Halloooooo I have been fidgeting, restless and my mind is just like 'Blarg you do you want to read, do you want to draw? Both? Neither?' and I just...end up bored and frustrated with nothing to do. It was alright yesterday but now It's a little more intense. I just need roleplaying, interaction for once, so like maybe someone would be interested. But yeah, anyway so like I'm in a more fantasy edge right now. Like Fantasy meets modern Idk. I'm just in the mood to roleplay and just get my thoughts together to focus on something. I'll let you in on some details though:
- So like it says in the title, I am a advance/literate role-player I do not do well with small posts, I do better when there is more to work with. I normally type 4/5 paragraphs because people get scared after 6. I just like setting scenes and explaining stuff not to mention that writing is like kind of therapeutic for me. It helps me brain a little. If you type more then 6 I am willing to match the length. ( Just warn me ahead of time )
- If you are not into the fantasy modern day shtick, you can always pm me about doing a different roleplay. I can do Victorian age, Epic Fantasy with dragons and stuff, Supernatural, SOME slice of life ( It gotta be unique slice of life at least ), or whatever else you can think of. As long as we are both happy with the plot and the theme then we cool.
- I can do both guys and girls, because I really like making characters. Like a lot. So if you have characters that you think will work with this roleplay then toss them in and don't be afraid. Any character is accepted.
- I was thinking maybe like a couple of people, like two or three. But like don't come on here and say 'I'll rp!' and then never show up....ever.
Anyway so on to business, the roleplay is just simple modern day fantasy with some drama that we can generate somehow ( I have drama in mind but if you got drama to toss in DO IT. The more ideas the better ). Plus it's easier for everyone since you don't really have to build a world around it cause it's modern day, 2016 and all that. The setting, um let's say New York. Cause a lot of stuff happens in New York. Something simple and to the point so everyone can jump on and no one gets really confuzzled. Anyway I'll set the scene, set up characters. I'm sorry if the setting is horrible for characters to join cause I suck at openings.
( PS I actually had to look up to see if Tim Hortons was in New York cause I'm so gosh darn stupid )
Have you ever seen a werewolf argue with a elf in the freezing cold before in front of a Tim Hortons before? I guess you would say no, since you wouldn't really know that it was an elf and a werewolf arguing. To normal people it was just some tall dude looking down at a girl much shorter then himself. A easy smile was spread across his features, looking at the girl that was barking insults at him while she tried to not crush the coffee cup in her hands. "And you know what? I can go to Tim Hortons whenever I want! I don't care if you judge me and think that I'm pathetic and stink like a human body sack, coffee is coffee gosh darn it!" She snapped at the man, her voice just barely above a whisper. "I happen to like coffee a lot, and if you blab to anyone else about me being here I will snap your dumb elfish neck and stuff your dumb hair extensions in your mouth..." She added, jabbing a finger at his chest to make a point. She wasn't all that threatening actually if you saw it from his point of view. She was a short girl no taller then 5'4 and was covered from head to toe in thick winter clothing, a black and white beanie snug over her head and a thick purple coat that almost engulfed her body. She even had on big black snow boots, He could see a slight peak of some fuzzy sock from under the boots. She looked so...human. It was disgusting actually, to see someone from his world dress and act like such a human being. Something below them in power, something so weak. He didn't voice his disgust out in the open though, there was humans walking around and as much as he hated it, he had to act like one of them. "I never said anything about telling anyone...I already knew you went to Tim Hortons for a Carmel Latte every Friday cause that's when you have off patrolling and also the start of your weekend from your human job"
She blinked up at him, her already rosy red cheeks growing redder at his statement. "Do you stalk me or something Rhaen? Don't you got elf stuff to do?" She grumbled, her anger being whipped at the fact that he knew exactly what she had gotten at the human coffee shop. That darn smile only spread, but she could tell behind that smile he was hiding a scowl that would look unpleasant on his features. He didn't even look cold, all he had on was a wool over coat that was buttoned up to his neck. In fact she bet her own wolf pelt after a full shift that he didn't feel the cold, that he just let his body get cold so he looked 'human' and blend in. Some creatures didn't have to worry about the climates of the human world, all they had to do was act like they were hot or cold. While creatures like her actually got cold in their human bodies, had to actually worry about how warm it was going to be. "Don't you have werewolf duties to get to? Or do your higher ranking officers keep you lower ranks on a tight leash" Rhaen replied, only making her bristle all over again. "Either tell me what you want or get out of here. I don't want to smell like an elf all day." She said and crinkled her nose like his scent was burning her nostrils. "Oh no, am I bothering you Saff? Am I?" He teased with a light voice. She grumbled something under her breath, something that would make a grandma gasp, before turning her back to him.
