Sunlight trickled its way through the pine trees, casting its rays of warmth through the areas below. Towards the back, a large oak tree loomed over the camp. Upon the roots sat two toms, both of similar appearances with their amber and copper eyes piercing through the shadows. The exceptions were that the one with copper eyes had a black pelt whereas the one with amber eyes had a smokey gray pelt. Otherwise they portrayed quite similar looks to be identified as brothers. Both toms were in the midst of a conversation. Perhaps a sincere one considering their tones were hushed and their head close together. Whatever conversation they were having was cut short, as the sounds of voices approaching was getting particularly loud. The brothers turned their heads in unison over towards the bramble entrance. Through the small path emerged three cats: two she-cats and a tom. The two she-cats seemed to be supporting the tom, whom appeared to be limping awkwardly. The black furred tom rose and leaped from his spot on the oak's roots, swiftly making his way towards the group whereas his brother stayed behind. "I told you that you should have no chased after that bird. Danger lurked around where it was." "Oh shut it you old loon! Like you would have ever known this would happen." "Sparrowtuft! Don't be so rude to Shadeblossom! It's your own fault anyways that you weren't paying attention to anything in the first place." "Oh I see, so it's entirely my fault that—" The argument was cut short from the lash of the black tom's long tail. "Enough. You guys are squabbling like a bunch of crows." He meowed flatly, casting his gaze at the three cats. "Sorry 'bout that Eveningstar..." The tom mumbled, still a bit indignant from the little bicker with the two she-cats. Eveningstar Eveningstar gave a curt nod and turned his attention to the silver tabby she-cat. "Orchidfrost, please explain what on earth happened to him." He meowed, sounding slightly exasperated. It was almost as if this wasn't the first time an occurrence like this happened. "Well we were out on our hunting patrol not too far off from Thunderpath," she explained. "Sparrowtuft had found a crow and went after it. When he went to chase it, he stepped on a sharp piece of glass. Shadeblossom and I went to go help him to return him back to him." When she was finished, Eveningstar went quiet for a moment. He finally replied, "Take him in so he doesn't end up getting an infection." The tom then turned and padded off, leaving it at that. The two she-cats took the injured tom over to the medicine cat's den. Eveningstar bounded over towards the boulder on the edge of the clearing. Once on top of it, he made his call. "Cats of Shadowclan, please gather!" He yowled, his voice ringing clearly throughout the camp. Cats made their way out of the shadows, some already settled in having been in the area prior to the call. A few were already passing concerned glances and mumbled conversations, having had seen one of the warriors escorted to the medicine cat's den. Others were keen to see what the leader had to say. "I have an announcement to make. Or rather, a reminder of sorts," Eveningstar began, scanning the crowd of cats below him. "It has come to my attention that there have been a few cats in the past while that have sustained injuries from broken shards of glass. I would like to advise any cats that happen to be by the Thunderpath to keep their distance from there area. I do not want any of my Clanmates getting any more injuries like these. That is all." With that the slender black tom briskly leaped off the boulder, leaving the cats to their own manners. Most went off to resume their duties while a few others lingered to chat among each other a bit longer.
The Shadowclan leader made his way back over to the roots that made up his den. His brother was there waiting for him, the smokey gray tom already seated on one of the roots. "Hey Smokeyhorizon." he greeted, as he stepped up on the root and sat himself next to his brother. He then rested his head on his paws and gave a sigh, mulling over his thoughts. "That's the third idiot that got glass stuck in their paws." Smokeyhorizon commented gruffly, lashing his tail. "I know, I can count you furball." Eveningstar huffed, half amused. He pushed himself up to a sitting position, his amber gaze drifting over to the medicine cat's den where Sparrowtuft was taken. "I know... It's just that, something like this never happened so frequently," he meowed aloud, speaking his thoughts to his littermate. "I mean yes we've had those rare instances where it would happen; twolegs throw their junk beside Thunderpath from time to time. But, it seems to be happening more and more. I can't help feel this may become a problem. Or... perhaps I'm just worrying too much...?" Silence loomed over the two brothers, leaving them to their own thoughts for the meanwhile. After a bit, the spell finally broke when Smokeyhorizon gave his brother a small nudge. "You're just overthinking things Eveningstar. A lot of things happened over the past few moons. Trust me, I... understand you too..." The smokey gray tom drifted off, his tone catching slightly off edge for a moment, recollecting what appeared to seem a dismal memory. He blinked a few times, snapping back to reality. He gave a quick cough and continued. "Um, yes. Twolegs always leave their junk laying around, so there are just some times it happens more frequently. Don't stress out about it." He meowed, sounding genuine for once. Eveningstar turned his head to his brother, slightly taken aback. This was probably one of the rare occasions where he sounded this sincere. "Thanks, I needed that." He meowed, giving half a smile. The tom then averted his gaze to the sky and gave a sigh. Perhaps I am thinking about this too deeply, he thought. Though, I still just can't help have this feeling... That the future of Shadowclan is going to be a grim one.

They have always seemed to be the "darker" Clan, with fierce, more disagreeable warriors. This dark reputation has been earned over the years by an unfortunate run of corrupted leaders, twisted minds, and bitter plots. They are proud, loyal, defensive, and slightly arrogant; often seem to be misunderstood and portrayed by the other Clans as battle-hungry, aggressive, ambitious, and greedy for more territory. It was often said when the Clans were in the forest, that the cold north wind of the mountains chilled the ShadowClan warriors' hearts. However, as Rock states in Cats of the Clans, ShadowClan have the smallest amount of territory and prey, which may justify their readiness to add anything to the fresh-kill pile. Even though their fierce warriors and hostile leaders earned ShadowClan its reputation, the leader Dawnstar led Firestar to believe ShadowClan were not always as unfair and cruel as they seem now. Their main prey are reptiles and amphibians, such as lizards and frogs. A secret food source is the carrionplace, though they are careful not to eat crow-food. ShadowClan cats hunt best at night, and are better than others at sneaking through undergrowth.

