolted in the leader’s choice but did it after they were taken back to the labs. It was there that they quickly overpowered their capturers and released the virus into the air and water that was developed to transform humans into Caro hominis.
It was then people began to change, the contaminated air and water helping to spread the virus and those that contracted changed and faced the rage of the world leaders and armies. But they did not run, the first 12 rallied them all around them and began to fight back. This caused World War Three, and the battle for top spot in the food chain.
The funny part in this story? The scientists that first created them had made the virus in such a way that it made the Caro hominis faster, stronger, smarter than their human counterparts. They were able to use their natural gifts to overpower the human’s weapons and win the war. Now there is a new super race, broken down by animal traits, but overall called Beastual.
Now it's 2044 and the human world is long gone, only a few buildings live from the years of neglect. What humans that didn’t get the virus live in nomadic tribes, their lives threatened by the beastuals that were predators. And for the most part, shunned by the prey Beastuals. The nature around them began to heal and grow back; the common animals are free to breed and grow with only the threat to their lives are the natural need to hunt and eaten by humans, beastuals and other animals alike.

[☽]You're character if it is a beastual can not have inhuman abilities. Whatever the animal normally has they have, however, they are increased slightly. This is where I ask you look into the animal before creating a beastual.
[☽]This is a somewhat literate role-play. Proper English grammar and spelling are a must. Occasional mistakes are inevitable, and you'll be forgiven, but everyone must be able to read and understand your posts.
[☽]Make it clear when you are addressing someone outside of the RP. Use parenthesis or something like that to separate your out-of-role-play talking from your actual role-playing.
[☽]Play fair. Do not kill another character without permission. Do not god-mod or power-play. Also, no Mary Sues/Gary Stus. Everyone has a weakness, and everyone has flaws. No character should be perfect.
[☽]Do not spend all your time focusing on romance and don't let passion or violence go beyond PG-13.
[☽] No using typical Cussing. I have a Beastual Language that is going to continually update as I create more words or get ideas from the members. The human characters I ask you to pick up the Beatual Language or block it out.
[☽]Absolutely no alcohol, s*x or drugs. No exceptions.
[☽]Take turns and be patient with people who post slower. Beginner RP'ers are welcome, so be nice to them.
[☽]Try your best to avoid super short posts (an example might be "She said hi back.") and super long posts. You want to be able to give the person role-playing with you something to respond to. On the other hand, extravagantly long posts are not necessary here. Creativity is encouraged, but repeated super long posts may slow the role-play down too much. The only noted exceptions are when introducing characters, as well as plots. In those instances, long posts are quite alright.
[☽]Third person style and past tense are the preferred methods of role-playing, but I'm sure you already knew that.
[☽]No fighting outside the role-play. I don't care what you do in private messaging - in or outside the RP.
[☽]No spamming or "bump" time skipping the thread.
[☽]You may include time skips if your character is somewhere between the groups. But if you are in a tribe or settlement setting ask.
[☽]I'm not going to require any special notice in your form showing that you have read everything, but if you don't then it will more than likely be obvious to me at some point. If it becomes a problem, you'll be called out on it.

This is where we start the story. Now that things have settled down the two groups are trying to find balance with each other. And not only that, the beastuals are pulled apart by their animal sides. They are not perfect; they react to threats or times of peace as their animal counterpart. However, while their instincts tell them to do one thing, the human in them helps them think before they act. A panther beastual will not hurt a rabbit unless they have too (Normally.).
Are you a Beastual, or are you an unlucky person? Are you a roaming beastual that hates the human race? Or do you travel to protect them? Are you a human that vows to strike down all Beastuals that cross your path? Do you fear them? Or do you live peacefully with the beastuals?
All these questions and more will be answered as you enter the new world.
(Disclaimer: Beastuals are about an 80-90% animal with human features. However, while most look more animal than human not all do. The virus that caused these changes affects people differently. So While some are more animal like than others, the same can be true that some are more human with few animal characteristics. Allow yourself the freedom to find the balance that works for you if you go the beastual way)
