Iɴ α world oғ
Pυre Iмαɢιɴαтιoɴ
Hey wonderful people of the world. Like the Willy Wonka song quotes? I do too that movie was my childhood
My name is Darth Bee but you can call me Darth, Bee, or whatever. Don't be so formal though I swear I am a kind soul. Just so we break the ice, I enjoy drawing, my favorite Authors include Leigh Bardugo, Sarah J Maas, Colleen Houck, and Georgie RR Martin, CC Hunter, Rick Riodan and a lot more. I'm a fan of Steven Universe, Game of Thrones, Gotham, and some other shows I can't think of. I'm not good at Intros.
So I had this idea for a roleplay, and I frankly want to try it out with some other people that would be interested as well ( I enjoy groups honestly ) so hear me out as I explain what this plot I have in mind:
Think of Mirrors Edge Catalyst mixed with Assassins Creed with Robin hood traits tossed in. If you have never played those games, or even heard of Robin Hood, this roleplay is set in the future with the flying cars and the holographic port screens and stuff. The world has changed and with it the governments, who have linked together into one organization to control the world, calling themselves 'A New Era of people.' The poor are worked like dogs and the Rich get fancy parties and hot food on the table, plus all the money they could think of. And what does that lead to? A whole new world of crime and evil syndicates. It doesn't take long for a few groups to pop up, all of them with eyes on one thing. Money of course
I hope that makes some sense? I don't know I am much better at explaining through roleplay. But in a short summary; Corrupted Government = Rich people and poor people = Bounty Hunter/Crime group. I will explain more in roleplaying but yeah that's the plot I want to try out. I just thought of it during the middle of the night and thought it would be better to post it now since I'm awake. Just a few things I would like to add before you do ANYTHING.
i. I am ( if you could not tell ) a more advance/literate roleplayer who would love to have a small group of other advance roleplayers as well. I don't really care if you have the fancy coding or anything. I just want a roleplaying group ( Maybe one or two buddies ) that can maybe match my own length of writing. I usually type out varied lengths, it depends really on how much I am given. The starting post to this is of course going to be kind of long, it's a starting post. They are always gonna be long.
ii. Anyone can join ( as long as you're advance/literate roleplayer ) I don't care who joins. I just want some buddies to roleplay with, and also people I can be friends with.
iii. Have some fun! Don't be afraid to join as like a rich person who has family issues basically batman or someone that is considered a bad guy or another crime group person. I don't care, just have some fun, be creative. This roleplay is as much yours as it will be mine. I'm just here to set up a world and some plot here and there. If you want to toss in a plot twist go ahead! ( Just clear it with me first )
iv. The forum rules apply here, so no godmodding, no Mary Sues or Gary Sues. No spamming, no following people onto here and causing problems. No.
I hope that doesn't sound pushy or anything. But yeah this post already has enough words so I'll get into the actual roleplay.
Las Vegas 2199 December 7th
Usually at this time of the night, people were asleep and tucked away in their beds waiting for the sun to come back up the next morning. Normal people would be setting their alarm clocks to wake themselves up before the crack of dawn to earn a small paycheck that same day. That's what most of the population on earth does now a days anyway. The other few get to sleep in, call on their own butlers and go to fancy parties, barely lift a finger to help out the smaller guys. And then there is a small pocket in the population that is the weird and abnormal. Back in the good old days when cars actually drove on the ground instead of zipping through the air, these people would be considered 'Delinquents', those that found beauty in dyed hair and being themselves. Now a days they were considered 'Villains' or 'Criminals' in todays current era. It didn't help that people kind of gave these kids a bad name. Like the people that were currently sneaking through a private art gala while you're reading this section for backstory.
