If you do, you can give him whatever appearance and personality you want. He only needs to be old enough to be her father and "young" enough to be Heron's kit. Ripplefur is 37 moons and Heronflight is 95 moons old

lazzylake Do the younger cats know Orchidblossom is trans? I so, maybe Wavepaw would sometimes hang out near the elders den, just silently sitting with Orchid but not having the courage yet to ask him about it. Oh, and since Marigoldskip is Wavepaw's mentor do you think she has ever tried to ask him if something is bothering him? Wave used to be a lot more outgoing as a kit and during his first moon as an apprentice before he became as quiet and uneasy as he is now, only confident when performing and sometimes using his stage persona when talking with others. So I think most cats would notice that he's way different than he used to be. Oh, and while Wavepaw probably trusts his mentor quite a bit he hasn't told her anything about his insecurities yet so she, like everyone else in clan, would still refer to him as "she" Ooh that's a good question! Honestly, I'm not too sure. I'm sure at least Cloverpounce knows but since Orchidbloom doesn't speak much (or at all) it's probably a lesser known thing among the clan. But Orchidbloom would love Wavepaw's company for sure. It'd be nice for him to have a nice connection to some of the more reserved apprentices. Marigoldskip having Wave as an apprentice is super interesting considering she probably just finished mentoring Sweetripple- but hmm... I wonder if she would be oblivious about the fact that he's insecure since he does so well performing. Maybe she doesn't realize he has an alter ego of sorts? If that's what we're going for? I'd be interested in them having a deeper conversation soon |

I'm not even sure what to really call it xD Wave uses his stage persona because he believes the clan wouldn't like him for who he really is. There are times where he is talkative when he is just being himself but he tends to clam up quickly and apologize for talking too much. When he's performing and acting the clan at least expects him to be like this so he thinks it's only acceptable for him to be chatty if he's putting on an act. He believes if he's this talkative when he isn't acting then the clan will still see him as the bubbly and funny "she-cat" he used to be as a kit. But yea, him and Marigoldskip having a deeper conversation in the near future would be interesting. He won't come out to her right away but he might drop some hints implying he's not happy about being seen as female

also!!! id like to maybe get some previous mentor/apprentice relationships established? i think the only one i have is that Marigoldskip mentored Sweetripple Sootsight (145, elder) was a scout and im sure he mentored plenty of cats. i think he wouldve retired at 95 moons and only bc his eyesight was getting worse. so any older cats could've been his apprentice Sandyhawk (57, fighter) has probably had at least a couple of apprentices, and maybe was mentored by Heronflight? Pineclaw Riverlily (40, fighter) maybe mentored Silverflower? Ember34 Furzestomp (38, hunter) could've mentored Poppyshine? and maybe helped him come up with pair hunting when he was an apprentice? Ember34 Nimbuswhirl (38, scout) i think has mentored at least one apprentice, probably one of the younger scouts. he also couldve been Orchidbloom's apprentice? lazzylake Orangesky (32, fighter) could've been mentored by Waspsting? i think their mentor and apprentice dynamic was kinda silly. i think she def got under his skin at times but was a very devoted student at the same time -` gumi ´- .✫ 🐾 Hyacinthsong (27, hunter) i think would have thrived under Windingdeer and would still be close to her to this day, maybe seeing her as some kind of parental figure after losing her own parents. sootand then there's Bluefin (18, entertainer) but i dont think there's an entertainer old enough that would've been his mentor so maybe one of the deceased cats could've been his? |

Heron seems like a strict lady and i think that really helped shape Sandy’s core values and he probably strived to be they best apprentice she’s ever had Yea, Heron was definitely a strict mentor who always made sure to bring the best out of her apprentices. Now, as an elder, she loves to watch her clanmates in general but I like to think she keeps an extra close eye on her former apprentices, still caring a lot about them and watching them with both pride and fondness |
