sebastian & kalina fellrose monster, how should i feel? creatures lie here, looking through the window - - - - - - - - - - - - - Sebastian’s face remained set in a cool, emotionless mask as Loren gave his response, making it clear that he had no intention of ever giving Sebastian – for now. Of course, Sebastian had hoped his speech alone would be enough to convince him, but he wasn’t too fazed by Loren’s resistance; he was still confident that the other High Lord would change his mind soon enough, when he realized that he would be better off having Sebastian’s alliance against the other two Courts. Loren may have needed to put up an untouchable façade, but really, they both knew that no matter how much he claimed otherwise, the Night Court did depend on human blood, and if Isabel and Adrianna succeeded in demolishing the institution of slavery throughout all of Prythian, nightbloods would be severely weakened.
And of course, Sebastian did have another trick up his sleeve as well. Loren wanted this alliance to benefit him in more than one way, hmm? Alright, Loren, Sebastian mused darkly to himself, his lips quirking up into just the faintest hint of a pleased smile, that can be arranged.
Sebastian had been kind enough to protect his half-sister from other malicious High Fae for five years since he had ascended the throne – but now the time had come for her to pay back the debt she owed him for what Sebastian believed had been a considerable amount of generosity. And he was going to collect, whether she wanted to or not.
Though Loren had already turned his back, prepared to return to the party, Sebastian wasn’t about to let him have the final word in this. “As you wish, Loren, though I do hope you will reconsider.”
Sebastian crossed the room then, using magic to unlock the impenetrable room, before pushing it open and allowing Loren to walk past him, back out into the main palace. “If you don’t mind, however, there’s someone I’d like you to meet first who I think you may find to be… of interest to you.” Sebastian chose his words carefully, letting just the slightest bit of suggestiveness lace his tone. “It’ll only take a moment. Follow me?” Though it was a question, there was something in his voice that said Loren had really better not argue.
With that, Sebastian spun on his heels to head in the direction of the gardens, not bothering to check if Loren was following; he doubted that Loren would risk incurring his temper by refusing when it was such a small request. - - - - - - - - - - - - - "There you are," Sebastian purred as he sauntered up to Kalina, Raelyn, and Ravenna, his eyes gleaming brilliantly with curiosity as to how such an... interesting trio had formed.
He came to a halt between Kalina and Raelyn, the former startling a bit at her brother's sudden appearance. Though she had been terrified when he left her alone, his return pleased her even less, as it could only mean trouble for her. Sebastian offered his sister a wicked smile to confirm her fears, delighting in the way her face instantly paled. Then he turned to take in the other two High Fae, noting Ravenna looked stunning as usual in her silvery dress, though he gave her only the subtlest of nods before his attention turned to Raelyn. Just his luck that she somehow ended up talking to Kalina, as it saved him the trouble of finding Raelyn himself, the other faerie at the celebration with whom he was particularly eager to converse. He would make sure to ask Ravenna later about what had transpired between the three of them, but for the moment, he had more important matters to attend to. But he took his time in surveying Raelyn, the Twilight Court second-in-command - and, of course, twin sister to its High Lady. Every bit as dark and gorgeous as he remembered, if not more, in her scandalously cut gown that held the semblance of a midnight sky scattered with thousands of glittering stars. There was no need for him to fake the blatant lust etched on his angular features; Raelyn was absolutely delicious.
"Ah, Raelyn. The prettier Silverblood," he drawled, the compliment as much said for flattery to Raelyn as it was for insult to Adrianna. "What a pleasure it is to see you again." The smile he gave her dripped with pure charm and seduction. Though he may not have been the High Lord with a reputation as a heartbreaker, he could look the part effortlessly when the need arose.
Perhaps it was a bit unfortunate that he had to put on this display in front of Ravenna, even though they were no longer lovers. But he had ended things with her not long after he became High Lord for political reasons, since he didn't want to risk complicating things now that he needed her more than ever to be his loyal soldier. Not that either of them were exactly the romance types, but... while perhaps their relationship lacked anything that could be called love, it had held a little more intimacy than something purely physical, and any sort of attachment could prove dangerous.
And while Ravenna hadn't given him much of a reaction when he told her, that didn't necessarily mean much of anything. He wouldn't expect her to show any emotion even if she had it. Unfortunately, that meant he had no idea what she truly felt. For all he knew, she really didn't care; after all, she probably could have any other male she wanted. Maybe she really didn't miss sharing his bed at all. However, it was certainly also possible that she would not be pleased at the attention he was showing to Raelyn.
Oh, well. He couldn't dwell on that now.
But before he could pull Raelyn away, there was of course the matter of Loren to deal with first. He stepped to the side to allow Loren into the loose circle, turning back to the High Lord of Night and his half-sister. “Loren, this is the half-sister I mentioned.” There was a hint of a sneer in his tone that left no doubts about his feelings towards her.
“And Kalina,” he sang, emphasizing each syllable of her name, “this is Loren Blackthorn, High Lord of the Night Court.” - - - - - - - - - - - - - Kalina felt as if all the air had been knocked right out of her lungs. Raelyn Silverblood. The other faerie standing in front of her was none other than the Raelyn Silverblood. Kalina had heard mere stories and rumors about her; she was infamous amongst all the Courts for her wild, dark nature, for her stunning seductive beauty, and of course, because she was a Silverblood – equal in strength to the new High Lady of the Twilight Court, but one hundred times more dangerous. Kalina had heard that while Adrianna was kind and compassionate towards humans, Raelyn possessed the typical attitude of a High Fae: hatred and cruelty towards anyone lesser. And she must have been powerful indeed, if even Ravenna decided to bite whatever snarky reply she surely would have preferred to give in favor of something more… diplomatic.
But before Raelyn had the chance to act on the new information of Kalina’s mixed blood which Ravenna had so eagerly provided, she noticed out of the corner of her eye a familiar figure approaching them. Sebastian. Of course. Kalina gulped, her blood racing with anticipation; if he had decided to return so soon, she doubted it could be for anything good.
And he was not alone.
As the newcomer came to stand beside herself and Sebastian, she immediately decided he was the most beautiful man she had ever seen. Draped in shades of golden and bronze, radiating power and grace and sensuality, he looked like some sort of radiant god, and those eyes – deep, piercing amethyst depths that seemed to glow like shadowy stars. But though he should have shone as brightly as the sun, there was something dark about him that she couldn’t quite put her finger on; as if the night itself wrapped around his slender, muscular body, as if he were part of it.
But disdain and arrogance tainted the handsomeness of his chiseled features. Ah, yes. Kalina knew that expression all too well – the expression of someone who undoubtedly thought they were better than everyone else, who saw anyone less than pure High Fae as worthless, inferior. A shame, Kalina thought, that such beauty was wasted on the cruel High Fae.
Kalina tore her gaze away from the striking stranger and returned her attention to her brother, who stood with a lazy grin on his face, looking both Ravenna and Raelyn up and down in that arrogant manner of his before addressing the latter. She fought to keep a small, triumphant smirk off her face at how smoothly he flattered Raelyn right in front of Ravenna, his former flame. Not his brightest idea by far; Kalina was rather surprised at such a careless mistake when her brother was usually so calculating, thinking of every possibility and never leaving even the tiniest detail to chance. Was he really so oblivious as to believe that Ravenna wouldn’t be jealous? Oh, what she wouldn’t give to have Daemati powers right now – to know what Ravenna herself was thinking about his display.
Her amusement was short-lived, however, as Sebastian turned back to face her and the man who had followed him after he finished complimenting Raelyn. Every muscle in her body tensed, golden eyes flickering warily. She shuddered to think what he had been up to in the time after he had thrown her to the wolves, and she shuddered to think what he intended to do with her now. Apprehension danced icily over her skin merely from the glow in her brother’s eyes as he looked down at her; something utterly wicked shone in those bright golden depths.
Apprehension morphed into cold, paralyzing fear in an instant. Kalina’s heart stopped, the world seeming to tilt around her as Sebastian’s words sunk in. Loren Blackthorn, High Lord of the Night Court.
The stories of him swirled through her head all at once, the little information that she had about him. Seductive, vicious, unimaginably powerful. She had never met a nightblood in person before, and yet now the very leader of their cursed, bloodthirsty kind stood before her in all his dark glory. And worse, the new High Lord of Night was Daemati – and likely even stronger than Ravenna, whose strength was already horrible beyond her full comprehension. Kalina could hardly keep herself from trembling in terror, and for once she couldn’t keep the panic from showing on her face as her eyes widened and her lips parted in shock.
