[[Ouch! Hope it gets better; hopefully you don't have to move around too much today ^^ ]]
The search for clues had been...interesting, to say the least. While T'Challa had opted to go out alone and try a route through the governments of the world, he couldn't uncover much under the curtain of secrecy. Of course, Scott offered to obtain whatever information was needed in a 'more informal' approach, but in the end the offer was put aside. Besides, it wouldn't be wise to get put back into The Raft, right? In the end, Clint offered that the team split up and cover more ground; and that would decrease anyone being found out. The leads were few, but with a greater spread, the investigation into such leads would be more efficient.
[[And aack, sorry it's so short x.x Not sure if that's okay]]

Wanda had gone with T'Challa's team, and after not much deliberation at all, Bucky had followed Natasha and Clint. The widow, the archer, and the ex-Russian assassin (the male one at least), were currently in New York, following up on the missing Tony Stark and the rest of their team. As they walked down the street, towards the tower, which for once wasn't lit up, Bucky peeped around the corner's of his hoodie at the outside world. They hadn't been sure that it had been the best idea for him to be out, but Natasha had sworn that she would keep him from killing anyone. "So, we're just popping in and out of the tower, right? No one's there?" Bucky asked after a moment, shivering as a gust of wind made its way through his hoodie. "Yeah, but I think Pepper might be around," Natasha replied. "Pepper?" "Tony's girlfriend. Well, ex-girlfriend. She says she's not there for them, but she was friends with a lot of the team too."

((Hey guys!! Ackkkkkk so sorry I haven't been on for two days DX apologies apologies apologies ((( been trying to build myself a new gaming PC XP Did I miss anything good? XP)) "Here, let me get one for you." Evangeline replied, rather lazily. I guess you could also call it a grumble, though she tried her best to sound enthusiastic. Sharing things is a pain. She thought to herself. But given that this time she was lending stuff to Sherlock Holmes, maybe she should let it slip. She got off her comfy computer chair and stood up, walking over to the bookshelf, on which the second shelf was just filled with her laptops. I say fill, but really the bookshelf wasn't that big. Still, there had to be around 5 laptops stacked nicely on there. Evangeline knelt down a bit and looked through her collection of 5 precious laptops. There was another one in her bag as well but she was too lazy to grab it. Out of convenience (laziness) she slid out the first one on top and turned towards Sherlock, who still sat quite bored there on his chair. "Here, catch." She tossed the laptop lightly over (it was a really light one) and hoped that Sherlock would catch it. He was sitting, and not that far away, so it should have been a safe throw. From the corner of her eye, she saw Dee flash her a look of annoyance. Ah of course. He hated it when she did that. One of Dee's laptops actually broke because she threw it across the room. Dee didn't catch it back then, you see.

"If she saw anything about the break in, then I'm sure that she'd tell someone, though." Clint, having kept silent on their trek, spoke little outside of quiet quips or agreeing grunts, but he seemed to be less reclusive once they touched down in the States again. "She may be slightly against the whole thing, but if it involves finding everyone, then we'll get out without a hitch." Clint didn't know Pepper that well, but he wouldn't blame her for being slightly iffy when she saw them. Besides, she had seen the brunt of Tony's many 'instances', so he had to commend her for that. Adjusting his cap, looked up at the tower with interest; the tint of his sunglasses lightening. "Hmm, the tower looks sad without the lights..."

[[ it's perfectly alright! and nothing much xD i was just chilling on the beach earlier. what's up with you, other than your computer? ]] Sherlock caught it with one hand, gripping the edge and setting it on his lap with a mumbled, "Thanks." He cracked it open, frowning at the password screen before trying a couple of things. Not moments later he was in, mainly because he had just tried variations upon Evangeline House with common numbers and ways of capitalization. It was HouseEva123, but he didn't think that anyone besides him cared. He opened the browser and typed quickly, beginning to search the person he had asked Mycroft about with one hand, and checking for texts from his big brother with the other. Nothing. He checked the Moriarty phone too. Nothing. "Any ideas on who our most likely candidate is, Miss House?"

