((dude I am so sorry, school and working out and horseback riding is quite taxing on my sanity and free time x3 anyways that sounds great! Do you want your character's shop to be having the sale or mine?))

Leo Kuznetsov stood, hands on his hips in pride. Plastered to the front window of his aunt’s restaurant, “Shaw’s Subs”, was a poster, the result of hours of his handiwork. ‘Kids Eat Free 4-6 pm,’ and a larger ‘BUY ONE SUB, GET ONE FREE MON-FRI,’ read his carefully measured and painted text.
Between these deals and the new ingredients we’ve got… thought Leo, running his fingers through the side of silver-dyed hair, Maybe we’ll get a more sizeable reputation than some of the other restaurants around here.
(ah i hope this isnt too short. i just... didnt have too much else to say, and i figured we can work on more of the character/setting exposition as we proceed. sorry for taking a long time too! my bad)

Zachary Blithe tapped his long piano fingers on the counter, mentally practicing a song, but not any in particular. It was habit for the boy, especially when he was bored and now was certainly one of those times. The burger place wasn't necessarily bustling with activity on any given day but it seemed to be going particularly slow today and he wasn't sure what to do about it. From his spot at the front counter he could see the reason behind the restaurant's slowness. The sub place across the street had way better deals that this place just couldn't afford to have. Glancing over at his coworker who had an equally glassy eyed look on their face and decided he was done being bored. Standing up, Zachary grabbed a bucket and a rag from the back and headed out the front door, deciding that cleaning the outdoor tables was a better use of his time than practicing songs that he wasn't even paying attention too.

(i'm so sorry this took so long-- i was doing college visit stuff and then school was busy and then aaaaah)
Leo looked to his left, offering a warm grin and a wave at the family of five heading towards the Shaw’s restaurant entrance. The door itself was painted black, with thin horizontal rectangle-shaped windows from top to bottom.
Though Shaw’s was part of a small strip center, with a nail salon on one side and a tech store on the other, its bricks with chipping paint were unique. The restaurant’s name sign was elliptical and placed high on the building’s face.
He’d loved the place since he was a kid, but was only recently able to get a job there. He didn’t know much about their competition, so when he spotted someone his age stepping from the restaurant across the street, the guy was unfamiliar. That burger place didn’t seem to have too many customers. Leo waved awkwardly, in the case that he’d caught the stranger’s eye.