The Art Gala of Eras was the biggest event of the year, to some people that is. It was basically a showcase of years past. From when people had to actually drive their car across the earth on four wheels, from when people had to actually try on clothes before buying it. It was held on the last month of the year before the next year rolled around with some kind of new invention or whatever the government had the companies of today working on. Only certain people were let in, as in the rich and fancy who still held their pinkies out when taking a drink of some disgusting beverage that had the thickness of cough medicine. You could tell who was rich and who wasn't, the women wore dresses that shimmered brighter then a star, with makeup that made them look like works of art. The men wore expensive suits and fancy shows and watches, teeth whitened and hair combed back. So it was clear to see who were the odd ones out...sort of. This was still the future, and yes people did kind of look silly. Like in the Hunger games with the Capitol people and- you know what never mind.
People were only allowed in from scans on their D.A.T cuff. DNA Analysis Tag. Think of it of how people use to tag their live stock, the government thought it would be best to tag everyone in the world with these things. They dig into your skin, latch onto your veins and only come off when your pulse goes flat. If you do somehow manage to take it off then god luck fixing up your busted wrist. Anyway, people were sent their invites via their DAT cuffs and that was the only way inside. But these DAT cuffs weren't exactly the trickiest of technologies. The right people could easily hack into them and say, oh upload a copy of the invite from someone else's private email? "Have a good day Mr. Lane and Ms. Foster" said the security guard at the front after the bot scanned the man and woman's wrists, the doors unlocking to let the two newbies inside. 'Mr. Lane' of course smiled and only nodded, flashing his own set of white teeth when walking in. 'Ms. Foster' on the other hand stuck to being behind Mr. Lane.
Mr. Lane was in fact, not Mr. Lane. Mr. Lane was the head CEO of some power plant company and Ms. Foster was a president for New Tech INC. basically two old people. These two that were taking those names? Well Mr. Lane was normally addressed as Zed Manxs. And Ms. Foster was known as Cerys Lulla, both were members of the all illegal and very violent and trouble making group: Altus. It was one of many, and like the rest had a pretty big bounty on their heads. $1000 credits for each head that was brought to the governments doorstep. You could score big for just taking in a handful. Either way the two weren't old.
Cerys had both sides of her head shaved while a tousle of bright orange dyed hair falling into her face, the roots dyed black and fading into her bright fiery orange hair. While Zed's hair was mainly black, not even gelled back could hide the neon stripes of blue located at the nape.
Zed could only smile as they sunk into the crowd, his slick suit was platinum white with a black button up undershirt, his shoes were just as shiny as the fat man's next to him. "See? I told you we would get in" he said, his eyes flashing over to hers. Cerys could only roll her eyes, looking around to all the rich slobs and their pockets probably filled with cash. "I never doubted you for a second"
"Yes you did, you said so on the way here 'I bet this won't work, I bet your hacking skills are as rusty as your grandmothers'"
"I don't remember saying that"
"But you said that, don't you lie, you said that to me with Russell in the car while you were hacki-"
"Shut up you dolt" Cerys hissed, smacking his stomach with her handbag as a pair of guards came walking by, ignoring Zeds grumbles as he stood there, rubbing his stomach. "You wanna give us away?" Cerys hissed, turning her gaze to Zed who was smoothing down his suit. "But...you..." Zed tried but just tossed his hands in the hair in a surrender. "Fine whatever. Let's just steal from this money far-"
She hit him again, harder though with a bit of fist behind it. "Shut up! How are you not already dead?!" She growled, her gray eyes pinning down Zed where he stood, glaring even further when his lips pulled into a grin. "Maybe I'm being watched by a guardian angel" He said.
"That poor angel..."
"More like yay angel, gets to look over me and this handsome mug" He said and grinned, and flinched when Cerys moved her hand slightly toward his stomach to hit him again. "Alright alright, let's just go okay?...I don't want to be here if another group shows up. I wanna get as much as we can drain from here" He said in a low voice. Of course, you think they would be alone? No there was sure to be another group lurking around here somewhere to drain the Gala of all the earnings it made.
Wouldn't you want a hot cut of $1,000,000 credits?

