Hey there I just realized I really want fish?? I love my houseplants bc its something to care for, brings life in my room, and helps depression a bit too. So now that's kinda moved onto fish bc y'know, they're a little more animated lol
But im on a crazy budget, and the last time I had them was when I was a kid. Im looking for a cheaper tank, a type that is easy to care for, how much care might be... as for the type of fish, I don't really care! Nothing high maintence, they can be pretty cheap and plain looking.
Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions, ideas about price and care, or anything like that - trying to get a feel for it b4 I put actual $$ into getting some

if you look in garage sells or ebay you can get some really nice tanks really cheap, but you would have to clean them and stuff. if you want the tank new a there's a 90 dollar tank that's new and comes with everything you need on amazon, which is really nice. if you want to go all cheap I'd suggest getting your stuff on amazon NOT at your local pet store. The pet stores like petsmart are always ripping you off for something that's really cheap online. Although you have to buy fish at the pet store, their not that expensive. fish like mollies, guppies, any sort of tetra, or platys range from $1.00 - $5.00, but some you can breed easily and have your very own grown fish. if you need advice just ask me

Ah thank you! Buying all online is what I'm going to do then, I hadn't considered it but that makes a lot of sense.
If it's alright I might PM you with more questions after I look into a few things 0:

•♕• very nice fish can cost a lot, as well with upkeep. get freshwater fish for sure haha at least when you are just starting out a lot of high maintenance fish are mis-marketed as low maintenance (goldfish come to mind,) so be careful! •♔•

Yay! Someone interested in fish!
Anyways, I would suggest getting a betta. It will need at least 2.5 gallon, a filter, and a heater. (5 gallons is a lot better though.) If you find deals and shortcuts, you can manage to keep it pretty cheap. Just make sure to do lots of research before you buy anything. My inbox is also open for plenty of questions! (Though I might not be able to answer until tomorrow.)
