Igneel sighed and nodded. "Yes, sir..." He murmured groggily. He then whined as another headache racked his head. "Uuuhhh My head hurts." He murmured softly as he looked up at his mentor, silently asking for some remedy for his pain.

"I don't in fact I'm kind of glad." Bane said in a happy tone. He could do with a friendly chat for a bit. "So anything new with you or seen anything cool"?

Hawkeyes258Yaukhsha smiled brightly, happy that Bane was okay with her company. When he asked, she answered "I don't know if it's necessarily cool, but I saw some Bone Folk. They were actually very close, now that I think about it." They were only attracted to areas with lots of death. Or where they knew their creator, Enjen, had been. @tobster100 Yhatsha had something brought over for Igneel, the headache anyway. It was a pile of smelly leaves that would drive it all away. After, he asked "I can only notice the headache. What else hurts?"

Sure! )
No matter how hard she tried, Ula could not revive the squirrel in front of her. She blew one more breath of energy upon the squirrel's fur in a last stitch effort. When it did move or breath or do anything except be dead, the wolf gave up. Frustrated, she stomped all the way back to camp, plants springing to life in her wake. Why was it that she could create plant life, but not animal life? Or even revive an animal? It frustrated her to no end. Wasn't that her power? Wasn't she bless with the power over life in general? Ankhen didn't choose her so she could save plants! She had to figure this out for thre sake of all wolves everywhere. She couldn't fail; it was simply too important.
"Oh dear..." the whisper was faint, morbid, and otherworldly. Ula whipped around to see if she could catch a glimpse of the soul. Off in the distance, a dim image of a female wolf invaded her line of sight, "This isn't my forest. Where am I? Fai? Where are you? Fai?!" The spirit wolf sprinted away from where Ula was standing and before she could even speak, the figure was gone.
Ula breathed out quietly, ears going back and shame making her hot. She let the spirit go. She stood rigid for a few minutes and then slowly made her way back to camp, all the while kicking herself in the tail, "Good job, Ula. Ankhen's real glad he picked you now."

Igneel tried to move to eat the herbs then yipped in pain and growled, falling back down. "My side, my back, and my left forepaw." He replied, then tried to stretch his neck out to eat the herbs so at least his headache would subside. "I wish I could heal myself." He muttered. ((That's another thing, as of now he can only heal others, not himself))

"Never seen Bone Folk before." Bane said. He had heard about them but had never seen one for himself. "Once I saw a really look looking bird flying overhead."

Hawkeyes258"If it had two heads, it was a Thunderbird," Yhatsha told Bane "Lucky you, because I've never seen one." Looking around, an ear flicked before she continued "I would suggest we go take a walk to look around, but by the chaos I've been hearing, it wouldn't be safe." She'd seen Onsha and Igneel brought in, heard what had happened to Lilith. Tilting her head, she asked "I heard it was Wights that attacked them. Have you ever seen one?" @tobster100 "We're getting you help for the pain," Yhatsha told Igneel "But don't get too used to it. You'll be curing yourself in no time, I bet." He managed a small smile as more herbs were brought to Igneel. They'd all need the young wolf soon. Leaves and berries didn't always work to heal. @shootforthestars (Sorry for short reply. Tell me if you want me posting more) A voice then spoke "Distressed...?" Then, something was scooted out of the bushes to Ula. That same squirrel, which ran past the wolf. Bushes rustled nearby, and a single blue eye appeared, shadows hiding any other part of the body. It spoke again "Why... alone...?" The eye shifted a little, as if its host was tilting its head. "Very dangerous to be alone..."

Igneel huffed softly. "Maybe I should become a healer instead of a fighter." He said with an obvious tone of jest. He then laughed and ingested the herbs and he sighed softly. "Hopefully this won't take too long." He said as he laid his head back down.

"It'll take as long as it needs," Yhatsha told Igneel "You're done for now, and your new task is to rest up." The others would work to get Lilith back. Looking down at him again, the older wolf said "You'll get your chance to bash all the Wights you want, eventually."

Igneel nodded and sighed softly. "Alright, I'll try to rest." He said as he curled up and winced a little bit. The medicine was beginning to kick in but it still hurt. He was soon in a fitful sleep, having dreams about what happened and lots of other dangers.

Bane nodded his head and moves a little closer to her. "Saw one when I had wandered to far from camp as a pup. It was huge and smelled awful." He said wrinkling his nose at the thought of it. "Scariest thing was it didn't have any eyes!"

@tobster100 Something pulled Igneel from his nightmares. In a blink, he was sitting by a clear, oasis-like pond, surrounded by plentiful plants and animals. Sitting beside him, was a crusty, old, gray-furred wolf. The wolf didn't look at Igneel, his milky white orbs trained on the water, watching the fish swim around lazily. Finally, the new wolf asked, still without looking "What is more important: the head or the body?"

