Introduction
Never-ending leaves and pines tower above you. Your heart pulses at the shrilling shriek of a critter over-head. You stop to try and find the source, looking at the skyscrapers that had you surrounded. Just hardly through the leafy dome, you make out the dark shades of orange swallowing the sky. Night-fall was soon. It would definitely be best to go find a makeshift-den for the night. As you advanced further, the grass became more and more crackly under-foot. It was becoming drier. Why was it that the further you went into the forest it was drier? Shouldn't it be the opposite? Is what you should've thought. But who would be focused on the condition of the grass at a time like this? Further you venture towards the tangled heart.
Suddenly, it's as if all the trees have fallen away. You are in a glade, and it's dark. You can't move, and you know time has shifted, its night. The glittering star-filled sky is nowhere to be found. Just smoke, smoke. You are choking on it. Your lungs are probably in pain now. What's going on? Luminous and bright, there was fire all around you. It ate the forest, gliding along with an intent of death.
It's fading. Everything's fading. Your head is dizzy and your sight is wavering. Your head lays down against a mossy pillow. Moss? You can feel yourself fading. But why? Starclan, this is so confusing.
When you awoke, you could hardly remember the dream. Yet, your heart was racing, and somewhere in the back of your mind it lingered nearby, like a fox who knew the best field to catch rabbits. You were in your den, in Umberclan camp. Your home. You recall an old story in the clan, about how your new forest used to reek of age until a harsh fire came through. You remember that in those times your ancestors fought among each other, until the fateful day their home died. In that rough time they banded together. That is how we were made.
