Guys! It's tomorrow! although I guess you can also see it today XDIs anyone seeing it tonight or tomorrow? Sadly, I probably won't be seeing it until next week or so when it's been in the theatre for a bit so it's not crowded. Jay; what's the drama? I haven't heard anything o: Regardless, I'm really excited I'm decently certain its just a bunch of butt hurt fans, but I'll relay it as best as I can. I might not have all of the facts right, though. Maybe I'll link an article in a spoiler. It started when Brie Larson commented on diversity and women in the film industry while interviewing with a female (I believe) POC interviewer, and a BUNCH of people construed this as "Brie Larson hates white men and doesn't want them to see the movie." I don't necessarily think that's true, but now there has just been added crap upon crap that she has "divided the MCU fanbase like Rey did in Star Wars" and is therefore "destroying the Marvel Cinematic Universe's ten years of work". Now, I personally am not a huge fan of Rey, but I think its extremely unfair to call Carol Danvers a Mary Sue when people haven't even seen her movie. I can agree that I don't want her to single handedly defeat Thanos, I just want to see her team up with the Avengers. But there are also some salty that Black Widow hasn't gotten a movie yet, and I think that's also a driving force, because those who claim to not like Brie Larson's character because of her politics are making no sense when considering ScarJo's politics. Anyhow, I digress. I'm really frustrated by the whole situation, because I wish people would realize that no, Brie Larson is not tearing the fandom apart; the people arguing that anybody who goes and sees her movie is a feminazi are contributing to that. I mean *raises hand* If I could add in my two cents about this? To disprove the complaints of some fans? 1) I saw in an interview that the directors/Marvel worked extra hard to make sure Carol wasn't a Mary Sue, knowing that a character so powerful could easily become one. They made sure to give her actual character flaws that could stand in the way of her saving the day other than, cough, kryptonite or something. They don't want her to be like Superman where as soon as she shows up the bad guys are squished. So don't claim she's a Mary Sue because of her powers until you at least actually see the movie, fans. Does that make Thanos a Gary Stu, then? 2) I don't even know what Brie Larson said, but it most likely wasn't a white men hating rant, otherwise she'd probably be fired. Those things tend to get people fired now, it seems. But, anyway, even if she did, how hard is it to go see a Marvel movie without thinking about your grudges against an actress in it? She's acting, giving us a completely different person on the screen than herself, in order to tell a good story. And we should judge the movie on the story alone, not on what's not even the movie. 3) Also, I've heard there have been bad reviews from critics, but often the critics don't agree with fans anyway, and they might've heard the drama and let it affect the way they judged the movie. Or just didn't like it. Idk. Still, I haven't read any of them because I didn't want to spoil my experience with negativity. If we give it a chance, it's probably really good, like most other Marvel movies. Give those artists and storytellers recognition for all the hard work they put into these masterpieces. <3

Jay; Yeah, I never heard any of that. But, honestly, people will put a spin on anything. I'm really excited for the movie, though, and I can't wait to see it (:
Speaking of Black Widow, though, they are making a Black Widow movie. And I think I read that the script was finished, but now they are rewriting some of it because it would have been rated R XD

And I think I read that the script was finished, but now they are rewriting some of it because it would have been rated R XD Yeah. OH, and one more thing. I also heard that Marvel waited so long to make a female led superhero movie because they thought people didn't want one, until Wonder Woman proved them wrong. But now that they're finally doing it, if all the fans go and give the movie terrible reviews and shower it with hate, they'll just prove Marvel's fears right, and we'll never get another female led movie from them again. So NO. Well, it's Black Widow, I'm not surprised. XD She's hardcore 👏 CAPTAIN MARVEL IS HERE!!! *throws red, blue, and gold confetti* Waiting for Marvel movies is so hard XD WOOOHOOO! although now still gotta wait to see it... but it's out! That's all that matters XD and we're one step closer to saving everyone from Thanos! And now we have to worry about avoiding spoilers until we see it. x~x Stay strong guys, remember that Doctor Strange saw the end of Infinity War 14 million times and he never said a spoiler

That ending statement about spoilers is hilarious, Maple.
It's also why we're in this mess because we wanna know how it works out already.
I'll probably have to wait an off-set of a month before I get to see it. :/ In the meantime I guess it's off to watch something else.

I feel terrible about all of the crap part of the fandom is putting her through. I just watched an interview with her playing with puppies and honestly? She's a goshdarn gem.

Mood ;-; I KNOW, RIGHT? I wish it would come sooner, and at the same time I never want it to come because of the terrible things that might happen As soon as the scene started and the pager came on the screen I was like This is it and when Cap showed up everyone in the theater gasped.

I also think that the climax scene where Carol escapes the control of the Supreme Intelligence and unlocks her full potential with her glowiness expanding as she fights back and the epic film score playing in the background was one of the most inspiring moments in the MCU so far. 👏 Others on that list would have to be the 360° pans around the Avengers when they assemble for the first time and when they're fighting the Ultron army. And Thor also unlocking his full potential and hitting Hela with the biggest lightning blast in the history of lightning with Immigrant Song starting to play. And many others. I just love Marvel so much omsc.

Saw Captain Marvel last night I mean it was okay Carol/Vers was too serious for my taste but I did like Fury and Goose and the plot twist with the Skrill. Honestly the moment I saw that guy calling Ronan I thought "yep they're the bad guys the Skrill are good children".
