I have an idea I want to share. I think they could maybe have a unique hunting style for certain types of prey where they like, bury themselves in the sand and wait for prey to come to them before leaping out.

Yeah that's a good idea! Kinda reminds me of the statement from the books- "do you think the prey will just hop in your mouth" kinda thing

This would also require them to have sand colored pelts which I feel like they would end up having anyway.

Like, orange, yellow, ginger, white (maybe, probably underbellies though), light brown brown (maybe), tan for pelt colors.

This is just me putting a bunch of ideas in one place. Starclan Contact Point: -Moonarch: A sandstone arch that is the clans way of communicating with Starclan. You are only able to contact Starclan at night when the moon shines through the arch. You sleep must sleep under the arch to receive dreams from Starclan. Leaders also receive their lives by sleeping under the arch. (Name could be changed so it doesn't look so much like Monarch) -Moonspring: The Moonspring is the pool of water in the oasis that can be used to contact Starclan. It functions like the Moonpool. That's basically it. -Moonpillar: This was Evildino's idea. A salt pillar that can be used to receive dreams from Starclan by touch your nose to it's base. That's basically it. Camp: -This was Evildino's idea. The camp is in a cleft in a cliff and there are holes in the walls where cats sleep. (I don't know if it's each one holds one cat or if the holes lead to dens) -The Overhang: Like a meeting place, for clan meetings, it's a rock overhang that the leader sits on to address the clan. Other Stuff I Don't Want To Categorize™: -They drink from an oasis and get medicine water stuff from cacti. -They have a special hunting style where they bury themselves and hide in the sand to leap out at prey when it comes to them. -They have sand or like dusty colored pelts like, orange, yellow, ginger, white (maybe), light brown, brown (maybe), and tan.

Looking good so far! I can draw a map of ideas, but I can't post them until I get a non-school device.

I am still on team, there is one known oasis in the desert and if the Moonspring is the Starclan place than that's the only oasis they know of.

maybe it could be a medicine cat duty to harvest water from the cacti, since they would be most adept at handling the pins and such ! I can imagine them gingerly picking the pins out, cutting it open with their claws and squeezing the water out into petals that are fashioned like little cups. Cacti bloom beautiful flowers that could be used as their "cups"! Also I would like to add in this idea- it would work really well! (shout out to cloverwood )

So geography wise would they live in a Arizona/Utah kind of desert? Or a Kalahari/African kind of desert I'm imagining the first one more ...

I have a question. There is that list of animals I made earlier and I want to know how you want to decide what prey there is an how rare it is. My list doesn't have to be what we use but it might be helpful.

Antelope Jackrabbits Yes Desert Iguanas Yes Fennec Foxes No Gila Monster Yes? Jerboas No but I need them to be there Kit Fox Yes? Lappet-Faced Vulture No? I want at least some vulture though Meerkats No but I also need them to be there Mojave Desert Tortoise Yes Mulgara No Red-Spotted Toad Yes Roadrunner Yes? I also need these Sandgrouse No? But we should probably keep them because some birds is good Sidewinder Yes Southern Marsupial Mole No Thorny Devil No Water-Holding Frog No
This is the list I previously posted but without my random comments and with if they are in Arizona/Utah type deserts. So excluding the no's it's these from my list (including the no's I said must stay with a note on them):
Antelope Jackrabbits Desert Iguanas Gila Monsters (maybe) Jerboas (technically no) Kit Foxes (maybe) Lappet-Faced Vultures (technically no) Meerkats (technically no) Mojave Desert Tortoise Red-Spotted Toad Roadrunner (maybe but they are staying) Sandgrouse (technically no) Sidewinder
That's 17 turned into 12, so 5 were taken out. Well, that's not much better. More might have to be removed.

Ok this helps a lot! I'd say any small mammals so mole things, rabbits, mousey things, (meercats?)... Birds too. Roadrunner would be cool, but probably too fast unless cats can do an ambush But I've been in Utah and New Mexico/Arizona and there are like little owls and sparrows that can be huntable And since the oaises are mostly in Africa, i'd say we replace them with springs. Since cats don't really understand the concept of animal classification or official names for them we could just say like, toad for instance and mean like the whole family of them.

Cool! So the Moonspring is still valid if that's what's chosen? Yeah, I was gonna make them shorter names. I'll work on that now. Should I try and find those sparrows and owls or just say sparrows and like small owls?

I don't really care if its jackrabbits or rabbits, but we can be specific if that's easier

Also, I tried looking up how rare the prey is, it said that jackrabbits are common, and I couldn't get an answer for jerboas so I just gave up.
