Lady maneuvered out of the open window, squeezing outside and instantly getting drenched. A scowl formed on her face, but she was determined. Glancing over her shoulder, Lady's heart stuttered as she looked at the house she'd all but grown up in. The looming manor was just visible enough in the rain to look haunting. She would not be returning here and that hurt. Moving quickly, nearly slipping once or twice, she made her way to Rosina's house and called for her friend. "Rosina! Rosina, where are you?"

Rosina looked out the window to see Lady. She quickly tried to get her attention from the window. Why was she out in the rain in such horrible weather? She knew that she couldn't go out; her prissy Twolegs would never allow it. She had to figure out how she could talk to Lady tonight about why she had disappeared and how Susanna would help her (Rosina) escape.

Lady leapt down into the garden and scurried towards the window where her friend had appeared. Her ears were plastered against her skull as the rain threatened to bowl her over. Thunder crashed above and made her jump in fright, scrambling up to the outdoor windowsill ledge. "Can you hear me?" She shouted, putting a paw on the glass. She could feel the chill in her bones, radiating from the cold glass. She looked around, knowing that there was no way in or out but hoping for it none the less. "We'll get you out, I promise. I'll go find Susanna" Lady hoped to high heavens that Rosina heard her, and would signal if she understood.

Rosina understood Lady and nodded. She would try to figure out how to talk to her through the window. She worried about her friend- she was nervous and obviously hadn't had a good time while she was gone.

(I have found my way here. okay what shall I do with Red now ??) (In had Giovanni and Rabbit escape from her with the whole fake-death thing in the 1-week time skip, so you could have her reflect on that or something)

(sounds good. question though, how will they come on the journey if they faked their death and ran off?) (Giovanni vastly underestimated the fact that cats have good memory. He thinks that she-cats can't remember which tom is which and that all toms are the same to them, as his father told him.)

(Thanks for clarifying .)
Red woke up with a growl. A few days ago Giovanni had been killed, letting Rabbit run off. Now she and Giovanni never had a romantic relationship, but she had begun to crave his company, more than with Sirius. Rabbit had become quite tolerable as well to her, but thats just what she gets for getting close to another cat. The ginger shecat growled again in frustration, she didnt really grieve, that emotion was squashed out at a young age. "Thats two less cats to feed on the journey." Red meowed to herself, trying to appease her frustration. Maybe if Giovanni hadn't died they would have been something more? She couldn't imagine that could ever happen, but it was a possibility. She pushes herself off the ground, and decides she needed to go hunting. No longer having a servant to catch food for her, Red felt independent, and for the first time in her life, she wished she wasn't alone.

Rabbit, meanwhile, continued to guard the box which Giovanni was sleeping in. He didn't dare try to run off in case he ran into a threat or wasn't there when his master woke up. His fur was still soaked to the point where he was quivering from the coldness it brought. He missed Red, but he remembered that he was at no fault for his master's actions. Giovanni was to blame for all of it...or so he thought. For him, it was just another plan, just another day, just another she-cat left behind. He decided to think that he didn't miss Red. "I think, therefore I am," he whispered to himself. It was the old adage his father had told him, and if he thought it was true, then it was.

Red shot out of the Abandoned Twoleg Nest, as she had been sleeping there lately. She needed a break, and was going back to Cutthroat Corner, whilst hunting on the way. The ginger shecat ran quickly, dodging the Twolegs and monsters, not stopping once. As Red ran, the scent of prey filled her nose. She skidded to a stop and began to track the mouse. Most of the prey these days was poisoned, but Red didnt care at this point. She hadn't ever experienced this many emotions, and it was an odd feeling. She didnt like it. The scent of the mouse seemed to veer near an alley, and Red turned. She crouched low, creeping slowly towards the mouse.
(should she find Giovanni and Rabbit?)

(I don't know, whatever you prefer? The basic idea of her being pretty miffed with them remains the same) Rabbit envied Giovanni for all he had. He had a decent status, was independent, roguishly handsome, fearless, had she-cats fawning him wherever he went, was full of confidence... Rabbit wished he could be a cat like that. But instead, he was a cowardly little servant that only existed to be a punching bag.