Neither of them commented on the absence of lights as Natasha walked around the side path that led away from the front doors and to the 'team entrance.' She typed in her pass, let out a breath of relief as it wasn't immediately revoked, and stepped inside. There was nothing exciting right away, just an elevator, and that was what she headed towards, punching the only button, which was up, and stepping in as it immediately dinged, holding the door for the men behind her.

[[ Oh well xD I'll #Survive But we ended early because the whole class was confused lol]]
Clint made sure to watch behind him at regular intervals; wanting to affirm that they were not being watched or followed. It had been ages since he had even seen the tower, so he felt that he should at least be on his best. Besides, the prospect of being called out as 'The one with the best sight' when something went wrong always made him roll his eyes. However,he seemed to slacken slightly when the card was accepted; thanking someone out there silently for being nice for once. "Good thing that went swimmingly." He murmured, keeping his eyes in front of him as he saw the elevator open, before casting them upwards as he followed Nat inside.

((Hmm well nothing much lol going to be in Hong Kong this weekend XP Can't wait to go back to Vancouver though)) "Huh?" Evangeline was considering her own thoughts when Sherlock hit her with that question. For a moment her brain did not register what he had just said. She was busy being surprised at how Sherlock solved her password without her telling him what the password was. Granted, the password she set on that specific laptop was the easiest one. She forgot why exactly she did so, but it was probably because she was lazy. Still, she had to be impressed. "Mr Holmes was just asking you about the possible criminal candidate." Dee kindly repeated the question for her. He was definitely doing some research, she could tell. "So far nothing's coming out of what I can find." Evangeline sighed. "Right now we need to know where these people live, and if possible, we need to do some... Breaking in, if you know what I mean."If only Jacob can hurry up.Then, she heard something click on the front door of the house. Someone had slid in an envelope through the mail slot. Bingo.[[ nice xD i'm coming back from wrightsville beach today, and i'm super hype cause when i get into raleigh i'm going to pick up my ukulele <3 ]] "Yes, I know what you..." Sherlock trailed off as he heard the mail slot open then close with a soft click-click. He glanced around the room, blinking, and then saying after another moment, "I'll get it." He got up, putting the laptop on the chair before heading out of the room and jogging down the stairs, only remembering that he still had his heavy coat on then, as it got in his way. At the bottom he reached down, picking up the envelope and jiggling it in his hand to see if anything was inside. It was then that he felt his pocket buzz, and he reached in, pulling out not his phone, but Moriarty's. "Fetching the mail -JM?"What the hell? Sherlock yanked the door open with a fury, stepping outside and looking back and forth to (not all that surprisingly) find absolutely no one waiting out there. The street was desolate. He knew that Moriarty, or more likely one of his cronies, was up in one of the buildings. There was no use in looking though, so he slipped back inside, not bothering to answer the text as he put the phone in his pocket and headed up the stairs, into the office. "Here," he said, tossing the envelope at Evangeline like she'd tossed the laptop at him.

"Floor fifteen," Natasha informed, watching as he lazily pressed the button, the doors closed, and they started up. "How many floors are in this thing?" "With personal and business included, about forty-five." Bucky whistled, and about a minute later the doors opened to the floor that had served as the team's main hangout. It had a lounge of course, for relaxation, but also the main gym, Tony and Bruce's workshop, and a couple of bedrooms. "T'Challa said to look for anything out of place," she said simply, stepping out and onto the tiled floor.