"Scariest thing was it didn't have any eyes!" "Sounds like my auntie," Yaukhsha decided thoughtfully "Aside from the no eyes part." Twitching her nose, she continued after "I wish I could've seen it, if I had backup with me too though." She smiled over at Bane, saying "They won't be scary to you when you're grown though, when you'll be real strong. I think it's awesome that you were chosen by Ankhen. Not everyone sees that though." Yeah, Bane was the new Reaper, but that didn't mean he was evil or anything. Or at least that's what Yaukhsha thought.

Igneel blinked and looked around for a few moments, getting used to his new surroundings. Upon hearing the old wolf speak he jumped a little and looked over at him. "What do you mean? They both are necessary in order for the full thing to function. Without the brain the body can't work, and without the body the brain won't have the necessary things it needs to function." He replied. "So they're both equally important, but both important at full standards, not two halves making one whole."

"But if the head does not house a sound mind, then the body will preform sane actions," the wolf said calmly "Or, if the body is not in prime condition, you are less likely to be successful in your choices." The gray lump expanded and contracted as it took a shaking breath, small plants growing around it as it exhaled. Even though it had no eyes, it blinked slowly, saying after "So, I repeat my question, young one." Watching as a Blood Bison slouched up, the wolf merely raised a paw and seemed to pet the large dome of a head in front of it, briefly looking away from the pond.

"Like I said before, both must be in top condition. The brain in sound condition, and the body in prime physical condition. These two together make it so that things can be accomplished. Neither one is more important than the other." He replied, staring in shock as the gray wolf-thing did all this.

"Being the new reaper is strange." Bane looks down for a moment before looking at her again. "It is kind of scary though. I have this untapped potential, and I don't want to let anyone down. Mean what happens if I can't control it?" He couldn't help, but worry about this type of stuff. Babe didn't want his powers to hurt the pack.

@tobster100 "I suppose it is safe to say you do not understand my question," the old wolf said simply "So, I will wait until you walk on mature paws to ask you again." Looking away from the bison after it lumbered off, the eyeless figure looked Igneel over with a neutral expression. Then, it spoke "You wonder why you're seeing what you are seeing. Why is that, may I ask?" From sitting, it shifted position to lay down, head on its paws as it looked up at Igneel now.

A violent shiver ran down Ula's spine and she turned slowly. When the squirrel darted past her feet, she jumped back in fright and disbelief, "That- that squirrel...." she lifted her furry head to the beast before her, eyes shinning with "tears", "that squirrel was dead." Her eyes narrowed in suspicion and, after the ibtial shock had worn off, her hackles rose in aggression, "What- no, who are you? How didn't you revive the squirrel like that?"
The 'tears' in her eyes started to fall in preparation for a confrontation and swirled around her feet delicately. Ula didn't know what this thing was, but if this was a Wight then no amount of water would save her. She would be overpowered and would die quickly. Then Ankhen would really think her a failure. And what would happen to the world without her? Maybe a new pup would just be choose not to take her place and she would be forgotten, erased from history altogether.
Ula shivered again, the 'tears' falling harder and faster and her bravado wanning at the thought of death. She slowly started to back away from the beast, "Just... leave me alone, ok?"

Igneel looked back at it, a bit unsure himself. "I am a bit unsure, but I guess because you have something to tell me? Are you one of the original Sentinels or someone here to give me a message?" he asked, sitting down and gazing back at the wolf in front of him. "But I am still very unsure." He replied as his fur fluffed out a bit.

She offered another smile to Bane, deciding "We'll all just have to wait and see though, right?"

The being inhaled deeply, and the plants around it died within heartbeats. Tilting its head, it decided "But yes, my first reason is to give you a message, more or less."

"The reason I do not fear death is because I know that even if I die, my pack will live onward. I may have a fear of death, but not as much as some. Plus, I also know that someone who can create things, as well as take them away, usually has a hoof purpose for visiting someone, not so much a benign one." He replied, looking at the wolf with solemn, determined eyes. "And once you tell me your message, I have something to ask of you as well.

(Oh okay x3 I was just making sure :3) "I am Milgirn," the hidden figure said "You are the Shepherd." At her next question, the eye moved again in probably another head tilt, answering "Penta keep secrets... I keep secrets... Squirrel is alive, and that's all that matters, hm?" The bushes rustled as a soft chuckle sounded out, the newcomer speaking "Leave alone... no... the Shepherd is too interesting..." Finally addressing that Ula was nervous, it spoke "... fears me... fears failure...but should not fear death now, no...." Then, a beak peeped from the bush, sleek and black, along with another blue eye to match the first one.

"If you so wish," the wolf said. Looking at Igneel, it's empty sockets started glowing a bright white. The light started taking up one's entire view. Before Igneel was sent back, the old being said "And before you, make note to come see me again, as an equal. We really must take more time to talk, perhaps over a shared prey." And then, Igneel was sent back to consciousness.