Finally, drawing in a deep breath in an attempt to calm herself, Kalina composed herself enough to manage a greeting. She gulped, trying to swallow the last visible remnant of her anxiety, before murmuring a bit shakily, “It’s a pleasure to meet you, my Lord.” She somehow kept her gaze from faltering, meeting his brilliant jewel-toned eyes with her own as she curtsied politely, bowing her head to him in acknowledgement of his status even as her fragile body still trembled faintly.
But inwardly, a tempest of emotions and thoughts continued to rage fiercely. Why had Sebastian chosen to introduce her to the High Lord of Night? What purpose could this possibly serve? Though a sharp, twisting ache in her gut told her that perhaps… perhaps the mysterious reason he had for bringing her to the celebration tonight had something to do with the alluring, terrifying nightblood. Only she still couldn’t begin to guess what Sebastian had planned - and that uncertainty was even more frightening than Loren himself. - - - - - - - - - - - - - Oh, the look on her face - it was even more delicious than Raelyn Silverblood. Sebastian could think of nothing he loved more than seeing Kalina, who was usually quite adept at concealing her emotions, especially fear, unable to keep herself composed from complete and utter terror.
Although, he imagined that she would look even better when she found out exactly what he had planned for her. Assuming Loren took the bait. But considering how well he knew Loren, the infamous heartbreaker, the odds seemed high that things would work out in his favor. He doubted the stunning High Lord had met many females who not only didn’t throw themselves desperately at him, but wanted absolutely nothing to do with him. In fact, Sebastian would have bet good money that it was something that Loren had never experienced. Which meant that if Loren showed even a hint of pursuing her tonight, and Kalina responded in her usual cold, disinterested manner towards High Fae, it was likely Loren would suddenly desire her so much more.
And, of course, as much as Sebastian loathed to admit it, Kalina was quite pretty. Barring the fact she was his half-sister, she wasn’t his type; he personally preferred the confident, seductive beauty of someone like Raelyn or Ravenna. But the fragile halfblood had vulnerability and innocence in spades with those wide doe eyes, traits that he supposed others might find quite alluring. (On that note, had Kalina ever even…? Certainly she had never had a serious romance; Sebastian was sure he would’ve been able to recall if she had, because he would have killed any unfortunate soul stupid enough to fall in love with her. After all, Sebastian would never pass up such a wonderful opportunity to bring Kalina misery and suffering. Now that he thought about it, maybe that was the very reason why she had never gotten close to anyone; she was smart enough to know that anyone she loved would only become fodder for Sebastian’s sick amusement.)
Poor little Kalina – already terrified, and she didn’t even know just how much reason she had to be very, very afraid.

ravenna lestrange member of sebsatian fellrose's inner circle - - ☆ - - Ravenna could sense Sebastian moving through the crowd of High Fae moments before he reached their small semi-circle. She recognized his footsteps, the distinct sound of her High Lord slinking nearer almost soundlessly; had she not spent so much time with him in the past, she probably wouldn’t have been able to distinguish his tread from that of another fae, but she knew him better than most. So it was no surprise when Sebastian stopped before them — though her heart (who knew she had one) tinged with the faintest spark of envy as he stood beside Raelyn — and then, in an instant, she knew precisely what to expect from him.
Unfortunately for Ravenna, the shields surrounding her heart were not nearly as impenetrable as those around her precious mind.
Her once-amused, teal eyes now seemed to morph into something icier and colder, her gaze now hard and unyielding. She, above all others, knew the importance of keeping up appearances; any unwanted flicker of emotion that had the ability to be detected by these powerful High Fae could be interpreted as a sign of weakness…and Ravenna Lestrange absolutely refused to be labeled as such. Her façade of emotionlessness was intricately-crafted; however, a small glimmer of a smirk played upon her full lips, so insignificant it would likely go undetected by everyone but Sebastian, and that was her intention. She wanted him to think that she didn’t care what he did with Raelyn — even if that were oh so far from the truth — and that, maybe, she even encouraged it. Anything for more power, right? That had been their mantra for years, and now, everything seemed to be falling into place for him. It didn’t matter that she would not be the one beside him, or the one sharing his bed. What Sebastian was doing was for the good of the Dawn Court, for the good of all of Prythian.
This was the veneer she crafted, what she allowed everyone to see on the outside. And those very thoughts, the ones showing pride for Sebastian, played just within the shields of her mind. Just beyond the normally-indestructible wall. Perhaps, if Loren took enough interest to see just what she was thinking — and she doubted that he would, but she always felt she needed to take precautionary measures — this was what he would see on the surface, and perhaps it would be enough to keep him from venturing deeper into the depths of her mind.
Beneath this semblance of impassiveness, however, lay another beast entirely.
It began with something seemingly-small, and perhaps insignificant. Simply a look shared between Sebastian and Raelyn. Nothing more, nothing less. But with that, with Sebastian’s lust-filled gaze raking over someone else directly in front of her, it was enough to begin to loosen the leash upon the Daemati’s perfectly-controlled and contained wrath. Pure, unadulterated rage began to bubble and froth within Ravenna. It was not near the surface, not even close enough to even be sensed by the most adept Shadowsinger. But there was no denying its presence.
And it was not as if Ravenna did not comprehend why Sebastian was doing this. Certainly, without a shadow of a doubt, she knew the reasons behind it. She understood that an alliance between he and Raelyn — and, of course, her supporters at the Twilight Court — was nothing short of essential. But the fact that he chose this moment to conduct his plan, instead of pulling Raelyn to the side or doing something less…blatantly disrespectful, began to induce her fury.
It was humiliating, really, watching arguably the most powerful High Lord to ever live, the one male who had managed to hold her attention for such a long period of time, completely brush over her as if she were not standing a mere four feet away. She had to actually fight the heated, rosy flush that threatened to present itself in her cheeks, a sure-fire symbol of her embarrassment. But more than that, it would give away the fact that she still cared for Sebastian, and sought his approval. And that he could hurt her if he actually tried to do so.
Yes, Ravenna Lestrange had a weakness that was, indeed, exploitable.
And his name was Sebastian Fellrose.
Her glacial stare flicked back to the High Lord of Dawn, and she met those familiar, brilliantly-golden eyes of his with a newly-found tenacity. If even one of his goals was to see her falter, he would be sorely disappointed. She refused to give him, or anyone else, for that matter, the satisfaction of watching her squirm. She was strong. She was powerful. And she was not to be underestimated.
But then…her attention shifted. As her own High Lord mentioned Loren to Kalina, of all people, a flicker of curiosity flashed through her breathtaking, blue eyes. What could Sebastian possibly be planning with her? With the two of them? Loren Blackthorn was the leader of the ever-puissant Nightbloods, and Kalina was but a half-human abomination.
And suddenly, Ravenna found herself, once again, intrigued by Sebastian’s dark, dangerous mind — any lingering resentment over Raelyn Silverblood taking a back seat for the time being.
Her lips curled into a sadistic, sardonic grin as she registered the complete and utter terror upon poor, sweet Kalina’s little face. The ghastly pallor which had now completely overtaken her golden complexion fervently fed Ravenna’s glee. Actively, the Daemati fought the temptation to slip into the halfblood’s mind to truly see what it was that she thought of her current situation. But she could not risk that, not now. Not with those who currently accompanied her.
Who would have thought that this celebration would take this many twists and turns? It was enough to keep Ravenna interested, to keep her on her toes. And she could only watch with growing excitement and anticipation as she wondered what could conceivably occur next.
While in the company of Sebastian, she knew anything was possible.

livia winters i don't want your money i don't want your crown see i've come to burn your kingdom down - - - - - - - - - - - - - Livia’s gaze remained steely cold as Tobias approached her again, though she had to fight to keep a hint of an amused grin off her face. Silly Tobias. He just didn’t know when to give up, did he? He stopped in front of her just a bit too close, though it allowed her to take in every minute detail of his appearance, of the soft glimmer in his stunning, crystalline-blue irises. She noted that he looked even more handsome with his mouth pulled into a broad smirk, dimples adding an adorable boyish touch to his face.
The dismissive, almost bored words that he spoke next caused an absolutely feline smile to cross her lips. Perhaps there was something rather attractive about the male’s unwavering confidence in his own irresistibility – but she wasn’t about to give him the satisfaction of knowing that. Tilting her head slightly, she regarded him with a sort of deadly curiosity, as if he were prey that she intended to toy with before the kill; all feral beauty with her ruby red lips and shining white teeth. Tobias may have been adept at playing her games, but she was still the reigning master - and she could see right through his feigned disinterest. But she decided not to comment on it directly, for that would ruin the fun of it all.
“Of course you wouldn’t. Who else at this party could possibly be more entertaining than I am?” she scoffed, before flicking her gaze back in the direction of Isabel and Adrianna, who now moved swiftly through the ranks to escape into the maze of hedges for a bit of privacy. A useless effort, of course; they were in Dawn Court territory. Her territory. Sebastian had good reason for keeping her around as his prized Shadowsinger; she was excellent at what she did, and the High Ladies had no hope of concealing their conversation, especially when she held the home-game advantage.
