Emiko & Haruna | Bamboo TrailEmiko gave her sensei a toothy grin, immediately dropping low to the ground. Her dextral forepaw stretched out before her and her sinistral stayed gathered beside her. The bobtail kept her muscular legs bunched as well, her rump low to the ground as not to expose her colorful pelt. She snuck forwards a few times to demonstrate the movements that came with her position, looking up at Susumu once she finished. “How's that, sensei?” She chirped.Haruna, who had been reluctantly following Haruna the best she could, performed her crouch...a bit more awkwardly. Her musculature quivered with the weight she was putting on them, and her stubby tail was higher in the air. Feeling her ears growing hot, she sat back up, violet eyes glittering with jealously of how her twin was more skilled than she.
Takeshi, Arata, & Daisuke | Clan BordersThe patrols should be done by now. Takeshi peered about his surroundings, nodding patiently at a few cats who were making their way back to him.A foreign smell touched his nose, and he looked around again. He knew it was the scent of another clan, but he didn't know which one. Perhaps Sora and the other warriors could find something - or someone - on the other side.
Tarou | Healer's DenThe juvenescent minarai gave his teacher nothing more than a brief nod, instantaneously extending a bijou-concocted forepaw in front of each herb as he began to list them one by one. The process went by quite quickly, as he stored each epithet, each appearance, each redolence to his heart. "Keihi, gomishi, shisoyo, daio, rénshēn, bamboo..."
After a few more moments of naming the residuum of the verdure, the enumeration was finished off quite quickly. "...Marigold, and ginseng. Wehave them all, sensei. Besides the satonishiki cherries..."
Tarou's face brightened almost unnoticeably with his exiguous smile; he'd always had an fellow feeling for the saccharine damask flora since kittenhood. And now that fuyu was quickly evanescing away, the buds and corollas of the perennials were opening with time. But there would be time for feasting on the berries later on. "B-But we won't really need those until the festival," he added hastily, not wanting Izumi to think he was avid for those annuals solus.

Lady Akiko | NurseryNot having anything else to check up on, the leader decided to check up on the nursery. She expected a good number of new kittens this month, with coming of a new warsm season. The crying and squealing of small neonates made its way to Akiko's ears, and she fought back a smile. She had a strange liking for kittens, although she never had any of her own. Especially after...Shaking away the dark thought that threatened to spill, she focused her attention on Ikusei, the other females too busy to converse. "Ikusei," she greeted. About the PollSo as you all can see, I put a poll up for the Clan. I want to attract more joiners to the clan, but I need your input on what we can do as a team to make that happen.Less strict rules. Which rule(s) do you think need to be less demanding of new members?More interaction with the other clans (which I really want to do!). Should there be a patrol nearby? An intruder? A clan that wants an alliance?A better/faster plot. What do you want changed to the plot so it flows faster?I need YOUR input so we can work together to make this clan a great clan. Don't just tell me it's fine the way it is; tell me what you think we should do below! kiwi cheesecake flamerune Darktalon ᔕɿɱƿՆעᗰעς੮ע

Lady Akiko | Nursery The golden Siamese titled her head to the side, right ear twitching. "I am well," she said simply. "My psyche has been unstable during the past month...but I am trying my best to continue on."
Her whiskers twitched as she tilted her gaze to Isukei's abdomen, which was gravid with new lives that were to be born in the next month, maybe earlier. "We are expecting little warriors soon? Brand new lives to enter this beautiful world."

[ Umeko & Susumu | Bamboo Trail | Tags - - Emiko & Haruna ]
Larynx judders stipulated to a purr as the masculine vetted the impeccable attitude required for predating. A smile proceeded, labial creases curving to showcase an impressed orientation. Then, scapulae adjusting so that a reverential posture was procured, he articulated in a rather proud timbre,
“That, my dear apprentice, was splendid. You’re position was flawless. Keep that up and you’ll be our best hunter!”
When it came Haruna’s opportunity, the molly’s carriage was relatively… off. He’d envisaged a ne plus ultra of all crouches, though found himself descrying a snafu. Several nictates, then an interlude of disquiet - this was all the feminine had to proffer? Significantly niggled, cranium sloped simply when Umeko sprang up at him with an overabundant vivacious temperament. “Was that good, Susumu? Was it, was it?”
“U-uh, yeah. Emiko and you can leave. …Though, Haruna, a moment?”
Countenance betray nothing, though scintillates of irresolution coruscated now again within oculi, though they were solely ephemeral; brief, to put it simply.
[ Izumi | Healer's Lair | Tags - - Tarou ]
Assuaged, the lissome molly inclined beatific dome in an assenting fashion. Intricate oculars glistered, though that was the nearest a smile would come - after all, such a reminiscent feat typically took a toll on tyro’s. Tarou, however, seemed at ease with recollecting verdure denominations - it pleased her, to say the least. Proceeding the cognizance, pliable physique stooped, analyzing the senescent aggregation of bamboo, ones unlike the rampant, luscious annuals they had lugged to their residence a few hours prior. Nominating a select few, mammalian maxilla nudged them over to a heap already brimful of succulence; of course, firstly sweeping off any excess dust that had accumulated upon the surface of those chosen.
“Perhaps you would like to find some - these satonishiki cherries? I would remain here and finish tidying up.”
Plumed caudal twitched, aegeans inexplicably as she awaited a response.

