"Another island. Great!" Lykaios muttered under his breath. "But.... No islands are suppost to be here. Not when I flew here last time." Her eyes narrowed.

(Oh, thanks! I'm glad to have more people.)
"It's a giant magical turtle that looks like an island."

((Hey, guys! Shall I make a quick description of my character before jumping in, or should I just start?)) (I would say whatever one you want to do.) ((I'll just start, to save some time. My character's personality and the like will be revealed as the plot(s) go on))
A cool breeze swept by, ruffling the feathers along Tenebris' flanks. It stirred him briefly from his light sleep as the air bit into the skin beneath the plumage on his face. He clacked his beak uncomfortably, slowly opening his eyes, only to wince as sunlight decided to greet his sensitive orbs. He couldn't quite tell what time it was, but he was certain that he had overslept. Shaking out his wings, he slowly lifted up his chin from his chest, averting his eyes to the forest floor below. The young crow was perched on the branch of a redwood, allowing him to overlook most of the domain. The floor was dotted with rotting foliage, and many dead leaves shined in the light. The bark beneath his feet was mildly soggy. Had it rained recently?
((Ahh, this may start off slow. I have no idea as to what I'm doing, so bear with me here.))

(ahh sorry. welcome irish!!)
"A... giant magic turtle?" He was quite perplexed. "And I thought that it didn't get weirder." He spoke this under his breath, not meaning to be heard by Night or Flicker.
(probably going to just post short replies, supposed to be doing something but I procrastinate )

((It's completely fine! Hi!))
A soft sigh exhaled from his lungs as the last bits of drowsiness still lay on his shoulders. It had been days since he'd actually gotten some good sleep. Vicious creatures prowled these woods, constantly threatening his safety. Sleeping only gave them further advantage.
A pang of hunger reminded him of his empty stomach. Desperately trying to shake off the dew and the sleep, he stretched his glossy black wings wide and straightened his spine. He needed to get a move on, before something else did. That thought sent a shiver of dread down his spine.

(whoops I'm back)
Night gulped. "Maybe we should just fly past it. We don't want to be near that island."

"I'd prefer not to get attacked, so that sounds like a lovely plan." Lykaios dug his claw's into Flicker's scales, trying not to get flung off.

He stopped himself from lingering any longer and made a hasty leap. His wings flapped wildly for a second as he tried to catch his balance, before he ascended above the trees. The moment his black body heaved its way out of the interlocking canopy, the corvid felt his breath hitch in his chest. The view was marvelous.
Shaking his head, he snapped his gaze downward. He had to focus. Food first, scenery later. He inhaled sharply and surveyed his surroundings, trying to spot a morsel of food below. Maybe even a travelling wolf pack. As a scavenger, he had to depend upon others to give him his food, which had both its upsides and its downsides. Hopefully this time it was an upside.

(Sorry for poofing, guys)
Flicker snarled at Lykos. Don't do that again. She thought angrily.
Night gulped. "Let's fly past this island. I would say we have a hundred or so yards before we can see the shore."

Lykaios stiffened as Flicker snarled, but said nothing. He only nodded to Night, trying to focus on not falling off.

When spotting nothing nearby, Tenebris glided on. Anxiousness pricked at his nerves. If he didn't find food soon, he wouldn't have much energy. He mentally begged for luck to be on his side. He inhaled again, trying to breathe to clear his head. He needed to focus and to be vigilant. He scanned below him, searching for a movement or a flash of red flesh between the canopy of redwoods.

(We should probably have Tenebris find them or vice versa)
Night squinted ahead, starting to see the murky outline of what appeared to be a shoreline. She gave a happy bark, and dove down to express her excitment. "Oh finally! Somewhere except sea! I wonder what part of the continent we've washed up on....."

Lykaios followed suit, and let out a howl. His eyes were ablaze with joy. "Hopefully somewhere safe!" He replied.

((Yeah, that sounds good. I'll have Tenebris find them?))
Still nothing. Anxiousness and frustration flitted within him, making him practically slap at the air with his wings. Flattening out his tail feathers, he swept downward. His claws just barely skimmed against several evergreen fronds and twigs. He'd have food. He'd have to. Right?
He snapped his head back up when a cold breeze ruffled his feathers, burning his face and his legs. The unfamiliar wind battered against his wings, making him slow slightly. A sharp smell of salt burned his glands. He furrowed his brows and flapped, gaining height to overlook his surroundings. Had that been an ocean breeze? But from where he was, the water seemed to be miles away. His poor eyes could only see it as a blur, but he was certain it was further off. But, something burned in his chest, even despite his uncertainty. Ocean shores brought dead crabs and clams. He wasn't a dumb seagull by any means, but he was desperate for any sort of food by this point. Better safe than sorry.

"Yeah, like that'll ever happen." She said jokingly. The shore was quite visible now, and it was.. Black? That couldn't be right. Night blinked, and cocked her head in confusion.

Lykaios grinned, though it seemed fake. "I don't care what the shore looks like, its land, and I can finally get off Flicker." He said, a bit annoyed.

As he neared the edge of the forest-line, two shaky figures started to come into view. Tenebris frowned, slowing his pace slightly into a gentle glide. An updraft flowing from the ocean's surface pocketed beneath his wings, immediately heaving him higher so that he could get a better view of the silhouettes. Dread dropped into the pit of stomach when he realized just how big the two figures were, and yet his poor eyes couldn't quite make out any features. They were still wavering shadows against the sunlight.
Swallowing down the bile rising in his throat, he forced his wings back against his flanks momentarily. His body dropped into a steep dive, before he abruptly opened the limbs once more. He couldn't afford to be much higher in the air. Those silhouettes didn't look like albatross or seagulls. They were unfamiliar to him, which made him all the more nervous. And yet, for some foolish reason, he was continuing to approach the beach.

Flicker grunted in reply. She landed down on the beech, and moved her head so Lykos would fall off.
Night's stomach rumbled. "It might just be me, but I'm really hungry. I haven't eaten since.... I can't really remember."

A hiss exhaled from his lungs and he faltered, hovering over the trees. He could see the strangers below, now, in better view and in far better detail. He found himself wishing that they had stayed shadowy blurs, things that could have been mere figments of imagination. He needed to leave. Now. They were obviously off to cause trouble, for they seemed so out of place here.
He stared nervously down at them, occasionally glancing about himself. He was close enough that if he made any sudden moments, creatures with a sense of vigilance could easily detect it. Hopefully these were the less aware kind. Then again, they're such a strange group of ragtag creatures. They're smart enough to trust rival species without killing each other. He mentally groaned. Curse his moronic curiosity. Swallowing thickly, he frantically continued to look for points in the trees to shield himself.

(Two things.
One, Irishgriffin just set up something that I've been wanting to set up forever.
Sentience. Animals have varying levels of it.
Two, I just realized a question that never got answered. Nebulae.... what was frost's original form?)
"Yeah. We need to hunt. Flicker, I would advise you turn back into a wolf." She yawned, tired from the long journey.
Flicker shifted into a wolf, and sniffed the air for scents. "I smell birds." She grunted.