Icy turquoise hues shifted from mischief into business in an instant. They had to move now, or else they might risk missing an important bit of information. Of course, thanks to Livia’s enhanced senses, they didn’t actually have to be that close in order to listen in, but their present position was still too far. “Alright, Tobias,” she murmured, setting her glass down on one of the lavish tables surrounding the event, “show me what Loren’s best spy can do.” There was a hint of a taunt, of a challenge in her voice, as she pushed past the nightblood and into the crowd of faeries, not bothering to check to see if he was following her.
Livia weaved her way quickly to the other side of the main circle, where the hedges spiraled off into a complex labyrinth – a labyrinth which she could have navigated effortlessly in her sleep. She turned a corner until they were just out of view of the rest of the party before she halted, spinning lightly around on her heels to face Tobias. “I can hear them from here,” she informed him, as she found that if she cast her senses out she could just make out the soft, feminine voices of Isabel and Adrianna. “All I need you to do is glamour us so that no one disturbs me. Should be simple enough, even for you.” Her tone implied that she would also not tolerate any disturbance from Tobias himself; though she secretly hoped he might attempt to do just that anyway.
The breathtaking Shadowsinger lifted a slender hand to twirl one of the free, honey-golden strands of hair that framed her lovely face in a somewhat mocking gesture, her eyes narrowed as she waited to see if Tobias lived up to his title as Loren Blackthorn’s courtier.

raelyn silverbloodtrue evil is, above all things, seductive. « - - - //
Raelyn lazily tilted her head to the side, her stunning blue eyes focusing upon Ravenna. The smokey haired girl gave a rather quick and taut laugh as her eyes moved away from the Daemati to where the halfblood female stood. "She is obviously not a full mortal being," her irises lingering upon the gold irises of the fragile looking girl, "for she bores the eyes of the Fellrose bloodline, does she not?" Her eyebrow was arched, but there was no real question lingering in her silvery voice. Raelyn knew that the Dawn Court harbored secrets, may not be as many of Night Court but they still kept them. This was the one rumor that had floated around about the late High Lord of the Dawn Court, which had been quickly shut down, the former lord saying there was no one else in the family besides that of his son, who now held the title of High Lord.
Raelyn's attention was fully brought back to Kalina as she spoke freely, but reserved at first. She noticed the hesitation in the halfblood's voice as she added her last name -- which seemed rather redundant. Her eyes were a dead give away, it would be like if another faerie shared the strange but striking amethyst eyes of the Night High Lord, each bloodline had some tall tale to tell who was of the royal blood. She gave a harsh chuckle, "no, of course we have not met. I'm Raelyn Silverblood." She turned her head back towards Ravenna, who was staring at her with utter disgust. The Silverblood twin may not have been a daemati but Ravenna was clearly judging her for even talking to the human halfblood so freely. The blue eyed beauty certainly did not care for humans, or halfbloods who shared their mortal blood, but the piquing interest kept Raelyn's sharp and nasty comments as bay. Unlike Ravenna, Raelyn was raised as a potential heir to the Twilight throne and therefore, when it came to keeping her tongue where it belonged, she knew how to do so -- she couldn't say the same for the lover of Sebastian.
She brushed back a bit of hair that fell out of her silver headband, before her attention was drawn back to Ravenna, "its always a pleasure to be around you." Under other circumstances, the two could have been friends, closer than sisters probably -- between their shared personality and their attitudes of a temptress ...but that was not the case. It was almost blatantly obvious that Ravenna put her lust first, which could potentially be the downfall of the beautiful High Fae.
Just as she was going to speak to the Fellrose illegitimate daughter, her eyes were pulled to pay attention to two males walking towards the trio of girls. Their presence was enough for anyone to notice who they were, but that hardly fazed Raelyn -- after all, she was almost a High Lady herself, if you didn't consider her one anyways.
loren blackthorni'm the demon from your nightmares. « - - - // It was only a matter of time before the gorgeous Night Lord was walking back into the courtyard, his brilliant colored eyes scanning the crowd of faeries. He saw members of his court, conversing with the other faeries but of course, there was slight hesitation in the way his own members moved. There was no trust lying within the bodies of these High Fae. Each of the courts held their own secrets and with all the High Fae being within the borders of Sebastian’s, there was going to be reservation with every movement.
Loren, the oldest of all the High Lords and Ladies, followed Sebastian — his movements resembling those of a feline, lazy in some aspects but aware in others. He wore a boring expression upon his face, as he was better than the ones around him. Was he full of himself? Not particularly, but this golden fae was certainly confident in all that he did. There was not a move that he did not approve of, he was the hardest kind of book to read. The words were always changing, the pages tearing apart themselves, the covers depicting a lie while the truth was hidden within the spine. There was not a single thing about the Night Lord that was so easily figured out. He was just as a mystery as his borders were and he liked to keep it that way.
It only took a moment to figure out where Sebastian was leading him. Three females stood in a semi-circle, their backs were facing them for the time being; however, that did not stop the High Lord from figuring out who was who. He noticed the silver dressed female first; a fellow Daemati, though of course, one of lesser strength than the Night Lord himself. Now, her teal colored eyes were placed upon her own High Lord, something swirling in her eyes but suddenly it disappeared as she realized that her shields were falling in that moment. Her hair was braided upon her head, gracing her with a regal look … quite deceiving all in itself. This High Fae was certainly not of regal stances, she was the bed companion of the High Lord of the Dawn Court and many courts had heard of the rumor. She was none other than Ravenna Lestrange. She may have been a powerful partner for the Dawn Lord but she still was not at the strength of many around her. ”Ravenna, you look beautiful,” a compliment but not one of flattery, more of one as a welcoming.
Speaking of which, his gorgeous eyes flickered over to where Raelyn Silverblood stood. Her body was wrapped in a scandalous night sky, her body hugged with the darkness and sparkles lined just the right spots. He rose an eyebrow but kept silent as he watched the High Fae, the twin sister of Adrianna Silverblood, who unfortunately was the leading High Lady of Twilight Court. It had been an unfair race, at least in Loren’s opinion, but that was beside the point. His silence ended with a quick greeting and a nod in her direction, after all she was almost equal in title and ranking. His charming voice sounded again, a quick greeting, ”Raelyn.” As Sebastian spoke such flattery in the direction of the smokey hair huntress, the Night Lord’s amethyst eyes moved over to the third female, and she was certainly one he had not seen before.
Her hair was falling in soft, chocolate brown curls and they fell around a innocent looking face. Wide doe eyes stared at the two High Lords, her bright gold eyes were the first clue of who she was. The shade of her eyes were known other than the characteristic trait of the Fellrose bloodline, which piqued the interest of Loren Blackthorn more than it should. How could she have remained hidden for … so many years? It was certainly hard to keep that big of a secret between the four courts — spies were embedded in all courts, whether the high lords or ladies want them to be, it was just a matter of who graced the inner circle of each court. Luckily for Loren, he kept his inner circle rather tight and ddid not let many even close to him when he strolled through his borders.
Just then, Sebastian gave a little insight into who this female may have been and how they were related. Half-sister, huh? Loren purred as his darkening eyes glanced up and down the body of the faerie in front of him. Now that was certainly a secret, one that he had not seen coming but at the same time, nothing that Sebastian said really surprised him all that much anymore. This, however, truly piqued the Night Lord’s interest. His eyes paused upon the face of the creature in front him.
A wicked smirk pulled across his plush pink lips as he watched the expression shift over Kalina’s face — she was an open book. Her eyes were as wide, terror was swirling in her liquid gold eyes and just as he was introduced as the High Lord of the Night Court, panic flashed over her face. His lips pulled apart a little wider, his canines barely visible but just enough that it added to the allure of the Lord of Nightbloods.
”Pleasure is all mine, Kalina,” Loren spoke confidently, where she was shaking like a leaf. His voice was nothing short of a purr, his actions were cat-like — whether it be the slanting of his eyes, the laziness of his movements, or the tone of his silky voice. Taking a quick glance over at her half-brother, Loren arched an eyebrow. before letting that husky voice of his be heard once again. ”Where have you been hiding this one?” Although, he knew there would be no answer to his silvery question.
Are you scared of me? Loren spoke silently, his extending claw scraped at the delicate mind of the human halfblood. His voice was light, feathery even but it was dripping with darkness, the Night Lord let out a light chuckle within her head. He gave a cunning smile in the direction of the other High Fae, and the halfblood; his canines piercing his lips ever-so-slightly, before disappearing. His taut was over, the boredom was starting to creep back into his stature.