((Wahhhhh you play the ukulele?? Omg that's so cool XD I've always wanted to either learn the ukulele or the guitar X3)) Before she caught the mail, Evangeline recognized that something was off when Sherlock suddenly yanked the door open after looking at the phone when it buzzed. From the looks of it, it was a message from Moriarty. Just the thought of it makes Evangeline feel uncomfortable, and perhaps a bit queasy. She considered asking what was actually up, but then decided against it. I'd rather not know unless he decides to talk about it.She took the envelope in her hands and leaned over her desk to get a letter opener, slicing the envelope open from the top. It was a message passed from one the lads in Jacob's gang: "Marcus Welt: 3708 Elm Street Quite a big house if you ask me, love. Good luck breaking in. -JF"Evangeline felt herself smile after finishing reading. Maybe it was because Jacob knew them detectives all too well. She nodded to Dee and passed the letter to Sherlock. This was going to be their first target, and they'd better get to work. Their eight hours was going to decrease even more if they didn't. Wait. But the moment she considered going out, she realized one thing. When's Doctor Watson coming back?Pretty sure he'd like to tag along too.

He could see in her face that it was bugging her, or maybe it was something else, but he didn't really care enough to ask. In fact, he pulled out his regular phone to check for messages from the man now. There were none, so he just texted simply: "Breaking into Marcus Welt's house. Need address? -SH."He knew that John, being the 'upstanding' and 'moral' man that he was, would never want to break into someone's house, but Sherlock was sure that he could violate his morals this one time without his sweet little head imploding.

"I don't know, I might sit this one out." Dee mumbled from behind his monitor. He suspected he was the only one feeling uneasy about breaking into other people's houses, especially when he was a lawyer. There had been this incident a long time ago, probably when he first started working with Evangeline, that they went uninvited to another person's house for investigation purposes. They didn't have a warrant or anything. The results weren't pretty. He would rather not think about that for now, but since then he had preferred to stay out of these situations. "Sit out or not, you can still prove yourself useful by keeping us in check on your computer." Evangeline approved his request. She also did acknowledge that whatever happened a few years ago was her fault, and it almost did cost Dee his career. Luckily, he was competent. And plus, they were lucky. Perhaps they were just lucky. So if Dee wanted to stay behind, it was understandable. "Will do." "So, Mr Holmes, shall we? We haven't got much time."

"Of course," Sherlock affirmed its a nod and a thin-lipped smile, turning and hurrying out of the room with his hands jammed in his coat pockets. Dee probably had a reason for not wanting to go, but Sherlock was confident that he, Evangeline, and possibly John were going to be fine. After all, he noticed everything, and Evangeline almost everything. He was better. "I'll bring a getaway car. -JW." Sherlock read the message with a small, genuine smile as he headed out the front door and put a thumb up for a cab without even looking up, waiting without a word as he texted back a simple: 3708 Elm Street. Getting a taxi. Meet you there. -SH." A cab pulled over, and he slipped into the back, giving the address as he waited for Evangeline.

"You'll be uh, fine on your own?" Evangeline was putting on her coat when she looked back at Dee, feeling a bit bad for ditching him behind. She was used to going out together investigating with Dee, but now that Sherlock was here, perhaps it would feel about the same. Sherlock was smart. And that was an understatement. They should be fine. "Don't worry about me, worry about yourself." Dee replied. "If you need anything, just text me, I have a computer in front of me anyways. And don't put too much pressure on that wound, you hear?" "Right." The wound was all forgotten before Dee had to bring it up again. Evangeline found herself pouting at that comment. What are you, my dad? She silently complained. "I won't be long." She slid her phone into her coat pocket and walked downstairs. "Hopefully!" She added as she walked out the door, giving Sherlock a nod of acknowledgement for waiting for her. Originally he probably would have taken off already.

Though some of those instances involved arguments, he could take away some good, clean tomfoolery away from it. The elevator dinged quietly, and Clint raised an eyebrow at the lack of noise. He couldn’t seem to place it for a moment, before realizing that the tower didn’t have the familiar voice of Tony’s AI. Perhaps FRIDAY had been switched off? “Look for anything out of place? Got it.” Nodding, his gaze swept around the room as he stepped out of the elevator. “I’ll go see if I can switch on the AI systems, because that seems odd to me; Tony likes his tech.”

