[Yeah, I know, right! I didn't intend this when we started rping but it feels so perfect right now I love it]
"No, I don't think I have anything to do for a little while after this," Agnes replied with a smile as she paused her scrubbing to wipe some sweat from her forehead with the back of her hand "And I'd like to help you out with the slop buckets - it gives me an excuse to finally properly meet Elias"
Agnes hadn't had anything more, really, than passing glances of Lydia's brother, but she would rather like to properly meet him. If he was truly Lydia's brother, Agnes was certain she'd like him. She liked Lydia after all; the girl kept Agnes from blowing up.
So, renewed with the excitement at the prospect of getting to spend more time with Lydia and getting the chance to meet her brother, Agnes scrubbed even more vigorously, the mud going off much more easily now as she moved closer to the middle of the room.
This was so exciting! She couldn't wait, and she found herself smiling as she worked. From what Lydia had told her, Elias was nice. Though, of course, Lydia didn't have enough time to spend with Elias so really she had no idea what he was like anymore, unfortunately.

Lydia smiled and nodded gently to her response and continued scrubbing. Soon they were about 2 meters from each other with just a few boot prints left to be cleaned up. She sighed heavily and finally they had finished. Lydia sat back onto her heels and stretched her shoulders a bit, reaching her hands up above her head and nodding, "There." she murmured lightly.
Since they had finished Lydia rose and picked up her towel, resting it over her arm and putting all the others into the bucket of dirty water. "Let's go and get rid of all of this then." she nodded lightly as she glanced over their work, checking it all quickly to ensure they were truly done.
Lydia turned then and began down towards the kitchen and store closets where they kept all of their supplies. They reached it quickly and she set her towels into the bins for laundry and dumped the water out the nearest window before setting the bucket into the closet as well.
With that, Lydia lead the way into the kitchen where there were four buckets waiting to be brought out. Two for each of them. She sighed once more and tucked some of her blonde hair back behind her ears and then took one bucket in each arm and smiled to Agnes.

Agnes dumped her own dirty water before heading to pick up two of the other buckets, trying to ignore the rather foul smell coming from the buckets.
"I have to say, Lydia," Agnes smiled as she hauled the two buckets up, feeling the weight of them as she did "That you truly get the worst jobs in the castle. I've only had to do this a couple of times. Though I do empty out my fair share of chamberpots, so I suppose it's even, actually"
She pushed open the door to get outside with her hip, holding it open so Lydia could get out and lead the way. She knew the best shortcuts to get to the pigs, anyway, since she did this job more often than Agnes did. She didn't want to get in her way or anything like that.
It was a little chilly outside, but it wasn't too bad. Agnes wasn't sensitive to cold, perhaps because she had spent a chunk of her childhood without a home to go to and so she'd got far too used to chilly winter temperatures. She really didn't seem to notice the cold anymore, and it scared her a little bit sometimes.

Name: Inez de Salinas
Were they real: Yes--she was the younger sister to Maria de Salinas who was one of Catherine of Aragon's closest friends who had come with her from Spain
Position: Lady in waiting
Personal History description: Inez was the daughter of Martín de Salinas and Josefa González de Salas, who were members of the royal household in Castile, and probably related to the royal family and the younger sister to Maria de Salinas. Despite how she acts emotional at times Inez is very perceptive and can pick up small signs to be able to read someone.
Physical description: Inez has long straight black hair which falls roughly to her mid back bit she will normally if not always have it braided out of her face even if she leaved the majority of the leaf down. Her skin is tanned but still relatively pale in comparison to what you might expect especially considering how dark her hair is. Her eyes are a dark green brown and they are framed by a pair of dark lashes.

Lydia actually gave a light laugh and shrugged to her, "I like this one actually." she told her over her shoulder as she strolled past her through the door. "It gives me the chance to spy on my brother. Actually make sure he's working." she laughed a little more and continued onward.
Truly, Lydia preferred the jobs where she had the least amount of interaction with the royalty and the court. This one in particular kept her on the lower floors and with the foul orders from the buckets no one dared come near her for fear of being spilt on.
Her normal chores included thing like their current task, setting out laundry to dry, taking out old/soiled/slept in sheets from current chambers, dusting tapestries and portraits in the lower halls, cleaning empty chambers of cobwebs and moths, and now and then she was called upon by ladies of the court to help dress, assist with hair, or run a bath for them.
Most of her gossip came from the ladies and in passing when she changed sheets and hung out laundry. Lords were stand in the halls conversing outside of "empty" chambers where they thought no one was. Ladies always gossiped while they were together. And often conversations were overheard, while she was hanging sheets, from open windows just above her head.

[I'm possibly seeing Inez and my Marion having a little bit of conflict? That might be interesting. Inez is passionate and isn't afraid to express her opinions whereas Marion is cool and calculating. They're both ladies-in-waiting, so might be interesting]

And often conversations were overheard, while she was hanging sheets, from open windows just above her head. It was a long trek, but with a friend by her side it didn't seem nearly as far to Agnes as it usually did, and they were soon there. She emptied the slop buckets, grateful to be rid of the heavy, foul-smelling slop. This was never a particularly enjoyable job, she had to admit. Even if, for some reason unknown to Agnes, Lydia seemed to like it. "Alright then," Agnes said with a satisfied smile, relieved to be finally done with the slop buckets "Now we can go and hunt down that brother of yours, can't we? I can't wait to get to meet him properly." She was really quite excited, even though there probably wasn't a reason for her to be. She knew who Elias was, had seen him around a few times, so actually getting into a conversation with him shouldn't be that big a thing, should it? Then again, maybe it was the fact that Lydia spoke all the time about her brother, and Agnes was eager to see if Elias was like she expected him to be

