(Hey Sand!)
Firestrike shrugged, a smile crossing his muzzle at the thought of having something to do. "Sounds good," He replied, his ears perking up as he began to scan the area for any sounds or scents that might betray the location of prey.
Not waiting for a reply from Brackenpaw, Fawnpaw lifted her tail and pranced off in a random direction, shaking out her fur as she went. It was hard to navigate with the thick blanket of snow that already coated everything, so she settled into a slow pace, her gaze flicking around as she tried to adjust to the blinding white coat masking the familiar land. "It's so beautiful!" She murmured half to herself.

Moonshadow had a felt a bit of wind before but it shouldn't be in the way as she went deep into the forest before climbing onto a tree as she disliked moors. " Birds .... " She grinned before leaping from the tree and scaring the birds. Chasing up the tree she used one claw to it down and it fell limp as she bit it and started to run down the tree.

(( Im confused. Is Hawkclan a bordering clan or no ? Do we have a border page ? ))

(@dλπɢ Ƭнιsτlεs Hawkclan was a border clan back when we were on the old forums, but I don't think it was ever remade ( 𝓓𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓱 𝓑𝓻𝓪𝓶𝓫𝓵𝓮 --do you want to remake it or no?) so there's currently no border page or anything, but there may be in the future) Firestrike watched Moonshadow's hunt, still half-focused on trying to locate some prey of his own—he had never been the best at tracking. "Nice catch!" He called up to her, parting his jaws to taste the air impatiently, hoping to find something so the she-cat wouldn't show him up. Luckily, the warm scent of mouse ticked his nose, and he began to sniff around for it absently while he waited for Moonshadow to climb down.

Embertail murmured a quick farewell to Foxrunner, thanking her for going out on a hunt. "Good catch." He meowed again, before awkwardly walking away. He picked up a small shrew from the fresh kill pile, and went to sit down in the shade, away from the prying eyes of his clanmates.
Fishkit squealed in delight as Eaglewing gave them a badger ride. He had heard these were fun, but now he actually experienced it. "This is so much fun!!" The tom squeaked. He hoped they would have some other kits to play with soon, so they could also train with them as apprentices. Fishkit couldn't believe he hd been scared of Eaglewing before this. The tom was so much fun!

She leaped down. " Thanks. I dislike moor hunting. I love the protection of trees. " She felt the cold breeze in her fur.

Bumblepaw admired the scenery... at least, until he tripped again and fell face first into the snow.

Firestrike cocked his head and smiled. "No problem. I've always like the moor better, but to each their own—the forest is nice, too." With a flick of his tail, he slid off through the undergrowth, careful to keep his pawsteps quiet. Soon enough, his catch was in sight, and his jaws ached to clamp down on the creature, but he held back. Slowly, carefully, he inched towards the mouse—only to step right on a twig and send the creature shooting away through the undergrowth. "Mousedung!" He hissed as he leaped after it, but it was no use. Ears burning with embarrassment, he shook the twigs from his pelt.
"Hey, keep your eyes on your paws!" Fawnpaw laughed, trotting over to her brother. "Or you'll be falling every two steps!" She danced nimbly around the tom in a little circle, her eyes gleaming with playful teasing.

Strikepaw raced throught the camp and left. Lynxpaw by her side. They trotted throught the forest.

Firestrike nodded gratefully, though the words did little to dispel the frustration worming its way through the proud tom's stomach. "Let's keep looking," He replied, lifting his muzzle to the air to sort through the scents around them.

Moonshadow nodded. Sniffing strong scent of rabbit and hare. Possibly near the tunnels or those gorse bushes. She flicked her tail. Drooping it down. Its silver lust shined in the light. " Hare ... Rabbit and Shrew .... Which do you want go for ? " She asked with a determined look.

"I'll take the rabbit—and you go after one of the others," Firestrike suggested, picking up on the scent of rabbit that made his mouth water. He had always liked the taste of rabbit—plus, its large size would make it easier to grab should he step on a twig again. "Ready?" He breathed, his blue eyes matching Moonshadow's with their own determined glow.

She nodded and raced after the wind. Her fur bent back she stalked behind the gorse bush. The vole had been eating a seed. She weared her legs up ready to pounce and then she jumped on the vole. Her claws digging hard into it. It laid limp.

Moonshadow was racing after the hare before it went into a tunnel. She saw it had its mate and rabbit kits. " Ill let them grow so we can catch more prey " She convinced herself that she wasn't growing soft.

Firestrike waited until Moonshadow had successfully begun her hunt before he shot off into the bushes, careful not to make a sound this time as he tracked his flighty prey. He quickly caught sight of the rabbit nibbling at a patch of grass, and he wove through the undergrowth until he was a bound away. The ginger tom took a breath, steadying himself, and then pounced, snapping the creature's neck in seconds. Scooping it up proudly, he padded back through the bushes to where he had last seen Moonshadow.

Moonshadow trotted back to the clearing where they were standing. She held her vole in her jaws and dropped it. Her tail lifted high to see Firestrike. She gave a respectful nod.

(@neb--I have Sootstripe or Jadepaw :3 Or Stonestreak could join Fire and Moonshadow hunting if it's okay with @thistlereed)
Firestrike smiled and waved his tail in greeting as Moonshadow approached. "Looks like you had some luck," He remarked through the mound of rabbit fur in his mouth, dipping his head to the vole in her jaws.

" No this vole is unhealthy I think ... It fell limp at my first shot which was weak. " She decided to open the dead vole before realizing it was filled with maggots. Its insides were eaten out. " Lets bury it. So no other voles or prey get sick " She made a desecion. Starting to dig the vile vole a dump hole.

(excuse the fact that stonestreak just randomly appears. whoops)
"Thats a great idea. We wouldn't want anything getting sick." The she-cat meowed, padding out of the undergrowth. She had been attempting to hunt on her own, when she had caught scent of Firestrike and Moonshadow. Three cats were better then two right? It would mean more fresh-kill for the clan, so it shouldn't matter too much.

Firestrike looked up at the sound of Stonestreak's voice, his blue eyes lighting up. "Hey, Stonestreak," He purred, waving his tail as he dropped the limp rabbit at his paws and scrabbled at the ground to help Moonshadow dig her hole. "How do you think it got sick?" He asked absently.

" probably it had been eating bark or birch droppings that contained maggots. Maybe we should tell Sparrowstat about it after we finish hunting and make sure trees arent rotten with worms or maggots. " She explained. Plopping the vole in the hole and pushing the dirt back with her legs.

Stonestreak gave a small smile and joined the other two. "My brother is a wonderful swimmer too." She meowed to Moonshadow, giving a small laugh. "But he can't fish to save his life!" The she-cat began scraping the dirt out of the hole, scooping the small grains that fell off the sides. She stopped digging for a moment when Moonshadow put the vole in. Pushing in all the excess dirt she had dug out, she watched in satisfaction as the vole was buried. "Twoleg stuff maybe. It could have gotten poisoned."

" Twoleg droppings do always smell rancid. It could be that too ... But it wouldnt be likely for a vole to venture that far for food in greenleaf. Good idea thought. " She said with a happy flick of her tail.
" My brother cant fish too well either . He just loves the water on his pelt . " She mewed

Firestrike nodded thoughtfully, then let out a light chuckle as the conversation turned back to the river. "Featherspark practically lives in the water, too," He remarked, shaking his head playfully as he thought of his sister. "I'll stay on the bank, warm and dry, while you two freeze in the river."