His amethyst eyes left the gold ones of Kalina, however, his claw still played with her mind — uncomfortable for her, but not nearly as tortuous as it could have been. The party was in full swing and he could see the familiar eyes of some of his members but he scanned right over them. Drawing his attention back to the group, he tilted his head, getting rather tired of allowing others their turn.
A change in the music tempo caused the attention of the Night Lord to pivot. His stunning eyes turned towards the dance floor, where High Fae moved their bodies in elegant but dangerous ways. Loren looked over at Sebastian before turning back to the three females in front of him. He paid attention to the halfblood, surprisingly, "care to dance?" His lips were pulled into a devastating smile, one that showed none of his true intentions, just the trained smile of a handsome High Lord. If she was terrified of him, and as she should be, why not enjoy a little of it before Sebastian took his playtoy away from him.
raelyn silverbloodtrue evil is, above all things, seductive. « - - - //
The gorgeous Twilight High Fae rolled her eyes as Sebastian's attention had turned to her, and her just so happened to make her his first official greeting between the trio. "Flattery will get you nowhere with me, Sebastian," she purred sweetly, "but its a valiant effort on your behalf." She spoke evenly, her voice silvery and velvety as she stared back at the golden irised male. The Dawn High Lord was a handsome fellow but his words would get him nowhere when it came to Raelyn, his tricks would not work on her -- she knew better, better than most. Her eyes shifted over to Ravenna, and as it was truly obvious that the girl would be bristling if she could. The disrespect that Sebastian had just displayed, which probably meant nothing to him, had caused the regal looking female to grow angry. They were lovers, so his compliment - fake or not - probably annoyed the hell out of the girl standing next to her.
Raelyn gave a quick glance at Loren, who had greeted her with the subtleness of her name; she didn't reply, however. She slightly bent her head towards the High Lord of the Night Court, her plush, pink lips were parted ever-so-slightly. Her bright blue eyes moved over to where Kalina was standing and a smirk had graced those lips of Raelyn as she saw the obvious panic cross over the halfblood's face. The reputation of the Night Lord was not a joking matter and even though this half mortal girl had been locked away, the rumors must had reached her hidden cell. The rumors were hardly rumors, everything about Loren was terrifying -- after all, he was the High Lord of the most secretive Court, as well as a blood-lusting predator.
As she watched the quick introductions, she looked at Ravenna with a dark smile before rolling her gorgeous, azure colored eyes playfully, "you guys have fun here, its time for me to move on." Her tone as light as a feather, dismissing her own self before boredom struck her. Spinning on her high heels, her hair fluttering behind her and her dress spinning at her ankles. She looked as dark as a fallen angel and moved with the grace of a goddess. Raelyn could care less of the plans that were being brewed between Loren Blackthorn and Sebastian Fellrose, and however Kalina Fellrose fit in was none of Raelyn's concern. The smokey haired girl may have know everything that went on in the courts, but if it did not benefit her in some way, she really could care less.

sebastian fellrose no light no light in your bright blue eyes i never knew daylight could be so violent - - - - - - - - - - - - - A sick sort of curiosity shone on Sebastian’s face as he watched Loren’s stunning features shift from dull boredom to cat-like amusement. Though the question he asked didn’t quite seem intended for an answer, Sebastian decided to respond to it anyway. “Varian kept his precious little daughter all locked up. A shame, if you ask me… she is delicious, isn’t she?” he drawled, emphasizing the word that, in Loren’s case, certainly held more than one meaning – and he hoped the other High Lord would not miss the double entendre.
However, Sebastian could not preoccupy himself with Loren and Kalina for too long, as Raelyn dismissed herself as soon as they finished the necessary polite exchanges. A small frown curled his lips; now that would simply not do. He needed to talk to the beautiful silvery seductress, and her running off on him was most inconvenient. Golden optics flicked back to where Loren appeared to be content amusing himself with Kalina. “Excuse me, Loren, but I’m afraid I have some other business to attend to. But I’m sure my lovely sister will be happy to keep you entertained in any way you desire,” he purred.
Although he was speaking to Loren, it was Kalina to whom he fixed his golden gaze as the last words fell from his lips with a sinister smirk. But he narrowed his eyes in a sharp warning, conveying a silent command which she was all too familiar with now: Do not disobey me. Kalina swallowed nervously, and he took that as a sign that she understood. He failed to realize that Loren had decided to slip past the halfblood fragile mental shields to toy with her, but really, what did he care? As far as he was concerned, Loren could do just about anything he liked with her – short of killing her, of course. But he doubted Loren was self-destructive enough to do something that would risk bringing down Sebastian’s wrath. Especially now that he knew about the Cauldron.
Sebastian almost wanted to pat himself on the back for how brilliantly he had orchestrated the entire plan. Everything seemed to be falling into place perfectly, if the devilish fascination lighting Loren’s amethyst orbs as he beheld Kalina was any indication. Unfortunately, that would have to wait until later; there was still plenty more left to do before the party’s end.
Just before the High Lord of Dawn could turn to chase after Raelyn, there was the matter of Ravenna to deal with. He stepped towards her, closing much of the distance between them so he could speak in a low voice that would hopefully not be perceived by the rest of the guests over all the other chatter. “Don’t worry, you won’t be in the dark too much longer, Rav.” He murmured her pet name in a soft, almost sweet tone, as if in attempt to soothe over whatever frustration she might have been feeling for not knowing most of his plans at the moment. Any other frustration she might have felt, well… Sebastian wasn’t exactly the type to apologize for much, and he certainly wasn’t about to start. “Find me after the celebration and I’ll tell you everything – all of you.” She would know what he meant by ‘all of you’ – Ravenna, Livia, and Rafe – so there was no need to elaborate beyond that.
He paused just a moment, tilting his head slightly to observe his former flame, a hint of fondness glittering in his gaze. Reaching up a slender hand, he brushed his thumb ever-so-softly along one of her cheekbones in a touch that was almost too intimate, reminiscent of a time when he was still just a prince. Still hers. “But in the meantime, why don’t you enjoy yourself?”
There was just a hint of a taunt in his low, husky voice – as if he knew that she wouldn’t truly be able to enjoy herself unless it was with him.
With that, Sebastian turned fluidly, gracefully, prowling off in search of Raelyn like a wolf stalking its prey. Perhaps toying with Ravenna when he was planning to pursue Raelyn wasn’t his best idea, but Sebastian couldn’t help himself; she always made it so easy for him, and he adored the feeling of power, of being in complete control, whenever possible.
Raelyn Silverblood, however… she was already proving herself to be not nearly as easy to charm. No matter – Sebastian was always up for a challenge.
The Twilight second-in-command hadn’t gone too far before Sebastian found her again. After all, she was rather difficult to miss – an unmistakable aura of confidence and seduction seemed to surround her wherever she went, not to mention that her strange, silvery-black locks stood out amongst the crowds.
“Leaving so soon?” Sebastian asked, stepping smoothly in front of Raelyn to keep her from escaping any further. He stood just a bit too close to her – close enough to see every stunning detail of her midnight-sky dress, close enough to appreciate just how it hugged every lithe curve on her exquisite figure. “You have my sincerest apologies for not giving you my undivided attention before, Raelyn.” He spoke her name in a sensual caress, a winning smile on his handsome, angular features. “But if you’ll allow me just a bit of your time, I promise I’ll make it up to you.”
Although Sebastian had turned every bit of his personality to charisma and temptation, a current of urgency ran beneath his charm – something he hoped Raelyn would pick up on to understand that he had more than just flattery and a pretty face to offer her. Hopefully, this hint of seriousness would suffice to peek the temptress’s attention long enough for him to get the information he needed out of her. But persuading her to ally herself with him, well, he assumed that might take a good deal more effort.
Fortunately, it was still several hours before dawn would cast its soft gold rays of light over the celebration to signal its end. If Raelyn intended to be difficult, Sebastian was more than prepared to do whatever was necessary to convince her to join his side. kalina fellrose help i'm alive my heart keeps beating like a hammer hard to be soft tough to be tender come take my pulse the pace is on a runaway train - - - - - - - - - - - - - Kalina shivered faintly as Loren eased his way into her mind, scraping lightly at her delicate mental barriers. She heard his rich, velvety voice echo in her thoughts almost as loudly as if it were her own. Are you scared of me?
Fire and ice danced over every inch of Kalina’s smooth olive skin, a result from the mix of attraction and terror she felt looking at Loren, the devastatingly handsome Lord of Night. Everything about him seemed feline, and Kalina was starting to feel more and more like prey. Never before had another wicked smile inspired so much fear in her as Sebastian’s did. But as the pale light of the crystals flickered off Loren’s brilliant white teeth, gleaming ominously on the tips of sharp canines that just peeked out from beneath his lips, suddenly she wasn’t sure who she was more afraid of.
