(I'll be a lot slower replying because I'm working on something)
Ian headed out to the arena and watched Frankie canter Bravo for a few minutes. When his sister slowed to a walk and joined Jennifer in the center of the arena, he looked around and saw Danielle in another arena. He turned to watch her, interested, and walked to the fence, careful not to spook her horse.

(It's fine! At least we aren't making each other wait then XD)
Ian watched. He'd never been into western riding, never paid much attention to the western riders, couldn't even tell you what most of the events were, but he stopped to watch Danielle and Delilah. He backed up off the rail, standing near the gate to avoid spooking the horse. The fluid, unnoticeable cues were what every rider strived for. It reminded Ian of the riders he had envied as a child. He was now one of those riders, he knew it, but it still amazed him on the ground to see a horse and rider duo working as one like this.

Yeah. Lol. I just finish pasting my roleplays over here, I think. ]
Danielle finally noticed her audience, and she smirked lightly. She had to gallop that way, anyway. They turned the corner and ended up pointed towards Ian, when she cued Delilah to gallop. A few moments before they crashed into the fence, she cued Delilah to do a sliding stop. Delilah complied, and they slid, making a dust cloud form around them. Delilah stood up right again, and they continued with their routine, having almost finished the routine.

Ian took a step back, then watched her continue the pattern. He watched her, eyebrows raised. He hadn't seen anything quite like that, but he was an English boy at heart. He reminded himself to get her in the arena sometime to watch him and Cody work their magic. Maybe show off the last UPHA pattern he learned. Ian just crossed his arms and watched her work, still interested in this western rider's pattern. This sure looked exciting and much more relaxed. The two made a good pair and even Ian admitted that it was fun to watch them work.
(yeah I'm working on copying some plots and it's a lotta work)

Ian crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow. "I've just never really seen a western rider in action. You weren't bad," he said, shrugging. He reached out his hand to gently pat the horse's neck. "You two make a good team," he commented, "And you got a pretty nice lookin horse here." Of course, he preferred saddlebreds and Morgans, but still knew a good ,looking horse when he saw one.

(No, I'm dead XD)
"Just, y'know, checking out the other riders around here. Not all of you can be as good as me," he teased. Ian wasn't normally one to be arrogant, but talking to Danielle reminded him of talking to Frankie for so,e odd reason. He just shrugged it off and looked at Delilah. "That's cool. Cody and I have been together for about three years now? My old trainer got him as a foal and wanted me to help finish off his training. Then he let me take Cody away with me," he said.

"I wanted to compete in A rated shows, but we didn't have the money to buy a trained show horse and I didn't get along with any leases I met, so my trainer made an agreement. If I helped train Cody, I could keep him. He still gets excited when he sees my old trainer though. Then my sister bought her jumper a year later," he nodded to where Frankie was riding Bravo. "That's cool though that you got to totally train her. I wouldn't have known where to start with Cody, he's so full of personality and energy. But he was settled down a bit once I got to help train hm. He's still a goofball," he said, laughing at Cody's antics.

"Yeah, I woulda been lost without Steve, my trainer. He said Cody was one of his favorite horses to work with though. Under all that other... Stuff... He really is a sweet horse," he said. Anyone that saw Cody and Ian together could see their bond, even if Cody was difficult for some other riders. "Yeah, I know, we used to have a mustang at my barn for when the more advanced, older kids wanted to do something fun. And he was a handful. That's why I generally took Cody for trail rides or mounted games. Either him or this super sweet quarter horse we had," he said. "But, hey, sometimes the 'handful' horses are the best," he said, shrugging.

Constantly fighting me and the tack or me mounting up. She didn't want to be tamed." She shrugged. "But, look at where we're at. We have a deniable bond, and it's only getting stronger and stronger. Isn't that right, girl?" She patted Delilah, and Delilah snorted as she bobbed her head. Danielle laughed. "I sometimes think she can understand English."

Dakota reached up behind her, pulling her long hair into a ponytail in the hope that it would avoid tangles today. Despite her efforts, the blonde locks still fell to her lower back, and she sighed, rolling her eyes and letting it go. She refused to put it in a bun unless it was completely necessary- buns reminded her of strict teachers and librarians. She made sure her side bangs were out, framing both sides of her face and falling to her chin. She went without a helmet, as she always did when Jessie wasn't around to correct her, and took Angel off the cross-ties, leading the pretty mare out of the stables before mounting her from the ground. She would use the mounting block, but that would put her in view of Jessie if she happened to leave her truck, and her bossy roommate would ultimately find something for her to do that wouldn't involve riding. Besides, one ground mount or two wouldn't destroy her mare's back. She clicked her tongue and nudged the mare forward with her heels, setting her off at a brisk pace. She headed for the forest trail, smiling cheerily as she saw Brady ahead of her. "Hey!" she called as she neared them, slowing the cream-colored horse as they pulled up alongside them.

