The self-proclaimed scientist tilted his head, eyes narrowing as be tried to guess his low a price he could get away with. "Being a hunter, you've no doubt got teeth and eyes of some kind of creatures. Assuming you cut off the head, seeing as no one around here is likely to eat rat brains, those things are typically wasted. Now, if I'm careful how I ask I can usually get them for free, so if you want to sell you'd better be willing to go quite low." All the time he was speaking, he had been fiddling with his pockets, feeling the last few coins he had with him. He hadn't taken up a job in too long.

mintedstar/fur, Lark"Oh really? It's like a water horse?" Matteo asked, looking up at the cart and peeking inside the cage. "Oh it's so cute!" He exclaimed, about to stick one of his hands in the cage to pet it, but he stopped before doing so, looking at both of them. "Oh uh, may I pet it?" He asked with a huge grin. -- John 3:16, »ƑαƖcσηCiel took a step back, standing at the empty eastle as he stared after Geraridi as he took a package from the messenger boy. He frowned, slowly following him over, smirking some as he noticed the other boy's bow. He then turned toward the painter, saying, "perhaps he could teach you a thing or two about manners," he grumbled right back.

Buffy narrowed her eyes, much more in her comfort zone now. Haggling...that she could do. She tilted her head at the strange man. "Four shillings for the whole head not yet drained, two for the teeth." she said at last.

It was dreadfully obvious that if she hadn't known he wanted them, he could have gotten them for free. Sherlock felt a bit annoyed with himself for not anticipating this before hand and tricking her, but it was too late now, so he simply crossed his arms stubbornly. "Oh, please, you can do better than that. Who agrees to the price on the first try, anyway, unless they're very rich and in a hurry. No, no...ah, four shillings for the whole lot."

Katio quickly grabbed Matteo's shoulder and pulled him back a few feet. Through the cage he could see the horse eye them hungrily. "I wouldn't advice it. Unfortunately, it will not be in my possession very long. So I do not know..." The Viscount shrugged. He had always been the straightforward type, so saying all this felt pretty pointless. "Truth is, this horse would care very much to eat everyone in this marketplace. If it wasn't for the fact steal bars are in the way it would try. So keep your hands away please."

Buffy considered briefly, staring into the man's icy blue eyes. It wasn't like she was going to get a better deal...what sort of strange person even thought to bargain for the head, anyway? Then again, there was simply no way he would know her usual customers. "Five shillings for the whole lot, if you tell me what you need them for." she said at last, a wicked grin spreading across her features. That ought to make things interesting.

"Same to you." Geraridi growled back, the lord really grinding his gears now. Setting the painting up top, to both let it dry and keep it out of the hands of the brat, he sighed as he grabbed another surface to paint on. Tearing open his package, he smiled as he saw that this is indeed what he had been expecting. Brushes, freshly made, he could tell by the wonderful smell. Standing for a moment, he decided whether to let this boy at one of his brushes just to shut him up. One was for the idea, one was against it, as it would not be good to have Ciel go to his parents, Geraridi's employers, and probably have him fired.

"You can't raise the price and add a new term at the same time." Sherlock protested indignantly, trying to figure out how to get the huntress to give in before nightfall. The embarrassing truth was that he didn't currently have five shillings- in fact, he had three. No way was he letting her know that, though, not when he could still come out on top here.
"Okay, new deal." The taller man said decidedly, smirking as though in complete control. "Three shillings for the whole lot, and I'll let you tag along and see for yourself." Ha. Say no to that.

Matteo looked from the wizard, then to Katio, shaking his head. "I-I'm sorry...I don't want to be eaten!" he mumbled, now hiding behind the Viscount some, then stepped to the side so he could barely see the horse in the cage. "I-I won't do it again, I promise. But, uh, if I come to your place to go horseback riding, I hope this isn't the one we will use!"

Buffy opened her mouth to protest, but shut it again as curiosity threatened to overwhelm good business sense. She could come by more shillings somewhere else...right? "Fine." she said at last. She wasn't very likely to get another chance to see what the deal was with this guy...she'd heard some pretty crazy rumors, come to think of it. "Three shillings and you show me what you do. And if you bail on me I'll find you eventually, so...don't." she added awkwardly.

"If not, I'll send him," he dipped his head over to the messenger boy, "up to tell my parents."

Viscount Katio patted Matteo on the shoulder in an attempt at comfort. "Don't worry, it wont be eating anyone. I'm just holding onto it for someone. It will be at their house by to night. So, no, no one will be riding it and this includes you." Well, I have no idea what the noble who will get this will do with it. But it will probably get back to the wild. Mask will see to that. After he's done with it. Katio smiled a little, but tried not to show it.

Sherlock clasped his hands together, a childish expression of triumph flashing in his piercing blue eyes. "Splendid. Since you've got the bag right there, I assume you were coming by to drop off the day's catch, shall I have a look?" He stepped forward, reaching towards the bag to pluck it out of her grasp and peer curiously inside.

Buffy leaned forward and opened the pouch. In the very same motion, she snatched his purse off him and flipped it open. "Ha!" she exclaimed triumphantly. "Has, I knew it! You only had three, all along." She grinned, dumping the coins into her hand and depositing the head and teeth onto the table. "Clever bluff. I'll take it. Now, I think you owe me a tour."

