Skylar Brennan Skylar is a young British woman, only twenty one years old or so, though life in the apocalypse has aged her a bit prematurely, so she now has the look of someone in their early thirties. For a woman she’s tall, reaching a height of five foot eight, and has the look of someone who, a long time ago, may have been pretty, and though she still isn’t bad looking, she now looks tougher and a bit more battle scarred. The pale skin of her face, arms, and torso is traced with scars, some of them more pronounced than others, and the most visible of them being the long, thick stretch of slightly pink skin on the back of her lower leg where she got burned in a fire and the claw-mark like scratches on the right side of her face where she was attacked by a mutant dog. She has light, fiery auburn hair that was once shiny but is now dull and lackluster, which falls to the center of her back, and blue-green eyes that, unlike the rest of her apocalypse-dulled appearance, still maintain their fiery light. A few freckles sprinkle her cheeks and the bridge of her nose, almost entirely concealed by dirt and grime. She’s incredibly thin, almost pitifully so, with hardly any meat left on her bones and her ribs clearly visible through her skin. She’s no pushover, however; Skylar is much stronger than she looks, and can definitely hold her own in a fight. Skylar is, and always has been, a survivor. Bold and fiercely independent, Skylar has never really needed the support of others to survive, and has proven so many times over, though a large part of her still longs for the company of others. She’s funny in that socially awkward sort of way, and as a result often finds herself feeling a bit left out in large groups. Having been betrayed by someone she loved dearly *coughAricough*, she has found herself a bit wary of close relationships, yet has found herself longing to be close to someone in the same way she once was with her older brother. She’s loyal to the death, however, and once you work your way into her heart she will fight to the death to keep you safe.
Here we go cx ))

Borya Aliyev
Borya looked at her, his fingers continuing its way to make the gentle patterns as he held her. His eyes shifted, a sense of... instinct overwhelming his systems. His fingers gently brushed over her damp hair, leaning against the posts on the porch as his breathing was calm. "Its okay Детская кукла," he told her softly, giving a tip of his head. Alyona had disappeared, the female returning not long later and Borya leaned forward, making sure Ezri didn't let go of him. His lips pursed, soon cradling her as he shifted her to look up towards him. His scarred face was released of its usual and cool look, a soft look in his eyes and his lips actually curled in a small but kind hearted smile.
" Here, I have some food for you," he offered then, helping her sit up slightly as he held out a piece of stale bread. It was lined with some meat- probably some form of ham- and the crust was removed. His eyes searched her face, letting her take the sandwich as his hand gently brushed away her tears. "Theres no room for tears- not for a pretty girl like you. Smile," he murmured then, his smile finally forming- one that stretched over his face in a sense of hope. His silvery hair was drying, and it finally stood out in several places to make it the appearance he indeed had been in the wild for a bit. Alyona was smiling to her, though, she gripped Sinopa's hand tightly as if afraid to move from the woman's side.
Borya swallowed nervously, his eyes searching her face as he held Ezri. "Whats your name Детская кукла?"
(Okay, so Borya is calling Ezri Baby Doll; I thought it would be a cute little nickname for her from him) this is cute cause Borya actually looks similar to one of the people Sinopa is with if she used to be with someone in a role play so he looks similar to Ezri's dad. the adoption would be mutual and I know that If Sinopa does die then she will be in safe hands] Ezri Ezri soon returned to a sniffling small child as she rubbed her eyes slowly before returning her grasp to his arm. His voice reached her ears, soft and gentle in its own way. He said something that sounded funny but she liked it. She tried to repeat it but stumbled over the words as she hiccupted. When he smiled she felt her own lips begin to curl into a smile. The gentleness was clear and in her eyes, she didn't even know he had a tough look most of the time. The man was so kind and gentle with her it reminded her of her daddy. She was all out of tears though so she simply clinged to him as if he would leave if she didn't. At the mention of food, Ezri perked up and looked for what it was she was being given to eat. It seemed like old bread with meat. She took it hungrily and began to eat it. The last of the tears left in her streamed down her face to be wiped away by the man's fingers. The food was good even though it was stale and old and that alone made her cry. His words sounded so familiar she paused mid bite and glanced at him with big, bluish green eyes. She took her bite and thought about the words she would say after she swallowed. "Mommy always says my smiles make everything better. I wish I could smile all the time for her but I haven't been feeling well enough to smile. It made Mommy really really sad." She finished up the bread and meat, smiling at him when she was done. At the question of her name, Ezri smiled and wrapped her arms around his arm again, turning so that her back was against his chest. "My name is Ezri. Mommy says my full name is Ezri Kachina-Azarov. My mommy's last name is Kachina and my daddy's is Azarov. They are going to get married soon but since they aren't there is a hyphen in my last name." Ezri had to spend a bit of time on the two last names and the word hyphen sounded undeveloped in her voice. "What's your name?"