ShadowClan's territory is located in an area that Twolegs have no specific name for. Landmarks in this territory include: { ★ } Camp - A dark, well-concealed hollow hidden deep in shadows. It is surrounded by prickly and fierce brambles. { ★ } Carrionplace - An evil place where rats and diseases lurk. { ★ } Thunderpath tunnel - Thunderpath tunnel - ShadowClan cats move freely across the most feared part of the Thunderpath. This has enhanced their reputation for mysterious strength and invincibility. { ★ } Burnt Sycamore - An ancient tree struck by lightning moons ago. Apprentices are trained here to hunt at night and stalk through undergrowth. The forest is quite different on ShadowClan's side of the Thunderpath. Instead of thick trees, there're more pine needles. The camp is protected by brambles, and the entrance is through a tiny path. There is hardly any grass, but the ground is muddy and cool. The leader's den is beneath the roots of a big oak tree. The warriors' den is under a bramble bush. The den looks prickly on the outside, but on the inside, it's lined with pine needles and moss. There is a smooth boulder at the edge of the clearing, which serves as a higher place for the leader to address the camp. Propped up next to this large rock is another rock, and it creates a sheltered cave underneath. It is the medicine cat's den. Sick cats can rest in the ferns surrounding the boulder. There is another hollow shielded by a thorn bush. This is the nursery, and the thorn bush is protection. ShadowClan is filled with wild creatures that either feed or threaten them. Below is a list of animals widely known to be in the Clan's territory as of right now. Some are more common than others! { Prey } { ★ } Squirrels[Uncommon] { ★ } Robins, Thrushes, Sparrows, & Blackbirds [Common] { ★ } Rabbits & Hares [Rare] { ★ } Frogs & Lizards [Common] { Predators & Enemies } { ★ } Hawks, Owls, Falcons, & Eagles [Common] { ★ } Dogs & Twolegs [Rare] { Other Animals } Today's weather is partly cloudy with a nice breeze rolling in. Later in the afternoon, we have a chance for light rainstorms. It is about 68°F (20°C). The current season is late greenleaf.