"Good-bye Rhaen! Have fun picking on poor humans" She said, taking a sip from her coffee before being yanked back so rough that she almost spilled it all over her front. "Wait a minute" He said, his hand wrapped firmly around her forearm that didn't release her until he took a hesitant glance around. "I wanted to just warn you....." He said, those bright green eyes drilling in Saff's Cool blue gray hue eyes with a seriousness that made Saff frown and shift towards him. "Warn me of what?" She asked, her voice dropping a bit as he stared down at her, his dark golden hair falling over his eyes. "If you keep coming here you'll smell like a actual human and might get shot with an arrow...cause you are starting to stink. I had to say it I couldn't help it any longer" He said, like it was a huge weight lifted off his dumb elf shoulders. Saff nearly picked up the man and crush his spine where he stood. "Why don't you go prance back to your dumb elf king and his dumb kids? Don't you have babies to look over for another 100 years?" She growled, her anger rekindling. "Why don't you actually hang out with your own kind? Maybe then this human stench will go away" He retorted with the same smile he had on moments before.
"Why don't you?!" She growled, almost spitting in his face as while she spun back around to storm away from him. He knew good and well why she didn't spend time with her own kind on her off time. After everything happening in the streets and back alleys there was no way it was considered safe for a group of werewolves to clump up. For the past few weeks dead werewolves have been found just...mangled. Pelts gone, teeth yanked out, eyes missing and sometimes even drained to the bones of blood. Some think it's vampires and others think it's a rouge band of witches that have some kind of spell in mind that required werewolf eyes and teeth. But it wasn't just werewolves it was...everyone. New York harbors hoards of creatures that humans spend time reading about in their 'Twilight' ( Gag ) and 'Lord of the Rings' books or watching them pop up in bad affects make-up for some kind of high fantasy movie. So when Saff means everyone she means, everyone. Every troll or goblin, witch and wizard, vampire and werewolf, fairies and elves. You name it, it's most likely in New York. So there have been killings of every kind, faes being sucked of their magic, pixies wings being ripped from their bodies, vampires fangs missing or their hearts. It was just once a month before but now it seems to happen daily and in greater numbers. She didn't want to end up like them though, she may have a pack with many other pack mates but in the end it was her or them. And she would choose her...sadly.
"I don't smell like human" Rhaen said as he followed after her, trailing behind her as he watched her take a sip of coffee to refrain from snapping at him again. "Plus I wanted to know if your alpha was going to be coming to the meeting tonight. I haven't heard anything about-" He began but Saff just waved her hand. "And you don't need to know. I don't know anything.. If you want to know stuff go talk to a Beta" She said, trying not to feel a sting from her own words. She wasn't high ranking like Rhaen. Rhaen was in the council with the elf king, he was a high officer in the court and was all special. It made her gag to think about how fancy and poofy Elves could be. But then again they aren't that different from Werewolves. She wasn't an Omega, nor was she a Beta. She was just a normal pack mate, no special roles. She couldn't handle something like that anyway, too much work in her opinion. She enjoyed just going on patrols with higher ranks and working on whatever was emailed to her ( Even werewolves had to get with the times for communicating.) Rhaen didn't really say much to her statement, just nodded like he would take it under consideration. After walking a few blocks though, Saff had to stop and turn to the elf. "Are you just gonna follow me around like a lost puppy?"
"I thought you were the lost puppy...."
"Go home you stupid Legolas wannabe"

Aw. That's fine, I would love to roleplay with you until you get back into the swing of it. Usually when I go on break my roleplaying isn't really all that good either when I come back lol

New york was a city so alive, the nightlife, the lights and the constant cry of sirens rushing off to attend the next tragedy. It was a place perfect for those who otherwise wouldn't fit in elsewhere, the misfits and outcasts, struggling artists and lonely souls. It was a place where dreamers came, so of course it was the perfect place for those who feasted on dreams.
