Marshfur Finally she didn’t feel like she was on fire she turns to leave and begins caughing and gets made to stay in the medicine den, then she sees water raising and being the excellent swimmer she was she grabbed the closest cat to her which was little Snowkit and rushed to safety, she sees one of her brothers but she was in the moment of panic and didn’t look more carefully to see which one he was. Marshfur gives Snowkit to dustpelt to bring her to safety quicker as she looks around to see lots of the cats in the clan coming out of the flooded camp. Marshfur turns to pineconenibble “well we should wave bye to our camp. Get it?” Marshfur realises three cats that important to her aren’t there. “Thorn?, Pheasant!? BLAZE!? where are they!” She meowed and looked around before a medicine cat brought her to the new medicine den as she has whitecough. She could see Dogstripe help brining some herbs to the medicine cats. As Marshfur was resting waiting for a chance to escape the medicine den, a small white head pops up “Marshfur can you teach me how to hunt?” Snowkit asks, “aren’t you too young?” Marshfur asks back and Snowkit sits infront of the she cat. PHEASANTDRIFT [ Not Deserved ] " I've got to stay... true... JUST... as long as she (he)... NEEDS... MEEEEEEEEEEE! " (As Long As He Needs Me from Oliver!)
...
This is all my fault.
Always was.
***
Pheasantdrift ran as fast as she could when a flood wave came after her, but alas, it struck her and she came tumbling after the waves hit her, her paws flailing around as she suddenly hit a tree, she climbed up the tree and watched the flood waves go, until she suddenly saw Blazetumble in the wreckage. She shrieked and almost fell, but felt paws grab her.
Fawnstar.
The one who helped her with her doubts earlier on, Pheasantdrift's role model time and time again, leader of PlumClan. "... Fawnstar." she simply stated. "I... I don't deserve this!" she exclaimed. "I cut my claw at the vine and started the fire! I caused the death of many cats from that! Why do I deserve remorse?"
Pheasantdrift was absolutely shocked when Fawnstar explained her reasoning for trying to save her. Pheasantdrift buried her head into the grasping paws of Fawnstar. "I guess... maybe I do deserve to live."
But then, a branch struck her.
Right out of Fawnstar's paws.
And into the water.
It all cut to black, and the noise was cut off instantly
***
Pheasantdrift's eyes adjusted, and her eyes opened...
...
This isn't the Dark Forest...
Wait... what? She's not supposed to be here! SHE caused deaths! What did she deser-
"Pheasantdrift?"
Almost instantly, Pheasantdrift's head shot up. She instantly recognized the smoky gray she-cat, with her orange eyes. Pheasantdrift's eyes began to water. "...P-...Pumpkinswipe...?" she muttered. Pumpkinswipe instantly ran in Pheasant's direction, before ramming into her.
"Welcome To StarClan!" Pumpkinswipe told her. Pheasantdrift stood up and shook her fur. "But... I started the fire though... I cut at the vi-" Pheasantdrift was interrupted when Pumpkinswipe pressed against her nose. Pheasantdrift's fur bristled in shock, and excitement too.
"I love you."

"...Well, one time Pheasantdrift and I were on patrol. I decided to tackle her for no reason whatsoever, and it was hilarious. She was a good cat." Bristlefur stated. Camp would be emptier without their clanmates, and that kit... They should have lived a fulfilling life, catch their first prey, train hard, and perhaps become deputy or even leader... And Tansyhusk. Their former apprentice. They couldn't have been prouder of that fine young warrior. Pheasantdrift was gone now, but they'd better keep living. For the code, for the clan, for the dead.

Lilacshade Flood - Amberdapple swept away It had been a chilly leaf-fall day when the storms started. Darkened clouds heavy with rain pulled over the sun, almost blocking the light out. And the rains. The deluge was so bad that the middle of camp had been churned into a mud pit that cats tiptoed around to avoid, and barely any cat was able to go out to patrol without returning cold and wet. Lilacshade grumbled, returning to her nest and curling up in the damp moss, hoping her sleep would not be as terrible as the night before.
She awoke with a start, water pooling around her ankles as the rain thundered on outside the camp, a slow rushing noise coursing through her ears. Splashing out of the warriors den in a rush, the senior warrior found herself face to face with a cascade of water rushing into the camp, swirling into the middle. She was almost swept off her paws before she planted them both firmly into the mud. Soon, the camp will be filled with water! Lilacshade forced herself to take another sticky step through the mud, letting out a loud yowl to alert any other cats who hadn’t woken yet. “Flood! The cabin isn’t safe!”
Just as she yowled, another rush of water, greater than the ones before broke through the wall of the camp, careening into the medicine den. “Amberdapple!” She yowled, diving into the stream. Her claws scrabbled at the twigs floating in the newly created rapids, grabbling up the pile of debris just in time to see Amberdapple being swept away, her head bobbing in and out of the waters as she was flushed down the floodplain. Lilacshade’s legs shook, about to buckle as she let out a heartbroken yowl. This can’t be happening! No, I won’t allow it! “H-Hold on, Amberdapple! I’m coming, please just keep your head up!” She primed her quivering legs for a jump into the debris choked floodwater, unable to bear the sound of Amberdapple’s cries. I must save her… but if I drown, at least it will be with her. A grim thought echoed through her mind. Like Hatchhusk and Leopardcry. We can’t be separated!
But before she could make the leap, she felt a pair of fangs fasten into her scruff, roughly pulling her back onto the safety of stable ground. Lilacshade hissed, trying to tear away, but the grip was too strong. She turned around, recognizing Wildclove. He was telling her something, but all she could hear was the rushing of the water and the panicked yowls of the swept away cats. “Let me go!” Lilacshade screeched, batting her free paw at his face. “I can’t leave her, you don’t understand!”
I’m alive.
I survived.
She didn’t.
Eventually, the flood had receded. It was a mockingly sunny day today, in fact. A sun that could no longer warm Amberdapple’s pelt. The tortoiseshell medicine cat was not the only loss. Thorncrawl, the deputy, Pheasantdrift, Tansyhusk, Blazetumble, Dashkit… They drowned too. But Amberdapple was the only one that mattered to her. It still didn’t feel real. And in a rare moment, tears sprung to Lilacshade’s eyes. I’ve lost many friends before. But you are so, so much more than that, Amberdapple… “How can I go on without you?” It came out as a hoarse, cracked whisper. “I feel so useless! How could I have let you die?”
“I was supposed to protect you. I’ve never felt like I did with you. And I let you slip away…”
She tossed a look over her shoulder, swallowing back the rest of her tears. This is no time to cry. There is so much to do for the clan. And I am PlumClan’s warrior, not Amberdapple’s. Lilacshade swept past Widclove. Even seeing him nod in acknowledgement hurt. He rejected Fawnstar… but he doesn’t understand just how valuable something like love is. How can cats throw away a treasure I’ve lost?