In General Well, we all know forum and ghost rules still apply here, so that is that. Mainly, this rule is a quick rundown of things and some will be expanded upon more in other rules. Just a warning, it is a long list so be prepared to read all of this if you want to join this role-play. We did not type this all out for people to ignore what we say and just do what they want. It is our role-play, we created it, you must abide by our rules or join something else. Stealing is a big no-no. Do not steal or take too much inspiration from this. Ask us if you want to use an idea we came up with, coding, graphic ideas, or anything from this page. Activity There are plenty of rules people dread. Activity and literacy are the ones that come to mind of those people hate most. Oh well, to us, they are indeed necessary. We will get to literacy later, right now, we will focus on activity! Being active and committed are two important key factors to a role-play’s success. There is a difference between the two and they obviously work best together. Before you join our role-play, ask yourself if you may be active enough and if you can commit. Now, we will not be angry if later down the road you leave the role-play or something big happens. However, if you are contemplating whether or not you will leave the forums, sorry, but we kindly ask you not join. Sure, you can be active on here, but if you are not aiming to stay and possibly climb up the ranks of the moderator hierarchy, then once again, this is not for you. We do understand that to create a long-lasting role-play happens, but setting up the roadblocks to potentially make it does a lot. Now to get onto the stuff we all know and love: activity requirements. For those who are trusted members and above, you will need to be on five days of the week. If you are not on for three days, we will have a warning mark and like your post to bring you back. The fourth day you are gone, we will simply delete you. Regular members and new members, you have four days that you need to be on each week. You will follow the same as the trusted members and higher with four days, and then five. To be considered “active,” you must actually role-play and not just chat. Upon deletion, you will receive a private message stating why and what we could potentially do for if you come back if you can. Role-play & Literacy The whole advanced role-play thing is quite debatable, but with our past role-plays, we have introduced a new way to be “advanced” but to where you can relax a little bit. We only ask that you try to have proper grammar, correct spelling, and decent detail. Effort counts and we can see when it is put in. Unlike WCF, paragraphs appear much shorter and we are well aware of that, so do not worry too much about length, however, no shorter than three sentences. There is also a debate with detail. If you can paint a scene to where we can see it in my head, you have done a good job. However, this is not Lord of the Rings and we do not need to know the exact details of a tree’s bark or the backstory of every thought your character has. When it gets to that, it would be considered “fluff.” With that side of the debate, we agree it is pretty useless. So, please be descriptive, but not to where we have to read ten paragraphs to get the point of your response or starter. The role-play will follow GMT, we will have a timezone chart on the discussion page. This is to help keep things organized. Leaders and head moderators will be responsible for keeping track of time and moving the role-play along. Due to time being tracked with each post, we kindly ask you head your posts. At the top, have the name of your character and the landmark they are closest to. Obviously, please also include the time of day. If you do have special coding, please make sure the colors, text size, and everything else is easy to read. If not, we will kindly ask you not to use it or to edit it so we can read it. Role-playing & Realism Seeing impossible things happen when there can be no real reason for them to happen other than favoritism in the books or just because you want to look cool will not fly here. So please refrain from having your cat fight and kill a badger on their own. Instead of having your cats "smile" or "cry," just expressing that emotion in other ways. Cats can not have powers, they can not fight a pack of dogs without getting injured or by themselves. In the Warriors universe, there are certain things that can and can not happen, so please abide by those rules and our rules. Now, general role-play rules play along with realism. It is too coincidental when your character gets all of the spotlight, so please do not do that. There will be moments when your character’s plot or spot in the limelight will take front and center. God-modding and meta-gaming are a no go for us, so do not even think about it. Please keep in mind that cats do die. We're not asking for you to slaughter them all, but if we have a greencough outbreak, not everyone is bound to survive it. At the same time, please do not go on a killing spree with your cats. Role-playing & Plots With each side plot comes a designated date they can happen depending on who is involved. We will have a calendar for when certain plot points and events will happen and they will be posted in the news section. All side plots need to be approved by an admin or a head moderator. This includes fox attacks on the camp or a badger attack. Kitting needs to be set on a certain date so no one can interfere with that. Keep in mind that there is a system of what takes priority for plots. Main plot events will be priority over everything. Side plots that were decided on a week in advance will follow, then small plots that do not need to be approved. Please ask us before doing it if you are not sure about a certain plot needing approval. We will not be angry. We apologize to kit-stealers, but due to this being the original five Clans, we will not allow outside kit-stealing. It probably will happen at some point in this role-play, but between the five Clans. As for warrior ceremonies, we will accept name requests, but the current leaders will give them their name. This is to stimulate the books a little, however we may name them the name you ask for. Role-playing Rank & Continuity Changes If you were to break the rules and lose your position, we will come up with a reason for your character to step down or something like so. This is not to humiliate you, but to keep the role-play from "jumping" and to keep it smooth. If you were deleted and rejoined, we will simply say that your cats were sick. If you are deleted for the third time, we will announce your cats dead under different names. If you do not like this, well, we are not mentioning your cats, so you can not really get mad. If this does happen, admins or mods will offer throwaway cats for this. Just because you did not follow our rules does not mean our role-play needs to be messed up with continuity issues. Characters & Joining Before you rattle off a bunch of cats that you are joining with, keep reading to learn of the restrictions. Some names will not be accepted. Mostly due to it not making the most sense in our role-play or in the Warriors universe altogether. Make sure you have back-up names in case we ask for that name to be changed. Also make sure th check the prefix list. We will not accept any cats with the prefixes on any list, as they are already used or will be used fairly soon in each Clan. To be a little clearer about this, we will accept a Bluewhisker in one Clan and a Bluepaw in another, but not a Bluekit in either of those Clans. Keep pelt designs realistic. You do not have to be exact with genetics, but two gray cats can not produce a ginger cat. Mutations are alright to have, but we will only allow a handful. For every three kits in every three litters, one cat with a mutation can be born. Know that if you join with an apprentice, you must create a warrior. We would prefer more warriors over apprentices, as there is no set limit unlike apprentices. We will not allow orphan kits. We are alright with a permanent queen, but their kits must be apprentice aged or older unless you have found a mate for your cat. We may allow pregnant queens, but here is the deal. That cat will not be considered pregnant unless you found someone who is willing to be the father and the two are compatible or at least have a interesting relationship. If you both agree on it, we will put that the two are mates and you may have your cat find out she is pregnant. You have a week to do this and if someone says no, it means no. You can not pressure someone or constantly mention it to the point it is annoying. For those who feel uncomfortable towards LBGTQ+ topics, characters, and forum members, we ask you kindly not to join. We will be open to those characters, members, and we are sure the topic will come up in the role-play. The character limit for joining at the moment is eight characters per person per Clan. You can split these characters up however you want. Each person gets four prefix saves. Also keep genders somewhat even. Ranks So, want to be deputy? Well, you have to be chosen by the admin to get it. Please, please do not apply to be deputy or annoy one of the admins and others with hints in your posts. It is fine if it is a kit, apprentice, or a warrior who is too young to be one. Deputy is a rank in the Clan that is to be earned. We may and probably will take a while on deciding the first deputy. Medicine cats are different. If there is a position for medicine cat open, then you may take it, but you do need to follow the rules for trusted members and higher. Same with deputy, really. Medicine cat apprentices will not be allowed at first, as we want them to be role-played into getting the rank. Trusted members will be chosen by the admin of that Clan, as well as mods. They will be people who have been on the most and we feel like we can trust. They also have the first dibs on possibly recreating this role-play if something were to happen. Mentors are a privilege. While everyone should get an apprentice sooner or later, we will not hesitate to take that away. Courtesy In general, be courteous and respectful to everyone. Keep opinions that can cause wars to yourselves. If you have an issue with someone, take it somewhere else and please for the love of all that is good keep this role-play out of your posts! We do not want negativity linked with this role-play or role-plays somehow linked to this. We expect everyone to be polite and have manners on my role-play. If you go somewhere else and name this role-play because you have an issue with another member stealing your lollipop, we will not be happy. So refrain from that. Be cautious of your words, as they can potentially hurt someone. The saying, "grow a thicker skin," will not always be allowed here. Some things, yes, but more sensitive topics, we ask you be picky with your words. If you have a serious topic that you want to discuss, or even a plot that could "trigger" someone, give a warning first or private message the person you wish to talk to. Luckily, this forum provides a link to some hotlines to help with some things. Consequences This role-play has two systems that determine whether or not you are deleted. One is a universal system and the other is an extra precaution for mods and higher so they do their job. The universal system is called the Star System. It's quite easy. When you receive a star, it means you have done something that has broken our rules. The first star comes with a verbal warning. The second star allows me to delay side plots and take away apprentices. The third star cancels any side plots you have until you have gone back to the second star. Unfortunately, that could have an impact on another person, and cause some more issues, so please do not get this far. The fourth star takes you out of any plots and if you are in a high position, you are demoted. Meaning if you are deputy, you are now a warrior. If you are a mod, you are down to a trusted member. The fifth and final star means you will be deleted in two days if you do not shape up. Depending on the severity of your actions, like you fighting with someone and getting the page deleted, it may have you skip a star or two. You do have a chance to go back down the system after a week's time if you improve. The second system is a strike system. If any negative actions occur and a mod does not reprimand the person at fault, then they receive a strike for not doing their duty. Three strikes equal a star, so be cautious. Sandclaw created the graphics with stock images, save for the headers. The headers contain an image drawn by Rainleaf. The introduction was written by ƑαƖƖєη Sтαяѕ. Mentors & Apprentices Padfoot mentors Buzzardpaw Stagflight mentors Nightpaw Plots for ShadowClan will be placed up here. Small summaries will be written by the person who created the plot. Key characters will also be listed below the plot. Main Plot In the past moon, three warriors of Shadowclan have sustained injuries due to broken glass. It has been reported numerous times that twolegs have been tossing glass bottles out of their cars as they drive by, essentially leaving the borders with a mass of glass shards. Though it has been typical that twolegs would throw out their junk near the borders, it has been becoming more of a problem as of late. This can prove to become a problem because not only can cats get these shards caught on their pads and fur, but they can drag it all around. With glass all over the place, it can quickly cause infection and injuries. Will this glass problem wear off? Or will Shadowclan's territory have glass scattered around everywhere, leaving it a hazardous place to even dwell in? Only time can tell. Before you post fan art of your characters or scenes, please make sure you have permission by the artist and give them credit. Crediting does not always mean you have permission. There will be lineart provided by Rainleaf, so you are welcome to use that for this role-play only. I will not allow cat generator pictures, even if credit is given.

