"I will," Peter assured her. "However, since dyed hair lasts a few days, you'll have to wear your pigtails for an entire day. That includes if we head outside. I'm sure you can find a way to make them work for you."
Hope thought hard for a moment about Peter's offer. "Deal." She finally responded. She figured that she could just scare the crap out of anyone that made fun of her for them. She also thought the Wednesday Addams pigtails might help in that department. She held out her hand to Peter for a confirmation handshake.

"We'll see about that. After all, she wasn't too thrilled about your wardrobe change." Hope raise her eyebrows pointedly, remembering how angry Lisa had been that day. After another moment, Hope began to carefully pick the pictures back up.

(No, I completely understand that part. Her parents died. No one is going to be able to bounce back from that immediately. But you kind of chose a bad time to cause this to happen. Our two character have only just "meet". While they are suppose to be best friends, I know nothing of your character, and you know nothing of mine. Because of that, I don't know how Rixon would best comfort Angelica during this time of her life. I don't know if she prefers words or gestures, or if she would much rather be left only to find peace in her own mind. These are the kinds of details that are figured out by the first interactions between characters. That's why I want you to give me more in depth, detailed responses. What you've done is thrown a huge story arch that would have been fine to add (I love a good tragedy as much as the next person), but it should have been added at a later time. Since I know so little about how our character works, I'm at a loss on how to write a realistic response that is true to Rixon's character. You've given me the bare minimum to work with, and now I can't do anything that you might have hoping for. I really don't know how to give you a good reply without having Rixon break his character and act like someone else.)
"Maybe if we use the kind that washes out after one or two showers, she won't be too angry with us," Peter said, shrugging his shoulders. No matter what, he had made a deal with her, so he was going to keep it. His eyes glanced down once more at the pictures between them. He knew he should say something more serious about them, but he didn't want to upset her or make her mad. Finally, after a moment of thought, he muttered, "You look really happy in these."

((I'll fix this.))
Angelica sighed. She had a lump in her throat and could barely speak. "I-I'm going upstairs..." she said as she stood up and took a shaky breath before going to the stairs. Tears became more frequent once Rixon wasn't able to see her face. Her eyes shone with emotional pain as she flopped on her bed. She wasn't used to Rixon's gentle attempt a comforting. It felt too real.

Hope glanced up at Peter for a moment before turning her eyes back down to the pictures. She could feel a deep, long hidden sadness that she knew must be reflected in her eyes. "I was." She said carefully. Those moments had been the happiest in Hope's life. Her family had been just that, a family. After another moment, she looked back up at him. "But, I am happy now too." A small smile danced at the corners of her mouth, though the sadness was still buried deep.

Hope nodded carefully at his words. Her eyes dropped to her hands. No one had asked her what had changed in a long time. Everyone just saw her for who she was in that moment. Not what lead her to that point. "Shortly after my seventh birthday..." she started slowly, as if to find the right words. "They found the tumor, and my mom was diagnosed with brain cancer..." she closed her eyes and took a shuddery, deep breath. "They gave her eight months." She could feel the tears pressing at the back of her eyes, so she kept them closed. She knew that if she opened them, and saw Peter, she would start crying. "She only lived for six." She sighed softly, the hard part of her story was over. She was glad that it was something that she could explain quickly. "My father was never the same after that. He started drinking a lot, doing other drugs." She paused again. "He got abusive when he was drunk. Sometimes, he would think that I was her because we looked so alike..." She opened her eyes then, but only glanced at Peter before looking at her hands. "He blamed her for dying...so it just got worse..." Hope bit her lip, and extra effort to keep the tears. "I was hospitalized once because of it...so the DFS got involved..." Another deep breath as she came to the end of her brief story. "And then here we are." She looked up and gave Peter a weak smile, only glad that she had made it through without crying.

