Blah all my threads are dead. Dx So while I'm taking a break from Final Fantasy XIV I decided to make this little thread.
I ask before you join that you are willing to type a paragraph at the very least. I prefer 2-3 paragraphs, but one will suffice.
I tend to rp males, but if you want to be the male I'll rp a female.
I was thinking princess meets traveling mercenary while on a vacation. During said vacation her family is killed, and she goes to the mercenary for help.

(I don't like the prompt I used for this plot after trying to make a starter for it. So instead I'm just going to type out something, and you can make your character whatever you want. xD From merchant, warrior, princess, peasant, etc. Also I don't know how much you prefer to type so I'm just keep going for a bit. xD) The sound of rushing waves, and rain could be heard as the old large wooden beast of a ship continued on it's way to the docks of Elteia a small coastal town of the kingdom Amira. The ship bore the sigil of Amira indicting it was an army ship. Aboard the ship was many men going about their job to keep the boat going. However inside the guts of the ship laid a chained up man sitting in a chair with bruises all over him. He was currently moving to sit up straight again when a large piece of steel in the shape of a stick bashed into his face. "You stole the Queen's necklace.... Why?" A man in black armor questioned as he stared at the man tied up in the chair. However the man did not respond so the dark armored warrior hit him again and again and again. "WHY?!" He growled again waiting a moment before realizing only silence would answer him again. This time he untied the chained man, and quickly tossed him on the ground before slamming his foot on the man's face planting it firmly on the ground. "I see.... Well I have no need for a mute." He sighed as he got off the man, and backed up a bit. It seemed the beating was over until the prisoner tried to move to his feet. He didn't get very far before the dark knight slammed his armoured foot right in the face of the man. "Throw him overboard." The dark knight commanded to two soldiers standing nearby. They picked up the beaten man slowly moving him up the stairs into the raging battle beaten man and ocean that was going on above deck. They then fought through the rain to the railing, and quickly tossed the man overboard.
Darkness soon consumed the man as his beaten body reached the storming oceans. His body was pushed back, and forth through the waves of the storm. To him he was simply sleeping as his body was thrashed around violently the head kick from earlier had knocked him out cold. However the gods seemed to favor the man as he was soon washed upon the shores of Amira's old sailor town known as Yorula. A small coastal town that used to be more popular before the town of Elteria would replace it as the main trade post city. Now town of Yorula was mainly a fishing, and farming town home to many peasants. Washed ashore on this almost forgotten town of Yorula the beaten man was laid to waste there. Until a young boy seemed to take interest in the knocked out man. He called to his parents who would take him home to help the man recover.
Week went by with the man not waking in fact an entire month went by. It wasn't until a familiar man entered the city before the beaten man woke. It was a normal sunny day in Yorula when a man riding a black horse, and wearing black armor came riding into the small town with a small army. "He said burn it." The dark knight sighed as he looked at the village through his dark helmet. He slowly got off his horse grabbing a torch from another soldier who was carrying a wagon of unlit ones. Then he simply found a nearby fire of the village, and the soldiers began destroying the city no warning, nothing. The worst part was when people tried to escape they would be killed via blade, or arrow. When escaped why the soldiers would simply say nothing. It wasn't until the knight entered the house when it would be revealed. He grabbed the mom of the boy who saved the bruise man, and slammed her against a wall. "Where.... is he?" He asked simply to woman who screamed in response as the man didn't wait for an answer before driving the blade into her stomach. As he did a man came up from behind him, her husband who attempted to stab him with a knife however his armour blocked any damage. The man then simply turned around beheading the man quickly. "So many lives all because I lost my temper." He sighed, and moved to head upstairs when the little boy came out of his room his eyes filled with rage. He ran at the dark knight, and jumped. Unlike his father's attempt the boy ended up doing damage as his weight caused the man to fall down the stairs. However it only took a few moments for the knight to throw the boy off, and let his soldiers have at him. "If only they knew they were protecting a demon." He sighed as he removed his helmet revealing himself to be a large man with shaggy dark brown hair. "A demon, and a thief." He sighed moving up the stairs.