{ ♂ } - - { Eveningstar | 45 Moons { That time of day perfectly describes this cat, evening. When looking at him, Eveningstar is a short-furred, long-legged tom with a black pelt and copper eyes. His fur isn't as soft with that smoky look as his brother however. As for his build, he has a lean and nimble build with upright pointed ears, along with a sharp looking body. In addition, his tail is on the longer side which balances to his long legs. This tom... he's certainly the troublemaker. He's a mischievous fellow who's always doing things he isn't suppose to do, yet somehow not managing to get caught most of the time. That's probably due to the fact he's rather sly and intelligent, not to mention witty. Eveningstar knows the power words can hold. Though his adventurous days were a thing of the past as an apprentice, he is showing signs of maturity and and strong leadership as a leader now. Back then as the troublesome apprentice no one would ever think he would shape up to be a leader, not even himself. Vixenstar however did see potential in her son as a young warrior and elected him as the Clan's deputy. The time Eveningfox, as he was known as then, was a deputy didn't last many moons. Due to a horrific accident forcing Vixenstar into the elder's den, he had to step up as leader. The loss of his sister Nettlepath hit hard on him, but he forced himself to stay strong. { ƑαƖƖєη Sтαяѕ {♂ } - - { Raventhroat | 25 moons old { Raventhroat is a sleek-furred tomcat with pale green eyes, and a smoky gray mottled pelt. His splotches are jet black, and he has a small, pink nose. If one looks carefully, you may find that the deep gray and black of his smooth fur blend together as one near his throat, making it difficult to distinguish where the markings begin and end. He has medium-length fur and a splash of lighter grey on the tip of each ear. Raventhroat is healthy-looking; he isn't especially lean, but he has smooth fur and bright eyes that mark him as a physically able tomcat. His claws are of normal length, and his paw pads are a light pink.
Raventhroat will reveal the rest of his personality through the roleplay, but thus far, he's a mysterious and intelligent medicine cat, who tends to be silent most of the time. On occasion, he can be urged into speaking, and he seems to be a calm, confident tomcat, who doesn't waste time beating around the bush. He knows how to hold his tongue, but he doesn't want to; if he has something to say, he says it, no matter what any other cat thinks. His unapologetic bluntness as gotten him into quite a bit of trouble in the past, but he doesn't seem to regret much of anything; most insults just pass him by, only ever acknowledged with a cold glare. In regards to Raventhroat's abilities, he is a skilled hunter, with silent paw steps, quick feet, and a knack for distracting prey with a swish of his tail. His knowledge of herbs can seem limited to other cats, but he's surprisingly calm when it comes to healing injured cats with cobwebs, and always prepares for certain situations; for instance, he set aside a store of catmint in case of a greencough outbreak. He may not be the best medicine cat, but he's good enough, though he'd much rather prefer to be a warrior. He is generally decent at fighting, but prefers to fight in a hunting position, tracking down enemies like helpless prey and circling them until they give themselves up. { relishthethought

