Hiyani nodded slowly and leaned against her mate softly. "Yes I understand that but everyone deals with pain their own ways. Maybe she needs a close friend." She woofed.
Awan nodded and, despite seeing his son partially flatten his ears, he trotted away towards the exit of camp.

"We know, but it's hard for Manaba to discuss how she's feeling with others." Gale huffed, flattening his ears. "Eclipse is one of the wolves she trusts most but she doesn't even vent to her."
"I hate how growing up with loyalties doubted does that to some wolves." Eclipse whimpered, resting her head on her paws.
Russet headed back into the nursery to help Fir.

Hiyani nodded slowly. "Maybe the alphas should talk to her?"
Soon Awan trotted back in with a mouth full of moss.

Eclipse merely shrugged, giving a small, uncertain shake of her head.
Russet waved her tail briefly to beckon Awan over to where she and Fir were setting up the nest.

Hiyani sighed as well and looked at her paws while staying close to her mate.
Awan noticed her beckoning and he quickly trotted over.

After a little while the family finished building the nest. Russet gave a soft, contented huff as she carefully sniffed the edge and stepped in, sitting down.
Soon the small yet sturdy-built shape of Manaba stalked into camp, the black and silver she-wolf's pelt somewhat dirty from sleeping on dustyground instead of a clean nest. Her amber eyes seemed somewhat clouded with sleepiness, but as she padded past the prey pile and saw Gale and Eclipse watching her in concern she perked up her ears in an attempt to mask her mood, mumbling a quick "good morning" before trotting over to where a few other warriors were waiting in the usual spot close to the Alpha den where Kimi would announce patrols whenever she got up. (Insert one or two more of your charries here Tob? cx Thorn or Kyana maybe?)

Awan smiled and laid beside his mate and licked her happily.
Leaf and Alder were laying beside their mother, both females having swollen bellies and occasional whines.
Kyana was also there and watched as her sister padded over and she frowned. "Sis what happened? Are you okay?"

(Alder is half a moon away from being at full term, and Leaf is a full moon away cx Thought I'd let you know)
Russet's tail thumped against the edge of the nest. "I hope this litter is as easy to handle as Fir and his brothers were." She woofed softly, her golden-brown eyes sparkling with reminiscence as she thought of the laid-back little gentlemen Oak, Smoke, and Fir had been as toddler-pups. Fir blinked and looked over at his mother. "I thought I was always a coward?" He woofed, raising his brows in confusion. "Oh you're not cowardly, you're insecure. And that's okay." Russet corrected her scrawny son gently. "When you were newborn you were actually the most fidgety of the litter. Oak was pretty chill." Fir flattened his gray-tipped ears. "Oak was always chill." He muttered, casting a sad look down at his paws. Even after half a moon it still hurt for him to think of his stronger brother adventuring out there, likely well away from his family by now.
Hazel was slowly circling in her nest, her breath coming out in strained puffs. She had a bunch of excess energy to try to work off this morning, but it was difficult to do so since she had to stay in the nursery because the restlessness could mean her own pups would be on the way soon.
Manaba stopped and stiffened, pinning her ears back. "Nothing happened." She huffed, giving her coarse, mostly black pelt a shake. "It's always dirtier outside."

Awan chuckled at all the fond memories. "But we loved you then and we love you now. No matter what you were like, are like, or will be like, we will always love you and your siblings."
Alder frowned as she watched her mom. "Mom don't overdo it. You don't want the pups coming too early."

Fir twitched his ears in acknowledgement, blinking and stifling a soft whimper as Russet leaned over and gave him a gentle lick on the side of his head.
"Too early?" Hazel huffed, shaking her head irritably. "I'm due any day now!" Pinning her ears back, she added in an awkward mumble, "Sorry. Geez."

Awan chuckled as he watched his mate and son.
leaf rolled her eyes. "True but do you really want to be too tired when the time comes?"