A soft rumble of amusement jostled his broad and bare chest, his pale skin shining in the sun's soon to be fading rays. He looked down at her, making sure she was fully wrapped as his head tilted and green hues immediately twinkling. For the moment, the Russian forgot the setting he was in, and the fact that he was sitting, damp, on damp wood. Listening, his smile broadened at the fact she tried pronouncing his native tongue, and her last name. He let a calloused thumb gently brush her cheek and managed to swipe away any stray crumbs before he let his hand drop to curl around her protectively.
"My, that is an interesting name," he mused to her, blinking slowly then. Upon hearing the question of what his name was, his ears pricked. "Well... I am Borya Aliyev," he answered, pronouncing his name as Bow-ra and his last name, Ah-lee. He shifted to lean back comfortably against the porch then, eyes closing like a happy cat and humming. "Your mother is right- your smile does brighten the day," he complimented, peeking one eye open and managing to steal a small look down at her.
Borya was already thinking about where he could put Sinopa and Ezri, his eyes managing to drift towards the hide teepee and mulling it over. He was sure his sibling would be willing to share her hide blankets for a day or so. He would let Ezri take his bed, and figure out if Sinopa was going to be safe enough to even be put in the same space as her daughter. Turning his look down to her, he gave a toothy smile and simply brushed her hair back, before doing the same to his hair. In fact, if Sinopa got better, she could borrow some of his clothes, and Ezri with Alyona's. Couldn't have a child drowning in his clothing now could he?
"How did your mom get here with you?" he asked carefully, ears strained for the sound if her father might be here. Something inside him told him that this little girl was accepting him as a possible replacement- she was imprinting on him. And she was good at it.

Paisley retreated back inside herself as Arlo dismissed her, feeling exhausted by the short exchange. It was more human interaction then she had had for months and she had forgotten just how much energy it took to talk. Maybe coming here wasn't such a good idea after all. Her people skills were seriously lacking and she was sure that she had made of fool of herself by just opening her mouth. She was rusty, not at all as personable as she had been before the bombs dropped and it was defiantly showing. Back in the day, she could have charmed anyone or made even a rock laugh; however, it just wasn't that easier anymore. She wasn't happy or joyful or anything anymore; she was just empty and tired. And it was really hard to make someone like you when you had nothing going for you. It occurred to her that she could make an effort to befriend them and suck up to them, but that was more work then she was willing to do. Although, it was in her best interest to be on their good side, she could hardly bring herself to care. There wasn't any need for them to be her best friend, all there had to be was a mutual trust for this arrangement to work out. Paisley watched as the man that had single handedly decided whether she could be apart of the group (that was too much power in her mind) dash off to help whoever was in danger. Her eyes followed him until he was totally out of sight and she sighed softly before marching after Agnes. Her back felt bare without her shotgun pressing against her skin but she didn't complain and kept her mouth shut.
Paisley noted very landmark that she could find, drawig a mental map of the area in case these people were cannibals and she needed to haul tail. It wouldn't be the craziest thing she had seen over the past few years. The very thought of her walking in a cannibalistic tribe or whatnot made her want to puke and she quickly dismissed the idea. Hopefully these people were like her, just wanting to survive and maybe stay sane while doing it. It was a noble goal in this world. She groaned as she walked, her legs heavy with fatigue. How long was it since she had a good night's sleep? Too long for her liking. If this camp was set in a barn, maybe this could be the night that she got more then five hours of sleep. How lovely would that be! But unfortunatly, she didn't trust these strangers just yet, so she would have to sleep with one eye open. Oh well. It wasn't like she wasn't used it by now.