((Alright, alright. I had a difficult time deciding between my jokester brothers and my sassy "princess," but... in the end, she won out. XD For now. I can bring the brothers in for more drama, but I wanted her introduced. =3))
Young Ashton had been raised in the world of the privileged and rich for years upon years upon... well, not many years past that. She was still a bit too young for the third set of "years" but, regardless, the dear girl had only ever known this pristine life of money. As such, the biggest worry that she ever had in this world was whether or not her nail would break. Well, perhaps if she cared more for her looks, of course.
Her father had approached both her and her older brother and announced to them that the trio would be attending some kind of dance later that evening. That's right. He hadn't even given them that much of a warning. Sure, Ash had received the invitation via the DAT but she hadn't realized that her father had plans for them to attend the treacherous little event. Had she known, Ash would have spent a longer time trying to prepare herself for such an ordeal and trying to convince her father against such a ludicrous idea.
It had all been for naught, and now Ash found herself standing to the side of the event with her older brother. Her naturally wavy blonde hair had been enhanced more to give it more of a curl while she had been outfitted in a tight fitting green dress that stopped just above her knees. Some makeup had been applied to her face, but that was about as far as Ash went. She wasn't a fan of the extremes that many of the people in this place went to which had always pushed her out as being somewhat of an outsider.
Perhaps not as much of an outsider as her older brother, Jason, but who preferred that he be called Jace. He was jittery and kept tapping his fingers against his thighs. He was outfitted in white pants and a pale yellow suit top, his favorite color. His pale blonde hair, the same shade as Ash's, was also not done up with any color. He preferred to keep the shade of blonde that he had been born with for reasons that Ash preferred not to think about. Her brother was far too strange and annoying for much comprehension.
One thing that happened to catch her eye, however, was a pair of young people. Male and female. And young. Most of the people in attendance to day were of the older wealthy class, so seeing this thrilled Ash. At last, she would be able to have other people her age. She quickly excused herself from Jace and headed over to the other two young people, watching as the girl smacked the guy in the gut. Ash giggled at this and then stepped forward after another couple minutes to announce her prescence. "Uh, hello. I don't believe that I have seen you around."

[ I almost fell asleep there right in the middle of typing this ;c; ] [ I feel ya, I was having trouble not bringing in some favorite pairs of mine but new roleplay equals new characters yes yes drama is the key ]
Zed turned his eyes around when the new voice seemed to pop the little bubble that had wrapped around Zed and Cerys, he was almost as surprised as she was that any other young pairing would be found here. Considering this event was like a flame to moths....really old moths that had this permanent scowl to their face. He shifted slightly where he stood and looked to Cerys, who seemed to withdraw herself from attacking Zed with her purse. "Oh well that's a shame isn't it? And here I thought we would be unique faces, right dear?" Zed said while looking to Cerys, who of course didn't really seem to be in the talking mood. Instead she just reached up to tug on the closed off collar of her long sleeved black dress. "Hm...don't mind her. She's not exactly friendly at the start but trust when this party gets going eh...."
Zed took one glance around and rubbed the back of his head, musing with the neon blue stripes that he had patted down hours before. "If this party gets started that is. But anyway enough blabbing about...can I ask for your name maybe? So we can remember each other in the future" He said with another fox like grin. If there was one thing that Zed was good at was that darn smile of his. Could get him almost anything he wanted. It could get him into the fanciest of clubs, backstage to a concert, could get him all the lovers he desires and just about anything else. Zed was a talker, a family guy....who if you gave him the chance would leave you for dead if the police were on your tails. Zed wouldn't be afraid to turn in his own grandmother to the police if it meant saving his tail or earning another quick dollar. This was the new era after all, it was all about money. And whoever had money had power and whoever had power had a free ticket out of here.