Fawnstar »
tries to save pheasantdrift - boragesky begs starclan to take care of amberdapple
Burning embers and choking smoke. The fateful fire that had burned PlumClan’s camp and snuffed out so many lives still hung heavy over Fawnstar, over her entire Clan. Some of her warriors still bore burns from the flames, some of her warriors still coughing from the smoke they had breathed in. Some of her warriors were still grieving for their loved ones that they had lost to the raging inferno.
And now tragedy was striking once more, not allowing any rest or recovery for the cats Fawnstar so desperately cared for.
Chilling water and immobilizing currents. Water poured through the makeshift camp of PlumClan, hungry and ruthless. The recent rains had been brutal in the last few days, but Fawnstar had never expected something like this. She had never imagined a flood sweeping through her Clan so soon after a fire had blazed its way into her camp. She wasn’t even sure who had sounded the alarm first, but what the tortoiseshell did know was that she needed to save her Clan. She needed to get her cats away from this new disaster.
Closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, Fawnstar sent out a desperate plea to her ancestors above. StarClan, guide my paws and keep my Clan safe!
She dove into the water.
Brown fur water-logged into black was the first sign of life Fawnstar managed to find among the chaos of water. While it did not matter who she was saving, who she was getting to first, the leader did have to take a moment to figure out which Clanmate she had leaped for. She had so many cats to watch out for, so many cats to protect, and with the flood water drenching the pelt of her Clanmates, distinguishable markings and colors just weren’t helping her identify who the cat was.
Pheasantdrift.
The young molly was desperate as she clung onto the soaked bark of a tree, crying out as a Clanmate’s body tumbled past them in the chilling waters. Fawnstar’s blood ran cold. She had witnessed death time and time again, had even experienced it herself on more than one occasion, but she didn’t think she would ever get used to seeing it. Especially in such a traumatic way.
Blazetumble… So young and so full of promise. She prayed StarClan would take him with open paws.
Pheasantdrift’s voice snapped the leader out of her thoughts. While the young molly spluttered on about the fire, about how she believed she had somehow started that tragic event, Fawnstar busied herself with trying to get her up and out of the danger. ”Had you started the fire or not, why should you be left to drown in this water now? My duty as Clan leader is to protect all those who loyally serve under me, and never once have I doubted your loyalty and service for PlumClan.” Fawnstar pulled forward, feeling herself budge, feeling herself tug Pheasantdrift forward.
…
A slip of the paw. A hiss of water.
It was cruel irony, Fawnstar thought to herself, as the cat known as Pheasantdrift drifted away.
A mournful yowl, a cry, a shuddering sob. Fawnstar wasn’t sure what escaped from her mouth.
Please, StarClan, guide her to your hunting grounds swiftly. Watch over my Clan.
- - -
In the wreckage they had found too many bodies. In the wreckage they had found no evidence that some of her Clanmates had ever existed.
Pheasantdrift, Blazetumble, Tansyhusk, Thorncrawl, Dashkit.
So many young cats. So many warriors who had so much to live for. A second deputy she had lost in just a few short moons. A kit who had only just recently began to experience what it was like to be a Clan cat. Fawnstar had no words. No thoughts. Sorrow weighed heavily within her chest, pushing down on her entire body. She wanted to slump down and give up, wanted to beg StarClan that they take some of her extra lives and give it to those who had lost the only life they would ever have.
But if their deaths hadn’t been enough already, it was the body of the last cat her Clan had discovered in the debris that had truly devastated the leader.
Amberdapple.
Her sister. Her littermate. Her medicine cat. Perhaps they had not always been able to spend time together, and perhaps they had not always understood each other, but they had been kin. They had been littermates. Growing up together, they had always been full of ambition and dreams, one to become the best healer in PlumClan, and one to become the best leader PlumClan had ever seen. One sister had achieved that goal - Fawnstar would always believe that Amberdapple had been the best healer to ever walk among PlumClan’s ranks, but as the tortoiseshell gazed upon her bedraggled, grief-stricken Clan, she knew that the other sister had failed. The other sister would never live up to her dreams, for a great leader would have never allowed so many of her Clanmates to die. She hoped and prayed that, for all her faults, StarClan would hear her. That StarClan would heed her pleas that they take care of Amberdapple. Her sister had served PlumClan so well, and had dedicated her life to pleasing StarClan’s wills and wishes. The least their ancestors could do was provide for Amberdapple just as well as she had provided for them.
Thoughts of her sister lingered as Fawnstar called her Clan together, as weak and shocked as they were. She herself didn’t want to stand here in front of them and gather them together after yet another major disaster, but she knew she had to. She was their leader. She was the one who had to rally hope in their hearts. She was the one who had to stand tall and wear her own sorrow behind a mask.