"How did your mom get here with you?" he asked carefully, ears strained for the sound if her father might be here. Something inside him told him that this little girl was accepting him as a possible replacement- she was imprinting on him. And she was good at it.
EzriEzri couldn't help but giggle as his chest moved, making her head and upper body be shaken slightly. She looked even smaller in the large jacket and in the arms of the large man. She began to feel tired especially after all that crying. The rising and falling of his chest as he breathed didn't help but she didn't want to go to sleep yet. She wanted to stay awake with her mother to see if she was okay. When the man wiped away the crumbs she made a face in annoyance but it left her face when he held her protectively. It felt nice. It had been a while since she felt someone strong hold her like this and something told her that she needed this. At the compliment, or what she took as one, Ezri beamed and titled her head back to look at him before returning it to its normal position. At his introduction, Ezri repeated the name in her head. "Borya," she said out loud feeling the sound of the word on her tongue. It was strange but interesting. At the next compliment, Ezri twisted and looked at him. "Really? I'll smile all the time then and make everyone happy," she told Borya excitedly smiling happily. A giggle escaped the small girl's throat at the sight of him with one eye open glancing down at her. When Borya glanced at a strange looking thing, so did Ezri's. She had no idea what that was so instead she moved in order to glance at her mother. She was still asleep and then the new question tore her away from her mother's image. "I was really sick so I don't remember. She carried me saying we were going somewhere until we could meet up with Daddy again." Ezri moved again to look at her mother who was now looking off away from the porch, her eyes open having just woken up. "Mommy!" Ezri exclaimed, getting a burst of energy as she slowly got up and went over to her mother. "Mommy, Mommy, they have food and they are nice people. Can we stay with them?" Sinopa
Sinopa had been awake since the girl she had grabbed the hand of left to get Ezri some food. Only now she couldn't keep her eyes closed trying to return to sleep. So they were open as she stared off towards the place she had been walking from. Emotions swelled up inside of her. Ezri seemed to have already grown attached to someone. What would she do if something happened and the man, Borya, died? How would she explain that? She couldn't even explain the death of Ezri's father let alone a stranger. A small voice exclaimed out a word she was very familiar with and she forced herself into a sitting position anticipating Ezri coming over to her. "They do?" Sinopa asked as if surprised like you usually do with children. She pulled her daughter close and looked at the two on the porch with her and Ezri. "I'm sorry we just showed up and bothered you. I hope you don't mind if we stick around for a while. At least for her." Sinopa smiled at Ezri and kissed her on the forehead and on the top of her head. Hearing her talk about her father made her treasure Ezri even more than she already did. After all, Ezri would be the best thing she had ever done considering she was eighteen when she had her. Sinopa's body was still shaking as she held Ezri and every so often she would see Nikolai. She felt faint and the cloth that had been on her head was now in her hands. It felt slightly warm from her high body heat and she knew her fever was worse than Ezri's considering her child seemed to be better now. It was no mystery that she had worn out her body out by not sleeping and walking for so long looking for anything to help Ezri without a break. "Darling, why don't you go back to the nice man? Mommy feels very bad and needs to rest." Her daughter pouted at her and tightened her grip on Sinopa. "No, I wanna stay with you, Mommy." Dark blue, dazed eyes looked pleadingly at Borya as she tried to keep from swaying as she sat up. Her arms trembled as they supported her and she kissed Ezri's head again, resting her head there for a moment with her lips pressed against her daughters damp hair.

I wanna know how people reach that level of beauty tho. like
what level you at???? I aint even close to leveling up stahp
----
Borya Aliyev
Borya blinked at Ezri, his eyes lightening at the prospect of her saying his name. He felt small pride swell in his massive chest, and for once he let that true joy be revealed. He watched, her, arms slackening when she had moved off to her mother and he gave a nod of understanding. "I see," he mused then as he blinked slowly. "Good, I want to see your smiling," he mused, his accent and sentence structure giving way now that he had begun speaking in his mother tongue. His cheeks dusted a light pink, though that could be dismissed as the thought of his scars pinkening from the way his skin was beginning to warm up now that the rain was gone.
His eyes shifted over to Sinopa, listening intently and ears pricking before he nodded. He reached out, large palms gently hooking underneath Ezri's armpits and he picked her up, whilst rising to his own feet. "We going and set up your warm bed. Both of you needing sleep," he stated seriously, however he propped Ezri up so one strong forearm was holding her up below her bum and legs, and the other letting his hand reach down and pick up the hide like teepee. His brows twitched and furrowed, making a glance to Sinopa. "You are not bothering us. If we can help a mother and child, that is all we need to do," he stated and gave her a nod before he was off to entertain the small girl while he set up the small hut he and his sibling usually kept warm in.
His massive frame went over to a near by spot that was cleared, and he set the item down. He looked towards the child in his arms and he smiled. "I setting up teepee- it is big. You want to see how big?" he asked as he crouched down and gently set her on her feet. His hands were gently holding her tiny hands, and his eyes were twinkling.