However before he could reach the room with the bruised man a large explosion went off, and the dark knight was throw into a pile of rubble. "What in the hells?!" He groaned as he store up to see what caused that. However his answer was given by his soldiers first. "General.... that's no demon..... That guy was a ...... summoner!!!" They yelled, and the dark knight could barely react before he saw it. Bahamut a large dragon type creature. "No wonder he wanted that necklace...... it belonged to the last summoner who lived. The queen wore it for fashion." The dark knight sighed as he slowly got to his feet swing his sword out as he looked at the dragon calmly. "This is why she called me to do this...." The dark knight sighed as he crushed his hand into a fist as a dark aura surrounded him. "Only a man who consumed to darkness could take on such a man." He laughed as his body grew with power. He then inhumanly moved quickly to the dragon, and jumped up to reach it in the air.
However when he did he soon realized something the last summoner wasn't like the others. Normally they were females who only relied on the summons in battle, but as the dark knight jumped in the air he wasn't meant with dragon talons. No a white blade slammed into his head sending him down to the ground. "Dark knights might be the way to kill Aeons, but not Paladins summoners." A voice informed as it landed on the ground. "This is payback for killing my friends, and torturing me." The man laughed before raising his blade in the air the dragon landing behind him opening it month to let out some fire. The dark knight had no time to react before the blade entered his chest followed by the intense feeling of being burnt alive. "Remember who killed you, Elwin Clears the last summoner." That was last thing he heard.
-Three years later-
The story of Yorula would become the tale that would spark a certain rebellion against the king. However this tale was just starting the rebellion at this point was merely a few people in the shadows. Though the name Elwin never made it into the tale since the man who was the last summoner had disappeared after that battle never to be heard from again. The rebellion would mean nothing without it's leader so many people would look for the man. In small villages unchecked by the king they would hold festivals in hopes of finding the man guessing he had amnesia, and that was why he wouldn't make himself known, little did they know.....
"Shut it Ray!" The voice of a man sleeping went off as a rooster did it's daily song. "Dammit Ray let me sleep a bit longer." The voice complained this time a fist thrusting towards the sound, but missing the black bird who in return pecked the hand of the white haired sleeping man. "YO.... Not cool Ray!" The voice yelled as he jumped up from the pain, and rubbed his hand. "Man you take someone in, and this is how they repay you." The white haired man complained as he rubbed his hands in attempts to lesson the pain. Elwin Clears the summoner, and paladin warrior was currently staying in the barn of a unknowing family. He had snuck in last night with his trusty partner Ray the rooster. The last three years Elwin hadn't been planning a rebellion like many thought the summoner would do.... No the young man instead continued his mission to become a true paladin, a warrior of the gods. He had to visit all the temples in the world to gain the approval of every priest, and in return the gods. Only then could he call himself a true paladin, however he also was going to every temple to find every Aeon. He only had three more temples, and three more Aeons to find before he was both a true Paladin, and true Summoner.
(Alright I hope this ambitious plot doesn't turn you off. ^^' It turn into more than a simple romance so I understand if you don't wanna do it now... However if you are still interested awesome! I figure you could either rp a mercenary, priest/priestess, or whatever who runs into Elwin. I figure if you rp a priest/priestess maybe they'd recognize Elwin as the son of the last summoner since the temples are close with the summoner, or where back when summoners were allowed to live. xD)

[Oh no need to be sorry. xD Alright, perfect, I'll type up a starter. She'll be about a year or two younger.]
The night before was terribly exhausting. Well at least to the figure who laid in bed. Eyes closed, not ready to yet stir, but knowing that she had duties that she needed to attend to. Though she was in no real hurry to attend to them, due to the long night she just had. The young Priestess, was at one of hospitals volunteering her help, working with the sick and injured. Though this was not any normal kind of place for healing, it was for all the patients who could not afford to seek attention from healers, like most of the wealthier families. These people were just left to die, though the Temple she works for had set up a place for them, and many Priest and Priestess with the knowledge would go and work on healing them, to the best of their ability. Though tragically quite a few it, is to late for and sadly pass on. Though they do have quite a few lucky survivors who's illness, or wound was treated in time, and that is what makes it all worth wild. The faces of people whom was extremely sick, turning around, and getting better everyday. The faces of glee, and surprise that they would live on, even though they were certain that they would perish. It was a wonderful thing to see, and causes a wonderful feeling inside of this young priestess. Which is why she didn't mind spending as much of her time there as she could give.