{ ♀ } - - { Shadeblossom | 59 Moons { Ah, Shadeblossom. Sounds like a lovely name, no? Well, her looks do almost coincide with her name. She is a gray marble tabby she-cat, with her black swirled tabby markings making her pelt seem to take on a darker shade than it actually is. The gray fades off into a lighter gray, almost white, from her chest and stomach down. Her fur is towards a medium length with her tail being quite soft and feathery. As for her size and build, she is a considerable large cat. With broad shoulders and muscular body, she's built more for strength and endurance rather then speed and agility. Her eyes are a calm blue, which depict her overall personality well. Shadeblossom is, well... Trying to describe this she-cat, it's like trying to describe something you can't really put into words. There is a suitable word however that can descrive her: odd. You would really just have to have a conversation with this cat to really understand. { ƑαƖƖєη Sтαяѕ
{ ♀ } - - { Splashbelly | 54 Moons { An average sized dark-colored she-cat, Splashbelly fits in with the crowd. She has a thick and fluffy dark gray coat, with splashes of white on her chest and belly. Granted her name, Splashbelly does indeed have a splashed belly, though all of it is a snowy white color, along with her chest and whiskers. Her eyes are a pale yellow color, and give her the look that she is always thinking. She is wise and honest, though she prefers not to be tied down by a set personality. Different cats bring out different things in Splashbelly, whether it be the good or the bad. She could be considered a "personality nomad", since it tends to change no matter where she goes or how she feels. And though she may seem unpredictable at times, Splashbelly is set in her ways and doesn't usually wander from them. { Rushingwolf { ♀ } - - { Spottedclaw | 51 moons { A dark tortoiseshell she cat- most of her fur being black, with patches of ginger lightening her pelt, and only a few hints of white throughout her fur. She has dark green eyes and long, thick fur, the only difference between her and her daughter that can be seen. She is a little rough around the edges, prideful, and has the rule of never apologizing for her past mistakes. She just avoids them. At all costs. She's a bit impatient and has no tolerance for stupidity, making her a bit of a hard mentor. She was once mates with Hawkfur, but broke it off when she gave Sweetclover up to Windclan, believing that Hawkfur should have some part in their kits lives. After that, though, they had to break it up, due to their clanmates knowing. She never speaks of this affair, and will often ignore Hawkfur at gatherings, and will only acknowledge Sweetclover if they happen to make eye contact in the gatherings, yet if anyone asks she has disowned the wind clan warrior. In her mind, it will make it easier one day if (and when) they meet in battle. { Sweetclover1 { ♂ } - - { Smokeyhorizon | 45 Moons { When you think of smokey, you think gray correct? Well that is the case for this cat. Smokeyhorizon is a dark gray tom with amber eyes. His fur is on the shorter side yet has a soft and wispy feeling to it and gives the effect of smoke almost. His build is similar to the rest of his family, lean and nimble with upright pointed ears, along with a sharp looking body. Everything seems normal about his except one thing: he's colorblind. There are cases were you can still see some colors, but not with him. Smokeyhorizon can only see shades of black, gray, and white. In addition, any bright areas hurt his eyes so he prefers to stay in more shaded places of the Clan. More of a reserved fellow, keeping himself out from others. Well, with the exception of his brother sometimes. He gives off more of a cold vibe, not one for vibrant expressions. Smokeyhorizon tends to be annoyed easily when around others who are especially optimistic and bubbly. Certainly the pessimistic one you could say. Around his brother however... it's a bit of a different story. He's a bit more open when he hangs around Eveningstar. Even though he may not show it well, he will always be there for him. Especially after the loss of there sister Nettlepath. After her death, Smokeyhorizon never really felt himself really the same again. { ƑαƖƖєη Sтαяѕ { ♀ } - - { Rowanflame | 40 Moons { Rowanflame is a large and muscular she-cat. She has a thick, long pelt that is russet colored, given her name. With a mix of orangey-red, this she-cat is sure to stand out. To go along with her thick pelt, she has a long and plumy tail, much like a fox's. There aren't many defining features about this she-cat's appearance, other than the typical black tabby "M" on her forehead, and striking green eyes. There is only one other color on this she-cat's coat and that is white. She has a creamy, eggshell colored chin and neck, and even her top lips right near her nose are this color. She also has small eggshell colored hairs coming from her ears. Rowanflame is devoted, protective, and a bit hardheaded. Once she has something in mind, it is hard to sway her opinion, or keep her from doing it, especially if she thinks it's a great idea. Sometimes the things she gets herself into can be a bit much, and she usually doesn't find out until it's too late. She tends to use her heart over her brain, and finds it difficult to learn about life unless it is from past mistakes. Other than her faults, Rowanflame is a kind she-cat who would do anything to protect her clan and those she calls family. { Rushingwolf { ♂ } - - { Browncloud | 28 moons { A small tom is stature, Browncloud can easily be mistaken for an apprentice. He is a bit scrawny and lanky, and while he is young, Browncloud looks like he has seen quite a few battles. His left ear is torn in half and he has a small scar on the bridge of his nose. He is a bicolored tom- brown and white. His shaggy pelt is a dark brown color, though his underbelly and tail hold more of an orangey look, almost as if it were sun-bleached. All four of his paws are white; his back right one having the white color reach up to about his "knee". His chin, neck, and chest are white, along with muzzle. The white on his muzzle reaches up to right in between his amber eyes where it meets a sharp point. Browncloud is a quiet tom. He has a serious aura around him, sometimes causing him to be perceived as mean. And while he can be a bit gruff, he is generally a nice tom. { Rushingwolf { ♂ } - - { Padfoot | 25 Moons { Long silken black fur, an aristocratic face and almond shaped silver eyes. Padfoot is.. well, he's classic ShadowClan. A dark, well-groomed appearance, objectively he is rather handsome. The high cheekbones and scarless visage makes for an appealing physique. He's got that slender athletic appearance, not stocky and bumbling like ThunderClan. No, he's a pure-bred ShadowClan, with the feathered tail and long whiskers. His mother was very much in love with the house cat name Sirius when she was pregnant with him. Of course, she couldn't give him a house cat name– not her handsome, pureblood boy. So instead, she named him Padkit, and formally told the leader that his warrior name would be Padfoot, no exceptions, no substitutions. Padfoot being the colloquial name for the Sirius star cluster in the night sky. He is a rambunctious fellow, to put it lightly. His family has an ancient ShadowClan lineage– no half bloods or outsiders sully his genes. Of course, Padfoot couldn't give a rat's tail about any of that pure blood nonsense. It is the leading reason he and his living relatives are estranged. No, this black pelted male enjoys pranks, charming the ladies, and playing with his fellow marauding accomplices. His pranks sometimes err on the side of cruel, keeping his responses sharp, witty, and snappy. Sometimes he pushes his jokes too far, and he honestly doesn't care much for others outside his friend group. Oh, and he’s always… serious. { Featherwing { ♂ } - - { Bogwhisker | 25 moons { Long furred dark brown tom- his brown pelt changing shades wherever you look at him. His head is so dark, its practically black, while his legs are a paler shade of brown. He has white socks, white tail tip, and wide amber eyes. He's a dead ringer for his father, despite his fur being long and thick than short and tough. He has an X marked scar on the bridge of his nose from a border skirmish he was in earlier. He's a little sarcastic and has a bit of his mothers pride, not wanting to admit he is half clan. Although he and his sister are friendly- they try to see each other at gatherings when their parents aren't watching, he won't speak to his father at all, a small part of him blaming Hawkfur for not joining Shadowclan after he and SweetClover where born. He is loyal to his friends, and tries his best to make up for his parents mistakes/. { Sweetclover1 { ♀ } - - { Lilyroot | 25 Moons { Petite body with long ginger fur and eyes like a forest, this is an athletic angora-like female who don’t need no man. Also, she’ll fight you, just give her a time and a place. She keeps good care of herself, though vanity is not exactly her fatal flaw. When you look at her, sure you see the bright “red” fur but it’s her eyes, her shockingly green eyes, that set her apart. No other has quite this vibrant shade of emerald– or is it shamrock? Regardless, very green. Her face is well proportioned, ears not too big, eyes not too round, and cheek bones high and fine, but not necessarily aristocratic. Visualize the Turkish angora’s face. Now make it ginger. Add green eyes and boom, there you go. Born a kittypet, she wandered into ShadowClan’s territory at six moons old and never left. A firecracker of the highest calibre, Lilyroot has a big no bullying policy. She will also fight you. Her friends will tell you she is a sweet, kind hearted individual, her enemies will tell you she’s the furthest thing from warm and belongs under a frozen lake, where the water will be like a heated pool for her. She’s got hero worship for ShadowClan’s leader, has had one since she joined ShadowClan as a older kitten, and as she ages Lilyroot strives to be as responsible as he is. Is also super awkward around cats with crushes, on her or others. She just doesn’t know how to deal with anything that isn’t friendship. Literally thinks anything could be solved with a good fight. A fuzzy, angry cinnamon roll with no patience for cats who hate others for their blood or where they were born. Will fight you. Not joking, she will actually fight you. Very stubborn and will for sure try really hard to start a fight. { Featherwing {♂} - - { Stagflight | 25 Moons { A tall and thin dirty black tom cat, Stagflight's moderate to short fur is untidy and messy, poking up along his spine and bristling wildly along the back of his neck in a peculiar little ridge. He has a narrow face and somewhat elongated muzzle, with tall standing ears and yellow-hazel eyes. Now by saying 'dirty black' do I mean the brown underfur to his pelt, offering dark russet and dull dirt brown hues that largely contributes to the chosen prefix of his name. He's far more slight than the average Shadowclan cat- he holds a more angular appearance, compacted and narrow despite the same devious slant to his eyes and quirking maw. Had he been of a healthy litter, he undoubtedly would've been a strong and bulky feline, his lacking appearance of strength being pointed to blame by the apparent age of his parents when they were lucky enough to bare one runt to the world. This is of no consequence to him- speed and wit are by far better companions than brute strength, especially with friends of similar aspect although Padfoot could be considered arguably thick. If anything, Stagflight would only argue him to be fat. In his youth this pure-blood tom was rather cruel, taunting and relentless in his teasing of those he came to dislike. It wasn't until he matured and aged that his harsh tendencies abated, leaving him now to curb the actions of his closest friend though he may have once upon a time egged him on. And oh, let us not forget how terribly he would ignore the she-cats up until the arrival of one ginger kittypet whom caught his eye. Lilyroot is the sole purpose of any kindness he may bare toward others now, he working over time to be impressive when he knows fully well he's anything but. In him emerged a streak of bravery and key concepts he'd have otherwise never really noticed, playing on his faith and unparalleled loyalty to the point he risks his neck performing ridiculous tasks no other feline in their right mind may brave. { ρłαgυegı .. {♀} - - { Dandelionsneeze | 22 Moons { Clearly, this little calico she-cat is not a pureblood Shadowclan cat. Small, compact and lanky- she's the bearings of a Windclan cat, with the same wiry legs and skinny tail. Her angular, modestly defined facial structure and small rounded ears speak of speed, while her small ivory paws find easy footing among tough ground and sink terribly in the bog. In regards to her face, she has a narrow snout, peachy-colored nose, and ginger rim along the uppermost edge of it. The bridge of her nose fans out into slanted honey golden eyes, the ivory maple leaf that's center point tapers at the back of her head offering a partial frame to the black coloring the rest of the upper half of her face. Small, round ginger ears have the slightest point, elvish almost in appearance, and more than likely lay back in a sort of subdued gesture of conformity. Lightly tufted and modestly wavy fur, ivory by coloration save for black and ginger blotches along her back, upper flanks, and tale. She has yet to acquire any real scars, though her naturally lanky figure reveals prominent hip bones and the faintest outline of her ribs beneath her entirely too short pelt. As her often times hunched posture may admit, Dandelionsneeze is anything but a confident and outspoken feline. Even with her white fur she tries desperately hard to blend in and even hide herself, wanting nothing more than to be inconspicuous among her clanmates. With a soft, willowy voice and very little willpower of her own, she comes off as both a runt and a coward. This, despite all appearances, is not true. Yes, she is a runt. A coward? Perhaps just a bit. The use of her own claws is a terrifying thought, though she's found on many occasions that her extensive vocabulary and quiet observances have come to her aid in a battle of wits. She's a lover, not a fighter, and with a keen interest in abnormal facts. How she refrained from becoming a Medicine Cat? Well... she honestly doesn't feel Starclan would accept her due to her dirty halfblood heritage. A realist to an extreme, she's tentative to try new things and prefers to stick to the rules. Coming on to the topic of romance, this poor kitty's inability to properly express herself as well as her easy embarrassment of her own flaws is painstakingly obvious. Rather than take the initiative, she's the one to sit back quietly and sigh wistfully to herself. She's imaginative and creative, and while she may wish she had the bravery to act on her own feelings, she simply doesn't have the heart for it. Her outlook on mates and the likes is literally that no one will love you if you're unattractive- quite contradictory considering she herself is more drawn to personality than anything. But oh, don't tell this to her. She may fall head over heels for a cat purely by their personality alone, but her own low self esteem and lacking thought of considering herself as anything but ugly and dirty ruins her confidence to an extreme. She has literally no spine- to think she survives among Shadowclan when she barely has the nerve to even attempt flirting is absolutely beyond her.
Sneeze is such an odd suffix, and completely fitting for her. At only seven moons, innocent little Dandelionpaw fell ill- what had thought to have been fatally ill considering her size and lack of physical strength. The little fluffball, somehow, managed to pull through. Though she has had a horrible sneeze ever since- almost as if she developed allergies to everything and everyone around her. To hear her quiet little 'achoo' in the middle of the night is nothing new, and because of it she often had to isolate her nest from others during her time in Windclan. Now at eleven moons and nearing her Warrior Ceremony, Dandelionpaw came upon her father- a Shadowclan warrior whom, up to his death, spited her and never quite claimed her as his own. She joined Shadowclan on the account of being taunted endlessly for her sneezing in her former home by her littermates and fellow Apprentices, as it usually acts up with her nerves. Once she joined her new clan, she was subjugated to an extra four moons of training, just to assure she was aware of the new clan's workings and truly loyal. To this day she avoids border patrols like the plague, instead insisting upon hunting or any other excuse possible to remain in the heart of Shadowclan territory. As far as gatherings go, she either remains hidden within the territory or, if made to go, stays close to her clan and ignores Windclan entirely.