The streets were slick and icy, people huddled up in their winter coats dark and foreboding. Walking with their heads down bundled up like a scene from March of the Penguins. With so many people who would notice one or two going missing every now and again. She moved through the streets, a ray of colour in her red cotton trench coat, fastened about the waist to flatter her feminine figure. Her scarlet curls fell loosely from beneath a dark beanie about a symmetrical heart shaped face, set by two glimmering emerald green eyes. One look from those parted a gap through the crowd, earning a few interested glances, men who wouldn't know what they were getting into. For some like here blending in was the key to survival, she couldn't bare to be dull and boring. Just another edgeless figure, blurring with the next.
Her heeled boots clicked against the paving, the brown leather extending to the point just below her knees, heels giving her an extra couple of inches in height. Her stride effortless even over the frozen sidewalk. She turned towards the establishment that was her destination, a coffee shop with a cute barista with delusions of grandeur. His dreams were pretty interesting and talking to him in real life made her appearances in those night time fantasies so much easier for him to explain. Turning from the more crowded sidewalk on to the offset she hesitated, there were presences there that weren't human. She looked carefully, easily picking out the taller figure and his conversational partner, a more animated female. People didn't take kindly to what she was, even those who were different, she was a Succubus. She fed on the dreams of anyone who caught her interest, not picky on their species. Her only specification was that they had to interest her. There weren't many creatures who fed off their own kind and as could be expected this didn't make her popular.
Turning back wasn't an option now, no doubt they would have at least noticed her, whether they knew what she was depended entirely on their perception. Succubuses were not common, and for a creature that hadn't met one they tended to just notice something unusual about her. She continued forwards, deciding internally that she would ignore them unless they spoke to her first.

"I find it odd how you can drink anything like that" Rhaen said after a while, still stuck to her side like some flea to a dogs body. That was exactly what the elf was to her, a flea that wouldn't go away. No matter how much she tried to pry the thing from her life it always seemed to scurry right on back. "You're just upset cause your fragile elf taste buds can't handle it" She grumbled, only glancing back towards him when she saw a twitch in his smile. Oh he didn't like that. Rhaen was the kind of elf that wanted to prove how amazing his species was to everyone else. But he knew it was true, that something as bitter as coffee wouldn't sit well on his taste buds. He was as picky as any other elf in the world and he chose to simply ignore that fact. While Saff chose to poke at it with a stick and hope to the lord that the humans pray to that it bursts in a big old explosion. "Maybe...or maybe because your tastes have been so tainted that nothing really tastes nasty" He grumbled, a poor come back but at least it was something. Saff just rolled her eyes and reached up to tug her hat down slightly as a sharp cold wind cut across her cheeks. "Are you done being a pest or do you need something else?" She said, stopping by a vendor with a stack full of news papers, some of which seemed to have paper that buckled inwards from either rain or late snow. "I just want to make sure you get home safely is all..." Rhaen said, watching as the female werewolf yanked out a couple bucks to put into the vendors hand for the newspaper.
He cringed at it, finding it odd on how she can just hand over money like that for something so....ruined. "Yeah right. You rather see me gutted and skinned then make sure I got home 'safely' what are you, a elf body guard now?" She said, letting a teasing smirk come across her lips. Rhaen let out a soft growl as he took her shoulder and turned her sharply toward the road. "Don't just say those words so casually like that Saffron" He said, using her full name as usual. "What? Elf? We've been talking like that for 15 minutes. Don't act so paranoid all of a sudden" She said and scuffed as she looked up at him. "Listen, I'm gonna go home and I'm gonna sit down and drink my coffee and read the human newspaper. And you are gonna run back home to Donavan and wait on his brats words to do something" She said as she maneuvered herself out from his grasp and back toward the coffee shop. "And you aren't going to bother me for the rest of the walk back" She added, taking a small sip of her coffee that she was trying to enjoy. But the man didn't seem to take a hint, elves were stubborn that way ya know? They talk about being all serious and high and mighty and if they are tasked with doing something, they have to do it. Why? Cause their high and mighty. If you ask Saff they were more on the first part then the last.