(Then write that. It's okay to rp explanations of your character's actions in your reply. How else am I suppose to judge what to do?)
Peter could hardly believe what he was hearing. Of all the stories he had thought up, he never expected to hear about this. He more or less sat there, listening in stunned silence as she finished her tale. The struggle of fighting off tears was evident so much that it pained the boy. He didn't mean for her to relive such memories for the sake of his curiosity. His mouth opened and closed, as if searching for some kind of words to assure her that none of this was her fault. None came. Not because she was to blame, but because he couldn't seem to form the proper sentences to speak.
"Oh, Hope," he muttered finally. Moving from the foot of the bed, and careful not to bend any of the photos, Peter settled himself beside her. Then his arms were reaching around her, drawing his friend into his chest. "I'm sorry," he murmured. It was all he could offer. Although he recently lost a parent, he knew that what he went through could never compare to what she had suffered. Mainly because of his amnesia ruining things and the fact that his mother would never let things get so bad. There was no point in trying to relate to her life. He would have just sounded conceded and stupid.

(I'm sure she'll think of something. XD)
Tori giggled slightly. Being the one who was going to literally spell out its name all the time, was already figuring out how to create a name sign for the squirrel. It shouldn't be too hard. After all, she had created name signs for nearly everyone she had dealings with on a regular basis. One more wouldn't be too much trouble. Squiggles it is, she signed happily.
~*
"It's going to take more than a table to hurt me," Phallon assured him. "Now, come on. If we're going to go explore outside, we don't need to waste time here." And just like that, the girl brushed off the incident as if it had never happened. People tripped and fell all the time. It was normal. So why should she waste time investigating it when she already knew what happened? (I'm sure she will.XD) Maverick wondered what she was going to do to make it easier to actually sign the name Squiggles, but he guessed she would figure it out pretty easily, she had before. And if she couldn't he could probably help her, but he nodded anyway. "Sounds perfect then. Ooh should we put it one the side of its bed?" He asked. It was a bit of an obvious question but he felt he should ask anyway. *_-----_* Rico chuckled at her comment. Stupid tables, they might just be what gets her yet. When she quickly brushed herself off and continued to go outside he couldn't help but be a little surprised, but not at the same time. She didn't seem like the sort of person to get fazed by that much. After a second of hesitation, he shook his head and started after her again.

"Then I will make you a copy to have as well," Dakota assured him, laughing as well. "And I wouldn't show it to just anyone. No, I'd just keep it nice and safe to use as blackmail in the future." Glancing up at him now, it was hard to imagine Sawyer acting the way he had when she first realized who he was. She herself had felt too tired to function, but never had she been as bad as he had been. It only made her wonder how long he had gone without sleep. Sure, he had told her he had slept the previous night. However, his behavior had contradicted his words. Then again, maybe he had been right when he told her he had been faking a little.
Around this time, the young woman spotted the bus stop merely ten feet away. She quickly checker her phone for the time. 11:22. The bus made its rounds every forty-five minutes. It took that long to travel to all the bus stops around town and back. Sometimes it was quicker when there wasn't as much traffic or people needing to be dropped off everywhere. And since there was only one bus, sometimes it backtracked depending on where newer riders requested to go. "The bus should be here soon," she told her friend. "If its not, then we can just continue walking until we either reach town ourselves or flag it down."
(If you want, we can kind of just skim over the entire journey around town. It might be easier to just summarize the experience and pick back up when they stop for lunch. That way we don't exhaust the topics of conversation.) [ Ha, haaaa hey, remember me? Man Night I'm sorry, that was almost two weeks, shoot I can't even remember reading this. Yes, I'd be happy to skip ahead to their ride around town, but before that I think we should maybe re-discuss the future of the roleplay? I'd like to continue, mostly because I'm excited for them to get ice cream, to see her house, for him to shift, just, to get along with the plot in general but I'm kinda worried that at the rate at which I get responses to you it might take an incredibly long time to get there. I'm not saying I want to quit, heavens forbid, but I also don't want to drag you along and make you wait so much. I can try and get up to a post every 2-3 days, and we could maybe try to move a little faster with each reply? Can you think of anything? I really want to make this work, don't give up on me yet!!! ]

Daniel laughed, "I actually do know since I've done it before. But we can also air dry before getting back in the car you know."

"I really like that idea," Amelia answered, "some people may give you trouble or may not want to do it but eventually I believe everyone will ease into it. However, there probably will still be some people trying to sell the food to make a profit off of it when they should not. But I still think it will work out in the end."