{ ♂ } - - { Buzzardpaw | 9 moons { Buzzardpaw is a large, well built tom. While he isn't exactly muscular looking, he has a lithe build that harbors muscles underneath. He is tall, and seems to be bigger than most cats his age. Buzzardpaw looks a lot like a Siamese, though his pelt is brown and not cream. He has a chocolatey brown pelt, with much darker brown legs, face, ears, and tail. His face is more triangular shaped and his ears are quite large and pointed. His almond shaped eyes are yellow in color. Buzzardpaw is quite prideful and takes much joy in being a ShadowClan cat. He has an arrogant personality, though underneath his tough persona he is quite the teddy bear. This tom would do anything to protect his clan and live up to its name. He is a proud ShadowClan cat, and will be until the day he dies. { Rushingwolf { ♀ } - - { Nightpaw | 6 moons { Nightpaw is a slender, lithe she-cat with green eyes. She's about average size for her age, neither too large or too small. Her fur is short and dark, not black, but instead a really dark gray. In the correct sunlight, you can see black bengal tabby markings in her fur, hidden by the dark gray coloring. Nightpaw isn't the most polite cat. Somewhere in her kit hood, she developed a bit of an attitude. Probably due to the bullying she received by the other kits she shared the Nursery with. She developed a snarky, condescending attitude and likes to joke sarcastically, although always at the most inappropriate times. She considers herself to be a marvelous actor and actually has quite dark intentions that will continually develop as she gets older. { Set from SSS

