Helloz Deercloud - 3.5 Roseleaf - 4 Smokecloud - 4 Owlfeather - 3 - Nothing wrong with it, it’s just kind of boring Honeystream - 3.5 Sandyblaze - 2.5 - I would like Sandblaze a lot more Swanstone - 3.5 Goldenleaf - 4 Maplewhisker - 4 Most of these use prefixes/suffixes I like so they get in my 3.5-4 range. None really stand out as amazing to me though to warrant higher

OK, I have some more! Leopardheart - 3.5 - I like Leopard- but -heart is a pretty basic suffix Fallowswoop - 2 - Not a fan of -swoop Frostfeather - 4 - Pretty, but fairly simple Barkpatch - 3 - Not bad but it’s not my favorite prefix or suffix Larkneedle - 2 - Dislike -needle and it really doesn’t fit here Lichenfoot - 4 - Lichen- is at least an underused prefix, though -foot is again pretty basic Rowanberry - 4 Briarheart - 3.5 Crowsong - 3.5

and the random number generator picked 7 for you. (you're getting many more soon tho; your post-for-a-Clan is in the oven) Silvergar - 2.5 - I think I’d like gar better as a prefix Mistwhistle - 2 - Not a huge fan of -whistle and I keep reading this as Mistlewhisle for some reason, though that would be worse Stormbranch - 3 Locustroost - 2 - Not sure how I feel about suffix, though prefix works fine Ripplerain - 3.5 - I do think I’d like Rainripple a bit better, but this is fine Leafsplash - 4.5 - I really like this, -splash is a good suffix Hollyflight - 4 - Also like this one quite a bit, but Leafsplash is a little better Very excited for the post-for-a-Clan!! Started looking through your Granite Circle thread recently and it’s inspiring me! Planning to expand on the lore of my Clan and make allegiances/territories for its neighboring Clans when it’s done! I can post more detailed thoughts on the Granite Circle too at some point, but I haven’t gotten super far into it yet (I’ve just read the info at the beginning then gone through most of the SparkClan cats). Really enjoying it so far though, you do a good job of giving the cats distinct personalities and I find Clan political drama to be interesting. Also good to see the context of some of the names you’ve given me on this thread!

Really enjoying it so far though, you do a good job of giving the cats distinct personalities and I find Clan political drama to be interesting. Also good to see the context of some of the names you’ve given me on this thread! ahhhh the Circle is my absolute baby <3 I really do need to go back and redo most of the introduction and history bits, they are so aged compared to the Current Lore. SparkClan is by far the most finished, everything else is an outline at best, so if you got through that, you're over half way done haha If you do drop some comments I would love you forever <3 I love hearing what parts of the worldbuild people connect with and which characters they like if I could give any advice though: start small and build outward. I made the Circle this huge framework and now here I am, almost two years later, still giving that framework the barest of bones. It became easier when I decided to focus entirely on SparkClan and work outward from there. Also that retconning big changes is a huge pain and that's not to discourage spur-of-the-moment ideas but uh. If you plan on making world-altering changes two years in, realize that you will be chasing parts of the retconned lore out of the walls for months afterward. And if you decide to make each Clan 50+ cats (don't.) you will be reaching DEEP into niche names. I've got 700 namedrops in the Circle so far, and trying to stick to each Clan's naming conventions/identity, picking a fitting name for the character, and not picking too many duplicate or similar sounding names is a Process. It's much easier to come up with some name drops for here that I don't ever have to think about again! Ivysting Blossomcloud Heatherstem Shadowspot Russetstream Daisyblotch Blizzardpetal Hailpath

Heatherstem - 3.5 Shadowspot - 3 Russetstream - 4 Daisyblotch - 3 Blizzardpetal - 4.5 - This is also pretty Hailpath - 3 Will do! I may break it up into a couple of comments, each just with part of the Clans, depending on how fast I read through the rest. Yeah that makes sense. I only have one Clan that’s at all developed and the entire plot I have fits within 50 moons (and about half of that is just the Clan founder’s backstory) and the timeline is still confusing. Granted, it wasn’t really made with a solid timeline in mind originally, as it was originally made with a couple of friends in either late elementary or middle school (I don’t really remember but could probably figure it out if I found the original document about the Clan). Would definitely be difficult to come up with new names after that many!! Running out of time to rate the names now so sorry I didn’t do many reasons!

Hi im back hehe Flamestrike - 4 Swiftsoar - 2 - Fits well at least but I don’t care for -soar Shadowheart - 3 - Fine but pretty simple Crowsong - 3 - Same as previous Thistleleaf - 3.5 Spidershade - 4 Doveblossom - 4.5 - Really pretty!

a few more? Grousemask - 3 - I like Grouse but am not a huge fan of -mask Silvermark - 2.5 - Ditto on suffix Pheasantglow - 3.5 - Again I like the prefix a lot but the suffix doesn’t fit super well to me (though -glow is fine in other contexts) Almondnight - 3 - Another interesting prefix but again I just don’t love this suffix with it Warmclover - 2 - Usually love -clover but it feels weird to me here Also realized I forgot to add your 5 from last time to the hall of fame, so I fixed that!

