LATIN: Salvete. Haec acia est pro illis vestri qui Latinam sciamus (non multi, rationalabiliter). Haec autem erit bona pro exercitio, itaque non nocet.
ENGLISH: Hi y'all. This thread is for those of us who speak Latin (probably not a lot). This will be good for practice, though, so it can't hurt.

Latin; Salve! Latinam anno venio! Ita, varius sit amet .. Sed tamen hoc loquar! Anyways, hoe enim es tu?
English: Hi! I'm on my second year of learning Latin! So, I may be a bit patchy.. But I can speak it none the less! Anyways, hoe are you?

But I can speak it none the less! Anyways, hoe are you? I'm honestly not trying to be mean, but....wherever you learned to speak Latin, please get rid of it immediately.
This is what your Latin would actually translate to: "Hi! I come Latin for year! Yes, let different love may be....but I am spoken this nevertheless! Anyways, for are you?"
An indirect correct translation would be: "Salve! Anni dui Latinam didici! Itaque paululo sim inaequalis....sed tamen id loquiam! Qualubet, quid agis?"

Well like I said..it's only my second year of doing Latin in school...I'm not taking affence to it ^^... But sense I'm only on chapter 13 on Jenny's textbook I can't really speak fluently. Baton does have different ways to translate.. But yeah I can see where I messed up. Lol. I can't really get rid of it emedietly because once again it's a class you have to work hard to be in. XD

XD //squints// ...are you sure you didn't just use Google Translate? Because when I enter your intended English into the Latin translator, I get the exact same thing you did.

(( I don't know how to do Latin but for sure I know it is mandatory to learn it next year in my school, so yippee, I'll be observing this thread from the shadows. ))

Lol yeah im sure. I have proof! Right now I'm working on translating the first 13 chapters of Aeneas's tale. Right now we're on the chapter La Vinia. XD we are also learning the vocative and imperative. It's actually quite easy at first. I just can't say things like Hi, or, How are you doing?
So, how did you learn Latin?

feign: Learning Latin is like scaling a plateau. The foothills aren't so bad, then there's the steep slope, and eventually evens out to the same level. It gets easier once you peak. forestpaw: I started being homeschooled in the 4th grade, and that was the language course taught in the curriculum we chose. It's popular with homeschoolers. So I've been learning it for about nine years now.

The Super Smash Bros. Brawl theme lyrics are in Latin.
Audi famam illius. Solus in hostes ruit et patriam servavit.
Audi famam illius. Cucurrit quaeque tetigit destruens.
Audi famam illius. Audi famam illius.
Spes omnibus, mihi quoque. Terror omnibus, mihi quoque.
Ille iuxta me. Ille iuxta me.
Socii sunt mihi, qui olim viri fortes rivalesque erant.
Saeve certando pugnandoque splendor crescit.
Translation:
Hear the fame of him. He rushed alone into enemies and saved his country.
Hear the fame of him. He ran destroying everything he touched.
Hear the fame of him. Hear the fame of him.
Hope to all, to me also Fear to all, to me also
He is near to me. He is near to me.
They, who were once strong men and rivals, are allies to me.
Our splendor grows by savagely contesting and fighting.
Please correct me if I am wrong in my translation. I am only on my second year of Latin.
