I'm a Biology major, and a double minor in Biochemistry and French! Yeah, I'm not sure at this point what I'll do honestly. I'm thinking I might try and get into pharmacy if I'm still really loving school at that point. If not I might take a year off and work, or do a shorter, more specialized program (Lately I've been looking into speech pathology).

Ah nice! It isn't easy figuring out what you want to do o: I am double majoring in Business Management and Hospitality and Tourism Management and I could go into either areas, which I am considering, but I honestly don't want to but my parents want me to do something with my education and I agree that I should be but I just don't want to do anything....like I have my eyes set on my dream and that's it xD I don't want to do anything else even though I kinda need money to start a business xD tbh though, I just want to get out of college though cause I really am not enjoying it at all

That sounds really fun! I was really happy to move off of campus this year, I spent my first year of college in a residence and the kitchen there was always being used/didn't have storage for all the baking supplies I needed. So now that I have my own place (well, shared place with roommates), I'm free to make what I want, when I want

I want to live off campus bc I can't bake on campus- so the only time I can bake is when I go home, which is really only on breaks and it kills so much xD But the thing is, I don't have any friends and I can't afford to live off campus alone so it just doesn't work xD But I need that cause we are required to get pay for the dining commons living on campus and the lowest cost is $3,000 but I don't eat at the dining commons cause anxiety (which honestly is messed up- like there is no way to get around having to pay for dining and living on campus and I feel so guilty for wasting 3,000 but I can't eat at the dining commons so??) and if I lived off campus, I could save tons of money...but I need people to live with first? That must be so nice though!!

Oh yeah, that would be rough! Our dining hall was pretty expensive too, and to me personally not worth the amount I was paying (I eat very little most of the time, so I'd end up with these huge serving sizes and always ended up wasting so much of it/feeling awful about it). I'm actually thinking of moving off in my own place next year. Having roommates started out as really fun but at this point we all really have different living standards/I'm pretty much the most extroverted one here, so we can never seem to agree on stuff like quiet hours/when its ok to have friends over/how many at once and stuff like that. It might be expensive though, so I might end up having like one roommate or something (which still beats the 5 I have now, haha)

Haha ya, our dining food is actually #1 in the country and it's good food I hear, plus it is buffet style basically, like you can eat as much as you want, but I have never eaten it- I guess the money would be worth it if I ate it but, probably not too cause I don't eat much either- I think the food situation is the worst honestly xD That will be nice moving to your own place! I mean, the cost is never easy of course but I don't think I could do roommates- I room with my sister and we have shared a room all of our life so it works but I couldn't be with anyone else xD But ya, one beats 5 for sure xD A lot easier to make decisions and everything and of course, brings the cost down from just one!

Yeah, I think most uni/college students I know would agree that the whole food situation is pretty messed up. It was good quality for us too, meal-hall-wise. Like there were definitely a decent number of healthy/local options. Downside being, I definitely indulged a bunch after first moving here and then quickly got sick of it, since they were on like a rotation for meals/it got repetitive.
And yeah, I'm looking forward to it! It would basically bring me down almost $100/month of what I'm paying right now. Hmm, it's weird with me because I'm an only child/you'd think I'd have problems sharing my space, but I think as long as I had a roommate who had some similar personality traits/interests and was polite and respectful, I wouldn't mind sharing the space. Heck, I'm even ok with people having pets with them, as long as the landlord allows it.

Ya- like when you first get here, its cool but then you just get sick of it and you just want to go back to your own food and cooking ect! Oh wow, that's really good! I hope it all works out for you! And haha ya I have 2 siblings and I've always shared space with them so you would think that I'd be ok with it, but I am not xD That's good that you don't mind it though! I mean, having an apartment of sorts might not be too bad cause you have your own rooms, but I'm just not even close enough with anyone so I wouldn't even have anyone to room with anyway xD If I had someone who had pets though- that might just win me over tbh lol like I don't know you, but you have a pet- I am rooming with you xD

I mean, that being said I've had a lot of people tell me I don't fit a lot of the "only child" stereotypes, so I guess it all lines up? And haha, I don't blame you, I feel like after sharing space for that long you'd want a break/your own spot.
And that's totally understandable. Pets are so fun to have around (unless they're terribly misbehaved I guess, then it can get a little stressful). I don't currently have a pet living with me (I did have a fish named Watson but he died about a month ago, still miss him). I have a dog back home though I've had since I was a kid, and I luck out enough petting people's doggos and cats around here (we have a pedestrian campus, so people are always out walking their animals).