Yes, she thought, but didn’t dare answer him aloud. Her gaze turned to glittering gold ice as she stared at the handsome nightblood, trying desperately to keep herself from trembling as his claws stayed in her mind, not invading her thoughts entirely, but just enough to make her feel a vague sense of discomfort. Hatred bubbled up inside her at the lazy, arrogant manner which Loren was playing with her, as if she were some playtoy instead of a living, breathing person.
She didn’t know whether to be relieved when Sebastian decided that he had better things to do, making his exit almost as abruptly as he had come – leaving her alone with Loren and Ravenna. Two Daemati that could have crushed her as easily as lifting a finger. Kalina could only pray that Loren’s interest would be caught up by some other pretty girl at the party soon enough, that he would find someone more amusing to toy with than some halfblood. If he didn’t…
In any way you desire. Sebastian’s order reverberated hauntingly, a constant loop chiming in her deeper thoughts.
Nightblood. Daemati. High Lord.
She shuddered to think what he might possibly want from her.
Loren’s silken voice pulled her back into reality, a dangerous question falling from his mouth – one that she had to oblige, of course, or risk the worst of Sebastian’s temper. But that didn’t mean she had to be nice to him, right? Maybe if she made it clear that she had no intention of playing along with the infamous, seductive heartbreaker, he would get bored of her. So she kept her plush, rosy lips set in a cold mask as she answered with a simple, “Whatever you wish.”
She held out a delicate hand, expecting him to take it and lead her to the dance floor. But suddenly, a flash of red-hot anger exploded in her, tempting her into resisting, into refusing to act like some submissive, docile doll that he could do whatever he pleased with, and she snapped, “But get out of my head. You Daemati are getting on my nerves.”
Almost instantly, she regretted the sharp words. Way to go, Kalina, piss off one of the most powerful High Lords ever, what a brilliant idea. But it was too late now to take them back – she only hoped that Loren wouldn’t shatter her mind right then and there.

raelyn silverbloodtrue evil is, above all things, seductive. « - - - //
Raelyn felt her lips come to a full purse as she was stopped by the devilish High Lord of the Dawn Court; her eyes blazing with annoyance, glazing up and down his well dressed body. He wore a fitted cut suit, one that hinged the right muscles of his body, and his pants hung provocatively from his hips. Her crystallize blue eyes went slowly back up to his face, focusing on those infamous gold irises. He could not intimidate her, even if he tried; he may have held the title of High Lord of Dawn Court, but she held the same amount of strength as second in command, just without the title. She knew he was one of the strongest High Lords, along with Loren Blackthorn, but even that did not falter her confidence, in the least bit.
Her radiant eyes were piercing those of his golden one, and an arched brow slowly raised as he spoke about his undivided attention. She let out a light and velvety laugh, one that was pure mockery towards the Dawn Lord. "Oh, Sebastian, I do not care to even have your attention, let alone your undivided attention." A gorgeous smile pulled at her dark maroon, plush lips as she kept eye contact with the handsome High Lord.
The Twilight High Fae flipped a smokey lock over her basically bare shoulder and let her delicate tongue sweep over her top teeth in a clicking sound, "and why should I grant you any amount of my time? I am guessing that the High Lord of the Dawn Court has much better things to do with his time than harass little old me." Although, she was hardly a little faerie, considering her rank and powers.
However, Raelyn suspected that he had more ideas up his sleeves and knowing that he was not going to leave her alone until he got what he wanted, she rolled her eyes playfully. "How about we dance?" Her eyes swept over the High Lord before they moved towards the dance floor. A burning, icy fire grew in her irises, however, she did not wait for the answer of the High Lord.
Swaying her hips and moving with such confidence, she moved around Sebastian with ease. Her eyes set for the dance floor and as she reached the border of the tiled floor, many of the already dancing faerie parted out of her way. Some of their eyes gracing her body, while others were widened with fear. She may not hold the title of High Lady of the Twilight Court but she radiated power. Her eyes were always blazing with icy assurance, and her face was always radiating with a dominating look, as if she could conquer anything that was thrown at her and in reality, she probably could.
Her body was already swaying beautifully to the melody of the music as she wandered onto the dancefloor, and she cared little if Sebastian followed. She would not be alone for long, for someone would come along if the High Lord, himself, did not.

loren blackthorni'm the demon from your nightmares. « - - - // Loren arched a golden eyebrow as he peered down at the feisty, golden eyed faerie. She not only snapback a comment of doing whatever he wish, but she decided to add yet another comment -- one that was probably best left unsaid. He glanced over at Ravenna, and smirked towards the regal looking faerie, whom still wore a look of disgust; a look of disgust directed at the obvious ... the scene in front of her, the Night High Lord and a illegitimate child of the late Dawn High Lord. Although, his face stayed unfazed, his mind was having some fun. He easily tore through Ravenna's shields before his silken chuckle echoed through the darkness, "torturing the girl already?" However, his shields were unbreakable and there would be no way that a High Fae, even one as sneaky as Ravenna, could get through his mental barriers. Loren was one of the strongest High Lords to have ever lived, along side of Sebastian Fellrose, but the two High Lords truly differed from one another like the Sun and the Moon. They were both powerful, but their powers were nowhere close to each other, the magic that they both had where their own affinity.
He shifted his gaze over to Ravenna and a wolfish grin came over his plush lips. Then the High Lord moved his eyes back towards Kalina Fellrose, the one who decided it was time to speak so sharply towards the High Lord, especially this nightblood, this Daemati. He let out a harsh sounding chuckle, one that matched the amethyst fire glowing upon his irises. His grin was now disappearing as he spoke, "and you would be wise enough to keep your comments to yourself." He was about to pivot on his heels to head to the dance floor when he heard the inner voice of Kalina, one that was clearly scolding herself -- at the same time as his words were being spoken. It was a brilliant idea. The gorgeous nightblood wore a devilish smirk upon his lips as he peered back at the smaller female faerie. Her golden eyes were still narrowed with anger, her snapping attitude had already begun to dig her a hole.
"Follow me." He spoke, silently, his voice was smooth as silk. He made no attempt to leave her mind for the time being, it was almost fun to get under her skin. She made it enjoyable, her anger flaring up against his prying claw but she was no spot to shield herself from the dominant High Lord. If Ravenna, who was a trained Daemati, couldn't defend herself from the handsome nightblood, there was no chance for a human halfblood.
However, his amethyst eyes glanced down at her delicate looking hand and the gorgeous male decided to ignore her extended offer. If she wanted to behave like a child, he would not indulge in her actions.
He glanced over his shoulder as he stood in place, waiting for the fragile half-mortal to follow him to the dance floor, and there was something telling him that she would not refuse his offer. Loren had no missed the casual words that Sebastian had used, or even the pointed look he had given his half sister -- they were all signs of orders, orders that she would be stupid to disobey. Loren truly cared little for what this girl thought of him, and yes, she was the first that did not swoon at his feet but it seemed to be more of fear and anger than anything else. One day, one day she might very well melt beneath his touch and the dance floor gave him an opportunity to see how this feisty little halfblood would act.
Tonight was all about having fun and that was exactly what this dark Lord was going to have; now, it was all a matter of time to decide on what kind of fun he would have.

kalina fellrose help i'm alive my heart keeps beating like a hammer hard to be soft tough to be tender come take my pulse the pace is on a runaway train - - - - - - - - - - - - - To Kalina’s surprise, Loren made no move to lash out at her for her fiesty comment. He continued to wear that infuriating yet devilishly handsome smirk on his face as he spoke firmly, a cold sense of authority lacing his tone. And, of course, he made absolutely no move to leave her mind, his presence continuing to linger in her thoughts like a dark mist. His voice, smooth as silk, echoed a silent command in her mind as he ignored her offered hand and instead made his own way to the dance floor.
Kalina narrowed her eyes, golden irises flickering with fiery hatred for the High Lord of Night. Fine. If he insisted on invading her mind, then what was the point of pretending to be polite and subservient? Sebastian had ordered her to entertain Loren in any way he desired, to play the part of a pretty doll – but even he could not expect her to be happy about it. So was it really her fault, then, if Loren wanted to make it impossible for her to conceal her real feelings?
The lovely halfblood followed Loren reluctantly until he stopped, seeming satisfied with his place amongst the other swaying faeries. Unfortunately, since he had refused her hand, this now put her in a rather uncomfortable position. He had asked her to dance, but now – what was she supposed to do? Initiate contact? Kalina would sooner let Sebastian break every bone in her body than take another step closer to the dangerous, stunning nightblood willingly. Whatever attraction that she felt upon first laying eyes on Loren was now entirely overshadowed by complete and utter loathing.
