"And guilty I may be, but don't give up on me... We will still be thick as thieves."

"Well, we do have clothes to pick up," Anya reminded him, but, really, one shirt wouldn't hurt to be left here. If anything, it might do well if she left one or two outfits behind to use in case she ever needed them whenever she returned. The woman reached out to Corrik through their bond, wondering if she would be able to speak with him. While their bond had grown during their time here, it still had its limits. She could make a connect to his mind, but it was faint and fuzzy. His acknowledgment of her and his concern if she was okay could be detected, but she could only send an assurance of her well being. Anything else might not be heard or understood properly. "Will Stel know what's going on if we jump to the House?" Anya asked, knowing Seth and Stel's bond was stronger than her and her dragon's.

(It's okay! Here, it's quality over quantity, and the quality is more than fine. XD)
"And it's that heart-stopping terror that's the problem," Anya pointed out, laughing. Yeah, things normally turned out okay whenever he pulled his little stunts. However, she just wasn't used to it like he was, wasn't the one thinking up, acting on, and controlling said stunts either. It might be different if she were in his shoes.

(I know right? XD)
A reply was ready, but it didn't get voiced. As they moved, there was a distinct change in the world about them. Anya felt off, even though she wasn't entirely sure why. Like before, there was silence in her bond with Corrik, their connection not reaching wherever they were. It wasn't a chilling feeling, one that warned of danger, it was just... different. Almost like walking consciously through a dream: aware of everything, but everything wasn't quiet how it should be. As curious as she was, however, she didn't find her eyes wandering around to inspect things. From what she could see in her peripheral vision, it was nothing bit dim lighting and shadows. Again, the place wasn't one that brought any ill will to her, just made her feel off. The woman chalked it up to the type of magic and the fact that she didn't go walking through portals of any kind on a regular basis. "No, they're not all bad," she conceded. After all, this time was actually normal compared to the other things he had done to scare her in the past.