I think I'm adorable but I'm not that attractive. especially to the gender I want to attract rip]
The image of Nikolai seemed to move around the porch, leaning against the railings and the posts before walking over to her. The ghost petted her hair and wrapped his arms around her, almost feeling the weight of the dead man. Sinopa's expression grew grim as her skin paled even more than its natural pigmentation and the trembling grew worse. To be hallucinating so this degree was a bad sign and she knew that. When Ezri was removed from her lap, she smiled until she was out of sight of her daughter before letting her arms give out. The woman next to her had been silent for a while but she needed someone to hear her and there was no one else. "If something happens to me because of this fever, take care of my baby. Please." She let her burning eyes close and she fell asleep soon after.
Ezri giggled when she was lifted up and held on tightly. "But I'm not tired," Ezri whined still giggling. Her second wind had kicked in and she was a bundle of energy. She faintly picked up on the words her mother uttered tiredly but she said nothing, only smiling like everyone said she should. "What's a teepee?" Ezri asked as she was set on the ground. She smiled happily at Borya as he held her hands and she hopped a bit closer to him so that she could hug him. As soon as she was out of the view of anyone she let her expression fall as it was painful to keep up. When she was back in view her expression would return however but she just wanted a break from being cheerful.

Agnes was thankful to be headed back to the farm already, but couldn't help keeping herself from sneaking glances toward Paisley, her eyes round and cautious, waiting for her to make even one move that seemed threatening. It was less of herself she worried about of course, as she more or less could deal with strangers (worse case scenario being to simply run from them), but with Isaac essentially using her as a crutch, most of her options were ruled out. Apart from the discomfort she was experiencing with the southerner, she'd also found herself increasingly conscientious of Isaac, wondering if perhaps after getting a look at by Riley (and hopefully a non-organic crutch) he'd hightail it away from the group and into... Who knows what. That was the disconnect: you couldn't protect someone who simply wasn't with you, and while Agnes had no real reason to be so concerned, she had personally taken it upon herself to keep him around; an unexplained yet undeniable bond she fiercely latched herself onto.
It was only about a dozen minutes or so that took the triad to reach the farm again- it's ware was obvious, strips of red paint torn from the epidermis of its barn, with glass, shingles, and planks of wood dotting the ground from the few other buildings held in the area. Ignoring the damage in favor of something she could personally control, Agnes came to a halt as soon as they reached the first non-overturned bench in sight and lowered Isaac onto it.
"P-paisley, right?" Agnes breathed, her voice stuttering for a second between pants, "there's a woman with pink hair around here... I think probably in her office. That building-" she nodded to the one on their right, her blue gaze tired and droopy as she looked to it. "Could you fetch her? Explain its an... Emergency, from Agnes. If she's not there we'll..." She pursed her lips and frowned, mulling over the many problems that would surely arise if someone as important as Riley went missing, "we'll figure something else out."
While Agnes could surely have chased down the former med student herself, she wasn't about to leave Paisley alone with Isaac (and leaving Isaac alone was just as bad honestly)- while the newcomer had never seen Riley before, there wasn't exactly anyone else around who could be described as having "pink hair", or at least not to that extent. Agnes glanced at Isaac next, and forced herself to give him a small smile, though it clearly wasn't genuine it had come from an honest attempt at making him feel better (a feat that was likely impossible considering their circumstances, his attitude, and her inability to connect). "Home." She explained, gesturing flippantly to the surrounding area.

