Gentlesparrow gave me the day off, since I've been dealing with a lot." Charcoalpaw explained. She looked around camp, checking for Gentlesparrow, but she wasn't there. " Huh... that's strange. She must be on a patrol. " she thought.

She beamed at the catch, excited at the thought of seeing one of her clanmates enjoy it. Emberpaw unsheathed her claws and started to bury a hole to protect and keep her catch fresh while she continued hunting. However she stopped not long after she began, rethinking her decision about staying out longer. Brookwhisper is probably looking for me. I don’t want any cat to know I was out here without permission. Guess that means I should probably go back. She sighed and grabbed her prey, started to trot back to camp.

I would much rather do battle training or something else, we’ve done so much hunting lately. It’s confusing my brain because—“ Flarepaw stopped. He was rambling, he needed to stop talking. He was making things all about him, Charcoalpaw wasn’t even able to get a chance to talk, if she wanted to anyways. Flarepaw’s tail fluffed up in embarrassment. “Uh, yeah, I just don’t like hunting,” he mumbled.

He got up and padded over to the fresh-kill pile to take a piece. The apprentice’s were supposed to serve it to him, but Oakpath was hungry and was fully capable of getting his own prey from the pile. He recognized the went of a fresh squirrel and grabbed it, that being his favorite. He noticed the pile felt low, not normally filled to the top like usual. So many cats aren’t able to hunt because they are ill, no wonder why there isn’t much prey, He thought. |