”Cats of PlumClan, tragedy has struck yet again.” StarClan, did we do something wrong? Why are you punishing us? ”Tonight we will sit vigil for those we lost.” Her voice went husky, scratchy as she continued, ”Pheasantdrift, Blazetumble, Tansyhusk, Thorncrawl, Dashkit, and…Amberdapple.” So many young cats. Her second deputy. Her own littermate. Fawnstar closed her eyes, drawing in a deep breath. She needed to conceal her feelings. Needed to swallow down her grief.
Duskfeather, Thorncrawl, will you approve of my choice? Will you protect my new deputy?
Fawnstar was hesitant to name a new deputy. The fate of her last two had not been great, and she was beginning to wonder if there was some reason behind that, if somehow the cats she named as her deputy were cursed by some unforeseen force. Would any cat she named deputy here on out be safe? Was she signing away the life of a warrior she trusted and wanted at her side? She hoped not. She truly hoped not. ”PlumClan needs a new deputy, and after some thought I have decided who that cat will be. I say these words before StarClan, so that Thorncrawl may hear and approve of my choice. Blizzardwing will be the new deputy of PlumClan.”
StarClan, please don’t take her away from me. Don’t take her away from PlumClan.
Fawnstar »
asks wildclove to be her mate - moonKT60633 feels wildclove understands her like no other cat
A few days had passed since the flood. Birds continued to sing in the trees while mice continued to scuttle about in the fallen leaves. It was as if tragedy had never happened, as if six cats had not just been taken from PlumClan’s ranks. Fawnstar wasn’t sure how she felt about it all. She wasn’t sure if she should be happy that the land remained healthy, even in leaf-fall, or if she should be envious that the world around them seemed so peaceful. So normal while her Clan was still reeling from the trauma of the flood. But what the leader did know was that she needed to get out and stretch her legs. She needed to clear her head, and what better cat to do that with than Wildclove?
In the past few moons Fawnstar had been noticing the tom more and more. She had been well aware of how his dark brown tabby and white fur glinted in the sunlight, and how his blue eyes danced with pride for the Clan that had taken him in so many seasons ago. From kittypet to trusted warrior, he had shown his loyalty over and over again, so much so that Fawnstar had taken a special notice in him. Wildclove worked hard. He put his Clan over himself, and Fawnstar had witnessed just how quick he had been to help after the fire and now after the flood. In the back of her mind she wondered if he would have made a fine deputy, but her weariness of losing a tom like Wildclove made her hesitate in that choice. No, she had decided, Wildclove would not be her deputy. Besides, she had Blizzardwing for that position, and the white molly was proving to be a fine deputy. She was wiser than her moons and had an innate knowledge of the world around her. She was a perfect second in command, and as Fawnstar and Wildclove ventured into the fields of PlumClan territory, she wondered if Wildclove would be interested in taking on a different role. A role that wasn’t truly important, but a new role nonetheless.
It had been seasons since Fawnstar had last taken a mate, but surely Wildclove, a cat she felt understood her like no other, would want to take the role of leader’s mate? Surely he felt the same way toward her that she did to him? Surely his heart fluttered everytime he looked her way, and surely he needed to remind himself how to breathe when they stood so close to one another.
Fawnstar slowed her steps as the two scaled the incline of a hill. The leader’s blue gaze glanced outward, taking in the sights of all the land twolegs had taken for their own prey - rows of corn, pumpkins sprawling out, stalks of beans poking up from the ground. How beautiful it was, how peaceful. It was hard to imagine that just on the other side of this hill, where both she and Wildclove had their backs turned, disaster eroded the land and dirtied the ground with driftwood and other debris.
While she knew now probably wasn’t the best time for such a vulnerable question to be asked, Fawnstar wasn’t sure she would ever get another chance to pose the question. As leader, she didn’t often get a chance to just take a walk with one particular Clanmate, and as leader she didn’t often get a chance to be so open and so vulnerable with another cat. Perhaps that was why she had fallen for Mysh all those seasons ago. Perhaps that was why she had admired the gray tabby’s sauve, the way he so easily walked through life without a care in the world, always wearing a charming smile that lit up his beautiful amber eyes. He had been her only ticket to get away from Clan hardship, even if the time they had spent together had been short and sweet. But perhaps she could feel that way with Wildclove. Perhaps she could feel that way with another cat, a cat who understood Clan life.
The air she drew in was cold as it entered her lungs. Fawnstar shivered, turning her gaze toward Wildclove. It was now or never. Now or never.
And she picked now.
”Wildclove, I…I’ve been wondering lately… Well, I’ve been thinking about how nice it would be to have a cat at my side, to confide in and find comfort in. To support and be supported by.” Her ears went warm, her tongue suddenly feeling heavy between her teeth. When did she lose her ability to gather her cats together with a riling speech? ”I was wondering if you’d want to be that cat for me, and I that cat for you. Would you…like to be my mate?” She stared at the brown and white tabby with wide eyes, pelt aflush with buzzing warmth. Would he accept? Did he feel the same way? Oh, stars, she hoped. She hoped and prayed that he did. It would be one shine of light in these dark times, and Fawnstar needed something to bring some light back into her life.