Sherlock had mapped the route to their suspect's house on his phone, and it would take about twenty minutes to get there. That was twenty minute off of their already shortening time, but he tried not to let it worry him. They would get it. They always did. On the plus side, they didn't have to get on any major roads to get to the house, so they would be avoiding traffic. "John's going to meet us there," he said after a moment, figuring that she probably wanted to know.

She'd had to help him with all of them, and he always joked that that was one of the perks of having a friend ten years younger than him. She joked right back that he would barely be getting through missions if she wasn't there, and he definitely agreed.

"Good." Evangeline answered. She suspected the doctor would be rather alike Dee, and would choose to stay behind and out of trouble. Hmm, maybe the doctor and the detective were more close than she thought they were. Still, they needed all the help they can get. They were already wasting time traveling to the different houses, and all they could do now was to hurry up and do everything as quick as possible. Ugh, who would've thought that an interesting case would turn into something so... Difficult? Exasperation and fatigue was what she felt, but Sherlock didn't seem to be bothered at all by the situation and was as calm as he could ever be. Evangeline couldn't help but feel impressed. But that wasn't the first time that day that she felt it. "Say, Mr Holmes," Something prompted her to start on a topic, since they had some time before they would arrive anyways. "You have dealt with... Moriarty before." She paused, not sure if she should continue. But she did. "What was it like?"

[[ i'm trying xD well, also trying to get a job, and all that jazz. i somehow got roped into doing a neurology internship next summer in raleigh and i would be lying if i said i was excited .-. ]]
Sherlock looked over at her, surprised. It didn't show on his face. He was as neutral and... scrunched as ever as he just peered at her, trying out different explanations of what it had been like on his tongue. What it was like, apparently, since Moriarty was somehow not dead. "It's not a game," he finally said, leaning back, digging one shoulder into the leather of the seat and pressing the other into the glass and plastic of the door, "and it's not fun. Regular cases are fun, but with Moriarty they're not. Your friends and family could be put in danger, and you never know what's going to come next. He doesn't play by the rules. He doesn't want to play by the rules. So, we don't either. It's as simple as that." What he left unsaid was that it was bloody terrifying. He had almost lost John, Mrs. Hudson, Lestrade... he pretended to dislike all three of them, or at least be annoyed at them most of the time, but he knew that he wouldn't be able to do anything without them nudging him along. The idea of losing them was almost unthinkable.

((Oohhhh that actually sounds pretty cool XD but um I'm a biology fanatic so... .-. ))
He doesn't play by the rules. He doesn't want to play by the rules. So, we don't either. That statement may seem pretty simple, but it gave Evangeline a chill. She thoroughly understood the weight of the situation, however, after hearing what Sherlock had to say. He just seemed, more gloomy than usual. Maybe she shouldn't have brought up the topic. After all, it had been all over the news, there were reports everywhere about how the great detective committed suicide by jumping off a building. She still remembered the day she first saw it, and what she experienced was shock. Extreme shock. So that was why he had to do it. She reflected. What Sherlock had just mentioned, about how friends and family would be put in danger. He did it so he could save the people he loved, even though he may not act like he cared. "I'm... Sorry, that had to happen." For a moment she didn't know what to say. The atmosphere was made all weird because she asked that one question she wasn't supposed to have asked. "Actually, also that... It is maybe happening again." This doesn't seem reassuring at all, what are you doing Evangeline, say something else! "But um... We're all in this together." Why did I say that, that's like... The most clichéd expression ever... I should just shut up.

