He couldn't just sit here in his grief for his leader, it was bringing him down. He turned to the other apprentices. "How about we go hunting? It would help us get our minds off things" he meowed, his tail sweeping over the ground as he waited for a reply

She was slightly distracted looking at the ground she heard something about hunting and looked up the others were staring at her expectingly. “Um id like to go hunting?” She took a wild guess and she knew she guessed right because no one looked at her strangely. That was the good thing about usually being distracted- she got better at guessing each time. It sure had saved her a few times!

Talonpaw shuffled his paws anxiously, his reply hesitant for once. "I don't know. Do you think we should?" He'd mew finally, blinking at Sparrowpaw and Adderpaw. His ears were pinned back, it's not everyday your leader just drops dead. He slowly sat up, twitching his tail. "I'll go, but we shouldn't be out too long." |

"Hunting sounds good. I'll go." Willowpaw, who was carefully grooming her tortoiseshell fur, meowed. Anything to take my mind off our leader dying. "We should tell our mentors, though." She did want to go hunting, but she didn't want to be stuck picking ticks off the elders for the rest of her apprenticeship, and she was sure the others didn't want that either. |

"Yes I agree" Quailfeather said. And even when elders died of old age, well their heart stopped and, well, it was slightly less dramatic. She fluffed out her fur, glancing around the camp. Most of the apprentices were huddling around the body of Tourmalinestar, talking in hushed voices. At least it seems they are taking this seriously. She looked around for her apprentice, Sparrowpaw, but didn't see him out of the corner of her eye. "I-I wonder...do you think that somecat poisoned her? I mean- not one of our cats, who would do that? But maybe an outsider? Have we had any conflict with a rogue group lately out on patrol?"
LimepawCamp Clearing - With Apprentices (aquatail, 《🎄○●cøpper●○🎄》, Slightdapple)
Limepaw listened to the other apprentices talk about hunting for a few minutes, before he jumped in. "I'll go as well" He said. Limepaw knew a little about hunting (the basics) and he could also collect herbs while he was out. Plus, more cats to help carry them back. Win-win. |

There’s been a mixup with the mentors since I’m mentioning my own apprentice. Maybe we can pretend they’ve already got permission? Or just a sentence saying ‘I went to check with my mentor and they approved!’ ‘Mine said yes too’ etc

WhistlethornTalking with Quailfeather near the warriors den. ( Dew )Arrogant, Loyal, Observative——— He took a moment to think before he mewed his response. “Poison? Maybe. But from an outsider, I don’t think so. Tourmalinestar hadn’t voiced any threat of outsiders. Why would they attack us now?” His tone was confused, trying to figure out what had happened still and why. It’d seem silly if she’d died to a piece of crowfood or something. “All that we can do is wait and see if the medicine cats can figure anything out.” He turned to look back at Tourmalinestars body, looking at the apprentices huddling around. An odd sight, but surely its just because of Tourmalinestars death. He turned back to Quailfeather, his tail twitching.

Sparrowpaw and Oakpaw | With other apprentices and Stormshadow(Dew , ωιℓ∂ вℓυєѕ , Hawkeyes258 , aquatail , Slightdapple )Sparrowpaw flicked his tail as all the other apprentices agreed with his idea of going hunting. "Great! But I don't think we need to tell our mentors, they're all grieving right now. We should let them be" he trailed off as he noticed Stormshadow walking over. He waved his tail in greeting. "Hi Stormshadow. We were just...talking" he meowed, trying not to look they were planning anything Oakpaw had noticed that quite a few of the warriors were sending looks their way. He shifted his paws uncomfortably. He looked around for his mentor, Cedarfall, to see if he would go with them. He didn't want to risk them sneaking out of camp and getting caught, especially not for something like hunting. He blinked a greeting as Stormshadow approached Silverpaws mentor is Opalflame -Brightheart86 ))

kit ~ she/her ~ 1.5 to 2 moons Tinykit watched her clanmates uneasily from the nursery entrance. Everyone seemed so nervous and upset. The two queens also seemed ill at ease, but they tried to hide it from the kits. Or maybe it was just her imagination?
“Why’s everyone so upset?” she finally asked, her small voice barely a squeak in the air.

Silverpaw jumped as Stormshadow spoke. Even though they were just in front of her, she still felt as if death was about to stroll in… something like that. She blinked at the warrior, and she could tell that the other apprentices were a bit nervous with Stormshadow questioning them. Most of them were trying to act chill, but it was a bit hard when your leader had just died. Deciding to speak up with Sparrowpaw, she let her tail tip trace a light line on the ground. “Stormshadow,” She said, trying to act a bit mature, “You know… you can’t blame us for being on our nerves when our leader just died.” She said, unable to make her voice persuading, as every time she did, her voice would be filled with emotion from the death of the leader.

Ottercloud in camp, near Cedarfall( Dew ) She was one of the last cats to arrive into the clearing, previously busy with reinforcing the outside of the camp, not noticing the commotion happening within. She sat near Tourmalinestar's body, practically in disbelief. Her gaze flickered over to Cedarfall, who was near her. " What happened to her...?" More than anything, she was confused. Tourmalinestar didn't seem to be in bad health... was she attacked? Is the rest of the clan in danger, too? |