{ ♀ } - - { Vixensnarl | 81 Moons { Practically looking like the vixen herself, this she-cat takes on a vicious appearance. Vixensnarl is a dark russet she-cat with oddly dark green eyes. She is a tall cat with long legs and a tail. Her build is lean and sharp, similar to what she was named after. A few scars are scattered across her body, a few noticeably particular ones such as a nick in her left ear and a long scar on her shoulder on the same side. There is also another noticeable trait about her, one unfortunately that had her step down as a leader. Her back right leg is twisted at an odd angle, loose and never to be used again. How she got it was trying to save her daughter Nettlepath from a monster on the Thunderpath. Sadly however she didn't make it, and Vixenstar had lost a life and the use of that back leg. Though it is rarely talked about, she had still tried to resume leadership as Vixenstar. Her sons though were able to make her step down and retire to the elder's den. She kept her warrior name Vixensnarl, refusing to take on a name because of her deformity. As of now she still has two lives left. { ƑαƖƖєη Sтαяѕ

[[ Choose your starter~ cx ]]Burnt Sycamore | Near Dawn Eveningstar | 45 moons | Tom [ - x - ]
With the early morning just peaking out over the horizon in the distance, it brought some peace and serenity to the adventuring cat's mind. The long-legged black tom was walking through the, still shaded from the surrounding trees and foliage, with the soft pine needles below his paws making his steps quiet. He was at an easy gait as he had no sense of urgency to reach his destination. Speaking of which, where was the Shadowclan leader heading to at this time of day? The sycamore tree, struck by lighting so long ago, that loom ahead held the answer.
Once Eveningstar reach the tree, he stopped near it's base and gaze up the the burnt branches of the sycamore. His copper eyes glinted slightly, reflecting back on old memories. He was remembering his days as an apprentice, training here, oblivious. Oblivious to the future which was set ahead of him. "Heh. Seems like only yesterday I was running around here as an troublesome apprentice." The tom meowed his thoughts aloud to himself and the gentle quietness around him. He held out his paw and stroked the rough bark momentarily. Then retreating his paw, he padded around the sycamore tree while continuing to ramble on about his thoughts. "Who had any idea I would come out as a leader?" A sigh escaped him as he sat down near the roots. "What did mother see in me?" Eveningstar gave a huff in amusement at that thought. Vixenstar— no Vixensnarl, was certainly quite the interesting cat. Even to this day, he still didn't have much of a clue why she had picked him as her deputy rather than any other cat in Shadowclan. Oh the wonder. So, the black tom sat there reflecting on the past, his gaze off into the distance. coding by officialrainleafwcf
Shadowclan Camp | Near Dawn Smokeyhorizon | 45 moons | Tom [ - x - ]
A figure raced across the wide and treacherous path, thunder roaring in the distance. It suddenly froze, bright lights illuminating the terror in her eyes. He saw another figure sprint forward as fast as lightning towards her. In the blink of an eye the monstrous light collided with the specks of dark.
"No!" He yowled as his paws carried him over towards the path as fast as they could.
"Nettlepath! Mother!" His cries rang out, but did not echo back.
He kept running and running, yet he seemed to be getting farther and farther from the two still figures laying ahead. Still he kept running, desperate and helpless. A bright flash of light suddenly struck his eyes and he let out a cry of pain and shock. Then darkness washed over him.
The smokey-gray tom woke up with a jolt, his eyes wide and alert with his heart pounding against his chest. He scanned his surroundings and found himself in the peace and quietness of Shadowclan camp. Smokeyhorizon gave a sigh, his tail lashing slightly in irritation, as he settled himself down again on the roots that made part of his brothers den. Ever since Eveningstar became leader, he had found himself wandering from the warriors den and coming to the outside of his den to sleep or rest here. Eveningstar didn't mind, and not many seemed to particularly care.
It was just a dream, again. The warrior thought bitterly, trying to reassure himself. This was probably the one of many times he had dreams similar to this ever since the... incident. It had been a while since the last one, and he was worried and partly annoyed he suddenly had this dream again. Well that's a wonderful wake-up call. His amber gaze flickered to the sky. And it's not even dawn yet for Starclan's sake. He thought, exasperated. Smokeyhorizon gave a sigh and just let himself lay there. There was no use trying to go back to sleep at this hour. coding by officialrainleafwcf

Camp | Near Dawn Lilyroot | 25 Moons | Female [ ooc ]
Lilyroot was, as per usual, well awake by this time. She'd stumbled over Padfoot, awakening him in the process as she stumbled out of the den. She could hear him cursing her early-bird nature even as she left the den. Rolling her eyes, the bright ginger female peered about. Smokeyhorizon was in camp, predictably by the leader's den. He looked rather frazzled this morning, so she went over to poke her nose into his business. "Bad dream?" she tilted her head, startling green eyes staring at him with that ever curious glint in her eyes. She'd been having a lovely dream before her own rhythm of sleep rusled into the waking world. The she-cat's dreams were that she was finally promoted to a being of prominence in the Clan, despite being a former kittypet. That and Stagflight finally left her alone, but that's how she knew it was just a dream. The day he stopped asking to court her was the day the sky fell in, or the day Padfoot let his fur get mussed up. coding by officialrainleafwcf

Rowanflame bounded over to the leader's den, per her usual excited self. Most cats wouldn't be awake so early, and certainly not so energetic at such an early time, but not Rowanflame. She was different. This she-cat loved to wake up early, to feel the fresh dawn air on her fluffy pelt. She loved the sights, sounds, and smells of the morning. The cool air, the calm birds, the moonlight. This she-cat loved to sleep, as she went to bed every night rather early, but she also loved to be awake. The she-cat slowed her pace as she approached the den, not wanting to scare Eveningstar off. She knew how off-putting it was to some for a cat to be so energetic in the morning, and she certainly didn't want to anger the tom.
The ruddy colored she-cat waved her tail. "Eveningstar?" She called out, poking her head into the den. "I was wondering-" She cut off her words when she saw Smokeyhorizon and Lillyroot. Where was Eveningstar? "Oh. I'm sorry." She mewed blinking her bright green eyes. She had wanted to speak to Eveningstar about patrols, but that obviously wasn't going to happen.