Nighthawk - 3 - Fine but it’s a real bird so I have a hard time seeing it as a two part name (similar to disliking something like “Thunderstorm” as a warrior name) Talonmask - 1 - Hate to do this twice in a row but I dislike both prefix and suffix here Adderface - 1 - Hate -face, Adder- is good otherwise though Lilycloud - 4 - This is really nice

Hello! Reasons please Melodywhisker - 3.5 - Interesting prefix, it’s solid Fogecho - 3 - Just looks weird to me written; I’d prefer echo as a prefix Nightgaze - 2.5 - Not a fan of suffix Graywillow - 4 - I do really like -willow Pantherstripe - 4 - Pretty basic suffix, but I really like Panther- Branchswirl - 2 - Don’t care for -swirl Sweetfang - 3.5 - Decent name, sort of an interesting contradiction that could tell you a lot about the cat’s personality Tansyheart - 3.5 - I like the prefix but this is another name that’s good but doesn’t stand out much Shellbreeze - 4.5 - Probably my second favorite out of these names; I don’t use Shell- much but this sounds so nice Deerspeckle - 3 - Not my favorite suffix but it’s still fine Dustpetal - 4 - Interesting combo and sounds good Swamptail - 4 - Again simple suffix, but I’m giving you points for Swamp- Poppysplash - 4.5 - Poppy- is such a great prefix and I like the suffix too

How about a list with only gen 1 suffixes? I honestly think some of those suffixes are solid in a lot of cases, and while yeah they're basic, there's a time and place that's useful, ya know?

Amberpatch - 3.5 - Amber- is nice Lichentail - 4 - Lichen- is a nice prefix and -tail is one of my favorite basic suffixes Acornfur - 3 Thistlestream - 4 - One of the best of these suffixes for sure, I don’t think it’s as basic as a lot of the body part ones Nightclaw - 3.5 - Simple but -claw is pretty good Dapplenose - 2.5 - Least favorite of these suffixes but still doesn’t sound bad Mousefoot - 3 Owlstripe - 3 Sedgepelt - 3.5 - Gets points for Sedge- Rushfang - 3.5 - I like Rush- and -fang is a pretty decent suffix too Yep, not everyone can have an amazing and unique name or those currently less-used suffixes would just become the common “boring” ones! I’m probably not going to absolutely love a -fur name, for example, but I usually don’t dislike them either, as it does go with most prefixes! A lot of these are in the 3-3.5 range correspondingly, though of course a good prefix can increase that!

Beechbeak - 1 - Do not like -beak at all Tangledfoot - 2 - Doesn’t sound horrible but I don’t care for the prefix much and they don’t go together great Cricketsong - 4.5 - One of the better names here, sounds good and fits together Crystalcry - 2 - Dislike -cry Ripplepool - 4 - Sounds nice Ambershard - 3 - Alright but not my favorite suffix Appleeyes - 1.5 - Dislike suffix and especially with the double vowel Petalwish - 2.5 - Not a huge fan of the suffix Darksky - 3.5 - Solid but fairly basic Sweetheart - 1 - I would not be able to take this name seriously as a warrior name due to its preexisting meaning Sunrays - 1 - Strongly dislike this suffix Gemgaze - 1.5 - Interesting prefix but I don’t like the suffix I changed them all to the normal name format because I cannot understand the flow of them as warrior names the way they were originally written. I’m assuming they’re intended to be warrior names, but if they’re actually ancient names or something please correct me.

oi I usually don't share random lists between raters but I think I went hard on this one a few unorthodox suffixes tho I'd love to see your take Rattleshimmer - 2 - Prefix isn’t my favorite Sunnymist - 4.5 - This is quite pretty! Thornsnake - 4 - I think I’d slightly prefer Snakethorn (I just tend to prefer the animal as the prefix in these cases) but this works fine too Springstem - 3.5 Lavenderscale - 2 - Don’t care for the suffix, but Lavender- is nice Dustblur - 2.5 - Not my favorite suffix Stormbark - 3 - Alright but not my favorite suffix as my first though is always the noise a dog makes instead of tree bark Fernswoop - 2.5 Oakdrift - 3 Sleepymoth - 1.5 - Just not a fan of the prefix this time Going to try to do both of these fairly quickly as I only have 15ish minutes right now, so sorry for lack of explanation on some Edit because I missed Dustblur at first

Morningdaze - 1 - Dislike suffix, but Morninghaze is a similar name I’d like a lot better Fawnrunner - 2 - Dislike -runner Larkspring - 4 Willowstream - 4 Snowwing - 3 - Decent in concept but the double ‘w’ in the middle makes it look/sound a bit odd Heatherdust - 3 - Not my favorite suffix but it’s alright Silverfeather - 3.5 - Sounds good but somewhat basic so I don’t want to make it quite as high as Larkspring and Willowstream, which I like better Frozenblossom - 3 - Not a huge fan of Frozen- as a prefix, I’d like Frost- or something more here Spottedtalon - 2.5 - Doesn’t sound bad but I don’t care for -talon much, and it doesn’t make a lot of sense here

Here let me get you some fun prefixes with Ivy-approved suffixes haha Rosebreeze - 4.5 - Pretty, flower prefixes are nice and obviously I like -breeze Jasmineleaf - 4 Shaleblaze - 5 - Haven’t seen this prefix before but I really like it! Pelicanwhisker - 3 - Not bad, just one of my least favorites of this group; Pelican- is good though, it’s just not my favorite combo Chestnutpool - 3.5 Oakdapple - 4 Snailfrost - 4.5 - Snail- is underused and -frost is one of my absolute favorite suffixes! Puffinfeather - 3.5 - Nice prefix, fairly basic suffix but there’s nothing wrong with it (and sometimes simpler names are good for the situation too) Zenithpetal - 3 Sorry for the delay, I’ve been a bit busy! Good job with the names though, it’s fairly easy to make names I’ll like based on my suffix opinions! I genuinely can’t see any of these as below a 3 (and anything 3 or above are generally names that I personally wouldn’t mind using).
