Blizzards and Mountains -- Joining page

This is a mood. I know this man can not see anything in the crowd and cats assume he's the youngest. I also kinda love the fact that they are all from single kit litters. 

ladylantsov Should we decide how Gingerheart and Tempesthowl became mates? What were you thinking for his character?

Also, love how all of the runners are dads. I can just imagine them bonding over stories of their kits and missing them when they are away on deliveries. Cuteness contests have definitely happened between the dads.

I couldn't stop thinking about Tinykit's mother. I wrote up a bit of a backstory, what do you think? (No worries if it wouldn't work for Tinykit lol, I just thought thinking about it was fun). I kind of bashed it out in a feverish rush, sorry if there are any obvious mistakes or things that don't make sense. 
I don't know when if ever this character would appear in the actual RP... maybe at some point in the future if we need story? But I imagine it would be very bad for Tinykit's personal development/mental health, poor thing.

His mother was ‘Miracle’, a kittypet, currently living with her twolegs and remaining litter, in a village at the bottom of the mountain. She was given the name because of her ‘miraculous’ markings (to her owners, at least) giving her two very prominent black stains beneath her eyes, as if crying mascara. (ref image below) 





Because of her unique colouring she was bred as early as possible, as many times as possible. By her 4th litter Miracle was completely checked out and disinterested in her kits. She especially resented Tiny, the runt of the litter, for constantly getting under her paws and for being ‘demanding’. This is especially because he was often sick as a very young kitten, being born so small. There was one instance where he got very ill and had to be looked after by the twolegs 24/7. Miracle barely got any attention at all. To think he didn’t even have an interesting colour, to boot! It was all too much for Miracle to bear. Eventually, she snuck out when the twolegs accidentally left the door open one night and left the kit with the strange wild cats up the mountain, who she heard would take in anyone.

When the twolegs found this out they were devastated - oh no! An open door, and a missing kitten! They looked everywhere, but to no avail. It all worked out for Miracle, though, as she was particularly showered with attention while she was ‘grieving’ her lost son.

No problem. It’s nice that people are interested in my character and her background. Tinykit’s a girl though.

And her bio mom resenting the attention her kits got makes sense. I just think she was more “present” for the litter when they were younger. Not in a good way though. Then she either abandons them or they’re taken from her because she’s abusing them. Maybe she even gets banished from whatever group she was staying in too. I don’t know if she’ll factor in the rp itself or even appear. Maybe as a villain if one is needed?

At this point, I just write her as Tinykit sees her. A mom who said mean things to her and scared her. She doesn’t understand why and even thinks she deserved some of that abuse. She learned siding with mom and staying on her good side helped, so now she doesn’t speak up much or express opinions that could upset someone. Her dads not doing that stuff to her is also confusing to her, but she likes them a lot more.

Okay I've got the front page of this page and the rp are updated! Now time for the check. I really just need to know which families are open to more kits or siblings. I think I all the family trees right but if you see something, say something.

Note: For Tinykit, I put her bio mom on the joining page not the main page bc it really complicates the symbols and the bio mom isn't in her life (for now?).

zero sorry for not replying earlier but yes I'm fine with Rainsight being friends with Bumblespots and siblings with Mountaincreek! (I might have worded it a little confusingly but Coconut was Rainsight's name when he was a kittypet, not his parent's name.)

Oops, my bad about Tinykit's gender lol. And fair enough about being more "present" for the litter when they were younger. Did you mean like more emotionally invested in looking after the kits, like actually making an effort, but obviously doing a horrible job at it? Would definitely be interesting to see her come back as a villain later, if story calls for it anyway. 

Maybe one of the groups finds a cavern of hibernating bats as a food source? I was thinking the young group since they’re exploring caves near by or directly connected to the ones everyone is sheltering in, but any group out hunting for food could find this.

The only other thing I can think of is exploring Tinykit’s mom. It’s really not necessary (Tinykit’s planned story arc doesn’t need her around) but she’s available as a potential villain.

Maybe someone else has other ideas.

lol it’s natural since she is your character to want to explore her. We can definitely try to add her in. Though, I really don’t want loners or rogues.

Maybe she has been stuck under the tunnels and all of the ghosts of apprentices have been leading her in circles bc they don’t like her attitude.

The bats definitely are a good idea. I was thinking a den of snakes too. Maybe the mining tunnels go down into the earth so the apprentices start at the bottom and go up and the other cats start at the top and go down? Meet at the new starclan meeting place.

I’d love to figure out the side plots! I wanna throw my characters into any of them