On the other hand, Cerys could only mentally kick herself in the butt for choosing to bring Zed along with her to this event. She could have easily brought Manky or Rue. But no, she had to bring the man with a mouth and who had a knack of never shutting it. She could leave him here, she knew that. He could make all the friends in the world and she could go and scrap up some money for herself. Hop onto the nearest tele carrier train and get out of here. But without Zed she would never be able to make it past a firewall. What was the difference between her and Zed? Zed was charming. He had people skills and he liked talking to people. He was also crafty with his hands and could break a fire wall down in a few seconds on a bad day. Cerys on the other hand lacked any and all people skills. She could barely speak to someone without thinking the worst was already being labeled onto her. She couldn't remember how to hack into a simple data frame if a gun was pointed at her head. Now she remembered why she brought the squirrel brain along with her for this trip.
He could talk with people like it was nothing. He could smile and not make people slink away like they were gonna die. Zed was the least threatening person she could think of that worked at Atlus. He was new, she was not. She was hardened by the years of living here in Las Vegas and he was the new spunk on the street that was simply doing this because he had gotten into some trouble with her bosses. Was caught trying to steal money from their private accounts and was dragged down to the base to be taught a lesson. Cerys didn't know the full details, nor did she care at the moment in time. So she just turned her head away from the conversation, wishing more then anything that they would just go and find a way back into the private rooms where they kept the monitors linked up to the Gala's account. And to go home, crawl into bed and rip this lousy dress to shreds. Wear her black and yellow hoodie once again and her worn out jeans. Boots....leather gloves....having that natural black gunk stuck under her eyes to make it seem like she hadn't slept in days.
She was so lost in thought she didn't even listen to Zed at this moment, his role was being filled and it didn't really require her to pay attention all that much anymore. Zed kept on smiling, looking at the girl and doing a quick take of her features. Funny, she says how she has never seen them around but he has never even seen her face around. His thumb slid along the metal ring along his fingers, wondering why on earth a young girl such as her would be doing at this kind of party. Maybe she was dragged here by some rich father that was busy sticking his money in some cash box or whatever. You know those things that kept actual money in instead of a laser lock safe. Physical money was still used in this age of course, just a little more secure on the making. Each dollar was printed with a unique chip that would be scanned on entering the register. It was much better then hiding some dumb dead mans face within the paper. "My name is Zed by the way..." He said, offering a little more of his smile to the girl while Cerys seemed to fidget behind him.
Same old Cerys. As social as ever. If you couldn't tell that was sarcasm, Zed's trusty second weapon for just about anything now a days.

((;-; Ooh. That's sleepy, right there. XD New characters? Nah. I just reshape my old loves to fit into their new world. XD Sorry for the small amount of paragraphs. Dx))
Oh, did Ash have the list of questions for these two. "I'm Ash." She introduced herself, preferring to keep her real name hidden away. It was a stupid name. Ashton. The name of males and who knows what else, but not something that Ash herself would ever want to connect herself with. On to a different tangent, she looked at this boy who claimed his name was Zed and the girl that stood awkwardly beside him, obviously not wanting to be here. Or at least not appreciating this conversation. "Question one: What's her name?"
Next up, Ash needed to get Jace's attention. Since he was also a young person, he would probably be super thrilled to also see other young people here. Plus, he matched this still nameless girl in terms of social nervousness, so how perfect was that? She made eye contact with him and gestured for him to come over, but Jace just shook his head quickly, not at all in the mood for his sister's stupid little plans. She shook her head in frustration, placing her hands on her hips before she returned her attention to this new duo. "I haven't seen either of you around before. It's strange. Most younger people don't come to these parties. How are you two here? Are you rich, or are your parents rich? Who are your parents?"
Although a hundred other questions were going through Ash's mind, she decided to just leave her questions at this state for now. "You should hang out with my brother and I. It would be great."

