Clayton noticed the dog fell fast asleep as he started filling out paper work and handed over the money. Once he finished that though, Madison was his to take home. He pulled on her leash a little to awaken her as he moved towards the entrance. Clayton whistled a few times to get her attention as well. "Ready to go home?" He asked.

Mackenzie looked appalled by his question. Why did she shoot at him? How about the other way around? He started shooting first, and how was she supposed to know it was at the walkers? When someone shoots in your general area, your defense mode kicks in. "Did you ever think about what might happen when you shoot near a stranger?" She muttered under her breath. Mackenzie would have said it louder but there was no point in arguing with someone who had a gun directed at her.
Mackenzie raised an eyebrow and played with the knife in her hands. "We?" She asked, her voice carrying an edge to it.. Since when was it 'we'? He nearly killed her shooting at the glass that kept back the walkers and now he wants her to help him? Who the hell did her for?
She still didn't feel bad about shooting him, she wasn't to blame for all of this. He was. Mackenzie would have been perfectly fine on her own but apparently someone had to come and ruin it for her. Which was typical. It seems that every time she had a lead on where her group was, something happened that wiped it from existence. She shouldn't expect any more than what she has been recieving from this hell hole.

I like a lot of anime. If you want to talk about some, don't be a stranger.

"Did you ever think about the situation before you started shootjng me? Like 'Hey this person is shooting at the huge horde of zombies that are about to break down this layer of glass, the only thing keeping them from me, maybe they're trying to help.'" Seyla said in a deeply sarcastic tone.
He walked around the top floor looking out all the windows in search of a way out. He came across one window that had a ladder leading to the ground with only about two or three walkers around it. "Hey, over here, there's a ladder leading down to the ground!" Seyla said. He ran over to his bags, throwing his sniper rifle over his shoulder, the back pack over his back and the axe in his hand. "Do you mind grabbing my rolling bag?" He questioned beckoning to the ridiculously heavy back that carried his ammo, food, medicine, and water.
With that, he tore the white shirt from before in half and tried to tie it around his wound. "Do you mind tying this for me?" Seyla asked, his warm green eyes leaving an inviting look.

Mackenzie had a retort on the tip of her tongue but kept her mouth shut. Sometimes she says too much when she needs to be silent. Her mother used to scold her about 'her and her big mouth'. It's funny how she has still held onto things like that in spite of everything around her.
She clenched her jaw, but tucked away her knife. There was obviously no getting our of this mess. She has to do what he said while this man was armed. Mackenzie picked up his heavy bag and slung it over her shoulder. She tried to act like it wasn't all that much for her to carry, but that will soon show when they have to go down the ladder and the bag weighs her down.
She hesitantly tied up his wound with the shirt, making sure it was tight so the blood would stop oozing out. "What do you plan to do about the walkers on the bottom? Unless you planned to use me as bait." So much for keeping her mouth shut. She spoke in a very irritable tone and narrowed her eyes after she finished with the wound.

Mackenzie saw his nod but she didn't acknowledge it, she merely watched as she moved around the room. To his axe, then the door, and then down the ladder. She of course checked first that he did actually kill the walkers before heading down the ladder. She made it just in time, because she could hear the moans and growls of the dead from the floor below her.
As she moved down the ladder, her gaze flickered from the walkers trying to reach her from the window and the man on the ground. When she was a few rungs from the ground she dropped the bag, trying to lighten her load some, and then swiftly picked it back up when she reached the bottom. Mackenzie didn't wait for him though, she continued walking away from that part of town, expecting him to follow. The walkers, she noticed when she looked behind her, tried to follow after them and slowly, one by one, they fell to the ground. Their skulls were bashed open while some lost arms or legs from the impact. "Let's go." She told him, picking up her pace some more as a few walkers started coming around He building. Attempting to follow them.

