While I’m working on this starter, I also wanted to offer up some connections for y’all

Anyone can make their cats related to the previous leader and deputy (Laurelstar and Fignose), and additionally, I have an idea that the reason one of them died was because they saved another cat from the storm (which I think, personally, was a Mediterranean tropical-cyclone, which caused a flash flood, and that’s what killed Laurel and Fig)
So if anyone wants one of their cats to have been saved by Laurel or Fig, feel free to claim that spot

Go for it! I wonder if this might also give Rainpaw some complicated feelings about Okeaneos, since I feel like a lot of cats might be blaming the sea/storm god for this

I think I'd like Cloverpounce to be related to Laurelstar somehow (similar appearances yknow). Which is why currently she's doubling down on her efforts to be happy and optimistic and help others be happy, because she's trying to ignore grief from the loss and 'fake it till you make it' her way to not feeling that pain. (Clover dislikes feeling negative emotions like. At All.)

Love Rainpaw being Okeaneos’ biggest defender

I think maybe Laurelstar was the one to save Rainpaw from drowning, and maybe every time he sees Cloverpounce, he feels guilty for surviving when her mother did not

But to make it a little easier, I’ll also list some more specifics

Puddleheart is up for having parents or siblings, but I do imagine any siblings are from an older litter since I think he was the only kit from his litter. He’s also open to crushes/a future mate, he’s gay/demi there and I feel like any relationship with him is gonna involve some drama considering right now he’s like, the sole cat running things, but that just makes it more fun. He is also open to friends but not a lot since he was very isolated during his apprentice years and a bit socially awkward now.

Thundersnap is open to a mother, but not a father bc his father was never in the picture, which led to him believing that his dad is a god or at least a demigod (he was not, he was just some rogue who ditched), but I do think that could be a fun dynamic to play with. He’s also open to half siblings on his mother’s side, and he definitely had at least one apprentice before since he’s gonna compete in the games. He’s also open to crushes/future mate, but not a current mate yet, he’s gay. He’s also open to friends or followers.

Sablefrost is open to literally anything except for kits. I feel like she probably does have a mate by now (she’s a lesbian) but she’s also asocial so maybe she hasnt formed that bond yet. She’s open to siblings, parents, any family really, a past apprentice, friends, crushes, etc. She’s super flexible.

Mothflutter and Pearlfeather are open to siblings (including at least 1-2 more littermates), parents, friends, and crushes/future mates (Moth is bi, and Pearl is bi/ace), it’s also important to note that Pomegranatefur, the old medicine cat, was like…their great grand aunt or something, and she tried to take care of her family, so they were close to her and are both somewhat close/protective over Puddle.

Dolphinpaw is literally open to everything. He’s got nothing yet. So he’s open to family, friends, crushes (he’s pan), and he also still needs a mentor (he’s an entertainer) so there’s that.

Fawnpaw is littermates with Ivypaw, but I’m pretty sure they’re open to more siblings, parents, etc, and I know Fawnpaw is open to friends! She’s determined to befriend at least Flickerpaw. She is however, aroace and will not be open to romance.

Finally there’s Honeydusk, personally I think she definitely has or had a mate since she’s an elder and probably had kits too, so she’s open to a mate, kits, siblings (parents are for sure dead tho), grandkids, friends, and previous apprentices (she was a fighter), so yeah, she’s got options.
