Oh, it's not WW2 that's the problem. The comics from the 70s set in WW2 are fine. It's the 1940s crappy stories and art.

Oh, haha, makes sense. I actually prefer the newer comics as well. Especially by Ed Brubaker. I have a book of the old comics and it's a lotttt different xD But I still like to read them (: The old references and slang are rather interesting xD Like, in one of the comics I was reading one of the random street-goers was like "I wish I had my Kodak" or something. And Kodak was so known & used back then, but not anymore so I thought it was interesting. Kind of makes me feel like I'm connecting with history, though, so I like it in a weird sort of way (:

The new stuff is SOOOOOOO much better.
I'm saving Secret Warriors Vol 1 for the late 40s, since they were still publishing a lot then but didn't have any stuff from later backdated to WW2

Try reading some Marvel Mystery comics if you want to know what it's like.