Camp | Dawn-ish Lilyroot | 25 Moons | Female [ ooc ]
As it was, Lilyroot was almost startled out of her fur by Rowanflame's appearance. Almost. She kept much of her surprise off her face, but her eyes still widened in alarm for a fraction of a moment. "Ah, it's no worries. Don't worry about it– looking for Eveningstar were you?" The conversation could take a turn for the more interesting. Of course, she wasn't just thinking that because she too wanted to be out and about doing things despite how early everyone seemed to think it was. She glanced at Smokeyhorizon, "Any idea where Eveningstar went?" coding by officialrainleafwcf

[[ They do look great! Rain made them for us, which I thought was a really nice of a thing to do. ]] Camp | Near Dawn Smokeyhorizon | 45 moons | Tom [ - x - ]
The gray tom opened one amber eye to see the young warrior standing in front of his, curious. Well, he certainly didn't except anyone to be up at this hour. Then again, there were some early risers who maybe want to be getting up soon for patrols. Either way he still wasn't excepting to be approached so soon. Smokeyhorizon pushed himself up to a sitting position. "It's none of your business." He replied flatly as he gave a twitch of his tail, slightly irritated. He didn't really want anyone prodding in his business about his dreams. They were his own, simple as that. His ears perked up, hearing the sound of another voice and looked behind Lilyroot to see Rowanflame approaching. He looked to the sky as if searching for help. "By the stars is the whole Clan up now?" Smokeyhorizon grumbled under his breath. He gave a cough to clear his throat before speaking. "Eveningstar's not here," he meowed, his tone the the same monotone levelness that never really seemed to waver any emotion. "He probably left out on a walk or something." The warrior flicked his tail towards the camp entrance where his brother most likely had left. coding by officialrainleafwcf

Rowanflame looked over at Lilyroot when she heard the she-cat's voice. She was a bit surprised that Smokeyhorizon and Lilyroot were in Eveningstar's den, but she wasn't going to question it. The russet she-cat just figured Lilyroot was there for the same reason she was- to ask about patrols. Rowanflame nodded to the she-cat and waved her tail, staying quiet for once. Smokeyhorizon looked aggravated, and while she normally would pay no mind to that, something was telling her to be quiet. The dark tom looked upset, and she wasn't going to press on it and aggravate the feeling.
"Alright." Rowanflame said, taking a small step back. "Thanks anyway." With that the she-cat left. There was no reason for her to stick around; she didn't want anything the two cats, and with their leader gone, there was no reason to ask about patrols. The large she-cat gave a quiet sigh and bounded out of camp. Maybe if she couldn't patrol she could at least do some hunting.

{{ pardon if i'm not entirely caught up, I can't really read some of the posts... ;-; i have poor eyesight and the text is painfully small
- Dandelionsneeze;; Oh, dear, please don't wake him. Lilyroot's treading on Padfoot was among one of the more frightening things she'd ever seen, for she knew full well the monstrosity of toms woken before their time. Bristling lightly where her small frame curled within her own soft nest, Dandelionsneeze felt the stirrings of a tickle in her nose, she burying her muzzle into her small paws. A soft, subdued hachoo and she righted, unfolding her wiry ivory legs and stepping gingerly around her fellow clan mates. Once upon emerging into the camp did she let loose a much louder, night-long stifled sneeze, it having been under tight wraps as it seemed to be every night. And so, again, she announced her waking to the world. "There's our girl," A familiar tone, one that had her sort calico pelt prickling with unease yet again. It was Stagflight- awake early for it seemed to have become his forte once he'd taken interest in the frighteningly fierce ginger Kittypet to have joined the clan. Dandelionsneeze had to admit... Lilyroot was impressive. scorned by most as a former Kittypet, she flicked her tail and had the one tom whom ignored the ladies tripping at her feet. And she ignored him! If anything, Dandelionsneeze envied the green-eyed feline. She was beautiful and fierce despite her differences and everything the young calico could only dream to be. "How're you? Still mooning over Browncloud?" The words he spoke were deserving of a cringe, even if he at least had the audacity to lower his tone upon nearing her. How he of all cats figured out the liked the stoic tom was beyond her, yet she wished it was anybody else. Her ears warmed and she flushed, shrinking into her entirely short pelt. Not a word was spoken, not until he sat right by her and leaned in, an amused crinkle to his eyes. "I.... I don't know what you're talking about." Was her quiet argument, even if he rather clearly did. A short snort of laughter, tufted tail flicking against her foreleg and he turning his large eyes upon the russet hued feline she had been inspiring over just moments ago. "Don't worry, Dandy. You're secret is safe with me. I'm in the same hard spot... though she's entirely aware." He chuckled at that, and now her ears twitched back. "Of course it is... until you tell Padfoot." She muttered under her breath, giving an agitated sneeze into her chest fur. The small sound had Stagflight straightening beside her, raising is voice enough to be heard as he stepped away; "Twenty second try, maybe it'll be my lucky day." Not likely, he was just being optimistic that Lilyroot may finally agree to at least hunting with him. And so Dandelionsneeze was left were she had been found, tail wrapped around her haunches and ears laid back while she sniffed on another fast approaching sneeze. If only she had half the courage Stagflight had... Woe was her.

Oh I'm sorry about that Plague, I didn't have a clue at all. o.o" I guess I do have to admit the text can be rather small, and I'm still adjusting to the coding with what I've been using and I end up messing it up somehow at times haha. I'd be more than happy to change to have a more readable font. I wouldn't mind changing back to the format I usually use. Also, how do you get the test to the size you have? That seems to be a more preferable size to me. Goodness, now even I'm getting tired of this really small text I use. xD
Also, Dandelionsneeze is really cute~ ;v; I actually have used a character with the exact name, but with a different look and personality. cx I can respond to your post in a little, I have Shadeblossom available so I'll use her if that's alright. c; ]]