"Stop walking away from me" He said from behind her, obviously his nice guy persona was dropping from the tone of annoyance that ringed in his voice. "Nope" She answered, just wanting to head back home now and get out of this cold. She didn't care about whatever it was that was bothering him, she didn't care if he wanted to know something about her pack or whatever. She was a low ranking wolf that didn't have no special fancy job. She wasn't special like the other werewolves he could bother so why was he even bothering her in the first place?? He didn't speak after that, but she could still tell he was following her, his elf ears might be good but hers were better. She could pick up the heavy fall of his boots against the concrete and could smell that sickly sweet scent of his that all elves had. Like Vanilla and butter cream icing mixed together with a bit too much sugar. It was suppose to a be an attracting scent, but to her it was so disgusting that she wanted to vomit all over the side walk. To him she probably smelled more like a pine forest with fresh snow then something sweet. Werewolves didn't smell like dogs like most have come to believe. They smelled like a forest or like burnt firewood during a cold winter storm. The only time they ever smelled bad was when they were shifted in their natural form. That's when it smelled more like rusted metal then the pleasant smell that others were use to.
Again she felt a hand grabbing her shoulder, which was only causing her own annoyance to rise. "Stop touching me" She growled, yanking her shoulder away, almost ripping off his arm if he hadn't let go. She had been so lost in thought she didn't even hear him getting closer to her. "Then stop walking away from me" He said in the same low growl, his eyes pinned onto her, a slight scowl coming across his face. "Then what do you want?! You've ben bothering me about this and that but clearly that's not what you want Rhaen. You need something. And you are refusing to tell me" She said, once more jabbing her finger against his chest for each word she said. Rhaen only furrowed his eyes, looking to the side for a moment before looking at her, the side, and then the ground. "I need to talk to you...in private about something....really serious" He said softly, his eyes suddenly taking a vail of helplessness but also a look of frustration. Saff tipped her head slightly and raised one blonde eyebrow at him. "What about?" She asked, but he didn't answer right away. He just looked to the side once more before shaking his head. "Not here....there are too many....eyes" He said. And by eyes he meant there was too many other eyes. Humans had small brains and wouldn't understand what they were talking about nor would they bother. But he didn't want to take the chance to talk about this while there could be something...abnormal listening in on them. While Saff seemed to be in her own world of frustration because of his bothering antics, he had ben keeping note of what was around them. And yes elves sense of smell wasn't as strong as other creatures but he knew a strange scent when he did.
And there was one that he didn't understand, nor did he know of. And he's been around for centuries. But this one was odd, something he didn't know if he had smelled before or not. And he doubted Saff could tell because of every other human scent that would assault a werewolves senses.

She exhaled, queen of acting like nothing got to her, her true talent putting one foot in front of the other and lifting her chin with pride. The coffee shop was warm and cloying, the bitter scent of fresh coffee the first thing to assault her senses. Not that is was an unpleasant smell, it was one she found comforted the masses and one that could help her lure in her prey. He more regular scent was that of cherries, and dark chocolate but a succubus could change it on impulse.
The bell tinkled as the door shut behind her and a few curious eyes looked up as she moved towards the counter. She batter her eyelashes and gave a few soft smiles. "Good morning mam." it was that overly chirpy voice of her favourite barista, he had that kind of voice that was obviously put on, the voice of someone that hated their job but knew being overly happy was what earned tips and kept food on the table. There was something more in his voice though, and the flush of colour over his bronzed cheeks wasn't just from the fuggy warmth. He was embarrassed to see her and after what she had seen in his dreams she wasn't surprised, men were all the same on the inside. They all acted sweet and caring but they really only wanted one thing.
"The usual please." She said batting her eyelashes, her plump, ruby painted lips quirking into a smile. He hurried to make her drink with a vigour that most baristas lacked. Of course it was only because she was a pretty face and he fancied her. "So anything interesting happen to you recently?" She pried, fluttering her eyelashes wondering if he would admit to his dreams. Of course she knew he wouldn't that was the thing about a succubus' dreams, people were always incredibly ashamed of them. He shrugged in that nonchalant way people had when on a subject they weren't comfortable with. She laughed lightly and took the drink handed him the payment, before moving to sit in a booth.