With a soft groan, she pushed herself up, and sat on the edge of the bed, grogginess clinging tightly to her. Head bowed slightly, trying to push it away, or at least some what at bay. Though it didn't seem to help to much, only cause her golden hair to fall into her face. Tucking the long strand of hair behind her ear, she stood up. Her cotton nightgown going back to her normal length to about her ankles. Blinking her eyes a few times, she scanned the room. Like most of the rooms here, it was quite simple. Tall stone walls on four sides, tall and intimidating. The bed was on the far right corner as it could go, with a small stand on the side. A large tapestry blanket hanging over the window, keeping the cool air out of the room. Nothing stood out much, besides the herbal books, that laid spread open on the stand, and a few on the ground. She was doing some reading, before bed the night before. Though besides that, it was a plain simple room like the rest of them.
Though it wasn't always like that. When she first moved into the room twenty-one years ago, when she was seven years old. Which it was right after her parents death. Her parents, and her were never well to do, and it was a sad day when both of her parents had died of a fever twenty-one years ago. The girl, whom is named Anthea, was taken in by the Temple. Which she was extremely lucky to be taken in, and given the chance to become a priestess. Anthea would give her life for those in the Temple, she cares for everyone like a family, and even more so that they saved her life. If they had not taken her in, she'd surely die on the streets. Either from sickness, or hunger, maybe even both. The thought of that made her shudder. Causing her to wake up the rest of the way. The thought of that was displeasing, though she has had it quite often. Blinking her bright eyes, she seemed to perk up a bit more. "No sense of hiding away any longer." She said making a tsking noise to herself. "Not a good thing to do, for a woman who has many things that needs to be done," and with that she hurried off to get ready.
Once ready she left her room. Anthea wore a dress that looked like the color of orange autumn leaves, though the sleeves where a very pale light brown. Golden blonde hair pulled back into a braid, the end of it falling to her waist. She walked down the hall, with walls made of stone, and the only light that came in was through the few windows that was provided in this wing. The air breeze was quite cool, it only being a little bit after dawn. It felt nice, but it caused goosebumps to go up her shoulder. "Good morning, Mister Artis." Anthea said with a smile, as a rather short pudgy man, who was passing her down the hall.
The Frenchman seemed quite surprised, and was not expecting to be spoke to. "Good morning, Anthea." The short pudgy man said though seemed to busy to have a conversation, since after the greetings he continued quickly down the opposite side.
Anthea just smiled, and continued down the path, she felt that today was going to be very productive, though most days usually were. Though she quite like that. Nothing feels better to her, than have a very productive and accomplishing day. Quickly going to the dining room, she sat and ate breakfast. Though she ate very little, many things were going through her mind. Especially different herbs, that she need to bring to Mistress Desmond, she gave her a list of herbs she needed to bring by today. Allowing one of the others whom was eyeing her food, to have the rest of it. She quickly stood up, and walked out of the door. She needed to get outside, she was done being inside the dark stone Temple, and to be able to feel free. Quickly walking down another dark long hallway, she sighed. The temple was incredibly huge, and this was only on of many buildings. She felt bad for those who come here for the first time. Like Mister Artis, the poor man had gotten lost who knows how many times. Though everyone here was more than willing to help out, and point him in the right direction.
Finally making it to the entrance, she hurried out, heading to the garden real fast. The sounds of animals could be heard from the barns not to far fro here. She smiled, as she listened to them. Though as soon as she had gotten to the garden she got to work quickly, not fearing to get her hands dirty at all. Gathering herbs, that she was requested to bring, to the hospital. Which was quite a good walk from here. They didn't put it real close to the temple, which was quite fine. It was a nice day for a walk any how. Though she could not leave without an escort, when she was finished there. Which is due to the fact that it was usually real late at night when she'd leave, and it was simply unsafe for her to go. So sadly a stable hand tended to bring an extra horse, and escort her back to the Temple. Anthea really did feel quite bad for poor Garret, he seemed to always be the one bringing her back, and she was always there so terribly late. The young priestess tries to make up for it, by baking him some things. Though she knew food didn't necessarily make up for lack of sleep.