I always wondered what it would be like as an only child- I feel like I would get so lonely but at the same time, I would have liked to have time alone cause I never have a moment by myself xD True true xD
Ya, I get that. Someone I knew had a roommate who had registered a rabbit and she didn't cage the rabbit and it ended up eating through my friends things and so she requested to leave the room bc the the girl wouldn't do anything about it Aww that's sad about your fish! My dad wanted to get me a fish but I said no cause I would get too sad if it died o: I have two dogs and cats at home though and I wish I had em here xD You can have dogs or small animals in your dorms if you get them registered- like if you have a disability of sorts, but they don't allow many They have this course at my school where you can train service dogs and they live in the dorms with you and I want to do it but it doesn't fit into my schedule sadly

Oh wow, our residences were super strict on pets. The year I joined, they said nothing but fish in small bowls, and now they don't even allow that. That's one of the reasons I moved as well, they were super strict with rules and I just didn't even feel like I was living the university experience anymore? But it was all because of a select few people too who ruined everything for everyone else basically :/
My parents were actually hesitant about getting me the fish for the same reason! Ah well though, he had a decently long fish life (he was older when I bought him and lived a year with me, so we estimated he was about 3-4). I'm potentially going to get a new fish in the near future (I want to name him Spock, haha). I find them really relaxing to have around/to watch when you're resting your eyes from studying.
That's so cool about the dog-training course! We get visits from therapy dogs a couple times a year around exams, but that's about it. I know one of the schools I'm looking at for grad school has a puppy room 24/7 though. They bring in dogs/puppies from the local shelters so they get some quality time with humans/the students get to destress. I know I get pretty bad test anxiety so it's a nice thought.

Ya, I mean, they are pretty strict but there are allowances xD The only pets you are actually allowed to have is fish in a small bowl, but people don't actually listen to it xD As long as they don't get caught, people do what they want xD That really stinks though that the rules got super strict and that it was all ruined :/
That's not too bad for a fish! At least he lasted as long as he did! Aw that would be so adorable if you named it Spock though omg lol And ya, I mean, just having something other than your studies that you can have around!
I know- I so wish I could do it cause it seems like such a great thing to do! We have dogs around exams as well, although I've never been cause the times they were on campus didn't fit with my schedule. That would be so cool if you ended up going to that school though! Dogs are so great! They have a greyhound shelter about a mile from campus that I am looking to try and volunteer at next semester though which should be fun! Speaking of exams though...same o_o I have 2 tomorrow, 1 Wednesday and 2 Thursday...and 2 research papers...ahhh! xD I am supposed to be studying now but....Idk I started studying last Wednesday so I figured a little break would be nice xD

Greyhounds are so awesome! They're definitely one of the kinds of dogs I'd consider getting in the future (a retired one though, I don't think I could keep up with a young one/probably wouldn't have the space/rescuing is always nice if you can, in my opinion). I always look forward to the therapy dog visits. I might actually be able to help volunteer/train some in my hometown this summer.
And wowee that is a busy exam schedule you've got there! I don't really have any more until after this reading week/spring break I'm on, and even after that they won't be happening for another couple of weeks. The annoying thing about being a science student here is you usually end up with multiple midterm exams for each class each semester (max I've ever had for a class was 3, and that sucked)

Ik! They are so cute too<3 Ya, this place is a shelter for all the retired and they do adoptions and in the perfect world, I'd love to adopt one when I graduate but it's always hard until you get settled! Hopefully you are able to do that this summer! It is such a great thing!
Ya- I really packed it in this semester xD I am taking 7 classes and I had to get approved for credit overload because of the amount of classes I am taking but both of the majors I am doing have so many requirements that I don't have much a choice but it is such a busy schedule! Ya:/ most of our classes all have 3 exams and some have 4 o: It does really stinks:/ Like this is the first round of exams and then we will have another after spring break, then one more and finals meh xD

