"R-really? Okay, hold on one second!" Matt muttered as he stared at the coins in his hand. He counted out the amount, frowning slightly at the amount he would have after he paid. He blinked and, after a moment of thought, handed Zacharie the coins. "There. Thank you, mister!"

(Not sure lark!)
"Pleasure doing business with you," Zacharie chuckled, taking the coins from the boy and swiftly counting them as he put them away. Perhaps this would be a good day for business after all. He picked up the paper again and flipped through it, then stuck it into one of the drawers on the other side of the cart.

Komaeda got out of his seat, taking two anpans into one arm, the other hand bringing a sweet bun to his mouth so he could bite into it. He had heard people outside, and he was actually quite curious as to see what was going on outside.
Leaving one or two pasteries on the table, he scarfed the rest of the anpan he was eating down before going outside again, spotting the travelling merchant and a child. His gaze lit up, this was exactly what he was hoping for.
Eagerly approaching the man, his free hand went to dig around in his pocket, grabbing a handful of coins. "Do you have a, um..." He started, but abruptly trailed off as he tried to find the words to say, a troubled frown crossing his face. It was something you wore around the neck, but it wasn't a cravat... What was it?
What was it?
It was the object the boy in his dreams had always wore, yet he couldn't recall the name of it. It was peculiar, like a triangular cloth you tied around your neck. Like a longer version of a bandana...
"...Do you have a green scarf?" That wasn't quite it either, but it was close enough, Komaeda supposed.

(the first snow/winter thing was just to add a general deadline so this couldn't drag on forever lol. We have to have them fall asleep and dream about the clearing before we can get there, so no clearing tonight Cx They're only like, halfway through the first day here )

(( back! )) "That'll work," Arlo said as she looked through the bag at the pieces of charcoal. "How much do you want for it?" Vyra would be happy. (( sorry for the short post ))

Smokey watched the proceedings with interest, then backstepped a bit and went around the gathering crowd. "See you." He waved to merchant and the small boy and sort of avoided the cloaked person before trotting off farther down the road on his quest to find bottled fog.
(Either someone can follow him or meet up with him, or just let him kind of vanish for a bit idk Cx Kinda waiting for dusk to get on so the princesses can go to the market before we end the day )

Zacharie looked up when Komaeda approached. "A green scarf?..." He removed one from the wooden support, beside where Matteo's grey scarf had been, and showed it to Komaeda. "This fine scarf is a shilling," he announced to the newcomer, not quite holding it out far enough for him to take it. This was a more recently acquired item, and seemed to be made mostly of silk. "The charcoal is two pence for four cuts," he told Arlo happily.

Zacharie purred and plucked the coins from Komaeda's hand, giving him the green silk scarf. "Pleasure doing business with you!" he sung happily and slipped the money into his bag. "Do let me know if you need anything else." He wondered why this man was so eager to buy a specific scarf, but the joy of being paid distracted him from prying. He watched Smokey continue on his way and raised one hand in a goodbye.

Hinata adjusted the weight of one bag briefly, continuing to trudge down the street as he did. Once he got used to the weight of all of the baking materials and the crowds of people jostling around him, his mind went back to the thoughts of his strange dreams and the even stranger person he met before.
He was pretty, he mused. But he had such expensive clothing. Silky, vibrantly dyed. His ears and tail were certainly striking. Yet.. the collar around his neck suggested some form of slavery. Was he running away from enslavement? Maybe he was some sort of prized pet?
He felt like his thoughts were running away with him, at this point. Hinata was sure he'd never see him again. They'd taken off in opposite directions, and who knows where the white-haired boy was headed in this enormous city. Hinata stifled the tug of disappointment at this thought. ..Wait, why should he feel let down or crestfallen about this, anyways? It's not like he knew him or.. anything.. right?
Hinata frowned. No.. He felt like he at least saw him. From somewhere. ..Why? Something was just off about this whole situation..
Gradually, though, his thoughts became a little listless and he could only find dead ends to his questions. Hinata found himself drifting past to the present day, checking the street he was on before realizing he was almost back to the bakery. Well, time sure flies when you're practically having an existential crisis over a pretty boy, huh?
He turned around a corner, jogging the last few steps to the doorstep of the bakery, shaking off the raindrops that collected and weighed down the tips of his short hair. The werewolf used his back to push through with the items, entering the humble cottage. "Naegi," he called over to him, in an attempt to catch his attention to help him take away some of the weight of his load. "You asked me to get some things for you last night, right? I have some coins left, too.."