So Kalina remained where she was, a few feet away from Loren, meeting his amethyst gaze coldly. “I see no reason to keep my comments to myself when you can read my mind anyway,” she remarked.
A cool breeze brushed past her, an icy caress that sent shivers down her spine. Kalina’s eyes flickered up to the night sky, still pitch black as ever. There were still hours left before dawn – hours that now seemed to stretch endlessly before her when she was being forced to spend time with such miserable company. Sighing softly, her gaze flicked back down to Loren’s. “So? Are we going to dance, or what?” She was hoping to get this over with as soon as possible, praying that a short dance would satisfy the High Lord and make him realize that he could easily find someone much more agreeable to bother.

william serafin noble of the night court - - ✧ - -
Will’s expression refused to lighten as Rho spoke, but not a single hint of annoyance filtered into his pine-green gaze, either. No, rather, his stare remained rather stern. Blank, even. There simply wasn’t a whole lot he wished to say to the Day Court courtier, and frankly, he would rather have been left alone to observe the party by himself. But alas, the stars didn’t seem to be aligning themselves in his favor tonight. So there he was, sipping from a glass of wine, tolerating company he would have rather simply ignored.
He chose to ignore Rho’s first statement, instead allowing his gaze to sweep over the crowd once more, and he managed to, again, pinpoint Isabel and Adrianna as they now crept into the entanglement of hedges that surrounded the opulent palace of the Dawn Court’s High Lord. The corners of his lips curled into the faintest of smiles as he noticed Tobias and Livia hot on their trail. Loren — and, presumably, Sebastian — would be pleased with any information they gathered. And with the combination of Tobias’ glamouring abilities and Livia’s talents as a Shadowsinger, perhaps their efforts would not be in vain.
Emerald eyes flicked back to Rho as the High Fae spoke once more, dragging him out of his thoughts and back into reality, unfortunately for Will. Raising his shoulders in a shrug, the halfblood exuded nonchalance as an unamused chuckle escaped his lips.
“Who knows,” he began, tone void of any emotion as he lied through his teeth, “off with some girl, probably.” His eyes slightly narrowed as he peered down at the pureblood, suddenly curious as to why he even cared about the whereabouts of the other half of the Serafin duo. “Why do you ask?”
Man. Some party this was turning out to be.

tobias serafin courtier and emissary to loren blackthorn. - - ✘ - - Mischief gleamed in Tobias’ azure gaze as Livia failed to push him away once more. A dark chuckle escaped his lips, husky and low, as his deadly smile grew broader, evolving into a full grin. He could tell his charms were working…even if she did not care to admit this directly to him. He knew that she found him every bit as attractive and amusing as he found himself. And with that knowledge in mind, the male crossed his arms loosely over his chest, lazily shifting his weight from one side to the other as an almost-smug look crept into his expression. In his mind, he was winning this little game of hers. Without a doubt.
The way Livia’s full, blood-red lips curled into a sinful smirk of her own caused Tobias’ heart to stop, to skip a full beat. (He cursed inwardly, knowing that, as a powerful Shadowsinger, she probably could sense that or something. He didn’t know what exactly faeries of her ability were capable of doing, but…that seemed like it would be something that would fall into the realm of Livia’s power.) There was something darker about her…something he had failed to notice before. And perhaps he had completely underestimated Livia’s ability as a seductive temptress, someone who could have any male she pleased, if she so desired. But with this envisioned, his own desire for her only grew.
The playful glint returned to the Night Court courtier’s expression as Livia spoke again, the nature of her words causing his cerulean eyes to twinkle with amusement. He liked that she could keep him on her toes, and that she didn’t fall for his charm right away. (Now, of course, he hoped that she would eventually. But. Y’know. Tobias Serafin was a patient individual.)
His oceanic gaze followed Livia’s darting eyes until they, too, landed upon the two conversing High Ladies. Oh, silly, silly Isabel. And ditzy Adrianna. Did they not think to assume that they would have eyes upon them? That the two, dark High Lords would instruct their trusted members of their respective circles to keep a close watch? If they thought for a second that a few mere hedges would deter prospective eavesdroppers from, well, eavesdropping, then they were sorely mistaken. And dumber than Tobias originally expected them to be.
Without another word, the male High Fae weaved through the crowd of faeries just behind the Shadowsinger (though he did have a bit of a difficult time keeping up with her), and as they entered the intricately-crafted maze of hedges, Livia paused. And Tobias should have been paying closer attention. But, alas, he found himself much too focused on how she looked when she walked: how her ruby-red gown clung to her beautiful figure, how her hips slightly swayed with every step. So when she stopped and turned to face him, he kept walking…right into her. Like the idiot he was.
Stumbling backwards once again — for the second time in a period of about five minutes, maybe less — he regained his balance fairly quickly and smoothed his silky, slate-gray shirt as his gaze returned to hers. She could seriously hear them from…here? His ears strained as he tried desperately to pick up on the familiar, distinctly-feminine voices of Isabel and Adrianna. But only the faraway, somewhat-garbled sounds of chatter and music from the party met his attempts.
Blue eyes met the female’s once more as she continued to speak, and a hint of a grin began to pull at his lips. Now, he got to show off his own talents. Now, she needed him for something.
Hm.
Contemplating his options, Tobias turned facing the entrance of the maze as his back turned to Livia for a brief moment. How would he keep curious (or frisky) fae from disturbing them? He began to craft a mental picture, an image of the two sides of the opening beginning to meld together. Leaves and vines of deep, emerald hues began to swirl as tendrils from each piece meshed together, giving the appearance of another wall. A dead end, to anyone on the other side. Now, of course, this was only a glamour. An illusion. Simple, but effective. Yes, he felt confident in his abilities to keep prying eyes and ears away.
Now, his focus, once again, shifted back to the breathtakingly-beautiful Shadowsinger standing a mere few feet away. Stifling a bit of a smug simper, the courtier slowly sauntered on back to her, stopping just behind her. He placed a hand on her shoulder and seemed to almost hover over her for a moment, as if he were trying to deliberately get a little under her skin. (And perhaps that was the goal.)
“Hear anything interesting?” He allowed his gravelly voice to drop into a whisper as he spoke, and his warm, sweet-faerie-wine-tinged breath lightly brushed over her skin.
Tobias had no intention of stopping his little disturbances. They were far too entertaining.

sebastian fellrose eyes on fire, your spine is ablaze felling any foe with my gaze - - - - - - - - - - - - - A feral smile pulled at Sebastian’s lips, though he had to suppress the urge to roll his eyes at Raelyn’s blatant mockery of him. Of course, with her position and power, she was one of the few people who could get away with speaking to the High Lord of the Dawn Court in such a manner. Really, Sebastian shouldn’t have expected anything less from the silvery seductress. She was just like him – a master of playing this game, of navigating the vicious, lust-ridden world of faerie politics. Maybe even too much like him. She seemed to know exactly when to be seductive, but when to play hard-to-get. And since it was Sebastian who wanted something from her, naturally, she chose the latter.
No matter. He was happy to play along for now. His golden irises met the icy fire blazing in her sapphire ones as she let her velvety words slip into the air, though they were tinged with something sharper. A subtle challenge. “Oh, I assure you, Raelyn,” he drawled, “there is no one here I would rather spend the night with.”
And it was the truth. The rest of the night had been purely business – revealing his plans to Loren, orchestrating his meeting with Kalina. Though talking to Raelyn was technically business too, since he intended to use this opportunity to find out just how she felt about being only second-in-command of the Twilight Court. (Really, what was Adrianna thinking? He only had a vague sense of Raelyn’s personality, and even he could assume that Raelyn Silverblood would likely loathe the idea of being second to anyone, of being treated like some silly consolation prize would appease her.)
But Sebastian would also have the chance to put his own skills of seduction to the test once again, and that was always highly enjoyable. It had been far too long since had enjoyed the company of a beautiful female, what with Ravenna… and certainly no one else at his own Court could have possibly garnered his attention, though many had tried in the past five years to seduce their new High Lord, once the news that he and Ravenna were no longer together had spread. But all their efforts had been in vain, of course. None of them seemed to understand that Sebastian could not be seduced – that any attempt to use him to gain power would be met with cold retribution. Sebastian was the one who used people to get what he wanted. Never the other way around.
And Raelyn was no different. He had turned his attention to her because she, unlike the other faeries desperately vying for his affection in his own Court, might actually be useful to him. A means to an end. It didn’t hurt that she was also unimaginably breathtaking, and he didn’t doubt that he would enjoy spending time with her. But even for all her dusky, smoky beauty, the real reason he was pursuing her was because her last name was Silverblood – not for her stunning face, not for her tantalizing body. Those were simply (very pleasing) bonuses.