Aww, that would be awesome! At this point/because I'm still focusing on/figuring out my life academia-wise, I'm not sure when I'll be able to get my own dog. My childhood dog who lives with my parents is pretty old (15), and I'm pretty sure my mum has mentioned potentially looking for another puppy in the near future, but I really want a dog that's just legitimately mine (and potentially my boyfriend's as well if we're still together/decide to get a place together). I really want a Corgi <3 I love their stubbly little legs!
Ahh, I suppose that makes sense with a double major. I've found it hard enough maneuvering around schedules with my double minor, haha! This year is actually my "quieter" year, I've managed to only take 4 classes a semester versus the usual 5. I'm not sure if I could survive overloading courses or no, seems like a lot of extra stress/time management.

Exactly- like in the perfect world, I would already have my own dogs and it would be great xD But sadly, its not easy when you have other more important things to worry about before thinking about getting a dog. That would be awesome if you got a puppy but that is true- especially where you won't be living with your parents forever, that you just want one that is your own lol Corgis are really cute! What kind of dog do you currently have?
Lol ya, I started a bit late with it too which it part of why it is so crazy. Because when I came here, I had been majoring in Animal Science but then I decided it wasn't for me and I went to switch into the business school but it is really selective so you can't just switch into it- you have to apply to it and before you can apply, you have to take all the pre reqs. So, second semester sophomore yr I applied for first semester of this year but the way it works, I would be able to take the classes until this semester. Also happens that my other major also required applying to it, but I could only apply to one of them at a time and it also had prereqs so I got into that this semester. So, I am a bit behind bc all the classes that I needed to take towards my major are closed to students outside the major so I couldn't take those until I got in xD I wish that I had known this before I applied to this college though bc I would have gone straight into my current major and been able to be on track with it, but I'm at least glad I am in it now. It was kinda uncomfortable freshman yr and the beginning of this year because I felt like I wasn't part of this place and I had no idea where I was going or would be going but ya...It is very stressful- but I'll get it done lol I will probs have to do this for the next few semesters as well, but oh well lol 4 classes is nice; although 4 is still a lot tbh- like it really depends on the classes you take too cause some have so much more work than others xD A double minor though- that's pretty cool! And you said french? Is it hard? I wanted to continue with spanish in college but I was afraid xD

I currently have a Shih-Tzu! She was a surprise from my parents when I was a little kid. She's got quite the personality, haha. Very independent, definitely acts more like a cat than a dog (like, she won't always come when called, she kind of approaches you at her own leisure, haha. And her favourite person is my dad, so she always tries to cuddle with him and likes it when he holds her like a baby).
That sounds like a really tricky situation with school! Glad you're able to work around it though! I know one of my friends back in first year was trying to get into the commerce program here, and unfortunately it was on hiatus that year so he was also a year behind and had to just focus on getting classes in for his minor at that point (which was computer science if I remember correctly).
And yep, French is one of my minors :3 I come from a French background but most of what I know comes from French Immersion I did back in grade school. I really like it. It can be tricky at times but if you put the workload in it's not so bad at all. It's a nice way to get a break from the sciences.

Wait seriously?? Omg! Lol I have a shih-tzu too!! Well, two of them! They are the only type of dog I've ever had! My shih-tzu who is 10, she acts like a human xD And she runs the house The other is 3 and she is basically a cat xD She actually takes all of the cat toys and plays with them, always has a toy in her mouth and if you try to pet her and she doesn't, she has to circle around till she finds one xD She is my little snuggle muffin xD I like to think that I am her fav person haha They are so great though! What colors are she?
Ya- it was but I am glad that is has all worked out the way it has thus far though! The schools don't always make it easy! And especially the way the scheduling is- you gotta plan it just right and hope for the best!
Nice! Thats cool! I never took french, but I think it would have been cool too! Instead, I took spanish in hs cause we were all required in 8th grade, so I was like well, I'll just stick with what I know xD But I want to learn another language! Oh ya, totally! Gotta switch things up every once and a while!
