Becoming uncomfortable where she was, Larkspur got up from her spot in the shadows of the nest and began moving around the back of the crowd toward the entrance. She wasn't planning on leaving that minute, but she was coming around to that. The meeting seemed almost over anyway, and she didn't want to be anywhere near that dead corpse. Shuddering, her gaze wavered on the important one for a few moments, considering her options (though she didn't have much of a choice but to leave anyway), and it wasn't until she looked down again that she noticed that she hadn't been watching where she was going, and had nearly run into two toms. One of them peach, one black. Larkspur's eyes widened and she quickly mewed an apology, "Excuse me..", tipping her head in respect of the older cats.

Sky's gentle heart went out to Chester has he started sobbing, thinking it was the sight of Jagged, but she briefly wondered if it was something more to make the other kit so emotional. She gave him a lick between the ears, hoping to soothe the younger kit. Her own siblings had died soon after birth, leaving her the only one in her litter. She realized that in spite of herself, she was starting to grow fond of the two other kits; Annie for her wild enthusiasm, Chester for his misguided bravery. She let out a soft sigh and kept on licking Chester's head fur, waiting for the kit's sobbing to subside.

Chester tried to snap out of it, wiping his face with his paws. "Sorry, Sky, it was just...Nothing." He didn't want to make himself look weak in front of wild cats- but it was far too soon, as Chester saw Giovanni's head pop out over the rest. "I guess you are a coward! Get used to it if you want to live out here, mouse. What a weakling!" Rabbit slowly nodded in response, even though he was rather annoyed with his master. This didn't help Chester, and he broke down into more tears.

Alix hissed, tears still streaming down her face. "Even after all the bad things you've done, I thought you would be above murder. But I guess not." She looked away, angry. "I can't believe I cried on your shoulder." She said in pure disgust. She still had just a trace of longing, the longing to rest her head against his pelt. But she dismissed it very quickly. Stop it, she thought. He's an awful tom. 'Then why do I feel this way?' { will he have any romantic thoughts ? }

Giovanni actually kinda enjoyed being with this she-cat, but he wasn't sure if he actually liked her or it was just his scheming- had he tricked himself? He dismissed it instantly. "But weren't you threatening to kill me earlier today? As far as I see it, none of us are above murder. It just takes the right moment to set off any cat- and they'll become a serial killer." He flashed her a wide, cunning grin for a second to show her he was actually having fun that night, however wicked it may be. He was interested in the concept of death- he had tried almost everything but murder in his life (usually he tried to avert killing) and it made him feel powerful that he could end another cat's life with his claws at any second. He was getting bored of the same schedule of tricking she-cats- perhaps he could throw in a death or two to make his daily life less formulaic.

Alix glared at Giovanni. "You're a monster. How could I be so naive?" She hissed, attempting to run away from the tom. She had met two toms that day. One was a monster, Giovanni, and one was pretty kind, Trace. But she thought to herself, how could she know that Trace was good? For all she knew, he could be trying to make her fall in love with him so he could break his heart! Even though she knew at least one of the toms weren't a good cat, oddly, she'd enjoyed her time with both. With Trace, it was genuine happiness she had felt around him, with Giovanni, it was an odd longing making her want to come back to him time and time again. { sorry for such a long and rambling post ^^' will giovanni try to make alix stay even though she's trying to run away ? }

"Why are you trying to run?" growled Giovanni. "I would never harm a she-cat." This was a lie, as he had tried to kill Red earlier that day. "I only murder those that need it- the weak, scrawny, and dumb- the ones that need murdering," he said as he glared at his servant. "The only exception is the useful one, and even then, if he ticks me off a bit too much..." Giovanni didn't feel completely heartless towards this cat- but h figured that it was nothing out of the ordinary.

Alix was still trying to get away. "But you still hurt cats. And you say you'd never hurt a she-cat, but that's a lie. You've broken so many she-cat's hearts, it's incredible."

"Well, well, there you go again. She-cats can hardly tell the difference between any two toms- and you don't even have proof that I could break so many hearts!" Giovanni remained rather stoic, but he smugly smiled as he knew that the she-cat was beginning to break under pressure. "Here, Rabbit, get over here and back up my truths." Rabbit nodded, scampering over to him. "Giovanni's right, lots of cats mistake him for others. And he's just an abundant source of love- instead of loving one cat and hating all the others, he loves everyone! What's not to like?"

Alix hissed, not knowing what to say so she just collapsed on the floor and started to cry again. At that moment, she was completely and utterly powerless against Giovanni. { sorry but, perhaps another romantic thought ? }

Giovanni laughed. He could tell she was powerless- in fact, he could easily read her expressions. It wasn't like she was very clear with her emotions- it was just that he began to take more time to notice them. He was beginning to notice a lot more about this cat, actually- but once again, he dismissed the idea. "Losing power, aren't you? You really thought you could win against me?" Rabbit, being Rabbit, nodded in agreement- bragging about his master as if they were the same cat.

"Just stop it." She whimpered through tears. Giovanni could do anything to the pretty she-cat in her moment of emotional vulnerability. She had collapsed on the ground, and didn't care anymore. { you probably hate me, but do you think he could realise that he could do anything in her moment of weakness ? i know you kind of touched on it, but could you explore it more ? }

(Sorry about the wait, it's about 7 am here as of right now) Giovanni thought for a second. She was completely powerless now, whereas he was still strong. He could do about anything now- and he began to consider that she was much better than most she-cats he had met. But he was busy with already trying to get her to figure out murder wasn't a bad thing. "So you give up already? That was quick. I don't understand, though- how is murder a bad thing for you? It's self defense, in my opinion. I'm not sure what else it could be." Rabbit nodded rather solemnly as if he really didn't want to agree, but agreed anyway.

"You're stealing a life. Life is a precious thing. And that cat could have had friends. Family. Perhaps even a lover." She whimpered. She was always against murder, which was strange. Alix was a tough she-cat, so it was strange how delicate and emotional the pretty she-cat became when a cat was murdered. She hoped Giovanni wouldn't hurt her or anything, since she was rather weak at the moment.

"I've taught myself not to care that much. I need to be able to kill to my survival. Rabbit doesn't know how to fight, let alone kill, and look at him!" Giovanni said, his tail straight up in the air. "If anything, killing is like a superpower- the ability to take someone's life with a single move. It fascinates me." Rabbit growled at Giovanni, only to quiet down when he outstretched his long claws. Giovanni pulled them back in, and Rabbit was silent from the threat (but still visibly annoyed).

"I would care if I killed you, but that's only because we just met each other. Your friends and family..." He looked around. "Where are they, anyways? I wouldn't care about them, because I haven't seen you with any friends or family so far." Rabbit nodded. "Signore Giovanni doesn't kill she-cats that he just met, that's a fact for certain. And he won't care about cats he doesn't see."

Alix was somewhat suspicious, but didn't say anything about it. At his words about her family, she hissed. "You and my family would get along well. You're all horrible cats who don't give a single care for any cat."