But only he himself knew that. He would let everyone else, Raelyn included, think that he was simply a lustful High Lord unable to resist the temptation of the alluring Twilight faerie. Let her think that she held all the cards, that she had him wrapped around her finger, that he would do anything just to have her.
Thankfully, she decided to relent a bit, a smooth suggestion that they dance falling from her plush lips. Perfect. She didn’t wait for an answer before spinning gracefully around, moving towards the dance floor with the practiced walk of an experienced temptress. Sebastian’s golden eyes darkened a shade as he remained in place, running them up and down the sight of Raelyn’s deliciously swaying hips with unconcealed desire. He followed a few moments later, the crowds already parted nicely for him after Raelyn’s little show.
Sebastian came to stand in front of her, leaving so little space between them that he could feel the heat radiating off her. His hands came to rest lightly at her waist as he moved with her to the lulling beat of the music. Though others had turned to look at the unusual pair of Loren and Kalina, probably wondering just who exactly this girl who had arrived with the High Lord of Dawn and was now dancing with the High Lord of Night was, Sebastian had no doubt that all eyes would now be on him and Raelyn. They made for a most fascinating pair – both devastatingly gorgeous and powerful. And no male would dare to interrupt them now. At least, no one who didn’t have a death wish. There was just a hint of possessiveness in the way Sebastian held Raelyn close to him, letting her soft, feminine body press up against the lean, hard lines of him. A warning to back off, because right now, Raelyn was his; and anyone who tried to take something from the High Lord of Dawn, well… Sebastian wasn’t known for being merciful.
He didn’t let the silence between them last for long, however. He still needed to keep Raelyn’s interest, or else she might decide to find someone else to entertain her. And he had promised to make this worth her while. But first, he needed to confirm that she was the dark, ambitious faerie he believed her to be.
“You know, Raelyn,” he began in a low voice, “I’ll admit I was more than a bit surprised when I heard that it was your sister who had taken the Twilight Court throne. She’s always seemed so… gentle. Delicate. Nothing like you.”
It was a seemingly harmless comment, but it held a hint of a question that he hoped she would answer.

loren blackthorni'm the demon from your nightmares. « - - - // Loren let out a chuckle. "I have no need to be in your mind, Kalina." The gorgeous nightblood took a step towards the fragile halfblood. "Everything I need to know is written right across your face and your smart little mouth seems to let me know everything I need to know, as well." He was now leaning close to her, he could feel her body heat radiating beneath her disreputable dress. There wasn't much there, which allowed Loren's mind to wander when he gazed up and down her body, his movements more feline than faerie.
A nefarious smirk pulled at his plush lips as he peered down at Kalina. He rose a slender hand from his side and placed it upon her chin, tilting her head to look right at him. His fingers held for a moment, before they started to trace subtle patterns closer and closer to her lips. "My dear, that sounded quite disrespectful," he purred. "Didn't your brother teach you any manners?" His voice was nothing short of taunting as he continued to hold her face upwards, his thumb was now tracing her bottom lip.
With his little display, he let his amythest eyes flicker to the side where he saw the infamous Raelyn, dressed in a dress that only she could pull off so well, and right behind her was none other than the brother of the girl he held captive in his grasp. Sebastian looked over, briefly, at the two who were not quite dancing but close enough that it did cause more than just a few stares. Loren glanced around the dance floor, and he was pleased that he did not see anyone of his inner circle. He knew that Tobias was assigned to a job; Charlotte tended to make herself scarce at such events. Ashtyn was nowhere to be seen as she remained behind, to keep an eye on the place as Loren's trust for this party only went so far.
His attention was drawn back from the crowd when he realized that Kalina was just staying completely still, completely tense, within his one hand. Then, surprisingly, Loren rolled his striking amethyst eyes. The playful glint in his eyes was enough to show that he was going to dance with this halfblood, and he would enjoy the disgusted stares, the envious gazes, and even the shock that would appear within Kalina's molten colored eyes.
Finally, the handsome High Lord of the Night Court closed the gap between himself and the girl. His free hand moved to the small of her back, before he released her chin and allowed his other hand to join around her waist. "Put your hands around my neck," he murmured, lowering his lips to her ear. It was not a mere suggestion, but rather an order from one of the high lords.
The music was just at the right tempo, and even with the hesitation of Kalina's movements, their bodies fit well together, almost too well. Loren allowed that one brief thought to escape to the back of his mind as he allowed his body to move against her. The nightblood lord then lowered his head once again, his lips brushing her ear, "how about you lead?" As he spoke, his body seemed to lose its momentum, just waiting for the, admittedly, gorgeous halfblood to take charge.

kalina fellrose help i'm alive my heart keeps beating like a hammer hard to be soft tough to be tender come take my pulse the pace is on a runaway train - - - - - - - - - - - - - Kalina bit down nervously on her lip, fighting the urge to take a step back as the stunning nightblood took one towards her with a low chuckle, bringing them ever closer. That almost predatory look in his eyes as he ran them lazily up and down her scandalously-clothed body made that weak, human part of her yearn to escape far, far away from him. But running wasn’t an option; her brother might have been surprisingly merciful in his treatment of her since Varian’s death so far, but she had a feeling that if she disobeyed orders tonight, he wouldn’t hesitate to kill her. And knowing Sebastian, her death would be slow and very, very painful.
But it occurred vaguely to her that Sebastian might never have the chance to punish her himself. For all she knew, if she continued to push Loren, the dangerous and devastatingly powerful High Lord might finally reach a breaking point in his tolerance of her ‘disrespect’ and take it upon himself to end her.
If Kalina thought Loren was handsome from a distance, he was even more so close up, where she could appreciate every little detail of his chiseled face, could notice every glittering hue of lilac and amethyst laced in the depths of his hauntingly-beautiful gaze. But he was also even more terrifying, with that nefarious smirk playing at his mouth and that dark hunger in his eyes. She repressed a shudder as he reached a slender hand up to rest gently at her chin, applying just enough force that she had to tilt her head up to look at him, meeting his violet stare head-on. Her breathing quickened as he began to trace subtle patterns with his fingers, tugging her bottom lip free from where she had been worrying at it with her teeth, and every inch of her skin seemed to flush uncomfortably hot from the combination of his smooth, silken voice taunting her and his delicately teasing touch.
Yes, she could now see how Loren had earned his reputation as a heartbreaker; every little thing he did, every expression, seemed to drip with absolute charm and seduction. Loren was unbelievably handsome, of course, but it was so much more than that – something about the way he held himself, the way he moved with that lazy grace and confidence, made him even more irresistible. So Kalina supposed, at least, for any other fae girl. And she couldn’t deny she was attracted to him; who wouldn’t be? But in her case, it was the sort of attraction one might have felt towards a flickering flame. Though beautiful from afar, Kalina would have preferred to stay a distance away to avoid getting burned. She was, after all, much more fragile than a fullblooded faerie – and infinitely more vulnerable.
So, as much as Kalina wanted to snap another sharp retort, she bit down on her tongue and her fiery temper in favor of her own self-preservation. Loren had been surprisingly lenient so far, but she couldn’t be sure that his patience would last much longer. Instead, she merely glared up at him with icy loathing glimmering in her brilliant golden gaze. Fine – he said he could read everything written on her face? Let him.
She noticed Loren’s attention wandering around the dance floor before it finally returned to her, and with a playful roll of his striking violet eyes, he suddenly closed what little gap remained between them. His free hand moved to the small of her back, while his other hand released her chin and slipped around her waist, pulling her flush against him. Kalina hated herself for the involuntary gasp that escaped her at the sensation of his lean, muscular form pressed against hers; hated how her heart skipped a beat in her chest, hated how his hand brushing against a sliver of bare skin revealed by her dress sent lightning run through her veins.
God, he was frustrating. She wasn’t sure who she hated more now – Loren, or herself, for reacting to him so predictably. Pathetically, if she was being honest. Of course, he probably knew exactly what he was doing, she reminded herself; he was just toying with her. No doubt he reveled in knowing how effortlessly he could make a girl melt in his arms. So Kalina took in a deep, steadying breath, steeling herself to hide how much he affected her. Even as his warm breath ghosting over her ear, his voice a sensual murmur, sent all kinds of shivers through her – some not entirely unpleasant, if she could forget just who exactly Loren was; but she couldn’t. He was the ruthless High Lord of the Night Court, and worse, a friend of Sebastian’s, apparently. Because Cauldron knew that anyone who willingly chose to associate with her brother had to be some kind of psychotic monster.