Bumblecrest @moonkt60633 boragesky
The gleam of the day was bright for the floods that had ravaged them a few days before... They had reached the flooded river and began fishing. He crouched patiently, as a large shadow swam near he lunged pulling the large fish known as a trout onto the land. His fur dripped from the splashing and h felt slightly aggravated. He bit into its neck crushing its spine with a satisfying *crack* "Big guy... He'll be good food for elders or any cat." He set it aside and continued fishing, his tail flicked anxiously, and he scared a fish. A few minutes later he had caught multiple fish and with the size of the patrols catches; they would have enough prey for almost the whole clan! His golden fur seemed to shimmer in the soft light, and the muddy squelch beneath his paws seemed almost melodic, the soft breeze ruffled his fur and brought plenty of scents to him. The smells of the forest surrounded him, and it seemed for a bit he had forgotten the tragedies that had happened at camp.

Wildclove Water thunders though camp, washing out and away what few shelters they had made- Wildclove lifts his feet high, swimming strongly, back paws grasping at slippery mud. He can barely see through the rainFire- now a flood! What had Plumclan done to deserve such wrath! He thinks, hauling himself onto land and out of the dark current. He sees Dogstripe do the same, her bending around to help her brother into shoreAssured that she's okay- he snaps back to their camp, calling over the roaring river for any clanmates in need. He ducks, locking his legs when another deluge of water hits the camp, washing out the medicine den. The current is stronger than anything he's ever seen- then what any cat could survive “No!” He jowls, near in time with Lilacshade. Startled, he looks over- she's going to jump! Wildclove leaps forward and sinks his teeth into her scruff, she fights, screeches, spinning and bucking as he overpowers her and drug her back to shore. One paw flicked up and nicked his jaw, though Wildclove couldn't tell if its bleeding or not- with the rain“Enough Lilac!” His voice is muffled, his paws scrambled for purchase in the muck, “It's too late!” it shatters his heart to say it, all those clanmates… “You can't do anythin’ for her! Don't die for nothin’!” He plants his feet on a rock, holding the desperate griefing warrior in his jaws. He saw Amberdapple get swept away- too fast for any aid “I’m sorry” He mutters, loud enough for Lilacshade to hear if she were listening “I’m so sorry”----- The flood receded, and they counted their dead- though as much as it pains Wildclove to admit, Plumclans used to losing camps and cats. Through the worry he's proud of how fast his clan bounces back- already they're working on a new place to live. Wildcloves gotta keep up- so he and other decided to do what they could to feed the working warriors. The shallow pools of water left over make easy pickings for fish. Wildclove praises Bumblecrest on his huge catch- and helps him bring the giant fish home. ----- Fawnstar had called the chocolate warrior on patrol- and he was always happy to oblige her. The pair had silently stalked the hills, he was distracted by the sprawling fields of the twolegs *housefolk* he snorted to himself, the name amused him, with how much they stomp though the orchard. The pair stop, Fawnstar slowing her footsteps and Wildclove following suit. It really was pretty up here, the debris from the fire and flood didnt reach over the hill.Fawnstar looks pensive as she turns to him….and for one horrible second he thinks hes being led out of the clan.It made sense- with the tragedies they can't afford to keep him- and bringing him up here to save his dignity- he shakes himself out of thought as Fawnstar starts talking- it's childish. He knows exactly what his role in the clan is ”Wildclove, I…I’ve been wondering lately… Well, I’ve been thinking about how nice it would be to have a cat at my side, to confide in and find comfort in. To support and be supported by.” He nods, having found that same companionship with his leader too-”I was wondering if you’d want to be that cat for me, and I that cat for you. Would you…like to be my mate?”….….Huh?Wildclove blinks at her, for probably too long.…Huh. The tabby spend a second reevaluating every interaction hes had with Fawnstar- frankly he didnt like the leader at first? Shes one of his closest friends now-He swallows, he should probably say something. It's sudden, right? It has to be?? It's…“Fawnstar” he starts “I'm honoured, really” How to let her down easy…“It's just-” he curls his tail over his paws “I don't think i can…be…that, right now” Wildclove sometimes feels he can't even climb out of his nest- the pressure pressing him down into the soft moss. “With everything that's happened..” With all the cats Fawnstar had lost, he doesn't want to know “I want to focus on the clan" he gets up, brushing his cheek over Fawnstars shoulder “But i'll still be there- no matter what” He grins at her, hoping she couldn't see the wetness in his eyes And if he mutters to himself around camp for a few days after that…that's his business.
ooc: DW Fawnstar im kicking him for u dw about it I was shipping him a *lot* with Jamilah but him and Fawn is SO CUTE and hes being silly. but hes in charge of who he wants to date, if he wants nobody thats his choice