Once all the herbs that she needed was gathered, and placed into a basket. She joined a small group of women who was headed the same way she was. Since it was always safer to travel through town in groups, rather than alone. Anthea knew all the young ladies, whom where headed to town. They where the few girls who went to volunteer quite often, like she did. Each of them carried something, mainly food that was left over from breakfast, most likely to take to the other volunteers who had been there since the crack of dawn. There was three other girls Colleen, Margaret, and Susannah. Anthea made up the fourth, and she walked a bit behind them. Not very interested in chatting with them today. She decided to hang back a bit, but was close enough to see them, and be in yelling distance if anything should happen. She let a small smile form on her face, as she enjoyed the beginning of warmth of the day. The four of them began to pass small farms as they headed into town. Laughter radiated from in front as they three chatted, birds sang, farm animals made all kinds of noises. It was perfectly, peaceful. Which she hoped it would stay that way.

Elwin didn't waste time to get his adventure started for the day, it also helped that he didn't lunge around much since he didn't like to waste gold, it was his father way to only spend gold when needed the merchant side of the odd man. No one really got to see his father in him it was always his mother's side. The last summoner who was quite well known throughout the world. She was gifted with the ability to use magic, and summon aeons who were capable of many feats from healing something you surely would die from if not for the summoner. She was considered a saint, and even had statues of herself in most temples. Elwin however did not as he had yet to do anything, he couldn't even save a village. However he would continue his voyage with his best friend Ray. He had lived quite the lonely life as his mother was killed soon after he was born while visiting the royal church. The was the day the king decided people who can control beast strong enough to destroy entire islands shouldn't be allowed life. From then Elwin had been raised by his father up until he was ten when his father was stabbed by a thief while doing his daily sales. After that Elwin had lived on his own sleeping in barns, and fields without asking most the time.
Standing upon his feet Elwin stretched as he let out a yawn. At this current point in time all he owned clothing wise was a pair of brown slacks he bought, and shoes. So he was forced to walk around oddly enough without a shirt. For when it came down to it being a illegal summoner, and a paladin in training didn't pay very well. So his scarred upper body was left for the world to see at least for today. "Maybe I'll make enough to buy a shirt today." He laughed as he rubbed his hairy chin he was quite an odd man for both roles he played. Most summoners had been females, and most paladins dressed fancy with clean cut hair, and beards. However Elwin was a male summoner, and had a bushy white beard, and long hair that when looked at from behind many would think he was a female. He would look like a plain beggar if it hadn't been for his white hair. A hair color that wasn't common at all in fact the only people in history who had white hair were the many summoners. Which most people in the temples knew he had run into three priest who knew he was the son of the last summoner.
Grabbing a large brown sack filled with a fancy nice looking dark blade the blade he took from the corpse of the dark knight he slayed. In the story people like to tell they claim he had a white blade of light, but really he used a normal sword the family had. Also in the bag was a black case containing his mother's necklace, or at the Queen would say her necklace. Elwin never really wore it since he didn't need it on him to summon just near him as it wasn't the necklace, but the jewels in said necklace that summoned. Besides those items he carried nothing else, not even a small sack of gold. The gold he made in a day would normally be used in the same day.
With that the lean man swung the bag to his back, and picked up Ray before he jumped down the ledge onto the first floor of the barn where a startled farmer lay. "Thanks for the place." Elwin quickly said before spiriting outside of the barn making his way to the nearby town. It didn't take him long as the farm wasn't that fair maybe half an hour to reach the large town. "With this temple Ray we'll be only two steps away from being a full fledge sum-" He stopped as a guard came into sight, and he continued walking in silence. He would visit the temple before attempting to find a job to buy a shirt, and get some food for himself, and Ray.
As his feet met the ground he soon found the road leading to the temple however before the temple he saw a group of ladies. They seemed to be heading somewhere so Elwin decided to look back to guess. The hospital came to mind he had seen quite a few priestess spend their time with the sick. He himself the person who should be visiting the hospitals tended to avoid them. Mainly because it took one wrong person for him to heal to go running to the king. "Morning ladies." Elwin greeted them trying to be friendly. As he spoke Ray popped his head over the shoulder giving a comical look to Elwin. Who would guess the last living summoner would carry around a rooster with him.