Unfortunately, Kalina had no choice but to obey Loren’s command, or else risk dire consequences from at least one of the High Lords of Night and Dawn. And so she did as she was told, reaching up to wrap her arms gingerly around his neck. This time, when he lowered his lips to brush against her ear, she was not quite as unprepared, so she didn’t display any physical reaction; she merely nodded and, as he suggested, took the lead.
As much as she didn’t want to admit it, his body fit well against hers – too well. But she hastily pushed that thought aside as she moved her body gracefully, rhythmically in time with the lull of the odd faerie music. Kalina was no amateur dancer, and neither was Loren; though that was to be expected, given how he already moved with such precise, enviable grace.
Silence, however, settled rather uncomfortably around them, with heat radiating off both their bodies and a tension hanging in the air. The moment felt unsettlingly intimate, Kalina thought, and she soon became eager to fix that. After all, Loren was much easier to hate when he was talking. So she let her silvery voice flutter out, “You know, you’re not what I expected.”
She let him twirl her around before she spun herself back into his arms and continued. “Although I never really heard much about you until…” Kalina swallowed, the words sticking in her throat. He would know what she meant, though – until the mysterious deaths of the rulers that left both of them parentless. And, in her case, helpless to her malicious half-brother’s will. But she couldn’t bring herself to speak so casually of her father’s death. “But the rumors of the past few years are that you’re just as ruthless and heartless as my brother.” She laughed dryly. “So I’m a little disappointed that you’re only about a tenth as scary as he is.”
That wasn’t exactly the truth. He was probably at least half as terrifying as Sebastian – and considering how much she feared him, that was saying quite a bit. But the wild, freeing music was perhaps impairing her judgment, and it was probably a very bad idea to taunt the powerful High Lord – and yet, here she was. Doing just that, with a mischievous half-smirk tilting her lips, to draw attention away from the fact that she couldn’t stop thinking about how infuriatingly attractive he was and how perfectly they fit together.

raelyn silverbloodtrue evil is, above all things, seductive. « - - - //
The dusky goddess moved her body, perfectly fitted amongst that of the lean, but muscular body of the High Lord. They moved in a rhythm that seemed unnatural, especially for two people who have never really spent much time together. of course, brief glances and casual smiles have been exchanged the two high ranking faeries but thats all it had ever been. Now, however, their bodies were impeccable — fitted together as if they were a puzzle piece. With the swaying and grinding of their bodies, it was quite the sight to see.
The High Lord of the Dawn Court was dancing, quite scandalously, with that of the second in command of the Twilight Court. Two powerful beings gathered together were bound to bring the attention of the rest of the party. Raelyn lifted her gorgeous blue eyes and they were met with a lustful fill pool of gold. Rolling those angel eyes, she leaned her head back as she allowed her body to grind against that of his muscular physique. It was no surprise for such a huntress to be found against one of a hunter’s status; both were equally attractive, each being their own strengths to the table.
However, her head snapped back up to glance at the male she was grinding against; her body slowed, ever-so-slightly. Her hands dropping from around his neck, pressing against his chest in a sort of … protection. The only reason Sebastian could have noticed the tension change was that Raelyn was pressed right up against him, leaving little to imagination. Her plush lips that were once fitted into a smirk were now in a straight line. Her sparkling blue eyes were no longer holding their spark, but rather a chilling glow.
“Why am I not surprised that this topic is being brought to the table?” She growled lightly; if she had hackles, they would be bristling at the implication.
She slowly pressed her body even closer to that of Sebastian’s, her hips grinding against his and her chest swelling against his solid form. Her lips were brushing that of his jawline as she let out a sultry voice, “I’m surprised that the High Lord of the Dawn Court would be so careless with approaching such a sensitive, Twilight Court subject.”
She nipped at his chin as she pulled back. “I don’t trust you, Sebastian Fellrose, so how about you just tell me what you want from me?” Her eyes dropped low, allowing her thick, dark eyelashes to brush her polished, ivory skin.
Raelyn gave a soft chuckle as she rose her arms back up, entwining around his neck. “Although, Fellrose, I’m intrigued by what you could be interested in, so please, do share.” Her gorgeous eyes were now peering up at the taller male. This Twilight faerie was more than patient, waiting for what dared to come from that venomous tongue of his. If he wanted to play with fire, he had to be willing to allow himself to be burned. It was the only compromise that Raelyn Silverblood would give the handsome High Lord.
She knew it was a challenge that he could not ignore.

loren blackthorni'm the demon from your nightmares. « - - - // Now, this High Lord was not completely oblivious to her body, or rather, the way his body molded, perfectly, against hers. She may be nothing more than a human halfblood, but there was something quite tantalizing about the way she moved — timid but well aware; quiet but with more sass than many other female faeries. Miss Kalina Fellrose knew what she was doing, and it was more than obvious that she was a mere puppet in a game, one that was controlled by her brother.
He may have been the one who had closed the distance between the two and that was an act all on its own — however, the fragile halfblood did not dare to pull away from him. Her frustration seemed to bathe him in rolling waves, and the only reaction that Loren could give was a chuckle. At least she was reacting to him, whether it be of want or frustration.
The first statement that came out of her mouth was hardly a shock to the handsome faerie. Oh? He let out a rather dark chuckle. Of course he was not what she expected; he was anything but an open book. The Night Lord was a mystery to all and that was the way he would remain.
A flash of anger flickered in his eyes as he peered down at the halfblood female. Every word that came from her little mouth made yet another spark of anger flicker trough the powerful nightblood male. It was almost surprising that she had the nerve to compare Loren Blackthorn to Sebastian Fellrose.
The gorgeous male let out a caustic laugh as his fingers found themselves pinching her chin, pulling her face to regard him once again. There was something dangerous floating in the depths of his amethyst eyes but it was quickly dismissed with a blink. “Oh Kalina,” he purred; her name rolling off his tongue like soft velvet.
“There is a difference between flaunting power and yielding power,” the Night Lord spoke as if it was just a casual conversation. HIs fingers still holding her chin still as his piercing eyes made direct contact with her own molten gold eyes. A co cky smirk was puling at his rose pink lips.
“Your brother has you so tightly wound, you would be scared of your own shadow — if he so asked you to be,” he whispered. With that last taunt, he tightened his hold on her delicate chin before tilting her entire head to the side, exposing her neck. Bending his head, closing the distance between them, he kissed the exposed skin. It was soft and silky underneath his plush, damp lips and he felt a sly smirk pulling at the corners of his lips.
He tilted his head, ever-so-slighty, and licked at her exposed collarbone. Soon, Loren’s lips and tongue were traveling up from her collarbone to the crux where her neck and shoulder met. He nipped at the delicate spot, but it was nothing but innocent. However, it did not take long for his hot kisses to go back to her exposed neck and thats when the dangerous glint returned to his amethyst hued eyes; luckily for him, Kalina could not see his intentions but he knew she was anything but stupid.
Loren let his plush lips pull back as a soft click sounded in his ears, exposing his sharp canines. They only grazed the top of the ivory, warm skin before he pulled back, his lips now brushing the very spot.
“I’m not scary, sweetheart,” Loren growled. “I”m dangerous.”
He moved his fingers away from her chin, trailing them down her face, then towards the back of her neck. His slender fingers knotted themselves within her hair, pulling her head back — a tad bit rougher than the handsome nightblood was intending.
The High Lord gave a slight growl before he felt his sharp fangs pierce her skin and the small gush of blood filled his mouth. The liquid was beyond tantalizing, swirling around his tastebuds before he swallowed the precious blood. He gave a slight moan as he continued to take a few more gulps, and he felt his body soaking up the magic within her own blood. She may have been a human halfblood but the High Fae blood that flowed through her veins was now finding itself within Loren Blackthorn’s very own bloodlines.
He gave a quick lap over his bite before raising his head up away from the crook of her neck. Slowly licking off the blood from his lips, he released his grasp upon on her hand and moved his hand back to the small of her back, adjoining with his other hand. This movement was one of possession but also to steady the fragile halfblood. He had not taken very much of her blood but regardless, it was probably a sensation she had never experienced before. Knowing his usual victims felt pain when he first pierced their skin, but soon bloodlust filled them because afterall, a night blood’s bite could be as addicting as it was dangerous.
He knew that this Fellrose faerie would be more than freaked out by his little display of power, his little show of danger, but it was almost … electrifying. However, there was something different about the way her blood was affecting him, as if it was giving him more power than the normal human blood did. His veins felt like they were on fire, burning with no mercy.
He pushed back the thoughts of her delicious blood and how gloriously it was, running through his veins.
Loren gave a rather dark smirk, paired with a rumbling chuckle, as he allowed her to face him once again. “Kalina Fellrose, why must you taunt me?” Of all people to taunt, why was she taunting the High Lord of the infamous Night Court?