Tori smiled and nodded. Yes, we should paint its name on the side, she signed in agreement. You know, once we get it made, that is.
~*
Phallon led the way to the door that would take them outside. On the way, she disposed of her thrash. "I think we have maybe ten minutes left. That should give us time to walk around one side of the school and reach the side doors before the bell rings. That okay with you?" She asked, casting a glance over her shoulder to look at Rico. That made Maverick chuckle at her response. "Well yes of course. We need to actually make the nest first," he said, amusement clear in his voice as he spoke. He looked at her for a moment, his gaze soft as he let out a small sigh. How did he end up with her? She was such an amazing person, it was a wonder someone hadn't already snatched her up. "You know, you look beautiful today," he said suddenly. It was a bit out of the blue but he felt he wanted to say it. *_-----_* Rico shrugging, blinking and shaking his head. "Hey, y-you know best, I'm just here to follow your lead," he said simply, though he nodded just to be sure. "Yes it's okay with me," he added. Rico was rather glad that she was okay showing him around and helping him find classes. He hadn't been shown that sort of kindness for a long time, and it made his heard flutter just a little bit.

"Yeah, but who knows how long that could be," Sophia said. Now she was just arguing for the safe of seeing how long it would last. If she wanted to, she would have no problem swimming in their clothes. The young woman had done it once or twice before herself. The experience didn't kill her. However, she she agreed with Daniel, then she would be admitting defeat in their mock debate.
~*
"I can handle a few people selling it," Charles said. "After all, if people are perfectly able to buy food, then they should. Only those who have barely enough to support themselves should get it for free. I just don't know how we'll be able to tell who can afford the food and who can't."
With a rough idea in mind, Tori began to start the foundation of the nest. She figured Mav was going to do the same, or at least start work on another detail of the project. When he spoke up randomly after a moment of silence, Tori blushed and glanced over at him. The girl hadn't done anything different to her appearance other than put on the red top they had bought the other day. So to her, she felt as if she looked about like normal. You must be seeing things, she signed playfully.
~*
The door to the outside world was easy enough to find. Opening it, Phallon blinked a couple of times so her eyes could adjust to the bright afternoon light. It was a pretty day outside. No clouds in the sky, a small breeze to bring the chill of fall to them. "There's not much on this side," she said. "Just an outdoor eating area where you can spend lunch or other free time. That's about it until we reach the back side of the school. That's where the football field is located."

Daniel laughed, "I don't know, we'll just have to find out now won't we?" He really liked doing this with her, hanging out and talking, even pretending to argue. It was really fun.
---
"It shouldn't be too hard," Amelia told him, "just get a few townspeople that are honorable and they'll know. Even the looks of some people are easy to spot. Especially those who are homeless. But yeah, I guess you're right. People who can afford it should be able to pay even if it is left overs, it just better not be scrapes off of plates. That's the only thing, but I don't think you'll do that anyways."

(Sorry guys!! I love a heartbreaking story!)
Hope didn't say anything as Peter moved to sit beside her. She also didn't fight it or move away as he hugged her. Instead, she leaned against him slightly. She felt as if a huge weight had been lifted from her shoulders in sharing her story with him. Like she could share anything else with him now easily. She sat there in an almost numb state due to the relief. The pictures sat loosely in her hands. "Thank you." She finally spoke softly. "For listening to what I have to say, and being so open minded." She added the second part as an afterthought. Knowing that if she didn't, Peter would either asked what for, or tell her that she had nothing to thank him for.

IC: Apon seeing her blush, he couldn't help but smile wider and he blushed a little bit himself. "No I'm serious. You do look beautiful. All the time," he said with a small chuckled. He had to admit she was cute when she blushed. "Besides, I don't think I tell you as much as you deserve," he added, looking down for a moment with a shrug, before he looked back up at her again.
*_-----_*
Rico nodded as she explained the area. He could see that she was right, it was pretty bland out here. It was green though which was nice, and so was the cool fall breeze. He really did hate the colour brown in nature. Brown grass especially, it was just ugly in his opinion. "Where do you usually spend you time during the lunch breaks?" He asked her curiously, tilting his head.

