My cute Winston boy has always been a dwarf, and I haven't doubted otherwise until he grew up. he's seven years old and has grown to be 5 or 6 pounds already, with ears over 2 inches long. He still has the vague impression of a dwarf, but could he be a false? I just want to clarify this. I've always thought of him as a smoke pearl netherland dwarf. So.. That's him. Here's another photo below! And.. another of him all relaxed and stretched out like the cutest thing in the world! So.... there he is. I hope there are some rabbit-savvy forumers over here to help me with his breed mystery!

It's like my cat in rabbit form... No idea what kind of rabbit he really is, but when I see rabbits like him in pet stores, I call them Siamese, because the color points are the same as a Siamese cat He is very cute though )

Thanks! Yes, I think it's optional to add the 'siamese' on if it's a rabbit, but if I decided to add it his breed would be a Siamese Smoke Pearl Netherland dwarf. I feel that it's a bit long though. Your cat must be really cute too!

he looks like a netherland dwarf to me tbh. i have a netherland dwarf, a lionhead/mix (really is only poofy around his head so i don't think he's full lion), and a rex dwarf. it's hard to tell scale here but i think my netherland is bigger than yours and he's still technically a dwarf. he was originally from a breeder who breeds netherland dwarfs so. yours just might also be a chunky boy. also i don't know how well refined rabbit breeds are so that could cause a lot of variation among breeds, esp with his coloration

Yeah. I looked up a bit about Netherland dwarfs, their specific type in particular, and it seems they are a very small breed of dwarf rabbit. Dwarfs in general can have a range of sizes and weights, but the average Netherland dwarf is about 1 to 2 pounds. Winston is....5. I'm beginning to think he is a false dwarf or mix.

Yep. I just feel a bit skeptical because he grew to 5 or 6-ish pounds.

he's definitely a smoke pearl netherland dwarf. most of my rabbits are lionhead dwarfs

Okay. Thanks for clarifying! I was pretty sure about his breed until he gained weight. Perhaps just a clunkier dwarf. I'm not feeding him too much food, so being a bit larger than normal shouldn't be a problem.
