Blair lifted her hand, gazing at it shake as she walked. God, she hated this. She'd considering amputating her arm easier than this. Her parents, unfortunately, had disagreed with that sentiment. She couldn't understand why. They were always preaching about purebred humans, how any remote taint deserved to be put down. But apparently their daughter didn't fall under that rule. Blair found it funny, considering they had never shown any particular compassion towards her.
The young hunter slowly climbed the small set of steps in front of the office building. It was an old manor that looked similar to some judicial building, all white with pillars and and a rotunda at the center. It was where Blair had grown up, and she could distinctly recall many nights hidden away in the bookshelves of the quaint, circular library, away from talks of killing and people fighting and all those nightmare inducing, family gatherings.
Slipping through the heavy doors, Blair's brow furrowed. Normally a servant hung around the entrance area, to help with any visitor's needs, but he seemed nowhere to be found. That was... mildly concerning. The girl took a deep breath, calling out none too loudly, "Rebecca? ...Arthur?" She frowned when she was answered only by the faint echo of the otherwise silent building. However, once quiet again, she noticed voices coming from one of the many office rooms. She tiptoed up to it, just in time to hear the occupants question.
"Normally, Students attend hunts solo. However, since you are new, you'll be assigned a partner. Temporarily. Kind of like, a shadow." Blair blurted out as she stepped into the room. One glance between the three, and it was hard to miss the family resemblance. Blair shared her mother's vibrant ginger hair and delicate bone structure, and her father's vaguely beady, brown eyes, and smaller mouth. She shitted her arm behind her back, looking towards her parents. "Could I speak with one of you for a moment?" In any other circumstance, Blair might have tried to offer initial kindness towards the newcomer, but at the moment she was only concerned with her own problem.

➳ BB-8 also sorry if you had other ideas for the mother you can just disregard the last paragraph then }} Aoife was surprised when someone who wasn't one of the couple answered. She turned around, slightly on the defensive side, but she realized quickly enough that this person must be related to them in some way. She looked very similar to both parents, so she guessed she must be their daughter. Good, good. She'd have a little support while she adjusted to working alone. She just hoped that her partner was good, or that they weren't a total loner. When you had people like this: experts working alone all the time, it was easy for them to not get along well with others. Her mother turned towards Blair and frowned. "Blair, we were introducing Ms. Aoife Fen here, and you've interrupted in the middle. Why don't you apologize and take her for a tour of the school?" her mother asked, but, as with any mother, it was most definitely a demand.

[ nah ur good ^-^ ]
Blair looked between her mother and the stranger who had turned around. From her slight jaw-drop and knitted brow, her confusion was obvious. It was partly of an indignant nature, and partly out of the anxious need to fix her particular... issue. She shifted from foot to foot in silent for what felt like far too long to herself, but in reality was probably more like two seconds.
Puffing out a breath of air, the young woman forced a kind smile on to her face. "Absolutely, Mrs. Rosamund. We could go now, if you're done here?" Her easily-read brown gaze now moved to take note of Aoife. She looked like a formidable hunter herself, she doubted she would have trouble adjusting to the Academy. With what momentary relief she got away from her mother's gaze, her smile seemed to ease into something more genuine and friendly.
While they decided, Blair ducked her head and moved over towards a cabinet at the side of the room. Using her body to block her actions from view, she messed around with a drawer for a bit before turning back around. She really hoped that this newcomer did not question her. At the least, the family resemblance might protect her a little from scrutinization.

Thanks for introducin' me," she concluded. She would much rather be with a friendly kid than stuck any longer with these two.
She shook hands with the two once more, saying goodbye and thanking them again before she walked towards Blair. "So your name's Blair? If you didn't hear, mine's Aoife," she introduced herself.
She wondered briefly what Blair had wanted to talk to her parents about. Maybe it was just something normal. From what she could tell, there was nothing particularly strange about this girl.
Maybe she had some deep, dark secret though. Aoife would never guess; although she didn't like talking about herself, she wasn't inherently suspicious of others. In fact, she liked people most if they talked more about the present and less about the past or about themselves. You had to be focused on the hunt, anyway, right?

OKay here goes x3
Gaster was once again, in his lab, and once again he had been at it all day. He lifted a small vile of bright red liquid up to his eyes and peered into it. He made a satisfied noise and placed it in the vile holder before he moved across the room to his notepad where he wrote several more lines on top of the pages and pages of Wingdings that he already had. He stood up to stretch, his bones crackling pleasantly despite the sound. He looked over at the door and half wondered how Asgore and Toriel were getting along. He himself had only met Toreil just recently when Asgore introduced her as his soon-to-be wife. He sighed to himself and moved to put away what he had been working on. For the moment, it was only precatuionary as the looming rumors and threats of war continued to rise. He placed the substances in the fridge and his notes in the filing cabneit by the door.
He flicked through the files now, absently muttering a loud as he read the tilte of each file.

Blair glanced down for a moment, noticing that her hand was still shaking. Thankfully, it wasn't terribly noticeable. As Aoife approached her, she smiled up at the girl. "Yep! Blair-Blair. It doesn't lend itself well to nicknames," she joked casually, holding a hand out to her. Looking past her shoulder, she noticed her parents conversing. Good or bad, she had no clue. But she bet that Aoife didn't want to be around them much longer either. Her parents didn't exactly ooze a comfortable atmosphere. Without waiting, she reached for Aoife's hand, holding on to it tightly as she pulled her towards the door, accompanied by a mumble of, "Come on."
It wasn't until they were out of the building and walking across the lawn that she released Aoife's hand and released a breath she had been holding. "Sorry about that. I thought you might want to get out of there. My parents aren't the most fun to be around." She laughed, although there seemed to be a hue of fear hidden in her tone. "Anyways, it's nice to meet you! Don't worry, this place isn't that scary. Especially not for someone like you."
