IC "Alright, lets see...we've got clean bandages, disinfectant, tweezers, and...no numbing medicine, sorry," Piper apologized as they rummaged through the container to grab what was needed before starting back over to the couch and walking over to the front of it, offering their hands out to Mika, where all the stuff that they had found was scattered on their hands. "But numbing medicine isn't as important, right?" They asked with a small smile.

Mika nodded. "Right. Thank you." He'd be able to manage without the numbing medicine. Wouldn't help that it was probably going to hurt though. Just think that it'll heal faster without the wire caught in it... He tried to reassure himself, but he still knew it was going to be rough. He collected the other items from them, tucking his pant leg between his upper leg and the couch. Fortunately the wounds didn't go past his knee. He hesitated a bit, trying to think where to start. Disinfecting... or the wire...

IC "You should take the wire out first by the way. It'll hurt like a truck of rhinos running over your toe, but it would be way easier to clean out all that gunk and stuff without it there," Piper said casually, more than glad to offer their own assistance in the matter...in words, getting dirty wasn't really part of their job. No their job right now was to drink coffee, so they headed back into the kitchen to let Mica handle all of that while they got creamer and sugar out.

Mika considered their advice a second, then nodded in agreement. As much as he'd like to wait to upset the skin around the wire, it needed to come out before things could get better. He waited for Piper to move a fair distance away before he wrapped his hand in the dirtied bandage to keep the wire from injuring his hands too and he began to remove the metal. He gave a small hiss, trying to keep quiet. As the last of the wire was pulled free, the wound turned cold and hot at the same time, from the air suddenly exposed to it and from the bothered skin. It was starting to bleed again, though not nearly as bad as before. He began to spritz the wound with the disinfectant, hissing again at the stinging feeling.

IC "I do not want to be you right now," Piper piped in as they walked back over, a red mug in their hand as they brought it up and sipped the coffee. "That looked a lot like it hurt, and I have no almost pain tolerance...gotta keep myself safe," they explained, even though there was actually a bit more to it than that, but that wasn't something Mika needed to know. There were just some things they weren't ready to share.

Mika gave a small nod, only half listening to their words. He tried to stay focused on getting this over and done with as quickly as he could. There wasn't much left to do. He inspected the damaged areas as best he could for any sign of debris or filth left behind before picking up the cloth wrap and beginning to cover the injury again. It barely took a minute to get his leg wrapped tightly under the new bandages. With the task done, he gave a small sigh and leaned back against the couch. He was admittedly tired and still a little stressed out from the entire thing. His leg still hurt, but it wasn't like he was going to lose it.

OOC Hey, cool new avatar!
IC Piper watched with a raised brow in curiosity, slowly drinking their coffee, which was already beginning to take affect. They were so hyper when they had coffee, why did they insist on doing this to themselves? It was something even Piper didn't know, yet they continued to do it. "So, would now be a good time to ask what happened, or...do you still need a minute?" They asked, finishing off their drink and walking back to the kitchen to drop it into the sink after a good rinsing out. Trust them, they'd appreciate the small gesture tomorrow, when they have to actually do the dishes.

"Well..." Mika hesitated. "In all honesty, I'm still not sure what happened. I landed to rest for the night, and I was walking in search of a place I could lie down and be hidden. I heard something snap, and then there was wire everywhere. I must have set off some kind of trap, but I have no idea who placed it or what they were hunting. When I tried to get out of the trap, some of the wire got caught around my foot. I heard people approaching so, I fled." He explained, trying to remember if there had been anything else.

IC Piper nodded their head slowly as they took in the story. "I see. Well you're welcome to crash here as long as you need," they told him as they finished off their coffee and stared into the cup. "Why do you do this to yourself Piper? Now you're going to be up for hours..." Piper lectured themselves quietly, as the coffee had kicked in by then. Hey at least they didn't flavor it with Red Bull today, and at least they didn't have work tomorrow. So, looking on the bright side, at least there was that.

(I'm so sorry I've been away. This month I'm getting ready to move out of state and I have to change a lot of things at the college and do well in twice as many more classes than I'm used to taking.)
Mika listened to them mumble to themselves over the coffee before quietly replying. "Thank you." He said, unable to keep the exhaustion from his voice. This night had been an ordeal and a half, and he wasn't used to so much commotion. Not to mention the injury and the haphazard flight. All of it felt draining, and it was as though the last of his energy just vaporized away in another sigh. He leaned back against the couch cushions, eyes half open. He wasn't used to the comfort of furniture and it admittedly made him somewhat sleepy.