Mackenzie didn't stop or look at him as the man talked to her. She just kept walking at the same pace. "I'm fine." She spoke in a very monotone voice, sounding indifferent to the circumstances. Mackenzie adjusted the strap on her shoulder as she walked and continued to look forward, "my name? Mackenzie. Mackenzie Burton." She turned her head just a bit towards him, "and you?" But promptly after asking the question she turned down a different road. She had a vague idea where she was going, and this man would find out soon enough.

Madison let out a bark, getting to her paws. Yes! I am ready to go home! Her tail wagged excitedly as her tongue lolled, forming a trail of saliva that followed her back outside into the raging Texas heat. She was beyond happy the be out of that place. The not knowing of when one would ever see the other side of the yard again, if today would be your last day... Madison stayed close to the young man as they walked out to his car. She sat down, patiently waiting for him to unlock the door. She hoped he was the cool guy who'd let her ride shot gun.

"I suppose it's nice to meet you too." Mackenzie rolled her shoulder back, almost in a shrug, to nonverbally tell him she didn't want any water. Seyla was a name she hadn't heard before. It was interesting she had to admit, although she wouldn't say it out loud. "Yes I know where we're going. And off the main road is the intention. Places that used to be more populated will have more of the dead." She spoke the last sentence quite bluntly, as it was common sense. Seyla should hopefully understand that by now, if not, he was going to come closer to death than a bullet graze.

Then why don't you take your bag and be on your way? Mackenzie thought in an irritable fashion. Her face did not show her thoughts on the contrary. She could tell Seyla was getting tired of her attitude, but right now, she was sick of tracking her group. She was hellbent on going this way, because this way was where she found hee last clue: her little sister's doll. Mackenzie could feel bad about her attitude problem later, she needed to start tracking again and eat. When you don't eat in nearly three days, you get hungry. It was like those stupid Snickers commercials, 'You're not you when you're hungry.' Mackenzie halted for a moment, but didn't face Seyla, "The main road won't take us directly out of town. It would take us to Pueblo, a bigger city." She continued on her trail again, "As of now, I'm killing two birds with one stone: saving our a**** and checking up on something."

Mackenzie had to admit that Snickers bar looked delicious, anything did at this point. But she wouldn't take it, "I haven't eaten in nearly three days, a candy bar will do nothing for me." She new he was attempting to lighten up the mood, but Mackenzie was not having it. She wanted an actual meal, not candy and a joke. She turned walked off of the road and into the more grassy arid area that made up the Pueblo region. The grasses by the road were short, but those would soon get taller. "And you can't help me with this. It's nothing that would interest you anyway." Since when would anyone else be interested in her group? They had supplies yes, but they moved around too often for other groups to start making threats or forcing trades between them.

Food sounded good, and Mackenzie was ready to drop everything and start eating again, but she held herself back. Now was not the time to start eating, she has things to do, and eating would just waste daylight. She eat before she heads to bed. Wherever that may be. "Thanks." She said simply before turning the subject back to tracking. "That's just the thing though. I don't know where they were last." She said in a slightly impatient tone.

Mackenzie took the water canteen from him and drank about half of what was left. She didn't think Seyla would let her get away with a 'no'. Mackenzie knew she wouldn't be of any use without the water, the only reason she hasn't drank any was because she ran out yesterday and hasn't had the opportunity to search for more. Boiling water took too much time too, and time was of the essence. "I saw them two weeks ago. I was with about three others on a run into Pueblo." She tried to stay somewhat vague, it wasn't really any of Seyla's business unless he cared enough to ask.

Mackenzie didn't acknowledge what he said about the water. She would be fine, after all, she can finish it later. Right now while they walked wasn't the best time to chug what was left of it. "No. We were in the outskirts of Pueblo, our run just went farther in." Mackenzie adjusted the strap again, As her whole arm was feeling slightly numb from carrying all of his stuff. "I've already checked where I last saw them, I've been following their trail." He didn't seem to understand that she had a brain of her own. That obviously she checked where they last were. Her group, of course, didn't want to wait considering it was likely she would have died in Pueblo anyhow.