[[ i placed first in the freshmen class in bio this year xD the teacher's already roping me back into advanced bio senior year too. ]]
Sherlock raised one eyebrow at her, sighed, and then said as he gave the view outside of his window a glance, "Yes, Miss House. I suppose that we are, aren't we?" There was almost a dead silence in between the two for the next fifteen minutes, until they pulled up in front of a very large house. It was outside the city, sort of in the woods, but still with a good view of the whole sprawl. Sherlock paid the cabbie, telling him to go on and leave when he asked if he should wait. And he got out of the car, watching him pull off as he attempted to stretch his bum leg. For a moment he wondered how Evangeline was doing, but he didn't ask. Instead, he turned to the house and said: "Very good security system. Note the cameras on the gates and the roof, yes? However, the fence is not electrified... we should go around the back." And with that he was off, shoving his hands into his pockets, beginning to walk and trying not to let his limp show too much as he walked just out of what he assumed was the range of the cameras.

[[ i placed first in the freshmen class in bio this year xD the teacher's already roping me back into advanced bio senior year too. ]] Sherlock raised one eyebrow at her, sighed, and then said as he gave the view outside of his window a glance, "Yes, Miss House. ((Ohhhh niceeee :3 congrats! are you thinking of going into biology as a career though? I'm looking into going into medical school, sadly in Canada i have to take two years of general science first before I can even take the entrance exam -3- )) Evangeline silently thanked the silence that ensued their conversation. Well... If it was a conversation at all. She really was not an expert at such things, comforting people or just communication in general. Especially when Sherlock just seemed so superior. Sure they were both detectives and they all did a great job with their cases, but undeniably, Sherlock was so much better than her in so many ways. And now they're sort of "stuck together" working on the same case. She'd assume he'd be annoyed. He probably was. So when Sherlock stepped off the cab first, she was still spacing out. But she quickly regained her sense of her surroundings, following him out of the taxi. He was right, it was a heavily secured house, and in the middle of the woods too, with tall trees surrounding its entirety. The lights were all out, and the whole place felt empty. But it was an amazingly pretty house. No wonder people couldn't find this place, it was practically invisible if viewed from above. "Shouldn't we wait for Doctor Watson?" She called, watching Sherlock already stalking towards the back. Without waiting for an answer, she followed. At least the person doesn't seem to be home.

[[ i'm interested in neurology, so yes ^^ i think i'd have about a seven to eight year college experience if i decide to study that though. ]]
"No," Sherlock replied bluntly, "we always go around the back, he'll find a way in!" John was good at this sort of thing, but who knew how long it was going to take him to show up? Sherlock knew full well that there was no way that he was actually excited about breaking into a huge mansion (he never was), but he would be here eventually, since he'd said that he would be. He rounded the corner of the fence, ducking past the trees and weaving through them. The mansion was deep, not just wide. The windows were dark that he passed, so he figured that the owner was not home. There was no million dollar car in the driveway, where he would have assumed that it would be parked. He had to show off, yes? Yes. He glanced over his shoulder. Was Evangeline following yet? She could wait for John if she wanted. He was going in.

[[Hey everyone ^^ It's like 11pm here and I'm supposed to be getting sleep for tomorrow night Then again, I just finished braiding my hair so rip me xD I'll probably reply again sometime this weekend; since I'm at prom tonight and apparently that's a big deal whoops ]]
"Aw come on." Clint groaned, rolling his eyes for a long moment. "If you two could give me fifteen minutes then I'm sure I'll get somewhere." Considering he relied on the AI systems whenever he was living in the tower, it was going to be a very interesting venture to try and switch it on. Sure, it probably was a series of switches or voice-commands, but Clint never really needed a lot of those things to function. Call him archaic, but the simple things in life were like a comfortable skin around him; so the bells and whistles of new technology somewhat confused him. However, he could tip his hat off to the various upgrades on his gear. "I'm pretty sure I'll be fine. What the kids say now? 'On fleek'? Yes," Grinning, the archer twirled his hand in a circle and bowed mockingly. "I'll be on fleek with these systems."
[[And omg Biology is my jam xD I just wrote my last senior biology practical today, funny enough. I'm thinking of going into genetics as my undergrad, but I also got accepted for electro-mechanical engineering so idk xD ]]
