Please triangulate my location. I am lost somewhere between despair and Wawa.

I'm in a further off place in Central Europe (not Eastern!) where a vampire guy is said to have sucked the blood out of his victims. Disclaimer: The history books say there's no way it happened and I believe that. We did have a ruler named Vlad the Impaler in the 15th Century but he only impaled thieves and traitors. Apparently the Irishman wasn't satisfied with it and turned a national hero into Dracula.

They are building a Wawa within walking distance of my house
Buc-ee's is about 45 mins away, still in KY
Our main little gas station chain store otherwise is called Thornton's
My husband is most eager for Sheetz (like a Wawa with the grill inside, current closest is in WV)
The newest fast food chain to come to the area is Jack in the Box (still waiting on Whataburger, it's as far north as Nashville now)
The fast food chain that's regional - White Castle

why does america have so many fast food places how do you guys keep track of them all
also i swear KFC wasn't horrible when I was a kid. it's the past decade or so it became inedible. I tried to eat a chicken wrap or something there last year when there was nowhere else to go and it was not very good, overpriced, AND I was still hungry smh. there's a local fried chicken place here that's way better that I go to now.

why does america have so many fast food places how do you guys keep track of them all. we dont tbh with the rate things are going im thinking we’re gonna see a big reduction in the number of fast food locations. with inflation the value of fast + cheap that carried the industry is no longer applicable, so i think we’re gonna see a decrease as demand drops off due to the economy

I just went on a road trip and drove by a Sheetz for the first time. We didn’t go in, but I’d never heard of it before.

I heard that the States had issues with grocery prices as well so I figured they were also doing it down there but maybe not?

Maybe it depends on the state, but I can think of one grocery store in particular that is rising costs VERY much ^^’

McDonalds is just so tasteless for how expensive it is now. I almost never eat at fast food places anymore. It’s just easier to go to a grocery store and get something fast and tastes infinitely better.

I only ever get drinks there but at that point I could literally go to a gas station and get a better deal.

Bastards.

I heard that the States had issues with grocery prices as well so I figured they were also doing it down there but maybe not? we have issues with grocery prices (they’ve probably risen about 30% across the board since covid) but the price rise stems moreso from rising agricultural and fuel costs here, not the grocery stores themselves. at least not where i live. the 30% price hike is true for pretty much all food establishments here (restaurants, farmer’s markets, fast food, etc). i wouldn’t be surprised if there was some price gouging going on in certain regions though, especially in food deserts.

Lol I was just in Boston. Something in the air there gives me migraines. I went outside and 2 minutes later my head would hurt, even with a ton of water drinking and eating and staying cool
