Still under a tropical storm warning right now, but things are looking a lot better. It’s more like a normal tropical storm warning, without the threat of major, historic floods. Just minor floods with a few low-lying areas getting worse.

Yesterday was awful though. Tornados early morning Tuesday and lots of rain causing some minor flooding. Charleston has been on a curfew for the past 3 days. Lots of flooding there. To be expected since it floods whenever it rains.

I live further inland in an area that isn’t usually flood-prone. Except that it did flood during another stationary front from the 1000-year flood in 2015, which surprised everyone. The houses were fine but the roads in the area were underwater and people used boats to get around. We’re okay so far. The roads that had minor flooding have dried up. Nearby creek and river levels have gone down.

Still have a bad cough from Covid and get winded easily. I went for a recheck today and got a few more days off from work. Asthma started to flare up from it but not bad enough for me to go to the ER.

Sure, we can do a timeskip. I think it would be worthwhile to revisit the main plot as well since that seems to have stagnated. We could review what's happened so far, what characters are involved, open up a few more roles so that more characters have a purpose, and loosely map out what happens next so there's a tangible outcome for everyone to work towards. Or we could add a small handful of sideplots to give more characters something to do.

In many of the rps I've been in, most scenes end up being hunting or dialogue repeated ad nauseum, but eventually characters run out of things to say and there's only so many ways to write a hunting scene. After awhile it starts to feel like every post is filler while we wait for major plot points to progress and the whole roleplay slows to a crawl. Everybody (myself included) has been busy this summer and that's totally fine and expected; however, I've also felt less engaged with my characters so the incentive to write just hasn't been as strong as it *could* be. Idk if anyone else feels the same way; might just be me. I'm not complaining, though! Just offering up suggestions. I'm open to anything ^^ /gen

I will probably hold off from replying while we decide! Sorry that I have been so busy ;-;

It’s been a long time since anyone has posted!! How is everyone doing?

Got another hurricane in the Gulf that will make its way here on Thursday and Friday after hitting Florida and Georgia. Forecast has most of it going to the western part of SC, so it will just be two stormy days for me. I guess the tropics are finally starting to wake up. 😒

Glad you are ok and I hope everyone else in that area is staying safe too!