Lydia dumped her own buckets and then set them down and brushed off her hands. She then smiled and nodded to Agnes, "Of course!" she chimed brightly. She paused a moment and thought and then headed off towards the gardens firstly.
Elias was, in fact today, working out in the gardens. He had a large sickle in his hand and was cropping some of the edges to make them appear more sightly. He sighed and wiped his brow and glanced around for a moment before continuing his work.
The groundskeeper today had pulled on a simple and worn pair of black pants with a leather apron about his waist and a simple white shirt overtop of that. His pants tucked into his boots and a wrap about his head to catch a bit of his sweat. In his apron were a few different, smaller tools for his job.
The two siblings looked day and night from each other when together, their only similarities residing in their eyes and their smiles, having the exact same ones. Where Lydia had pale skin from indoors, Elias was tanned and freckled. Lydia had dirty blond hair where Elias' was sun-bleached from hours upon hours outdoors.

Agnes recognised Elias the moment she caught sight of him, remembering how different he looked from his sister. They were different in almost every way apart from their eyes and their smiles. She remembered when she first saw Elias, thinking that she must be looking at the wrong person, because he surely couldn't be Lydia's sister.
But she did have childhood memories of seeing him when she first came to the courts, and Elias had looked much more like his sister then, before his hair had been bleached and his skin tanned by the sun. Now he looked radically different. Almost like an entirely different person, now he was grown up.
"There he is," Agnes smiled, pointing him out to Lydia when she caught sigh of him "Let's go and say hello. But let's shout his name first to let him know that we're here - I don't know about you, but I wouldn't much like to startle him while he's holding that great sickle of his."
The sickle, was, after all, quite a sharp blade, and so it was not something Agnes wanted to be on the receiving end of if she happened to give the groundskeeper a shock. That wouldn't be a great experience for anybody, so she figured that it'd be best to give him some warning.

Lydia beamed seeing her brother and clapped her hands together. She laughed lightly and nodded, "I think that's a great idea." she told her with a little laugh. "Elias!" she called brightly as she hurried to see her brother again.
Elias looked up sharply hearing his name, though he relaxed a bit seeing his sister and Agnes with her. He remembered Agnes from their childhood when he'd been able to spend more time in the castle. That was around his age 13 so they were around 11 or so. He smiled and waved to them before setting down his sickle.
Lydia smiled and rushed over to him and hugged her brother happily, "Hello." she murmured into his chest before pulling away and wiping off a bit of his sweat from here face.
Elias grinned an nodded in greeting to the two, "Hello ladies. Are you done for the day? Or just taking a quick break?" he inquired with a smile as he wiped his hands on his apron.

"Hello Elias," Agnes smiled in greeting as Lydia hugged her brother. It was nice to see her so happy to see her brother. It was heartwarming. When he asked if the two women were done for the day, Agnes laughed "Oh, we don't finish for the day, Elias. We barely get time for a few hours of sleep as it is. No, we're just taking a break" Great, she'd opened with a joke. Not a bad start, but she maybe could have tried to make a better first impression. You know, one where she didn't have to use humour to get off to a good start with a person. Oh well, it wasn't the end of the world. Elias seemed nice already, anyway, so Agnes didn't mind if she let herself be her usual self around him.

Elias chuckled to Agnes' remark and nodded, "I see, well I'm glad you decided to spend your break to find me then." he chimed in response as he pushed his hands into the pocket of his apron and took in another deep breath.
Lydia nodded in response as well, "What are you doing?" she inquired with a tip of her head to her sibling as she looked him over a moment. She was fairly certain he was taller, though then again, Lydia was a bit on the shorter side.
Elias smiled and motioned to the hedges, a long row of them leading to the botanical garden ahead of them, "This. Trimming and making them look more presentable than they currently are. Then I've got some unsightly weeds that have been springing up in by the fountains to the northern end." he told them both with a light sigh .
Elias glanced to Agnes and Lydia each and arched a brow giving a light sniff, "What were the two of you doing before this, it's faint but you smell a bit of the hog shed and old food carvings." He commented with a little bit of a chuckle, knowing full-well it wasn't the most polite thing to insult a lady on her odor.

"Oh, we were giving some slop to the pigs. That's why we smell of the hog shed," Agnes replied with a little smile and with a raised eyebrow of her own
She probably would have insulted him on his own odour but he only smelt of fresh air and other pleasant garden smells, being the groundskeeper, although maybe with a slight tang of sweat beneath it, which was totally expected for someone working as hard as he did all day
"It's good to finally get the chance to properly meet you," Agnes said with a smile "I don't think we've spoken properly, or at least we haven't for a very long time. Lydia tells me a lot about you, so I was quite happy to come and say hello with her."
Well, it was true - Lydia had painted quite a pleasant picture of her older brother and Agnes had been quite eager to meet him for a long time but hadn't been able to, usually hindered with a full schedule or an unexpected job or something of that sort.
He definitely seemed nice, and she was happy to see that she seemed to be making a good first impression

Lydia smiled at the two conversing and sighed happily at the sunshine hitting her face. At the mention of her talking about her brother she blushed lightly and shrugged, "It keeps my mind off of the wretched people in the court." she commented with a little laugh.
Elias nodded in return and he chuckled lightly at the mention and nodded. "I suppose I am quite the topic to talk about." he joked lightly with a fake air of pride. He wasn't anything like those within the walls of the castle, he preferred this. The quiet he had outside.
Then he nodded once more to Agnes, "I do believe it's been years or so since we've actually talked, it's good to see you again." he told her politely, smiling warmly to her.