Amberdapple
Death (boragesky , asrise )
It was cold.
Very cold. But it was a welcome change to the raging fires only a few moons before. The merciless fires that had taken the lives of so many. Leopardcry. Hatchhusk. Almost everyone who was important to her. But some cats survived. Fawnstar. Lilacshade.
And they were enough.
Enough for Amberdapple. Her sister and her mate.
The medicine den wasn’t empty. Protonbear was the only one left.
He had such an odd name. Protonbear. Proton. What was a proton? Must be some sort of... plant. A flower, maybe. A pretty orange flower. She’d ask him later. Those were the thoughts swirling around in her mind as she tried to fall asleep. Very slowly. The rain’s pitter pattering lulled her into a deep sleep. The final sleep she’d spend here. In the medicine den. In the camp with all her Clanmate. Everyone she held dear. Everyone who mattered.
Amberdapple woke up with water pooling around her paws. The rain. She could hear it. She stood up quickly. Flood. The camp. Was flooding.
She quickly leapt through the water, every bound sending a spray of water up into the air. A white cat moved at the edge of her vision. Protonbear. He still had a mangled tail. Amberdapple was sure he could make it out himself, but...
“Protonbear! We need to get out.”
She helped haul the tom up onto his feet, then led him out into the clearing. The water had pooled up even higher. She spotted a group of cats struggling towards the exit.
“Go follow them!”
She had to shout to be heard over the roaring of water.
She turned around.
And she was frozen.
She wouldn’t make the same mistake.
Couldn’t.
Last time.
She had let them die.
She hadn’t gone back in.
She had let them die.
But...
This time...
She wouldn’t let that happen.
Not.
Again.
And even if it meant her own life.
She would find anyone left.
And so she dove back in.
It was almost above her head. But she fought through the currents. Towards the nursery.
Leopardcry.
Leopardcry. She saw Leopardcry.
And even if it was only a kit.
Even if it was only Leopardkit.
It was a life.
A life she could save.
So she swam. She was never the best at swimming, but the adrenaline that coursed through her veins gave her strength. Strength to swim towards the small body, struggling to stay afloat, Leopardkit’s head bobbed up and down, dipping in and out of the water. Amberdapple grabbed the kit in her jaws, trying to keep her above the water even if it meant Amberdapple wasn’t. But the current was too strong. It was carrying her and Leopardkit away.
“Cloverfur!” Amberdapple shouted, though her voice was muffled by the kit in her jaws. She had spotted the gray tom, and paddled towards him. The water went over her head, but she fought towards the surface, finally reaching Cloverfur. He took Leopardkit away from Amberdapple. StarClan let him make it out.
She tried to pull herself onto the shore, but the water overpowered her. She fought it at first, but soon she knew there was no point. Leopardkit was safe. Amberdapple had traded her own life for Leopardkit’s. That much was clear. That Amberdapple wouldn’t make it out. So she stopped fighting. Let herself dip under the water. She wouldn’t make it out. She could try, but she knew it was futile.
And then she saw a flash of fur.
Lilacshade.
No. No, Lilacshade couldn’t die. She heard the molly say something, but she couldn’t make it out over the crashing of the water. She let out a cry – she didn’t mean to, but it had escaped her throat so fiercely.
“Lilacshade!”
And she saw white paws wrap around her mate, pull her back to the shore. Lilacshade would live. Even if Amberdapple didn’t, Lilacshade would.
And then she was pulled under.
“Fawnstar. Fawnstar, I’m here.” Amberdapple murmured, brushing against her sister’s side. Amberdapple’s pawprints left shimmering stars behind her. And as they walked towards the temporary camp, the same one they’d used in the fire, Amberdapple knew. She knew they’d be together in the end. Fawnstar and Amberdapple and Lilacshade. They’d be together in the end.
And she just had to wait.

Cloverfur Pulls himself out of his grief, Grabs Leopardkit and takes her to safety (+++), & Prays that Blazetumble is doing well in StarClan || with Amberdapple, Leopardkit It had been raining for days. Nonstop rain that soaked his pelt to the bone. It felt that nothing was dry anymore, and staying in his nest all day wasn't an option. Plumclan needed him to help with patrols, needed him to help prep for leafbare. He couldn't dwell on what he could have done to save Pumpkinswipe in the fire. Instead he didn't to spend time with the family he still had. Besides, Leopardcry was probably watching her, and taking care of her. Marshfur and Bristlefur had both recovered from their burns are well, and though Marshfur was still in the medicine den with whitecough, things seemed to be looking up.
Until the wave crashed into camp.
Cloverfur barely registered the call of "Flood!" Before it was upon them, Sweeping cats off their paws. He quickly stuck his paws out, grabbing a piece of driftwood and hanging on. Some of his clanmates were doing the same, and others like Stargazer were swimming to higher land, but Cloverfur couldn't swim well. I can try. And yet, he still didn't leave his log.
His eyes scanned the waves, but it was hard to tell who was who in the chaos. Why does this have to happen now? So soon after the fire? But it was the opposite element. Water usually meant safety, but here it was tearing apart what they had left.
A call from the waves said his name, and Cloverfur looked up just in time to see Amberdapple paddling toward him, carrying Leopardkit in her jaws. She ducked under the water, but resurfaced, managing to throw Leopardkit in his direction before being swept away. No! But he couldn't save her.
Instead Cloverfur dove into the water, grabbing Leopardkit by the scruff and using all his strength to get them both to where the rest of the clan was going. Higher. Safety.
Finally, they made it to dry ground. But they had to keep going. They had to get higher, to escape the floodwaters. It was a little bit of a trek, but finally they made it to a place they found suitable. The clan lay down, exhausted, and Cloverfur dropped off Leopardkit with her family. "It's going to be okay Leopardkit. You're safe now."
But now Cloverfur had to look for his own family, and a quick scan of the gathered cats confirmed his worst fears. They weren't all there. Blazetumble and Pheasantdrift weren't with them. No! No, no, no! He couldn't lose them too! Not so soon after Pumpkinswipe and Fallowtail! But they weren't here. They were gone.
---
The bodies were found and brought up after the water all but died down. He couldn't bear to look himself, and dragged himself to sit with Bumblecrest, Marshfur, Bristlefur, and Pineconenibble when the bodies were laid out in the clearing for the vigil.
Amberdapple, the clan's beloved medicine cat, Fawnstar's own sister, and Lilacshade's mate.
Thorncrawl, Plumclan's young deputy, who should have been leader one day.
Tansyhusk, a young warrior who still had so much life ahead of him.
Dashkit, still only a kit.
And finally Blazetumble and Pheasantdrift, their pelts soggy and worn, twigs caught in their fur. There was no doubt that they were dead. Cloverfur broke out into silent tears, his eyes only for his kits. Blazetumble was always so worried, he didn't deserve to go like this. Neither did Pheasantdrift, although she was always were confident. Please, please, please be safe in Starclan. Please be with your littermates and Leopardcry, and please, above all else, be happy.
[[ I'll get his patrol up tomorrow! I'm almost done with Blaze's, but I would say that this one is more sad then that one ]]

