Elliot didn't jump the next time the demon showed himself at the window. He met it's gaze and shuddered when he saw that even the whites were covered with black. The mortal teen just shook his head when he saw the bloodied towels and waved his hand in the air. He didn't want them back; not only because they were covered in blood which was nearly impossible to remove from fabric, but because he wouldn't need them anymore. He unlocked the bathroom door and left it behind him as he hurried around his room to pack his hiking bag with the essentials. He even grabbed a bag of dog treats for Gracie which gave him a lick of appreciation on the back of his hand. He smiled at his dog but it didn't reach his eyes, "c'mon, girl. We're off to find a new home," he murmured. With that, he unlocked his door and descended the stairs before making a speedy escape to the door but none of the staff were in enough shape to give chase. Gracie bolted ahead and barked at the gates which Elliot heaved open before slamming shut behind him. He was sprinting down the streets in broad daylight but he didn't care; he just knew he had to get away. Hopefully that demon and his vampire boyfriend won't come after me. He was comforted by the weight of his spare hunting knife that was sheathed at his hip.
He moved off of the road and slipped into the woods. Elliot only slowed when the mansion was far in the distance and he was surrounded by the peaceful sounds of the creatures that lived among the trees. Gracie barked and trotted ahead as if scouting the way and the young male followed at a slower pace, taking his time to gather his thoughts. Not even an hour had passed and now he was on the run, now aware that fairy tale creatures existed. He ran a hand through his hair and grumbled to himself before coming to a break in the trees where the shore to an enormous lake began. Having explored the area, he knew the river that poured into the lake brought in salt water from the ocean so Elliot didn't dare step into it. It would be a bad idea to get dehydrated so soon. {Ahhh I'm sorry omg xD}
Silence. That was all you could hear echoing throughout the empty water- Well, you couldn't really hear it, because it was, of course, silence. Every once in a while, there would be a swish as a fish swam by, or any other kind of water life that lived among the lake. That was, until, in the dark of night lit up only from the light reflecting off the sun, a figure appeared. It grew clearer and clearer until it finally stopped in the middle of the lake, looking around for a moment. The figure, of course, was obviously a mermaid. What else could breathe under water for so long? Looking left and right curiously, the mermaid drew her ocean blue eyes up to the blurry moon up above the waters surface, before heading up to take a small breather and take a quick look around.
Lumi was bored out of her mind. She hadn't really had anything to do lately, so, right when the moon had begun to sank towards the horizon, she decided to go for an adventure, taking the way through the water towards a lake sitting in the middle of an ocean. She didn't really know where she was going, or really what she was expecting to happen, but all she knew was that it was a lot more interesting to do then sit around at home. Not a lot of mermaids came this way, either, so she probably wouldn't have to deal with an unsuspecting guests. She let her head surface from the water, batting her lashes a couple times to get used to the light, and then looked around, Looks like nothing out of the ordinary, but what did I expect to be ou-
Her thoughts were cut off by a rustling nearby, turning her gaze quickly in the general direction, moving so that only her eyes peered over the water. It was.... A person? She couldn't tell if it was a creature or if it was a human, but she also noticed that it had a creature beside her that looked like a dog, which it probably was. Could be a wolf... It was hard to see in the dark. She should've probably brought Oliver along with her, but what could a small sea otter do in this situation? Just about nothing. But... She couldn't help but move closer, as silent as a mouse. She had gone on an adventure for a reason, and if this was a human, then what in the world was he doing out here this late at night? It was dangerous, especially with creatures worse than her prowling about.