"My first ride on Cody ended with me in the dirt. I dislocated my shoulder, but I just loved something about him. Haven't fallen off of him since," Ian said, grinning at the memory. It hadn't been funny then, but once he had started riding again, it seemed funny. A little accident combined with Cody's energy had had a bad result, but Ian still loved the horse, "Me and Cody actually have a show coming up. My old trainers gonna be there so it's gonna be nice seeing him and some of my friends and their horses," he said. He'd stayed in contact with most of his friends from his old barn and they had planned to go out for dinner after the first night of the show.

Brady ran a hand through his hair as Flint walked along. He heard someone call out and jumped slightly as Dakota appeared next to him. He smiled at her and said,"Hey, Dakota. How are you today?" He looked at Angel and said,"Hey to you, too, Angel." He chuckled slightly as he thought of asking the horse how she was doing since she couldn't really reply. He was jerked out of thought by Flint tossing his head and snorting with his ears pinned slightly. Brady veered off slightly away from Angel and let Flint drop back so that Brady could circle him to make sure the Arabian stallion was calm. Once he made sure Flint was calm, he caught up with Dakota again and rode next to her.

"I wasn't majorly hurt, but I can certainly tell you that I fell off of Delilah many a times when I tried to ride her. Kind of hard to imagine that now, but it's true." She ran a hand through the loose pieces of hair that had escaped her braid. She said,"I also have a show coming up, but I wouldn't expect it to be in the same place as yours. It may be, though." She shrugged. "Most of my friends still live in the country where I was born and raised until I was 13. We moved over here, and I haven't been able to visit them since I moved, and I haven't found all of them on social media. I may pay them a visit when I get my license, though."

Dakota waited with an apologetic expression as he calmed the stallion. "Sorry! Was that my fault?" she asked sheepishly. "But, I'm doing great! I finally escaped Jessie." she chuckled, rolling her eyes. To most, Jessie was more of a wild card than she was- never hesitating to throw a party or go off to catch some wild ones. Around Dakota though, the older girl seemed to think she had some sort of mothering responsibility. "She needs to realize that she's got a few more years before she starts her career as a mother." she muttered. Her blue eyes flickered up again a moment later though, once again bright and cheery. "How've you been?"
Angel twitched an ear uncertainly as the stallion spooked a bit, looking over at him skeptically. "Everything okay there?" She asked, whisking her pale, golden-white tail over her flank to make sure there were no flies that had landed without her realizing.

"Well that sucks that you can't see them. I'm still really close with all of my friends because I didn't have a lot of friends at school. People made fun of me because riding is a 'girl sport', so most of my friends were people at the barn that actually understood how hard it is," he said, putting air quotes around 'girl sport'. "Hey, do you wanna go on a trail ride later? I'm sure Cody would love the break instead of just preparing for our show." (I had my lesson tonight on the horse I'm showing later this month and it was fantastic! I can't wait for the show. Plus, this horse usually places really good. I got my first blue ribbon on him two years ago)

One of my best friends back home was a horse rider like myself, and he was made fun of, but me and the rest of my friends stood up for him because he wasn't the only male rider." She petted Delilah and nodded. "Yeah, a trail ride sounds good. I'm sure all of us would appreciate a break from show preparation. It gets boring and tiresome after a point. You can find me later when you want to go on a trail ride because I have to make sure Delilah's show tack is good and ready for the show."

(Thanks. I'm also working a show prep camp which means standing in the middle of the arena as little kids almost run me over XD)
"Yeah, my sister tried standing up for me. It was kinda embarrassing, but she's also really small so most of the guys just ignored her,"'he said, shrugging. "I still gotta clean all of Cody's show tack. I just cleaned it so we could practice in it, but I need to clean it again before the show," he groaned. At least he wasn't in charge of cleaning tack of for a bunch of horses like he'd used to be. He would go home at night with prune fingers and smelling like saddle soap. "I'm ready whenever you are, I just gotta throw a saddle on Cody," Ian said, leaning up against the fence as he spoke.