"You know you shouldn't play with your food." She hadn't noticed the figure sitting in the shadows but luckily managed to stop herself from jumping, instead leveling her bright green eyes at the dark haired figure and settling down. "What are you doing here Cole?" This dark figure was her roommate, a warlock who she had known for years. The two were firm friends, made possible by his incredible tendency to be very boring. It meant she was never tempted to invade his dreams.
"Well I have to entertain myself somehow. Living with you is as dull as doing laundry." She said with a chuckle. She pondered on whether to tell him what she had witnessed on her way here, but she decided against it. I would be her little intrigue for now. Ignoring the figure across the table from her she took a sip of her coffee, looking out on the patrons of the cafe before returning her gaze to the window. She could see the strange figures from before just beyond the glass, the male clearly on edge and the female not happy about what was being said.
(Sorry thats really crappy)

[ It's alright, it isn't crappy. ]
"Too many eyes? What, you suddenly paranoid?" She mumbled, wishing he would just tell her what was wrong so she could get out of this darn cold. And maybe pop in some pain medicine for the throbbing new headache she was getting from all of this nonsense. "Yes" He said, without even thinking if she would make a jab at him or not for being paranoid. "Listen we...I just...." He struggled to say what it was that was on his mind. He seemed a little embarrassed even to have to come to a werewolf for this sort of thing. "Just....could we find a quiet place to talk about this? Somewhere that doesn't involve prying eyes or ears" He said softly. Oh yeah, like that was easy. What on earth was she suppose to do, take him home and make him tea in her small apartment? As if, she didn't want this guy to know where she lived if he was already stalking her. Her and Rhaen weren't 'friends' more like work buddies. She would see him on occasion outside of her own pack and her human job, and when she did it wasn't all flowers and happy smiles. It was more of her insulting the crap ton out of him until he finally broke that good boy shell her would have over him. Rhaen was easy to annoy if you poked at all the right buttons, and sometimes it would be fun. Other times it would result in a big old insulting mess until she was pried away from him and his stupid sweet scent.
"Well then where do you want to talk? I don't really feel like going anywhere far away....if you haven't noticed I rather go inside where it's warm and I don't have to stay out in the cold" She grumbled. Rhaen frowned at that, like he didn't care if she was cold or not. He was here to talk to her about something important, something he never thought he would stoop so low as asking a Lupan for. "What about the coffee shop? Since you like it so much" She suggested, not even giving Rhaen a moment to think about it or to deny her request. She was already walking inside, leaving Rhaen to follow after her with no choice since he couldn't just grab her by the hair and pull her aside from the public. Of course he would have loved to grab a fist full of her blonde hair and yank her back like she was some dog. But apparently that wasn't acceptable behavior in the human world. Figures. Rhaen followed Saff right into the place called 'Tim Hortons' and almost tossed up whatever breakfast he had this morning when stepping inside. The air was tart, bitter and filled with the smell of human. He forced his face to remain blank but that didn't stop the uncomfortable feeling that washed over him when he felt like this was the complete opposite of what he had wanted. There was eyes turning towards him, glancing his way and there was so much sound. People talking over one another and the annoying cashier at the counter that offered them a smile. It was horrible. Disgusting. But Saff seemed to enjoy it, walking right over to a empty table and plopping the newspaper down. She raised an eyebrow in his direction, sitting down to confirm that she wasn't planning on talking anywhere else.