Matteo looked up at Katio, a little glad he wasn't scolded. He nodded slowly, eyeing the creature again. "Oh really? Well why isn't it just delivered to whoever needs it?" He asked with a tilt of his head. "N-nevermind. That's probably another stupid question. I'll shut up now so you two can finish," he suggested with a grin.

Pulling out a simple craft brush, saving the more professional ones for himself, he carefully handed it over, a nervous exhale following his actions. "Fine." He said, giving in to Ciel. Geraridi ran another hand through his hair as he pulled out another surface to paint on and setting it on the easel. "We're gonna need to paint it white first..."

( Aaaaaaa so poofy Im sorry x-x I'll take pidge out and bbl )
Pidge bowed again and took off, past the knights and the fine ladies out into the courtyard and back into the more familiar town streets. It was rare he got to go into the castle, but that wasn't something to dwell on yet. The darkening sky signaled the approach of night, and he had to get the day's earnings tucked safely back into his hiding hole before the thieves came out in force.

Sherlock stiffened as his purse was snatched away from him, but he made no effort to get it back. It didn't matter if she knew, now that the pouch was safely in his possession, she was the only one who risked a loss here. "Oh, a rabbit, big one too, so you've been in the woods then?" As he spoke he stowed his new heads in a small bag by his side, positioned carefully so that it would be extremely difficult to steal from it.
"So tell me, just curious, did you start going farther from the town before or after you realized you couldn't be royalty?" He continued casually, glancing at her to see her response. "Must've been a disappointment, the whole royal blood concept."

(Falcon, you could still have Pidge interact with them if you wanted. They're just about to kill each other, that's all xD)
Ciel grabbed the simple brush from him, then turned toward the blank surface. "I know that already, but thanks for trying," the boy muttered, dipping the paint brush into some white paint, then began smearing it all over the surface, glancing over at him now and then. "Is this all you do- for your job, I mean." The noble asked, looking back toward the painting as he continued to smear white everywhere.

"Uh, yeah, it makes good money. I also sing sometimes." Geraridi said, watching each brush stroke from the son of the lord onto the surface. "You need to clean up your strokes. You're making these lines-" Geraridi pointed to the lines left by the strokes of the brush onto the surface, throwing a glance at Ciel. "And it'll mess up whatever you're trying to make." Geraridi noted, taking one of his own and fixing up some of the strokes.

"Don't worry," said the Viscount. "It isn't a dumb question." But he didn't say more about the matter. Better the child not know about him being a thief. He turned back to Dipper. "Please take it to my house. Um..." he said on second thought. "Actually, I better show you where it is." He turned to Matteo. "Want me to show you as well? Since I don't think you'll be sealing any more papers this late in the day."

"Stick to painting," Ciel mumbled, then paused for a moment as he listened to what Geraridi had to say about the stroke marks. He nodded and then began helping smooth out the lines. "Ah, i see. Well after we paint it right, I can continue painting, right?" He looked over st him for a moment. "What would you suggest I paint?"

Matteo nodded at what bother Dipper and Katio said. "Yes, I understand!" He said, then looked at the Viscount at the offer. "R-really! Well yeah I'll go with you guys!"

Katio chuckled a little and started walking. "Okay then, follow me." He took a couple of side streets, trying to stay out of most of the crowd. The buildings started to get more and more upper-class and he started to read street signs to figure out which way to turn.

Geraridi said, ignoring the side comment thrown at him as he wiped off his brush on a rag. "I'm probably gonna start another thing as well..." Another thing had come to mind as he talked, and it was of himself with a dirtied up face, wearing a cloth covering his mouth as his bright, insanely red hair flowed in the wind around him. It was an interesting idea, one that had definitely been inspired by his strange dreams.

Matteo dipped his head slightly, looking at Dipper with a grin before taking off after the Viscount. He held his new stuffed toy in one hand, staring around at the crowds that were beginning to die down since night was approaching. "Hey, you said the servants had kids, right?" The boy asked, then yawned a little, quickening his pace to keep up. "C-could I possibly meet them?"

I'll just wat h you paint," the boy replied with a shrug, holding the brush put toward him. "Unless you think differently."

"Oh, uh... alright." Geraridi said, raising his eyebrows in surprise as he took back the brush. "Do what you'd like to, I guess." Geraridi said, bringing back the image of himself in his mind as the blindingly red-haired rebel. Grabbing his paints and mixing up the red he saw in his head, he began to swipe it in the general direction of where his hair was flowing. He was slightly self-conscious, not really used to having someone watching him do his work, but he tried to block it out as best as he could.

"Sure," said Katio. "If they are around." He walked along the hedge lined path. He looked, careful to watch for any passing carts. But it was probably to late for them to be out. He held out his hand, reaching into the hedge, then pulled down something. "This is my entrance. Come in," he said to Matteo. He pushed the hedge and it swung open. Part of the hedge had overgrown a gate and now it was invisible to the outside world. "It's also the entrance my special deliveries come through. The servant entrance is on a different street and often times to busy in the day for my deliveries to get in before evening."