Sophia laughed and shook her head. "You just have a comeback for everything, don't you?" she asked, smiling over at him.
~*
Charles nodded as their food was brought to them. After thanking the serving girl, he replied to Amelia. "If we get someone who pretty much knows the majority of the people in one are of town, that would help. Then if we go to the other side of town, we get another person who knows a good many people. That would take care of the biggest group of people."
(As do I. As do I. XD )
"Hope," Peter said gently, "you've put up with me and my troubles for months now. I'm glad to get a chance to help you with yours. I'm always here if you need to talk." And he spoke the truth. Hope had become one of his closest friends. He would do anything for her if she asked him to. The girl had always been the one to lend a hand to solve his problems, but up until now, barely voiced her own troubles. Now here she was, telling him a very personal and emotional event in her life. Peter would have been stupid to show her no support. "Whatever your father claimed, your mother's was not your fault. You probably know this, but I want to be sure you do. I'm sorry your life became a mess. If there was anything I could do to change it, I would."
And I think you have a basis opinion, Tori replied. There was nothing she could do that would convince Mav she wasn't as pretty as he might think her as. So the best thing to do was to just play along with him. Or at least joke about it.
~*
"I usually come out here on the prettier days," Phallon replied. "I have to spend enough time listening to that mess of conversations inside as it is, so I tend to avoid it when I can. On days it's raining or too cold to eat outside, I head for the library. I can get some last minute homework done while I eat as well."

Amelia agreed, "I think so too. If not one a couple people so they can all agree. I can help if you want me too." She wouldn't mind taking time out of her schedule to help on some days. She would love to do it. "Of course I may not be able to do it everyday but I would love to help when I can."

IC: Maverick gave her a playful smirk and shrugged. "Eh, maybe I am biased, but I'm not lying at least," he said, chuckling slightly, looking at her again. Carefully he got up and scooted over to sit next to Tori. Thinking about it, he didn't even know why he was sitting opposite to her, it wasn't really a help.
*_-----_*
Rico nodded. He definitely thought the library sounded like a place he'd like to spend his lunch, with or without company. "So-so you're not a fan of crowds?" He asked with a small smile. Obviously, neither was he. He was used to being on his own in wonderland. He did spend his free time in the huge library's of the main castle, he loved them all.

"Of course, you don't. You're the one benefiting from it," Sophia pointed out with a laugh. She really had no problem with his retorts. It actually amused her greatly.
~*
"Are you sure?" Charles asked. "You already have a full schedule. I know painting isn't something you can easily do, and I would hate to drag you away from helping your mother."
Peter's arms tightened around her in a protective way. "I wish I could give that to you," he murmured. If he could go back in time and fix her family problems, than he would. Hope had done so much for him. Even if this was impossible to achieve, he still wished he could give her the family she had lost. Caught up in the moment, he placed a gentle kiss on the top of her head before resting his cheek against her hair.
(I understand, Red!)
Tori smiled slightly at his point. No, he wasn't lying. Mav had never lied to her about anything. The poor boy was a terrible liar anyway. Unlike her, who lied to him just bout everyday about her emotional state. The thought sent a pang of guilt through her heart that she tried to ignore. It didn't matter now. He knew what had happened and she wasn't going to hide it from him again.
~*
"I can tolerate them when I have to," Phallon answered. "I just have a limit on how much I can take. If three hours here is about my limit, but spending five days back to back is just too much. I have to have quiet time or someone's getting punched."

IC: That was certainly true, Maverick was a horrible liar. He could keep his tone level, but his facial expression always gave away his true feelings. Unfortunately, he didn't get to see her face and didn't notice any guilt. Putting his arm around Tori and rubbing her shoulder, he looked down. "So, how should we start this?" He asked.
*_-----_*
Rico chuckled a little bit and nodded in understanding. Violent. Thank goodness he knew it was a joke. The poor girl would not be tolerated by the Red Queen, she was not a fan of jokes or sarcasm. She usually didn't get it. "Just-just don't be afraid to say if you need space, I don't wanna get punched," he said with smile, then shrugged. "I can't stand crowds. They're just so noisy."