Lady Akiko | NurseryThe daimyo's orange eyes softened, the closest thing to a smile she could muster. "I am sure it will be bearable, dearest," she muttered problematically, not knowing how the procedure went herself. "It may not be quite...easy-going, but the outcome is very worthwhile. You hold precious lives; make sure they grow to be strong." Emiko & Haruna | Bamboo Trail"Oh, thank you, Sumu-sensei!" Emiko's self-effacing smile grew wider, delighted that he found her technique worthwhile. Gaiety turquoise-violet eyes coruscating with her sensei's content plaudits, the Japanese bobtail tapped Umeko with a paw before skipping right into the trail. "C'mon, Ume! Let's go catch some goodies!"
Enviously watching her sib bounce away like a overly-excited cony, Haruna turned back to face Susumu, knowing that her performance wasn't quite as exceptional as her sister's. She stared up at him with defiant cerulean eyes, feeling slightly crestfallen.
"Yeah?" She snorted, short caudal thudding impatiently on the leaf-littered ground. Tarou | Healer's Den - BordersGreen-orange gradients blinked twice, in a semi-astounded fashion. Having permission from to venture from the encampment? On his own?
The fact was amazing, yet exciting to him, and he disgorged a, "R-Really?" Cognizant that the precipitate interjection could cause Izumi to change her mind, mayhap, the tyro gave his head a brisk shake. "Er...o-of course, ma'am! It shouldn't take me long! I will return soon."
With the hasty words undertaken, he took leave, rushing through and out of the lair; then into the clearing. He made an effort to move as quickly as possible, as seeing an apprentice - all the more a slightly older one - leaving solo was deemed parlous. Still, he kept his eyes straight ahead, approaching the towering torii gate in a second's time.ᔕɿɱƿՆעᗰעς੮ע , Darktalon , kiwi cheesecake , flamerune

EDIT: By this I mean the clans that are in the roleplay, NOT the other Fan Clans.

( So, the majority of you want more interaction with the other clans. How do you propose we do this? ) I don't know. I didn't think I'd get this far. Jk. Maybe we could ask around and look for clans who'd be interested in having bordering clans?

Dawnmoss ;; ( Well, that's not quite what I had in mind. :0 I meant interaction with the northern clans in the SakuraClan RP itself.
We couldn't really have a bordering Fan Clan, since the lore, territories, and time period is drastically different. For example, having a clan in a Japanese valley and a totally different clan somewhere in the Blue Ridge Mountains wouldn't really work out.
To be honest, I'm not quite sure if I can incorporate the other clans into this RP, but maybe the warriors find another border patrol from another clan roaming around?
I don't know... I might have to do a time skip, 'cause I'm thoroughly confused at the moment. :/ )

We can continue with the roleplay, but I honestly don't know if anyone is even interested in this Clan anymore. I'd be severely disappointed if everyone just left. )

( I don't know about all of you, but I'm very willing to continue on with this roleplay. But I haven't seen many of you being as active as you all once were on the old RP. The less active you are, the lower my interest will go when it comes to keeping this alive. I feel like this place is dying, and I don't want it to.
As for myself, I am sincerely sorry for being so inactive, but I've had a busy week. I'm willing to simply skip on over to the next day if enough people show true interest in it. But you need to tell me if you are. )