Golddusk-Flood, is trying to comfort his clanmates He felt a huge amount of panic rise in him as a sudden surge of water flooded the camp. Golddusk tried his best to swim through the water, keeping his head as far above the water as he can. He eventually pulled himself onto a piece of driftwood, hanging onto it until he was able to reach dry shore. There, he followed his clanmates to higher ground in order to escape the flood. He looked around frantically, finally spotting his former apprentices and his former mentor. Good, they all made it out. Golddusk thought, feeling relief. He looked around some more, trying to spot some more familiar faces as he waited with the rest of his clanmates. Eventually, it became clear that not all of the clan had made it out of the flood. Amberdapple, Blazetumble, Phesantdrift, Thorncrawl, Tansyhusk, and Dashkit. So many cats dead too soon. Especially so soon after the fire that had claimed so many cats a few moons ago. What had Plumclan done to deserve this? Golddusk thought to himself sorrowfully. Golddusk then started walking amongst his clanmates, trying to comfort them and offer support to any cats that looked like they needed it. ——— Golddusk-Patrol with Dogstripe and Sapling It was a couple of days after the flood. Golddusk walked with his patrol along the border. Birds sang in the trees and autumn leaves fell gently down from the trees. A peaceful day despite the flood that had just recently happened. Suddenly Golddusk spotted some footprints in the mud and with them, he smelt an all too familiar scent. Burdockclan! He thought, fur bristling in anger. What are they doing here? Are they trying to take advantage of the recent flood to trespass? “I found some footprints here. It seems like there’s a Burdockclan patrol that had passed by here not too long ago.” He told the other two warriors. He then followed the footprints, a task made all the easier by all the mud and water. Soon, he could see the Burdockclan patrol not too far ahead of them. “What are you doing on Plumclan territory?” He snarled at the patrol, baring his fangs and ears flat as he tried to intimidate the patrol into leaving. His claws were unsheathed, ready to fight in case he needed to. squirrelpaw moonKT60633

Forestfreckle .*❁ ________________________________________________________________________________________________* Thinks about all the mistakes she's made * Border patrol with Larchspeck and Kiteprickle Forestfreckle sighed, wishing she could sit on her favorite rock to ponder and meditate. But she couldn't. She could't sit on her favorite rock because the ruins of Plumclan's camp lay on top of it. And now she couldn't even sit in Plumclan's makeshift camp, because the floods had washed it away. It and six of her clanmates. Six more lives to add to the many that had already been lost. The speckled she-cat hung her head low. Perhaps if she had spent more times with her clanmates instead of moping, she would have more happy memories to think about. Perhaps if she focused on spending more time with others she could have been around at the right time to save them from... everything. Forestfreckle began to count, her gray and orange fur plastered against her body as the rain hit her face. She didn't bother to find a nice place to count, she just began.
Twenty four moons ago, I became a warrior early...
A call from nearby dragged Forestfreckle back to reality. She squinted her eyes against the drizzle, trying to make out the clanmate that was trying to get her attention. Auburn paws, a bengal pattern... AUBURNCREEK! Forestfreckle darted forward in disbelief. Was it really her? Was Starclan granting her family a second chance? The tortoiseshell she-cat halted as the young frame of Larchspeck came into clear view. How could she have been so foolish! Of course this wasn't Auburncreek. Her sister was dead.
Forestfreckle stifled a disappointed sigh. It wouldn't be fair to make Larchspeck put up with her poor demeanor. Instead, she tiled her head and meowed, "You called?"
It seemed that Forestfreckle, Larchspeck, and Kiteprickle had been assigned to a patrol. And being the senior of the three, Forestfreckle figured that meant she was in charge. She wasn't in the mood to be in charge, but she would do it anyways.
"Alright, lets go," She meowed, and led the way out of camp and towards the Burdockclan border. They were to check on Rushing Creek, and make sure the water was still going down. As they reached the creek, Forestfreckle blinked the rain out of her eyes, trying to make out the water's edge against the mist. "Larchspeck, why don't you head upstream and make sure all is well up there, and Kiteprickle, head downstream? I'm going to try to re-mark the scent line. Not that Burdockclan will be making any attempts at crossing right now... that would be- what's that?" Forestfreckle noticed a muddy lump slopping against the far bank of the stream. She padded carefully forward to get a closer look. As she drew closer, wide eyes began popping out of the dense gray air.
Burdockclan warriors! What do they want? Forestfreckle frowned. She didn't want to deal with them right now. However, it was her job, so she padded closer, and took in their frazzled features. Along with wide eyes, their wet fur was standing on end and fear stench overpowered the smell of their wet fur. They were scared. Scared and looking at something in the water. Forestfreckle suddenly rushed forward, realizing what the muddy lump was. It was a cat!
"He- He got too close to the edge! We- we- we don't know what to do!" A Burdockclan warrior wailed. They were all young. All... Larchspeck's age. Forestfreckle didn't know them, but she knew what pain they would endure if nothing was done. This was her chance to make up for her mistakes. Without a second thought, and without alerting her own clanmates, Forestfreckle shot forward and dove into the water. It's icy claws stole the breath from her lungs, and with a gasp, she surfaced. Panicked, the she-cat's emerald eyes flashed around. She could feel the raging water pulling at her long fur, dragging her down. Water spluttered from her jaws, but with a jolt, she remembered her mission. She spit the water out, took a deep breath, and pushed forward towards the muddy mass. With fierce determination, she reached the waterlogged warrior and dragged him onto the bank.
She saved his life, and for that Burdockclan was grateful. Forestfreckle dodged the thank you's and the praises of her bravery. She didn't feel like she deserved it. She was just happy that she had been in the right place at the right time for once to make a difference. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ OOC: ivypool4life (Kiteprickle) polarized (Larchspeck)