Alyona
Alyona looked at Sinopa, giving a small nod to the woman. She blinked, brushing her black hair back and taking in a shaky breath. If only she could get some help. Her head lifted, sitting beside the older woman and holding her hand loosely. "Jamal... Could i maybe see one of the blankets if theres a spare?" She asked softly then, scooting herself so the stranger's head was in her lap and her free hand was stretched out to grasp for requested item.
Sinopa must be hungry, that much Alyona knew. It was a good thing she brought some spare food with her from earlier when she grabbed Ezri her sandwich. Her head tilted, fingers tucking back strands of hair behind her ear as she did so.
Borya
Borya smiled, face gently pressing to her tiny neck as he held her in the hug for that brief moment. It was weird almost, to take care of someone so young once again. When his mother died in the hospital, he immediately assumed the parental figure his little sister needed, as their father worked 2nd and 3rd shift constantly. Looking at Ezri, the massive man soon stood up and picked up the long hide wrapped poles. "I will show you," he promised then, unwrapping the poled, and then setting it up.
It didnt take long, as he had done this many of times before hand. He had tied the poled at the top, stretched and tyed the hide to the poles that went out in a cone shape, and gently pushed the flap open. "Here," he rumbled as he gestured into it. He had already set up a couple beds, which outstretched in the farthest side and was laced with warm and really fuzzy fur. He led Ezri inside, setting her down on his massive bed and turned to make a little hole for a makeshift firepit.
The top was open, and it begun to warm the cool air around them as Borya fed the fire small twigs. "It'll warming here- you can sleep now," he told the small girl.

The top was open, and it begun to warm the cool air around them as Borya fed the fire small twigs. "It'll warming here- you can sleep now," he told the small girl.Ezri felt guilty for taking that moment to let herself relax. The smile was so fake but it seemed to make the adults happy and she knew that was important. She's seen the blood dripping down her mother's arms from where she hurt herself. Even as a child, she knew what can happen when sadness settles in. It was awful what people would do when sad and Ezri was beginning to understand it. Even as someone so young, Ezri understood why people did what they did. She understood why her mother spoke to the moon at night out of loneliness and why her father stayed behind to fight off the animals that threatened their lives. Most of all, Ezri understood love after all her mother went through to get her here and that's why Ezri needed to smile and be happy. It was because of that she wanted to smile. Watching Borya put together the teepee, the small child focused intently on the actions. Every so often, she would stand in order to get a better look or she would move closer. When he motioned for her to enter the construction, Ezri hesitantly stepped inside and her eyes widened at the interior. The bed she was set on was soft and warm and fuzzy. She petted the fur and giggled at the feeling of it. When he began to make the pit, Ezri watched with curiosity. It was strange how he knew to do this, where did he learn? The fire was warm though and she nodded at the suggestion to sleep. She curled up on the bed and closed her eyes, drifting off slowly.

hi maple! :3 its okay, not a lot of people have been on lately for some reason, idk why???
Borya
Borya shifted his weight, leaning more on one leg and the other extending. Listening to her soft snores, his green eyes slowly and lazily lifted up to stare out of the teepee, his lips pursing as he opted to stand up and move around without knocking the fire down. His muscles flexed up and down his arms, his fingers delicately tracing over the fur as he prepared Ezri in a comfortable setting. He gently propped her head onto an equally soft pillow, and covered her with the warm fur before sitting beside the bed. He was going to remain there in case she needed anything at all, which resulted in the large man laying on the ground.
his massive frame was like a large guard dog at her feet, his eyes staring into the fire and shoulder blades pulled to reveal the long spine of his. His silvery-blonde locks were now smooth, and somehow naturally placed back into its proper look. His back was unblemished, and a smooth pale hue. Muscle lines formed a V down the small of his back, and his hips were at a diagonal shape as he was lying on his side. He blinked evergreen hues, shifting slightly as he was aware of Devoss enter.
"Seems like Sinopa and Ezri survived the way from the hospital. I'm surprised. However, I'm curious as to what happened to her father," the man muttered as he sat beside the entrance and blinked at the large Russian.
Borya simply grunted, his chest rumbling softly as he slowly looked at Devoss. "Who knows. As far as I'm concerned, Ezri is mine; I'll take care of her as I took care of Alyona. There's nothing to change that, not even Arlo and Ghost," he stated bitterly as he rolled onto his chest and chin braced onto his folded forearms.

It was darker- to say the least that the sun was now setting on the horizon as it gently kissed the land. Borya had made a warm fire to keep bugs away, and to keep the teepee warm as he closed the flap from it getting any cooler. He was lying at the end of the bed, Sinopa having been moved so she was warm and comfortable inside the teepee.
His evergreen eyes were staring into the fire as he laid in silence, still shirtless mind you, and giving a small yawn. Alyona was taking a sore nap beside Ezri, as the female herself was wounded. The large russian soon laid there on his back, yawning quietly as the warm amber light flicked soft shadows over them and its smoke flying out of the top. Borya was exhausted, and his large palms gently rubbed his eyes as he finally sighed to himself. Maybe taking care of Ezri would awaken his fatherly side again. He needed to use it more often
