"Raven." He meowed, repeatkng it. "I suppose if we were on different terms I could say nice to meet you, though that sentiment doesn't seem appropriate in this situation." At the mention of territory he stopped for a moment, shocked. He tasted the air for Sparrowclan scent marks and found none. "Hmm. It does seem as if I crossed the border doesn't it. A simple mistake I assure you." Does the clan know there's a group of rouges living around here? I have to let Sparrowstar know back at camp! "How many of you are there...?" He asked curiously, sitting down to face the she-cat.

A brief but genuine smile flitted across Raven's muzzle at Embertail's comment. She watched him curiously as he continued, narrowing her eyes slightly in concentration. He doesn't seem to be lying, but... She mirrored him as he sat down, wrapping her dark tail around her similarly-colored paws and tilting her head slightly. "I wouldn't go asking you how many cats your little clan has, now would I?" She replied, her light, easy tone masking a flicker of suspicion. "It's not strategic. What if there were ever an ambush? Not," she added, her eyes gleaming with dark amusement, "that that would ever happen, of course."

"Hmm I suppose that's true. I'll keep that in mind." Embertail kept up the cool facade but inwardly was panicking. An ambush?! Now I must tell Sparrowstar! But then I'll be questioned for being out of our territory. "Now it wouldn't be strategic to have even mentioned an ambush, even in a joking way. Now of course, the clan will be alert." He remarked. It was a warning in a way, while also an attempt at wit. He felt the strange need to impress this rouge. He noted that she mirrored his posture, and relaxed a bit. It was doubtful she would try and attack, unless he provoked her.

Raven's eyes flashed with amusement, impressed by Embertail's refusal to be intimidated; she hadn't expected that, nor the warning in his words. "Good thing it wasn't a threat, then," she purred, only that brief shift in her eyes breaking her unruffled exterior as she inwardly chided herself for her slip-up, even if an official ambush hadn't yet been planned—at least to her knowledge. Never to be outdone or show weakness, however, she bared her teeth in a feline smile. "Not that your guarding would matter anyway," she purred. It was a bluff—or, at least, she didn't know enough about Sparrowclan's numbers or skill to know without a doubt that it was true—but Raven was never one to admit weakness. "Anyway," she added smoothly, "how do you know we're the hostile ones? For all I know, you could be a spy for Sparrowclan readying to attack us."

"Very good." He noted, giving a small smile. The tom stared at her for a moment before responding. She seemed strong enough, well enough to fend for herself. But she mentioned a companion? Taking a quick look around he saw no other cats and gave a slight frown. There was no "companion" in sight. Was that a bluff? His demeanor changed as she very calmly dissed Sparrowclan. "Our guarding is quite impressive, why don't you get your ragtag group together and find out?" He smirked. "A spy for Sparrowclan? Thats quite an interesting idea. Hadn't had that thought before, maybe I'll suggest it to Sparrowstar, thanks for the idea!"

Raven chuckled. "Like one of you could manage to stay hidden among us! You all stink of loyalty; the Sparrowclan scent gives you away before you even wander into sight." Her yellow eyes glittered with cold humor, but beneath, they began to smolder with suspicion. I'll have to tell Glade to be on the lookout for unfamiliar scents at the borders, just in case. Looking at the tom, he didn't seem to Raven like the spying type—a warrior, sure, but not a hidden threat. And clan cats are too noble for that kind of thing, anyway, she assured herself, mostly just to make herself stop thinking about it. She lifted her head again, snapping back to focus. "'Get our group together and find out?' Is that a challenge?" She bared her glittering teeth in a teasing smile. "Because I'd be happy to arrange it."
(The sass levels between these two x3 Also I have no idea where Glade went, oops...)

Hi everyone! I think Fleetheart's kits eyes have opened now, and e names are... Rowankit, Asterkit, Tigerkit, and Lilykit. So I will do there "sheets" later today!))