( Like this post once you've read it!
So now, we can finally do the timeskip to the second day before the festival. With this plot comes certain important sub-plot points. Please note that all of your cats must interact in this. They can’t stand around or go about their business as if nothing is going on.
The starter post is below! )
ᔕɿɱƿՆעᗰעς੮ע , Darktalon , Dawnmoss , Stormheart “My lady! My lady, please wake up!”Pushing open the sliding doors of Akiko’s temple, Daisuke raced inside the small room. His fur was sticking out everywhere, and his eyes were wild with urgency and fear. But Akiko, unhurried as she was roused from her sleep, had movements that were slow to move. Gracefully, she turned over on her other side and slowly raised her head to rise at Daisuke's eye level. Though the sun was not very high in the orange-pink sky yet, their shadows conjoined as if it were noon.Although Akiko always took forever to reply to any of her cats, a moment later he got his response. She had a level tone, although it was laced with slight worry as she eyed the shaken black tom before her. “Daisuke-san, what…? Whatever is the matter?”Daisuke closed his eyes and then glanced up, unable to look Akiko in the eyes. “A…Arata and I were inspecting the borders for a morning patrol, and…and I noticed that…” He swallowed, continuing. “I noticed that there was a strong blood scent in the air. It was so strong that I wanted to turn back just for fresh air. But…But when we followed it, eventually we saw…”Akiko narrowed her eyes, looking slightly impatient when he stopped speaking for a long moment. “What, Daisuke? Tell me.”“We saw…one of our soldiers lying there, dead. Right on the edge of the borders. All I saw was red, red everywhere. He had a great number of large wounds all over him; in fact, there was so much blood covering his fur that we couldn’t even identify who it was. We tried to get him to respond to us, but he...he died...before he could get his words out.”There came no immediate change to the warlord's expression or posture, simply stoic as the bad news was relayed to her attention. Only after the eerie silence that hung inside the temple swelled did her expression change - from attentive to horrified. Her muscles clenched in the tired effort of coming to her paws, an intimidating figure as her queenly form stood, even before the larger tom. Her voice was calm, no need for any true color, although the fear which she was trying to keep hidden leaked through.“But…who would do such a thing? Do you think it could be…?”Daisuke shook his head, knowing what Akiko was going to say. “I’m not sure, my lady. But underneath the reeking stench, I think…I think I may have smelled Oda cat scent.”“Oh, no… I'll report this to the Clan immediately.” Rushing past Daisuke, the leader promptly found the giant cherry tree that she always used to address the Clan. She hooked herself onto the tree, climbing until she found her branch, high above the campsite below. Calling out to her cats, she yowled loud enough for all to hear: "Cats of the Cherry Blossom Valley! Meet under the Great Tree for a clan meeting!” As cats began peeking out of their dens, Akiko impatiently drummed her paws on the rough branch, her heart thudding with apprehension. As soon as all cats were gathered, which took quite some time, she spoke again.
“Cats of SakuraClan,” she began her voice tight. “I have some...unfortunate news to report. While out on a border patrol, Arata and Daisuke found the mauled body of one of our samurai. They tried to identify the cat, but unfortunately, the body could not be recognized. There is a great chance that this was left as a warning to us, a cautionary injunction of a possible attack or invasion. Thus, for the safety of you all, I must execute some new laws.”
“Firstly, I will put four guards in the front of the camp, two for a night shift and two for a day shift. Those guards are to make sure no shady felines venture into our lands. Until I say otherwise, border patrols must be stocked with more warriors, as fewer numbers would be vulnerable in a skirmish. Secondly, no minarai, not even older ones, are permitted to leave camp without the supervision of a samurai or chief samurai. We cannot afford to put the young lives at risk.”
“Finally, elders, kittens, and mothers may not leave the camp grounds unless necessary, and they must be ushered by a warrior as well. Along with the border patrol, I will set up a nightly patrol along with the dawn, for safety measures. Also, I am considering allying with one of the northern clans, but we shall see about that in the near future. I will venture out to see one of them, but I'll share more details on that later.”She breathed in, her ears flattened with anxiety. But she didn't let her fear reach her expression. “Do we all understand this? Does anyone have any questions before we perform the funeral rite?”

About The Timeskip ( After a border inspection, a morning patrol reports to Lady Akiko that one of their samurai had been brutally murdered by an unknown Oda cat. They don't know why or who would do this, but they are still speculating. The cats are still preparing for the festival, but they are extremely cautious now. Border patrols are to be initiated as well.
Please note that all of your cats must take part in this, and appropriately, too. Obviously, a character witnessing a horrifying death is not going to be cheery and lighthearted about it. They will be scared and wary of their surroundings.
The dead cat is not going to be one of you guy's, as I'm sure no one wants their cats killed off yet lol. But if you want it to be, it can, just let me know. )

Tsuki's ice blue eyes burned with newfound rage. "My lady, if I may be so bold..." The chief samurai began, taking a few steps forward to stand directly below the warlord. "I believe we should find out who did this, and make them pay for what they've done. A noble and fine samurai has been murdered in cold blood, for no apparent reason. If I could lead an investigation at your blessing, I believe I can track down the killer, and make sure justice is brought out against the tyrant, and that no future deaths occur." The feminine looked up respectfully at her leader.

Hikari hid in the brush, eyes ablaze with fear. She could be next. The nervous feminine glanced around wildly. What could she do? Why was this happening? Her honey-colored pelt was bristled slightly, and her ears flattened against her head with anxiety. A deep, gnawing, put of terror filled her from the very core. Was anywhere safe now? She didn't know.