"Do you have to be such a child" He hissed at her softly when he walked over, wishing more then anything to become invisible to these humans. If only elves could do that, a wish that he wanted to come true. "Yeah, I like seeing you wiggle for once. Now talk up or else I'm gonna make you drink some nasty coffee" She grumbled as she shrugged off her coat. She didn't want to get too warm inside of here, that and the large coat felt like it was suffocating her. "You even dress like one of them" He mumbled, seeing the long sleeved AC/DC shirt that was resting underneath that large purple coat. "The point Rhaen. Get to the point of bugging me" She said, yanking off her beanie and further messing up her short cropped hair, strands only coming down to about her jawline. Rhaen scowled at her, looking down at the glossy table that still had a few smudged fingerprints dotting the surface. "I wanted to ask you...if you could tell your alpha...that the elves are willing to....pay for your services" He grumbled, picking away at some of the little clumps of fabric that were on his cuffs of the coat. "Services?....We don't go that way Rh-" She began but Rhaen only cut her off with a sharp 'ZZT' before glaring at her. "No! I mean...for your protection since the murders have....defiantly seem to affect everyone" He grumbled. She leaned forward slightly, raising her eyebrow once more at his words. "We found a....elf torn up near the river side this morning" He said softer, forcing Saff to actually just focus her hearing onto his voice. "We didn't even know it was an elf until we took it in to examine." He added, his eyes darting around.
"And what makes you think we want to help you jerks" She said bluntly, making him look up at her in shock like he wasn't expecting her to say something like that to him. "You elves treat everyone like they're trash and when something bad happens to you guys, you suddenly expect us to help you guys out?" She said, taking the lid off her coffee cup to slosh around the coffee inside, suddenly the taste was too bitter even for her to drink. "We would pay you-"
"We got enough money you moron. We aren't mercs that are looking for jobs. The fact of the matter is, you want to single out the werewolves to whatever is killing us so no more elves end up shredded and picked apart like insects" She whispered, her eyes narrowing down to him as he scowled slightly at her, like this wasn't how it was suppose to go. He had planned for her to feel sorry for the elves, that one of their own died but maybe he was talking to the wrong werewolf for this. He had thought she was as dumb as she looked when walking around being so....normal. "That's not what I mean at all" He said slowly, trying not to get into a fight so soon in the conversation. "Yes it is. Oh woe is me, the poor elves are struggling just like everyone else" She said softly and made to look like she cared. She didn't. To be honest she was bored with this conversation, she was sick and tired of Rhaen and his dramatic antics and she was ready to go home. She wasn't going to go to her alpha and suggest they look out for the elves who don't need protecting at all. It was their fault that they were so weak in this world. It was their fault they acted like this world was like the old ones back then when they could get away with anything by hiding up in the mountains.

Her interest faded and she returned her gaze to the warm drink in her hands, a long attention span was not something she had been gifted with. Not really something many succubi were gifted with. She could feel Cole watching her in that irritating way of his, his dark eyes studying her as though she were some animal in a zoo. "Do you really have to do that?" She said her voice low, leveling that dangerous gaze at him. He was used to this by now, having lived with her for so long and simply raised an eyebrow in response. "You're such a freak." She said shaking her head before the bell from the door caught her attention.
The long legged male caught her attention first, wondering why on earth someone like him would be in a place like this. She knew Elves couldn't stand this kind of place and that only served to raise more questions. He was obvious enough to spot but less so was the small bundle of clothes beside him, seemingly huan to one with less experience but she could tell easily enough from the prickly attitude and the subtle woodsy scent. Ok so now this had her interest, but of course she kept her focus on her own table so as not to raise suspicions. The buzz of conversation dulled her hearing somewhat but she had developed the ability to single out the conversations she wanted to hear, it was a skill that helped her to find the most interesting meal. But it had its benefits for eavesdropping too.
Their conversation had started so interestingly as they sat in a booth adjoining the one she and her housemate occupied, Cole clueless as ever was tapping relentlessly at the screen of his phone, playing some game involving matching coloured candy. She shook her head despairingly as she watched him, all the while her true focus the concerned tone of the elven male and the snarky replies of his Lupan companion. She of course knew about the disappearances, the murders. Anyone in unusual circles had heard and was on edge, not knowing what exactly they should be afraid of. His request though she had not expected, the elves were a proud race and to hear one stooping to asking for protection from anyone else was just unheard of. She laughed inwardly, on the outside showing no reaction at all.
"You know games like that rot your brain." She said, watching his fingers moving nimbly over the screen. He didn't look up from what he was doing, just poked out his tongue and continued to prod away. Well at least he had the sound muted, It was about all she could stand to hear the jolly chirps and chimes as he played. She chuckled quietly, taking a sip of her drink, enjoying the warm bitter taste.
