would love to roleplay this era with any of you wonderful people. You don't need to be literate, but I would like to roleplay with someone who has at least basic knowledge of this era. I would like to roleplay the higher class and if any you're interested in having our characters betrothed I would absolutely love that, though it is not necessary.

Yes. Which gender do you prefer to roleplay? And what do you think about a betrothal?

(I'm fine with either gender, though I tend to do males. I'm fine with them being betrothed.)

Lydia Kalvenime was sitting in her library, hard, red-covered book in hand, barely any light streaming in through the blue curtains that hung over the window. An aged, ivory cup that was tinged slightly tan with age. A dulled, dark red, open rose was painted on the cup and it sat on a small, matching plate. Her long cherry-blonde hair was pulled up in a messy bun. Since she wasn't expecting any guests, or none that she could remember at that moment, she hadn't bothered to let her personal laddies maids put much effort into her apperance. She wore a simple violet dress with only one under-skirt and simple, tight sleeves with dark purple trimming on her dress. She set down the book and picked up the small plate and held it up, gently grabbing the tea-cut and taking a sip of the dark orange-colored tea.

Since their betrothed, technically not married yet, just engaged since childhood so they'd live in separate manors and estates, but I have no clues about the job situation XD. )

The sun beamed down on the bustling city of London as the town citizens went on during their daily business. Like the rest of the citizens Thomas Buckingham a thirty year old ex-military general was currently on his way to go visit his betrothed Lydia. He had recently been sent home from the army due to a leg injury sustained from being shot. Luckily he could still walk just a bit off, that was way currently in his right hand was a black cane he was using to walk with. He hadn't had time to write to Lydia in a while so he assumed she probably figured he died, or something. So he decided to make a surprise appearance at her manor to visit her. He was nicely dressed with a black silk suit, and a black top hat sitting firmly atop his fuzzy shaggy long black hair. He looked basically like himself despite the cane. He soon reached Lydia's manor, and was led to her library by a servant. Reaching the door to the library he gave it a quick knock after sending the servant off.

"I'm reading. Whatever problems are going on I'm sure you can discuss it with the butler or First Footman." Lydia said after setting the cup of tea down and picking up her book again. She had assumed it was just another one of her servants so she paid it little attention. She was soon captivated by the book once more, her dark blue eyes following each word as though it were a trail she should follow, the dim light bringing attention to the yellow flecks that scattered across her iris.

Thomas entered the library despite her reply to his knocking, and looked around the room his eyes looking at the many books lined on the shelves. It was quite odd to see so many books that weren't written on war tactics. "While I'm sure your butler, and first footman would enjoy my company I do hope you would enjoy it more." Thomas spoke in a joking manner as he looked at Lydia for the first time in years. He had taken his military job quite serious since his father, grandfather, great grandfather, and even his great great grandfather were known as military generals. So he had wanted to keep up his families legacy as best he could, he had hoped he done so as he doubt anymore work would come for him with a bad leg. He had changed quite a lot physically since leaving for the military he had quite a scrawny look to him prior to joining. He also never let his hair grow out back then. However here he was long shaggy black hair, bushy beard, and a bad leg that needed the support of a cane. Well it didn't need the cane, but it sure helped take the pressure off the leg. "Though I know how much you love reading, so if you insist I can go look for the butler's company." He teased as he turned his gaze from the book back to Lydia.

Lydia's face flushed red with embarrassment and shock. "T-Thomas! Y-you should've written your coming!" She was so embarrassed that he was watching her in her dreadful outfit. He'd never seen her in something so... So untidy! Yet, she was extremely relieved to see him. She set down the book and walked over, hugging him. Tight. She had missed him so much. He hadn't written in ages. She knew her actions must be improper and not lady like, but at that moment she really didn't care. "Don't scare me like that again." She breathed, prying herself from him to look him in the eyes. Then she heard steps and her personal lady's maid was at the library door. "My Lady, a bath has been prepared." She had totally forgotten about that request, it had been nearly an hour since she requested it. "I hope you can bare to wait an extra thirty?" She asked hopefully, and, as though on queen, one Valet walked into the doorway next to her Lady's Maid. "Sir Thomas, a room has been prepared." She sighed, looks like her servants had gone ahead and made preparations once they got word of his arrival. "Looks like you now have an appointment as well." She said in a teasing manner.

"I spent the last few years being all proper showing up unannounced seemed fun." Thomas stated speaking the truth during his time in the army he had to be quite proper following all orders, and later when he was named a general he had to be role model so now that he was retired he felt like acting a bit more free now. See Lydia like that didn't really bother him since he wasn't one to care about fancy hairstyles, and all that. If Lydia wanted to wear a brown sack like some of the homeless he'd really care less. When she hugged him he put an arm around her to return with a hug of his own though he was never really a physical intimacy kind of guy. "I've waited years, thirty more minutes is nothing." He commented to her as he turned to the maid. "Well I guess I get to have that talk with the butler anyways." He laughed as he followed a servant to the prepared room so Lydia could take her bath.

Lydia smiled kindly at her betrothed before following her Lady's Maid to her room where three other maids waited. "Find something suitable for me to wear. Sir Thomas is here and he's already seen me like this, I don't want to make any more bad impressions." She instructed before heading into her larger bathroom. Warm, steamy air greeted her and another maid waited inside. She helped unclothed Lydia.... Lydia stood in front of her mirror turning and standing in different positions to see all of the dress she had been clothed in. (Sorry short gtg)