Glade stayed quiet, letting Raven do the speaking. It was no surprise to him that she would fire back a comeback at the warrior. He finally appeared from behind Embertail. "And we wouldn't want that, Raven," he started to walk over to his other group-mate. "they don't want to do anything they would regret... Unless clan cats are as stupid as they sound." His muscles rippled beneath his black coat while his shoulders rolled his way over. Glade took a seat aside to Raven, sweeping his tail over his paws swiftly.

Alderblaze had been snuggling the kits for hours. The only sound that was heard was Fleetheart's small snores and the quiet birds chirping. The den grew dimmer and dimmer, the day was ending. He stayed up until the light beams disappeared from view. He let his head on his paws and wrapped his tail around his beloved kits. Hey! He felt small paws thudding on his back. Alderblaze lifted his gaze to find himself in the nursery. He turned to find the kits, squirming on his flank. "What are you guys doing?" He smiled, pulling them off. Tigerkit's eyes flittered open to reveal clear olive eyes, like his mate's. "F-Fleetheart!" He nuzzled her quickly, waking her up. "Their eyes are opening!" ( wildfire118 there it is!) |

"Oh wow... THEY ARE!" Fleetheart was freaking out at the sight of Tigerkit's eyes opening! She was so happy, she started to tear up in front of them. "I guess they are officially apart of the clan now!" She looked at the other kits that eyes were not officially opened yet, and then she saw the hazel, brown eyes of Rowankit. Fleetheart looked at them knowing that the eyes are the windows of all of her kits soul. She was so proud of her, and her kits. Especially her mate, Alderblaze too! She looked at Alderblaze and smiled, just smiled.....

Alderblaze didn't quite get why she was so... happy. Well i am no shecat. he shrugged off the thought and watched the kits instead. Asterkit lifted his eye lids and exposed beautiful hazel twisted eyes. Now, Lilykit was the only remaining kit with unopened eyes.

The tom gave a polite smirk trying to hide his shock at the fact there WAS another cat. He assumed it was a bluff on Ravens part, but that seemed to not be the case. (sorry it's short) |

Raven, whose eyes were trained intently on Embertail's, thought she noticed a slight shift in his expression as Glade appeared. She couldn't be sure—it had been fleeting, visible for less than a moment—but...fear? She grinned at the warrior as Glade spoke, careful to show off all of her thorn-sharp teeth, but stayed silent for the moment. In all honestly, she was just a bit disappointed by her superior's appearance; we were having such a fun conversation! Her eyes seemed to say, dark with fake mournfulness and bright with teasing as she did her best to hide the reality that she still wasn't used to answering to anyone. Not that Glade will punish me for speaking out. "'Coming from a rogue?'" She finally interjected when her few seconds of silence used the last of her admittedly very sparse patience and restraint. Her yellow eyes gleamed. "What's that supposed to mean?"

I suppose they wouldn't have known how the clans feel about them. The tom stared at Glade for a moment before meowing. "Clan cats have always been thought to be more intelligent. We organized into groups to help care for each other. We share the prey and help grow a strong community." He stopped, overcome with sudden distaste. "Rouges on the other hand are know to be vicious and violent, attacking without being provoked. They don't band up in groups, and when they do, if a cat no longer contributes, they get killed." Mind racing, Embertail just began blurting out stories he had heard from the elders at a young age, never mind if they were true or not. "Rouges are.. cruel and vicious." He finished weakly. A single thought was prominent in his mind. Not all of them are. She wasn't. |

Nightheart settled down. "Well, it all started when I had just joined Sparrowclan. You see, a lot of the clan didn't really trust me back then, as I was an outsider that had just joined, and I had neglected to share by backstory." Nightheart paused and gathered his thoughts. "Then a warrior patrol came back terrified, and I overheard their report to Sparrowstar."

"Interesting? Thats one way of putting it." The tom looked over at Raven for a fleeting second before turning back to Glade. "I'll indulge you. What exactly would you like to know?" |
