Things had started going wrong weeks ago. At least, that's when PJ had realised that things were going wrong. And they certainly had. So wrong, in fact, that the six of them were currently in the middle of a forest, miles away from civilisation. The Company had warned them that this would happen - and threatened them with what they'd be faced with if they ever revealed themselves to the public - but they'd been unconscious when it happened. Some sort of sleeping gas, if PJ had to guess. They probably didn't want the six of them fighting back, not when they were like this.
PJ was becoming aware slowly. Of her own thoughts first, and then gradually of their surroundings. It wasn't impressive really. The trees were bare but the ground was, thankfully, free of snow. She was still wearing the uncomfortable jumpsuit from the Company, and they'd even been left with a bag of provisions. Enough to survive the trek to the nearest town, but probably not much more.
She forced herself into a seated position, leaning back against the nearest tree trunk. She tried to figure out what they were doing, what they were expected to do, trying to hold back the panic that would set in the moment she stopped planning.

Kendra Forest | 22 | Female | Bisexual Reality Alteration : Ability to permanently warp reality; can will things in or out of existence, or change them in some way- thus permanently altering the current reality. Metathesiophobia : the fear of change. The first thing about herself Kendra would change (if she wasn't so afraid of change) would be her height. Sure, she's not a giant, and there's no way she sticks out of the crowd for it, standing at only five foot eight, but she hates towering over her shorter friends. Plus, it makes her paranoid- the taller she is, the easier she is to spot. Thankfully, the rest of her features don't attract any attention, no scars, no mysterious tattoos. Just a black-haired, green-eyed, dark-skinned twenty one year old, with a somewhat larger nose and a lanky frame of someone who doesn't look like they eat enough. Not ugly, but just enough under the scale of attractiveness she doesn't get unwanted attention. If she cleaned up a little, maybe that wouldn't be the case, but beauty contests are the last thing on her mind at this point. One would think that because she doesn't enjoy her height she would be constantly hunched over, but Kendra walks with her head held high in a kind of quiet confidence that is just intimidating enough so that random people won't bug her. It was useful even before the experiment, and now it would just serve to warn strangers to stay away. Her hair is naturally curly, and it's a pain to brush, but she still takes the time to do it. It just makes her feel better when she looks neatly put together- it gives off the illusion that she knows what she's doing. On the surface, there isn't a lot to Kendra more than just being the dead-panned, ultimate face of calm for the team. She's intelligent, a quick thinker, and always has about five backup plans churning in her brain. She acts as their rock. Even in the lab, she was someone to depend on. It's not that she's a natural maternal figure- more like an older sister, offering advice and smackdowns to those who dare cross her siblings. She can keep her head clear when the others are scared out of their wits, something that everyone needs given the circumstances. But it's not like Kendra isn't scared too. Her ability is incredibly powerful, and absolutely the last thing she wants. But she realizes that she's not alone in that situation. If she can learn how to control it, and the team needs her to change something, she'll try to do it. They'll just have no one else to blame when she has nightmares and panic attacks for days. Does this make her probably the one who bottles up the most emotion? Definitely. To keep this calm, this collected, every shred of self doubt she has about anything needs to get shut away. Kendra, for one, doesn't like doing it. She'd much rather be open with her friends, but she realizes she doesn't have the time. "But Kendra," you say, "couldn't you just make the time by shoving reality backwards?" In theory. But there's only so far Kendra can go for her teammates when it comes to her powers. And she's scared of how long she can last. Like a few of the others, Kendra didn't have a very stable childhood. Her parents died in a car crash when she was five. She was passed around from family member to family member, and each time she started to get comfortable, something would come up- her grandparents got too old to take care of her, her aunt couldn't afford to take care of her anymore, things like that. At seven, she ended up with her godparents, which were some of her happiest years. They loved her deeply, just as her parents did- but their marriage was starting to fall apart. At eight, they got a divorce, and the court didn't know what to do with the child- technically, she wasn't adopted, and the godparents had no records that stated she should be living with them. She was sent into the foster care system, only to be tossed around and around again. Not many of the families that she ended up with wanted her at all. When she was sixteen, she finally found a real family. She was adopted, for real this time, and she ended up living safely, comfortably, and happily for the next few years. But there was still some part of her that thought it was too good to be true. Kendra's entire life was constantly changing- she couldn't, wouldn't, let that happen again. Those safe years were still more than enough to perpetrate her fear of change. After she graduated high school, she forced herself to commute to the local community college. Naturally, Kendra couldn't pick a major- she was a fantastic student, but she couldn't allow herself to be tied down to something, to change. She finally joined the experiment in a desperate attempt to get her life back on track- she couldn't live with her parents forever, and she wouldn't have a career if she couldn't allow herself to change. But we all know how that turned out.