Blazetumble Is swept away in the flood || :( The weather was strange. That was all Blazetumble had noticed the past few days, the same as the rest of the clan. He shuffled his paws nervously, looking up at the sky. They were still in their makeshift camp, the deviation from the fire still not passed. The ache of losing Pumpkinswipe, Fallowtail, and Leopardcry still hung in his heart, but he wasn't sure if they would ever leave. Not until he joined them, at least.
It was raining again. It had been raining heavily the past few days, leaving whatever cover they had from their temporary camp useless. I wish the fire never happened. Then Leopardcry would still be alive. His pelt was soaked through, his short fur clinging to his pelt uncomfortably. It seemed all of Plumclan was in camp at the moment, a strange period of time where no patrols were out.
And that was when the tragedy struck.
Someone yelled "Flood!" Just as a wave of water splashed into Plumclan's camp. It wasn't a slow build, instead a flash, submerging and dismantling the dens before Blazetumble could even say his name. Marshfur! Marshfur is in the medicine den! But Blazetumble had reacted too slow. The cats and debris were already swept up, and it was all Blazetumble could do to stay afloat. Cats were making their way to higher ground, and Blazetumble started to head that way. Then another wave crashed into him, and he submerged.
It was horrible. The water closed in on him on all sides, and he desperately churned the water, fighting his way to the surface. When he got his head above the water, he sucked in a large breath, but he could already feel himself starting to shut down. Cats were screaming everywhere, some trying to fight their way out of the water and others screaming for cats that had disappeared. "Help!" He managed to get out before he went under again.
A cat grabbed his scruff, pulling him back up to air. He flailed around for a second before he saw who it was, Tansyhusk! "T-thanks..." But they were sinking again, both of their bodies submerging under the water. "Let-" But he was cut off when his head went under, and this time, Blazetumble didn't have the strength to bring himself up.
---
When he opened his eyes, he was dry. He almost leaped with joy, some cat must have gotten them out! Until he saw Leopardcry. Leopardcry is dead. He blinked, taking a pawstep toward her, then looked pack. Stars. Tears filled his eyes, and he embraced Leopardcry, turning to look behind him at the remainder of his clan. Will anyone even miss me? Will Cleverer, Marshfur, Bumblecrest, Bristlefur, or Pineconenibble even miss me?
"I don't want to be dead." He mewed, stepping back. "I know sweetie. But It'll be okay. I promise." Leopardcry mewed, her voice calming. Blazetumble's tears stopped, and he met Leoaprdcry's eyes again. "Is Starclan... how is it?" His mother smiled at him, swishing her tail before turning and looking out on the horizon.
"I guess you'll find out." [[ Not my baby Blaze!!!! Hopefully he'll by happier in Starclan with his mother and siblings :( ]]

A few days after the flood.
The flood that had taken so many cats.
Bristlefur was on patrol, alone.
They smelled another cat. Probably not one of their clan mates. Probably a rouge.
Bristlefur had to think fast.
Ambush time.
Bristlefur had located the rouge.
"Hah!"
The rouge ran, probably thinking they were not alone.

