 The fox bit and tore at the two cats that had forced it to drop the third, trying to get in a hit anywhere it could reach or get to. It felt the paw hit over its eye and the pain that followed forced a loud, awful, ear-splitting screech from the beast as it reared back, shaking its head a few times before turning toward the cats again, giving them a chance to see the damage done to its eye, the right eye closed up and bleeding with four deep claw marks straight across it and the left with a deep gash above it that was bleeding down into its other eye. The fox was rabid now, not thinking, not even moving on instinct anymore, it moved on pure rage and malice. As it leaped at them again, it left its belly exposed.
Just gonna repost this)) I also had Stormfur pass out so just waiting on the others uwu |

I have a reference image of him with his form on the front page Because he's not a bengal and his markings don't mimic a bengal, they more are just very similar, but not exact. So the reference image on the front that is with his form doesn't look like a pure bengal either, just a regular cat with similar markings Sorry if I confused you guys on that  ))

When the final kit at last tumbles into the nest, suddenly Rowanfire remembers how to breathe again. His lungs burning as he drags in air, his thundering heart still not quite trusting that their ordeal was indeed over.
His eyes widen a little as he ducks down to grasp the final kit by the scruff of the neck. The kitten was massive for a newborn - no wonder it had caused the new mother difficulties. Rasping his tongue over patterned fur so much like his own, but as though the colour had been seeped out of it following a dip in the river.
“This little troublemaker is another Tom, my love,” he says quietly. Once the newborn son is squirning against his father’s ministrations, lively if furious, Rowanfire relents and sits upright.
“You are remarkable,” disbelief at the strength, the resilience he’d just witnessed sits heavy in his tone of voice. He leans down to nuzzle Florastorm between the ears.
The smell of blood, metallic and heavy, clings to his tongue. Evidence of it pooling in puddles of crimson beneath where his mate lay. The kits were here but the battle wasn’t yet over.
He lowers his head to gently herd the newborns toward the warmth of their mother. Helping each kit find the way to her furry belly, neither mother nor kit needed to move so much of an inch, so careful was Rowanfire in ensuring his new little family were safe.
He was torn between trying to find help, and knowing the scent of blood and mewling or newborn kits would attract a great spectrum of opportunistic predators. More than capable of snatching a kitten from an exhausted queen.
but without help, Florastorm would fade quickly. |

and I think what 𝓡𝓸𝓬𝓴𝔂 𝓑𝓮𝓰𝓲𝓷𝓷𝓲𝓷𝓰 drew is very similar to the reference photo. You can definitely distinguish the spots from the stripes of the littermates, and I believe kits furs tend to darken a bit as they get older. Particularly as they shed their kitten pelt

Bittermeadow wasn't even thinking anymore. Their wounds stung, and they were trying to cover Stormfur at the same time. It seemed the tom had passed out from their wounds. We need to get out of here quick! Otherwise Stormfur might die. But the only way to do that is to drive away the fox, otherwise the task it almost impossible.
But it seemed the fight was almost over. Coastivy had managed to get a claw across the right eye, and the fox had a moment of weakness. The foxes left side was left exposed, and Bittermeadow used this opportunity to dart in, and pummell the side with their front paws. Their hind leg injury was really bothering them now, slowing them down a little, making their attacks weaker with every moment. But, the fox was growing weaker too, and this made Bittermeadow stronger. More focused. We need to win. We need win. We need to protect Effervescentclan. The thoughts pounded in their head, over and over again, willing it to be true.

BreezewingBreezewing looked gently down at the apprentice. He laid his tail tip on her shoulder. “I know you’re disappointed, but these things take precedent. We must protect the clan. Sick cats can’t eat the prey we catch.”
This was an uncharacteristically somber moment for Breezewing. In his heart, he wanted to agree with Cricketpaw. It’s only one sickly animal - why let it disrupt a whole patrol? But he was in command, and he must think beyond his own whiskers.
“I’m sure your mentor would be willing to take you out to the marsh tomorrow.” He said with a smile, flicking his eyes to Goldenshade. He hoped they would agree with him.
FinchpawIt had been a long morning for Finchpaw. Hunting training, searching for herbs, and lots of walking for the barely-grown cat. They were grateful when Rippleleaf said they could go on ahead to the camp. A chance to rest my paws.
They had been trotting along towards the camp, jaws full of herbs, when a strange scent entered their nose. Their face scrunched up. What was that? Moments passed before Finchpaw realized. The smell of…birth? But outside camp? Horrified, they dropped the herbs and raced towards the smell.
At the end of the scent trail, they found Florastorm, Rowanfire, and four kits. Kits!
“Oh great StarClan,” they breathed out, surveying the scene. It wasn’t looking great. Remember your training! They screamed internally.
“Florastorm, I’m going to fetch you some herbs that will help strengthen you. Rowanfire, keep her comfortable and make sure the kits are all breathing.” Finchpaw dashed off in the direction of the medicine den. |

 She didn't react when her mate ushered her kits closer, didn't react to the feeling of them nuzzled into her fur and latching on to nurse. Fading in and out of consciousness her vision was wavy, everything seeming to come in and out of focus around her, eyes unable to adjust or focus on anything as pain still ached through her body, though her exhaustion won true and forced her to simply lay limp. Nothing was really registering in her mind anymore, just a slow fogginess that enveloped her brain really, not even noticing when Finchpaw suddenly appeared, spoke, and left again.

 Helleboretouch had been having a decent morning thus far, going out early that morning before dawn had even come to search for herbs since she had been having difficulties sleeping the night before and decided it better to be productive if she wasn't gonna be able to rest. Returning to camp now with a large bundle of several different herbs she had found around the molly made her way to the medicine cat den and found both Rippleleaf and finchpaw were currently out. Thinking nothing of it she moved over to the wall that held the alcoves where all the herbs were kept and began to sort out her bundle of herbs into their correct places.

 The small tom was big, almost over twice the size of a normal kit. With his size didn't come a great strength though as it took several long moments before the kit began to breath, and a few more for him to begin to squirm and move around, but he doesn't mewl or cry out. As he is laid by his siblings the strange smells around him are curious, his surroundings different now and the sensations greatly different from before. A familiar smell appeared though as he was moved toward a large, soft body. His mother. Curling close to her and beginning to nurse the kit settled down, but never once makes a noise the whole time.
(just a little starter with him too since everyone else posted one for the other kits too ))

Firehawk on Patrol with Breezewing, Goldenshade and Cricketpaw tumblepaw busybee [X] . VeniVidiVici . [X]Firehawk had remained mostly silent during the whole ordeal which was a rarely for him. He had done everything he could as to not touch the sickly looking bird. Last thing he wanted was to end up in the medicine cat's den. He despised being sick! For a moment, he considered asking if Cricketpaw wanted to hunt with him, but he decided to just keep his mouth shut. The sooner they got back to camp the better! He was suppose to be napping anyway. |