"...Be happy..."
A lonely girl shed pained tears, yet a warm smile was still present on her face.
"...No matter what I might say..."
This was it, wasn't it?
"...No matter what I tell you..."
The last he heard of her.
"That is my h o p e ."
.............
......
...
Naegi had, inevitably, fallen asleep, with his face resting against his hand.
Then, there was the sudden ring of a bell, and a far away voice calling out to him, jolting him out of his dreams. His heart was beating hard and fast, and he knew it wasn't just because of shock.
Looking up, his eyes focused on Hinata, and the boy relaxed ever so slightly.
"Oh, uh... yeah. Let me get some of that for you," Naegi absentmindedly murmured, letting out a yawn as he moved out from behind the counter, slowly taking a sack of flour to lessen the load a bit. "Um, just put it in... the kitchen. I'll put it away later. Keep the change." He had already gotten some spare change of his own from one of the customers earlier...
Before Hinata could respond, Naegi turned away, a troubled frown on his face. "There's, uh..."
His voice was as distant as he felt.
"...Kusamochi. On the shelf. Take it. It's... it's on the house."
And, with that, he disappeared into the kitchen.
The gentle jingle of a bell caught Komaeda's attention, turning his head just in time.
Someone with familiar short brown hair and commoner's clothes disappearing into the bakery he had just been in.
Surely, this was a stroke of good luck.
Leaving Zacharie behind without a word, the royal pet was careful to be quiet, slowly opening the door after the boy who just entered. Peering in cautiously, he saw the baker mention something before abruptly disappearing into the back of bakery.
Though he was curious, it certainly wasn't any of his business.
One of his ears twitched as he focused on the more important topic at hand, which was the person who was carrying some supplies. It was him.
That wasn't their last encounter.
...Hopefully, the ring of his collar would be excused as the door opening instead.
Clutching the silky green scarf between his hands, he tip toed his way up behind him, feline eyes practically sparkling with excitement. Then, carefully, yet swiftly, he gently wrapped the fabric around Hinata's neck, pulling away to admire his work.
"Wow! It's a perfect fit, just like I thought!" The lucky cat finally gushed, hands eagerly clasped together in joy.

{Hey Dusk ! I'm alright. How about you? Hiya Clovve. Same here : p I can rp for the next 2 or 3 hours before heading to bed. If anyone would like to ^^ }
Eises opened the fence gate to allow the sheep to trot outside. Another small canine jogged behind them, herding them a bit towards the East. The two dogs happily stayed at the flock's sides, taking care that the sheep won't wander off into their own direction. She followed closely behind, pointing her staff toward the direction of the outskirts, which wasn't very far off. The buildings and houses that lay in the outskirts were clearly visible. The dogs noted the movement of her staff, and led the sheep in the same direction. She was hoping none of the sheep were feeling brave enough to try to stray and enter any paths. The last thing she needed was to run around chasing after her the little horned devils throughout the streets. She had the flock stop several metres from the nearest building and allowed them to graze. She leaned into her staff to catch her breath; she would let her dogs do most of the watching this time. The shepherdess was feeling unusually tired today.

( Ack sorry for poof, I've been working on a paper x-x I can just have him ring for them at the gate, just have an NPC maid deliver the message. )
Daniel led his black horse out of the stables and mounted up, signaling to the carriage driver who was waiting nearby for him after the princesses ride was prepared. With Daniel leading the way, the carriage drove up to the front gate where Daniel dismounted, much to the dismay of his horse who had thought they were going farther. "Easy, Phantom." Daniel patted the horse's neck. "We'll go in a moment." Handing the reins to a nearby gate attendant and waving to the carriage driver to wait, the knight walked inside the grounds and caught the attention of a nearby maid. "Excuse me miss, would you take a message to the princess' that their carriage is awaiting them out front?"