(I... don't know where to start in terms of how much this saddens me. But for now I think we just need to process all this, sleep on it, and discuss what we can do about WP tomorrow or whenever we've got the time and patience for it. I've got a few ideas to keep WP going although we'll have to skip over the entire remainder of Blaze's plot.)

I know it's very sad... but Ness had t make her own choice and she has. But I think this should mean the end of WP because we can't do it with two people.))

(If we close WP then I'll probably have to leave the forums too, this is pretty much the only thing keeping me active these days. We could try reopening the RP to new joiners.
We're not gonna be able to finish the rest of Blaze's plot without Ness, and it wouldn't feel right to try to keep her charries around when she's not really there, so to keep going with WP we'll probably need to consider one of these two revamp ideas for a fresher start:
We could possibly skip a whole generation or two, introducing new characters descended from our current ones. In that case we could consider starting off with a clean, up-to-date new page and open it to new joiners. We could figure out which surviving charries of Blaze's plot could've paired up with which and figure out the great-grandpups of our current wolves that way, like maybe Claw became mates with Yoki or Robin, and stuff like that...
Another idea would to do a new RP page where it starts out not long after the time of Blaze's defeat, and select a few less important WP characters to have left the Pack for whatever reason(s) and end up forming a new Pack.
And if you want we could even start a whole new RP, I've got a few ideas jotted down on my phone... And with any of these options we could open them to more RPers.)

That's what I meant, close WP and make a new pack. This pack has a lot of background and such and I think that might be what is chasing people away))

(Oh ok phew! Yea, I can understand that. Although for a new RP I might bring along a few less known WP charries anyway... like they'd become part of the new group but their pasts would still involve WP, but kept vague and not heavily brought so it seems more like a quick, neat little early life story for a brand new OC than a transfer from a previous RP X'D I can probably do a new charrie or two as well tho, I've got a lot of unused ideas on my phone notes cx)

Yeah we'll see. What should we do for setting?))

For starters I'd kinda prefer to keep things more towards a slightly cooler taiga climate, or at least some place with a varied climate for each season. So maybe somewhere in the northern US, like in Minnesota or Idaho or perhaps south Canada would be nice unless you'd be cool with another Alaskan setting... maybe somewhere in the future territory there could be a nice big cave behind a waterfall and pond in a forested clearing? That would make for a nice scenic camp )

Yeah I think that would be cool, the cave behind the waterfall would be amazing as well. So should we start planning it out?]]

(Sure, there's hierarchy, the rest of the setting, characters, and a base plot we could plan on too.)

Alright so what are we doing for hierarchy?))

Post by ~Ƈαммι-`ღ´- on Aug 18, 2017 22:48:46 GMT -5
(Well, for the warriors I'm thinking maybe we can try sub-ranks based on each wolf's top skill, like Warriors for guarding and combat, Hunters for hunting, and Scouts for tracking scents, delivering messages, and keeping an eye out for trouble. And maybe an Omega rank too, for wolves under punishment *shrug*)

(Territory I guess?
An idea for this time around is maybe have a human campsite or small town or something near the territory? It would be interesting to have wolves interact with human occupied settings every now and then, and maybe some domestic dogs too ouo)

Sure and probably with a forest or maybe clearing or soemthign

(Yea, I'm imagining the territory to be forested with a few clearings and probably a river running through the area from the waterfall. Ooh, and maybe the mountainous area where the falls and cave are could serve as an outlook post with a nice view of the whole territory? :3 )

Sure that works. How close would the town be?))

|
Post by ~Ƈαммι-`ღ´- on Aug 20, 2017 11:54:57 GMT -5
(I'm thinking probably outside the territory but a day's trip away at the most, so close enough for the wolves to know of it, but the humans and dogs there normally leave the wildlife alone except for occasional encounters so they're rarely in any danger from each other. I just really like the idea of human and dog encounters cx )