(Sorry it's on the short side, I'm on mobile.)
Kendra was never a heavy sleeper, so when she woke up groggy and confused, with cricks in her neck like she hadn't moved in hours, she was more than a little confused. No, not confused. More curious. How long was she out? And where was she now? She may have been groggy, but it was easy to feel the dirt under her fingers and taste the clean air on her toungue. Slowly, she sat up and took a survey of her surroundings.
Once the fog in her head cleared, she could feel the cold feeling of panic flood through her. Everything was different, and it took everything within her to stop her hands from shaking. The only signs of her fear was her eyes darting back and forth and her teeth knawing on her bottom lip. Stop, stop, we knew this was going to happen. I've been prepping for this for weeks. Breath. she told herself. Kendra got to her feet, eyeing each of her companions. Her gaze finally landed on PJ. Seeing that she was awake as well, Kendra forced her face back into the neutral mask she had worn in the lab. "Morning."
Only then Kendra turned to the supplies they had been left. Interesting. They didn't want them dead. Yet. "Are you hurt?" Kendra turned back to PJ, deciding it was best to get on the same page as her friend before immediately jumping start to planning.

PJ could see the panic in Kendra, even if just for a brief moment, and she was afraid she understood it perfectly. Kendra would probably have it worse, her phobia dealt with change, but the essence was the same in them both. She took a breath, settling the anxiety threatening to take over her mind, then nodded.
"I'm sore, but not hurt, no. Are you?" she looked the other girl up and down, searching for any obvious wounds, then returned to looking at the pack. The Company didn't want them dead, just gone, and she feared to think why that was. She wouldn't be surprised if they were being constantly watched. They'd have to be for the Company to go through with their threats.
The panic was returning. No, she could do this. She forced herself to sit still, taking slow breaths. She'd be fine. They were being kept alive. For the moment, at least, they'd be fine. All of them would make it out of this without a problem. They'd be fine. "Are the others, do you think?" She couldn't see anything wrong with them, but they were still out.

"No, I don't think so. They don't look it, and I don't think they want us hurt right now." She nodded back to the supply bag. Kendra didn't know what their angle was, but it felt better to immerse herself in planning than to acknowledge the new enviorment. Not many supplies, but it could last until they found shelter. Kendra didn't think the Company wanted them to camp out in the woods for the rest of their lives, so that meant sticking together to make it to a town. To hide who they were and return to 'normal life'.
Would they all be working together? Kendra hated to admit it, but if she lost her five companions now... No, she couldn't think about that right now. PJ was probably just as scared as her, and Kendra working herself into a frenzy wouldn't help either of them. Stay focused. Plan.
"We have a few options here. Are you up for brainstorming, or do you want to wait until the others get up?" It was also better to focus more on helping PJ than helping herself. Waiting patiently, Kendra busied herself with getting a few dry leaves out from her hair.

okay..I'll make a character just in case ) Josephine Johnson "JJ" | age 21 | female | straight Hydrokinesis: the psychic ability to manipulate the properties of water. Aquaphobia: the persistent, unwarranted and irrational fear of water. JJ stands at an average height of 5'5" with a slender build, her skin slightly pale with light freckles dusted over her nose and cheeks. Her auburn hair is almost always pulled back, small baby hairs always escaping and framing her slender face. When she lets it down, it reaches her lower back. She has bright green eyes and long eyelashes, her eyes very observant and kind. She has a small scar going through her right eyebrow from a car crash that killed her older sister. Looking at her, one would never expect it to be so deep and powerful, the only time it ever breaks is when she's scared, then it is shakey and an octave higher than normal. When she's nervous, she tends to ramble and even share a random useless fact or statistic with whoever is closest. JJ tends to stand tall, refusing to show any sign of weakness. She is very self-conscious of her smile, but if you can make her smile, it's breathtaking. JJ is a kind, affectionate girl who tends to be too wise and mature for such a young age. She tries to be optimistic at times although she's also a realist. Although funny and outgoing, at first she is guarded, having gone through strong trauma at a young age. But once you gain her trust, she'll stay by your side until the end. She's a lover and a fighter and is driven and stubborn. She is very thoughtful of others, going out of her way to make others comfortable; its she least she can do. With her parents out of the picture, JJ was raised by her older sister until one fateful day when they were on a drive. It was Josie's birthday and they were going to the movies. JJ herself has just turned eighteen but couldn't imagine leaving her sister. They were crossing a bridge covered in ice when the car lost control and flew off of the bridge, crashing into the frozen lake. Her sister died on impact and as the car sank, it filled with water. JJ managed to escape the car and pull herself onto the riverbank. She was found hours later, suffering from hypothermia where she was treated for over a week. When she finally came to, she realized she had no one left. For months she was bullied after it was made known her new fear of water and was often teased, driving her to blindly sign up for the experiments.

Groaning, JJ slowly pushed herself up into a seated position, gasping for air before pushing herself to her feet and pacing. She had dreamt about it again; the car crash, the water everywhere. Hyperventilating, she looked around helplessly and began muttering calming things to herself. Running a shaking hand through her hair, she loosened the twigs and leaves that had managed to get tangled into her frizzy hair. "W-where are we?" She managed to sputter, fiddling with her hands as she tried to catch her breath.