[ And now I am awake cx ] [ that's fine friend, big paragraphs are hard to write sometimes x~x ]
Zed couldn't help but raise an eyebrow slightly at the girls questions, shifting a bit uncomfortably where he stood. "That's Hailey" Zed said. Lie was his first thought. In fact he should have never given this girl his real name, first strike and already he was loosing focus on what the goal was for this mission. Cerys was already feeling a bit impatient herself. This was not a place nor was this the time to make friends with some rich snobs daughter. "Um we were sent here in our parents steed, they were all tangled in work that they couldn't make it" Zed said and grinned slightly at the girl. If there was one thing he had to sum up about this girl was that boy, she talked. A lot.
"What a kind offer, I have to say this is the most welcomed I have ever felt at a party before" Zed said. Well it was a half truth, every other party he has either been chased out by the police or been in and out before anyone knew he was there. Cerys could only sigh when Zed kept on talking before tugging on his suits sleeve. "I'm gonna go and...get some refreshments" She said and sent one last glance at the girl before slipping off into the crowd. This was no time to pal around with some rich person, she rather eat needles then bud around with the likes of them. They had a job to do, in fact they could have been back home by now and probably lounging around while splitting up the money with the other members of Altus.
But nooo, Zed thought it would be cool to talk to the people. Rub elbows with these rich mongers. It made Cerys sick to think of that, that they had to act nice to people that didn't even care about those below them. That was how society worked now a days. If you weren't rich and had a thousand cars with your name detailed into the rims then you weren't worth talking to. If you didn't own three houses in Russia and Miami then you weren't worth talking to. If you didn't have a penny to your name then you weren't. Worth. Talking. To. That was how this world worked and it didn't matter if you were nice to your uncle who was rich while your family was poor. You were still bottom tier. Trash in this new world ran by a greedy government.
Cerys began to slip away from Zed and this girl, Ash, and into the crowd. She didn't have the time to pal around unlike Zed. She would just have to com Russell or someone to help her with the hacking. Zed could stay here and distract the common folk with his dumb smiles and fake stories of how he was able to ride a boat that didn't have to hover a few inches off the water or how he was the first of few to actually ride around on a horse in a green field. Zed turned his head slightly, seeing Cerys orange hair disappear into the crowd of the rich folks, forcing himself not to frown at the thought of being left alone with these people. Of course she was getting impatient with him. Zed could only hold in a long sigh while he turned back to Ash, glancing slightly toward her brother who she seemed to motion to. Great she has a brother.... Zed thought sadly, not exactly liking this girls next words but he smiled any way.
"Oh yeah...that sounds fun"

((Oh yay! Awakeness! XD I am not used to this long paragraph thing. I should've gone with the brothers. They're much easier to describe. And oh Ash. Messing up everyone's plans, you silly little thing.))
Ash watched as Hailey walked away, somewhat disappointed to find herself stuck with... the boy. Had he said his name was Zed? Yeah, that felt about right. Zed. What a cool name. "So Zed, where do you live? Who are your parents? I probably know them. Well, know of them. My father knows everyone! He'd probably love to meet you, too." She was in a frenzy of talking, unable to keep herself from asking what was on her mind.
Even if she was rich and should have had it all, one thing that Ash was convinced she lacked were enough friends. She loved to know everybody and have plenty of people to do things with if the need arised. "So, we should hangout sometime. Even if I don't know you well, I think you'd be fun to hangout with." Not to mention that he wasn't too hard on the eyes.
She glanced back at Jace to see that he looked confused. Knowing people was Jace's speciality. He may not have been the most social and had the most friends, but he knew of people. Their father had taken a liking to teaching Jace to recognize nearly every other rich person (said it would help him in the future or something ridiculous like that), but by the look on Jace's face, these two were new.
Strange, but she was sure it was nothing.

[ I'm sorry I haven't replied all day ;c; I was called to head out into the real world ] [ I would type less but I just can't. I need to explain things and people and thoughts ;c; It just comes with practice I guess ] [ gosh darn it ash ]
Oh wow this girl just loved...talking.