Firnvoice - Flood! - Escapes with Finchheart - - - {--} with Finchheart It was a normal day. Just like any other. The weather was unusual yes, but nothing Firnvoice had never seen before. Yet, she had never expected this day, this rainy day, to be one she would never forget.
Her pelt tingled. Her senses heightened. She could feel it. The vibrations, it make her shake to the bone. Jerking water heading for Plumclan’s demise, deafening rain. She immediately jumped up to her paws, knowing she was the first one awake. “Flood!” She yelled, even if she couldn’t hear the other cats reactions. “Every cat! A flood is coming!” She wailed again, and her eyes widened when she saw a massive pool of water enter the camp. She went to run, but it was too late. The water caught her, like prey. She went to shout, to say anything, yet only water entered her jaws. She pushed her paws, trying to kick. She kicked her paws back and forth, in a swinging motion. She took a massive breath as her head appeared out of the tide that had engulfed their camp whole. Her head seemed to bob as she looked for anywhere to go. Cats were escaping to high ground, so she decided that’s where she would head next.
Just as she was about to start her escape, she caught something in the corner of her blue gaze. Finchheart, the Flowerclan medicine cat, trying to swim. She could sense she had hurt her paw, causing her swimming to weaken. If Firnvoice didn’t react fast, the molly might not make it out alive. Firnvoice pushed herself, aware of the water stuck in her ears. Her head every so often dropped into the water, but the determination for a sick cat made her try harder every time. Firnvoice padded over to the young cat, grabbing her scruff in her jaws. “Push! Use those 3 paws, I’ll guide you!” She spoke loudly, unaware if her message carried along with the sounds of the waves. She started to push harder, carrying Finchheart. Firnvoice kept on moving, the surface in the distance. Just a bit longer. That was all they needed. Firnvoice felt another vibration in her paws, and turned around. A large, fast wave was coming. They needed to move faster. Firnvoice tried harder, pulling Finchheart more. They needed to reach there in time.
“Push Finch, Kick harder!” Firnvoice wailed, aware of the current coming for them. She could feel the fear radiating off the nearby cats, and knew they were close. But the water was closer. She took one final hiss of effort as she lodged Finchheart up to the surface, the orange furred molly dropping onto the wet ground. She blinked with relief. But it wasn’t over yet. Firnvoice yowls echoed as she tried to get up herself, but was instead caught by the same current that had threatened them both.
I need to go back. I need to go back. I can’t leave yet. The words echoed in her mind, and forced herself to open her eyes. The misty, dark camp laid underneath them. She could feel the darkness calling her, but she couldn’t give up. There was too much to lose. She raced for the surface again, even though her exhaustion tried to drag her deeper. The light was the only thing she could see, so she decided to swim to that. Reaching the light, she pushed herself up, rising out of the water. She spat out the liquid, her heart racing. She took faster breaths, before going for the surface again. Firnvoice managed to reach it this time, even if she was breathless. She shook her fur dry, even if it was near useless. Seeing the rest of the Plumclan cats, she picked up her pace, needing any kind of support. She didn’t want to look back. The thought of the water made her shiver.

Larchspeck - Flood! - Saw Twolegs close to camp - Thinks Kiteprickle is correct - Burdockclan in trouble! - Patrol {--} with Kiteprickle, Forestfreckle Larchspeck felt his ears prick when Firnvoice had yelled the warnings of the coming flood. He jumped out of nest, his weak leg wobbling as he did. His sister, Dogstripe looked at him with the same worry. They would make it out of this together. He ran out of the den, slowing down because of his lame hind leg. Dogstripe came to his side, helping his balance. He wanted to growl, to tell her he could do it himself, but knew that wasn’t true. He needed her help more than ever.
Then the wave hit. Lucky enough for him, his sister was a good swimmer. She helped him paddle, and the two eventually managed to wade out of the depths together. “Thank you, Dogstripe.” He purred, feeling his heart beat faster than ever. He had never been so close to death, not since the fire. He wasn’t sure if he would’ve made it out alive without Dogstripe. “Come on. We should head to safety,” He guided his sister, and started to make the way first, limping over to higher ground.

It wasn’t long after the flood. They had lost so many clanmates. Too many, especially after the amount they lost from the fire. Since the flood, Larchspeck seemed to find more and more Twolegs close to the camp. It wasn’t good. But maybe, they would fix it. He wasn’t sure, but he would definitely keep an eye on them. He joined Kiteprickle at the entrance, before soon growing impatient at his former mentor’s poor timekeeping. Even kits could remember when to go on a patrol better than Forestfreckle. “Forestfreckle! Come on, you pile of lazy bones!” He called, purring. When Forestfreckle ran over to him with a look of disbelief, he took a step back out of surprise. He blinked at her with confusion, before she fixed herself.
“You called?”
Larchspeck fixed himself up, correcting his posture. “Yeah. Uhm. Patrol, with us.” He blinked awkwardly, flicking his tail. He nodded to her leadership, and followed after her. His weak hind leg wobbled as he attempted to keep their pace. When she started barking out orders, he nodded. Larchspeck tilted his head when he heard the wailing of a distant cat too. He limped after Forestfreckle, seeing what was below. “For Starclan sake, what mouse-brains! Who would jump into water.” He rolled his eyes. The water only reminded him so much of the floods. He jolted out of his thoughts when he saw the look in his former mentors eyes. “Don’t tell me—No. They could deal with their own cats!” He growled. Yet, he was too late. The auburn she-cat had dived into the water, and Larchspeck tried to call for her. The water looked chilling, and the thought made him shiver.
When Forestfreckle had returned, he just looked at her in disbelief. “That was so mouse-brained! You could’ve drowned, and for what? A Burdockclan cat!” He snorted. Kiteprickle agreed with him, sharing a familiar comment. “Exactly! Kiteprickle’s right. Honestly, Forestfreckle. There is different clans for a reason.” He raised his chin, then walked ahead, trying to forget the fact how stupid his weak hind leg looked. What would he have done? He asked himself. I would have left him.

Sapling is finally getting better from her headache, saves mousepaw from the flood, and helped scare away a burdockclan patrol. She also helps Crunchytail organize the younger cats. Maybe being a clan cat is not so bad after all!