Lady Akiko | Clan Meeting The Siamese stared Tsuki down with a concentrated gaze. Find the culprit? Well, that wouldn't be a bad choice. If they could make an effort to do that, then maybe they could have an advantage at most. "Very good, Tsuki-san," the warlord noted, proud at the chief samurai's bravery. "That is a good decision, but I shall hold off on it until a subsequent time. We shall try and investigate the matter. Thank you." Peering around the council, she noticed that some cats were just about as anxious as the bitter smell of fear wafted up to her. Even her head tactician looked worried from where he stood.
Trying to keep her own composure intact, Akiko meowed out again, "Does any else have questions or concerns?"
Daisuke & Arata | Clearing As the two warriors carried back the body to the campsite, they could hear Akiko giving a meeting to her congregation about the incident that occurred that morning. Daisuke looked grim and crestfallen, while Arata was expressionless, the fur rising on his spine. The two males heaved the mutilated body from their backs, exchanging mournful glances. At Akiko's query, Daisuke shook his head wordlessly, his handsome expression contorted by anger. The only thing I'm concerned about right now is revenge.
Emiko & Haruna | Clan Meeting As all mornings, Emiko was a ball of sunshine, skipping happily and joyfully through the camp with boundless energy. But the few minutes or so later when Akiko called her cats to a meeting, she noticed how serious everyone looked. Where was the happiness? Why was everyone so tense? But then she saw why. The young bobtail glanced over at Arata and Daisuke, who were standing distraught in front of the lifeless body of another cat. The large toms blocked her view, but she could make out the jarring view of the mutilated cat's head, his jaws opened in a silent yowl of defeat.
Immediately, her cheery smile faded, and she looked at Haruna, then back to the corpse, confused. "H-Haru?" She questioned innocently. "What happened? Why's everyone so shaken up?" Her older sibling surveyed the situation, taking a few moments to understand what had happened from what little information she heard Akiko give out. Then, it occurred to Haruna: Emiko had never seen a death before.
Awkwardly, Haruna rubbed Emiko's back with a paw, looking up at Akiko. "I...uh, I think someone died," she stammered out, voice quiet, not at all aloof or arrogant as it usually was. "I didn't hear a lot of what the lady said, but I don't think it's good."
"O...Oh." She looked around the crowd, glad that everyone she knew was there. At least no one she was acquainted with died. But what happened? Did he get killed? By what or whom? Questions swam around in Emiko's small mind that desperately yearned to be answered, but she forced herself to keep quiet until the meeting came to an end.
( I'm thinking of making Tsuki the commander. c; )

(Really? That would be great! ) Tsuki bowed respectfully. "As you wish my lady, it has truly been an honor," she meowed, walking back to her original spot and taking a seat oncemore. The feminine turned her head to see the body of a fallen comrade. Revenge would be pursued for the poor soul, she would see to it. The body was covered in bruises and clawmarks of all sorts, making it appear like the barbarian that had destroyed the samurai' s life essence had tortured the cat a bit first. There was no honor in it, and this killer clearly was cunning and ruthless. She's have to keep her wits about her when the chase to catch the monster began. The murderer had no idea who he was dealing with, Tsuki was a formidable opponent in the battle field, one who knew and practiced of many formation and arts of war. The killer would be as good as dead, as that was how things worked. A life for a life, it was only fair, but nothing was fair about her clanmate' s death.

Ikusei - Camp Grounds
Ikusei shook from muzzle to tail tip after hearing the horrifying news. She instantly felt sick and feared for the lives of her unborn kits. Turning around as soon as the meeting was over, she pelted back to the nursery and had to stop herself from diving in. She padded, still shaking, into the nursery and sat down, back rigid. Terrified, she was unable to lay down and her eyes flitted, nervously, around the entrance. She lowered her head to get comfortable, but her eyes didn't stray from the light filtering into the nursery.
Ikusei awoke to see darkness all around her. After her eyes got used to the dim light, she blinked a couple of times and rose from her nest. Cautiously she padded into camp and looked around, all was quiet, but unusually, no cat was around, not even a guard at the entrance to the camp. Walking over to the fresh-kill pile, Ikusei, thought that she should get her strength up by eating some prey. Hering a slight scuffle, she turned around to be confronted by an extremely large tom cat with teeth flashing from his large jaws. She opened her mouth to yowl but no sound came out. Desperately she turned and tried to flee. She cold not run. The tom ran around to face her, blood spattered around his paws. Ikusei tried to make any sound that she could.... but failed. The tom struck out and hit her right in the stomach. She yowled out in pain, but this time heard herself.
Opening her eyes with a flash, Ikusei began panting with fear. She settled back down when she realised that it had been a terrible dream. But all of a sudden the terrible, excruciating pain returned. Her eyes dashed around looking for the terrifying tom from her dream but saw no one. The terrible realisation came to her. There had been no tom... She had started to give birth! Yowling in pain she called out "Help! I... I don't know what to do!" She groaned with pain and closed her eyes, hoping that some cat would come soon.