Zed had to force that smile to stay on his face while Ash spoke, tipping his head slightly to talk but was already met with the possibility of maybe hanging out with her? Zed couldn't help but just chuckle slightly, half wishing that he had walked off with Cerys toward the back instead of being left here. "Well I'm glad how fast this friendship is already taking off" Zed said, when really he was cringing on the inside. If he was given the chance to hang out with some rich persons daughter, would he really take it? Of course not! He was born in the slums of Las Vegas and was raised with basically nothing but access to computers in the café next door to his run down home growing up. He had leached so much money from peoples bank accounts that he could be rich if it wasn't being stashed in different accounts across seas. Sure, some other guy would be happy to hang out with a girl like this but Zed? He rather eat his own hand.
Not to be truly mean and judgy, but honestly in this day and age how could you not hate the rich folks? The poor work their butts off to earn enough money to pay for bills and food, while these mutts get pampered and groomed like kings. "My folks are the Lanes, you know the guys that make all this buzz and tick" Zed said and gestured around the room. He knew this dance already. Talk about the parents some, talk about this and that. Talk about how many fake hover boats you got blah blah. And this could go on forever so he could only hope that Cerys could work around the mainframe by herself without tripping over traps within the codes. "I am a blast to hang out with" he said with a little wink, by which of course he meant he had a bounty on his head that could literally cost- well his head.
Meanwhile Cerys was slinking through the crowd and toward the back, digging in her purse for the little com link that she had snuck in there before coming in. She knew that this would happen, leaving her to her own skills. Her hands fumbled slightly as she slinked away, her eyes darting around while trying to dig out the tiny device. By the time her fingers latched onto the little chip she instantly stuck it to the back of her ear, the sharp sting of the needles sinking in making her flinch before just rubbing the pain away. The chip was tiny, real tiny, so it wouldn't be that easy to find unless someone was directly next to her head and leaning forward. Her feet carried her toward the back of the room, her eyes darting from one guard to another. "Cerys? Is this thing on?" came a tiny voice in her ear, a sharp feedback made her cringe and swat at her ear at bit. "Yes it is you moron, don't yell" she whispered, eyeing the pair of glass sliding doors leading to the back offices and more importantly- The computer room.
"What happened to Zed?" the voice went on, seeming a bit concerned for a split second before Cerys could answer. "He's socializing" she responded softly, glancing up as some people walked by, ducking her head down so people couldn't see her lips move. "He's what?" the voice came again, making Cerys roll her eyes. "You heard me...so help me out here"
"You can work a computer"
"I can work my foot up your butt if you don't help"
"Alright, alright. Calm down princess. Just let good old Nixson work his magic"

((Oh no. Not... the real world... It's fine. =3 I ended up being all busy and stuff, anyway. It looks easy. XD But it doesn't feel easy. I'm fine with it, just please be patient while I learn how to rp like a master. ;-; Really briefly considered making Ash, like, a little helper of my brothers and she was just there for distraction. XD And still not sure if I should bring them in... might be easier to make large responses with those two available for rping, too.))
"Where did your friend go? Or is she your sister? Or your girlfriend? And what was her name again?" Ash asked. She was on a roll and nothing was stopping her from asking a million questions, or so it seemed. Upon thinking about this Zed kid's companion, Ash turned around to start looking around for her. She had said she was going for a refreshment, but Ash noticed that she wasn't at the refreshment's table. Or anywhere, actually. "Hmm... where did she go?" Ash may not have been looking quite so intensely for the other girl, except that she was truly curious about how she had disappeared.
The other girl should have stuck out like a sore thumb. Her youth alone set her apart from many of the people here, and add that with her unique hair cut... there should be no way that Ash wasn't able to spot her! This was crazy! Wrong! Insane! "Maybe my brother saw her." She thought aloud to herself and then remembered that Jace probably didn't even know who she would be talking about if she asked him. How would he? Jace had been paying next to no attention to Ash's shenanigans. Per usual.
