"No twolegplace cat hunts and fights as naturally as he does...remember those ratty young cats he chased off? They were no older than he was. Maybe these forest cats'll be better than what you described in that battle with those rouges you met." Indigo offered, his long fur working well against the cold air.
Feather kept his eyes on the Thunderpath, seeing that it was a decent distance.

Suki nodded "My aunts are somewhere in those clans.. my father told me so. When I was younger, I always wanted to go find them.. which is why I joined the rouge group.. but I never did find them."
(Did I tell you that Suki's father is Smitty which is Mistyflower and Softmist's brother? lol)

"Maybe we can meet them? I think there are alot of these clans." Indigo offered.

Suki sighed "I don't know which clan they're are in.. or if they're even still alive.. my father is very old."

"We'll have hope. And surely it can't be too hard to ask around!" Indigo, hopeful and naieve as always, grinned to his mate, now walking parallel to the Thunderpath.

Suki nodded, smiling softly as she looked around at their surroundings that were quickly becoming unfamiliar. "Feather, how much further away is it?" she asked curiously.

"It's about a half to a two thirds day travel...a little long but not bad." Feather smiled back at his foster parents, mind whirling with faint memories and fantasies of how Thunderclan must be. He barely remembered his family, but they are in his memories. Two sisters, a brother, a father with a voice no one could forget, a mother kinder than anything. It drove him forwards into the unknown.

Suki nodded, picking up her pace a little bit to keep up with the young tom.

Feather led them for a while longer, stopping at a patch of trees. "We can hunt here for a bit." He offered.
Indigo nodded and looked at Suki.

Suki nodded, scenting the air for prey, she wrinkled her nose "The twoleg path is messing up everything!"

Indigo frowned, but watched as Feather pressed his skillful nose to the ground and crouched. In a few moments, Feather was holding a squirrel.
Indigo mewed to her. "Let's try the trees he's near." He chuckled.

Suki purred as her foster son came back with the squirrel. She followed after Indigo after he spoke.

Indigo grinned as he scented bird. The tall tom was good at hunting birds. He saw the blackbird and nodded to Suki. "Lead it towards me."

Suki nodded and skirted around the bird, purposely snapping a twig behind it so it would fly off in Indigo's direction.

Baaack!
Indigo smiled and leaped for the bird, catching it between strong paws. He'd share this with his mate. He waved his tail for her to join him and Featherpaw to eat.

Suki settled down inbetween Indigo and Feather.

"What can you tell us about this place?" Indigo asked Feather as they ate.
Feather hummed. "I remember...voices, mostly. My father's voice was very warm and funny sounding. My mother...oh, she had the softest, kindest voice. Like a breeze. I remember lots of trees. And Starclan." He smiled.
"Those ancestor stars you talk about? Sounds interesting." Indigo nodded.

Suki looked up at the sky trying to imagine it full of past ancestors, she wondered if her aunts were watching from above. "That's a comforting thought though isn't it.. that after you're gone, you're not really gone?"

"It certainly is...Well, wherever I go, I'd want you with me." Indigo smiled gently to Suki, nuzzling her as he finished his last bite.
"We ready to go?" Feather purred, liking how happy they were together.

Indigo nodded as Featherpaw began leading them again.
As time passed, the trail grew woodsier in one direction and more barren on the other side of the Thunderpath. Feather assumed their destination was to the trees. But he knew he had to wait for the strong scents, as one of the rouges had instructed.

Suki stayed close to Indigo, shuddering at all the unfamiliar scents.

In a dark alley in the twolegplace city, a small she-cat walked cautiously, eyes flicking around nervously as she walked. Her fur, which was once clean, sleek and shiny, was now ruffled and dirty.

Spade wandered along the alleys alone. She had a lot on her mind. She thought about her father and his new lady friend. She flexed her claws in annoyance, more competition.

The she-cat, Leopardpaw, sighed and sat down. She had no idea where she was, she was hungry, and missed her parents. Leopardpaw shook her head furiously, muttering to herself. She couldn't miss them. She left because Leafpaw couldn't stand her, so why bother staying?

Spade paused when she scented another cat near by. She didn't recognize the scent so she moved forward to step around the corner to face the cat. "Who are you?" She asked with an edge to her voice.

Leopardpaw jumped slightly at the sudden voice and jumped up, matted fur bristling, "None of your business. Go away!" She snapped, glaring at her.

Spade let out a growl and stepped forward. "I wouldn't tell that to me. This is my territory kit. Now who are you?"

Leopardpaw stepped back, "I don't care if it's your stinking territory. I said it's none of your business, so back off." She growled, crouching low and ready for a fight if the she-cat decided to attack.