Yeah she will be quite ticked. I'll have her scent them, and you can decide whether they actually see each other or not. Is that okay?)
Red pounced on the mouse, taking its life with one swift bite. The shecat purred at the thought of fresh prey, and gently took the mouse in her jaws. Red planned to take it to another alley that didnt reek of Twoleg garbage. Breaking into a jog, she found the perfect alley up ahead. She stopped for a moment, thinking she smelled a familiar scent. Red dropped the mouse and scented the air again. It smelled of Giovanni and Rabbit, but they were gone. The shecat stayed where she was, eyes wide, mind overflowing with possibilities.

Rabbit, meanwhile, smelled the scent of Red. Knowing she would recognize him, he found a cardboard box, climbed on top of Giovanni's box, and placed it over himself to hide. Giovanni's eyes fluttered open from the noise and he looked up to see Rabbit's shadow. "Sweet mother of squirrels, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?!" "Quiet down, Signore Giovanni, I think Red might be around here!" "Well, it's not like she would remember us. She-cat brains are full of fluff!"

Red heard the voices down the alley and suppressed a growl. If those two cats were still alive, they would wish they weren't once she found them. Red cautiously walked down the alley, completely forgetting about her mouse she caught. Stopping every few moments to scent the air, she was certain they were alibe and they were here. She glanced along the wall to the parts hidden by shadows. That would be an obvious place for hide, she didnt think they would be there.

Giovanni and Rabbit were now whisper-shouting and arguing to each other. "SHE HATES US NOW, SIGNORE, ALL BECAUSE OF YOU!" "I don't understand! DO YOU THINK I ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT HER!?!" "Well, I do- I MEAN I DON'T BUT I DON'T NEED MORE CATS TRYING TO KILL ME!" "YOU'RE A TOTAL IDIOT, RABBIT! I JUST WANT TO LOVE!" "LOVE!?! LOVE!?! YOU'RE FAILING HORRENDOUSLY AT THAT!"

Red bit back a laugh at their bickering. "Come out. Now." She snarles. This was no time to show weakness, and in her rage she knew that some cat would end up getting hurt, and my definitely wasnt going to be her.

Giovanni, realizing she did indeed remember him, threw Rabbit in front of her. "Here, Rabbit, tell her everything." Rabbit looked at Red as Giovanni scampered away. "Well, Madam, in a city like this where a circle isn't a square... Here, I've compiled a list of every she-cat he's done this to. Ten in Lake Lane, Fifteen in Seashore Square, Twenty-two around the park, thirty-three in Cutthroat Corner...and the Inner City, about a hundred and three." Rabbit said the words as if he were bragging about himself. "He goes after the plump ones in the winter and the skinny ones in the summer. He targets rogues, loners, house cats, all kinds of she-cats. He loves shorthairs in spring and longhairs in fall. When he's feeling exotic, he goes after Savannahs, when he's feeling reserved, he goes after Charteuxes. In the morning hours he prefers Persians, in the evening he adores Angoras. To put it short- if she's a she-cat, you know what he does. And I don't stop it because I have nobody to fight for anyway." And Rabbit scampered off to find his master.

Red listened patiently as he named off the list. Several thoughts were running through her head, but the main thing that she kept thinking was "Thats sick." Not realizing she had said it out loud. She had been a part of his little game the entire time, and never even noticed. Red saw Giovanni run off in the corner of her eye, but didnt make any move to run after him. She could catch up with him, or at least track Rabbit to where ever they were staying. Giovanni needed to be taught a lesson, and Red planned on it being one he wouldn't forget. For a moment Red's heart fell. Rabbit had said he had no one to fight for, but when they first met she said they should fight for each other. He hadn't remembered, then why should she hold that moment so dearly. As Rabbit ran off, she quickly followed suit and ran behind him, trying to find out where Giovanni was.

Rabbit followed Giovanni, unaware that Red was following him. While he wished he could be just like Giovanni, he also wished he could have someone that would make his life seem a bit more worthwhile. Someone he could fight for. He would want Ref to be this cat, but he was fairly sure she hated him. Eventually, he caught up with Giovanni, who told Rabbit of his plans. "Rabbit, get over here! I have a plan. That Lady cat seems a bit...vulnerable. All we have to do here is convince her I've redeemed myself and she will be mine! Simple as that." "I don't think that's a good idea because I'm still your servant," "I'll just pretend you're my best friend then and treat you better- when she's looking, anyway." Rabbit began to think about the idea, and reluctantly nodded in agreement.
